The beauty of marriage is not always seen from the very beginning- but rather as love grows and develops over time..

The morning sun's rays gently fell on the couple, still sound asleep in bed. Pihu's head rested on Raghav's chest, her arm wrapped around his torso, while Raghav's hand lay softly on top of hers, his other hand protectively holding her by her waist.

Pihu slowly opened her eyes but quickly blinked as the sunlight hit her face. Her eyes widened in surprise at their close proximity, her cheeks warming up. His face was so close that she could feel his breath. Carefully, she lifted his hand from her waist to get up, but not before planting a small kiss on his cheek. In return, Raghav smiled in his sleep.

Pihu then headed to freshen up.

In washroom,

She was intently watching a YouTube video on how to wear a saree.

Pihu muttered to herself, "How many videos have I watched, but I still can't get these pleats right. Maa always told me to learn how to drape a saree, but I never listened. Now Iโ€™m paying the price! Should I call Mahi? No, no, she must still be sleeping. Oh God, what do I do now?!"

Meanwhile, Raghav had woken up, confused about why Pihu was taking so long in the washroom.

Raghav then knocks at the door..

Raghav knocked on the door, worry evident in his voice.

"Pihu? Are you okay in there? Why are you taking so long? Itโ€™s been an hour, and you're still in the washroom. Is something wrong?"

Pihu, hearing his concern, nervously replied, "Yes, Raghav, everythingโ€™s fine. Iโ€™ll be out in just 5 more minutes."

But Raghav wasnโ€™t convinced. "What are you doing in there? If thereโ€™s a problem, you can tell me. Maybe I can help."

Pihu hesitated for a moment before blurting out,

"I... I donโ€™t know how to wear a saree. Iโ€™m trying to figure it out."

Realizing the situation, Raghav chuckled softly. "Oh, thatโ€™s all? Come out, Iโ€™ll help you."

Pihuโ€™s eyes widened in embarrassment. "No, no! Please send someone elseโ€”Mummy or Ritu. They can help me," she stammered, feeling shy as she stood there in just her blouse and petticoat.

Understanding her hesitation, Raghav softened his voice. "Ritu doesnโ€™t know how to wear a saree, and Mummy probably hasnโ€™t left her room yet. Come on, Pihu. Iโ€™ll help you. I know how to drape a sareeโ€”I used to help Ritu all the time before family functions."

After a momentโ€™s hesitation, Pihu slowly opened the door and stepped out, clutching the saree tightly to her chest, her eyes fixed on the floor in shyness.

Raghav smiled gently, sensing her nervousness. He took the saree from her hands, leaving her standing in just her blouse and petticoat, and began expertly draping the fabric around her. His fingers moved deftly as he pleated the saree with precision.

As he worked, his eyes briefly caught sight of the delicate curve of her cleavage through the blouse, but he quickly averted his gaze, respecting her modesty.

In a few moments, Pihu was fully draped in the saree, every pleat perfectly in place.

"Now, look in the mirror," Raghav said with a hint of pride in his voice.

"See how well Iโ€™ve done."

Pihu turned to the mirror, her face lighting up with a wide smile. "Itโ€™s perfect!" she exclaimed, genuinely impressed.

Raghav stepped closer, wrapping his arms around her waist from behind, resting his chin on her shoulder.

"Next time you have a problem, just tell me. Why feel so shy? If you canโ€™t come to me, who will you go to, hmm? I may be a man, but Iโ€™m still your husband."

Pihuโ€™s cheeks flushed a deep red as she mumbled, "Hmmm..."

Raghav chuckled and teased, "By the way, someone gave me a kiss on the cheek this morning."

Pihuโ€™s eyes widened as she looked at him through the mirror. "You were awake?!"

He grinned mischievously. "With such a cute wife, how could I stay asleep? If you can kiss me while Iโ€™m sleeping, why not give me one now?"

Pihu, utterly flustered, tried to wiggle out of his embrace.

"Let me go! I need to go downstairs; Iโ€™m already late," she said, attempting to push him away.

Raghav turned her around to face him, holding her close.

"Oh no, I canโ€™t let you go that easily. After all, I helped you wear this saree perfectly. Donโ€™t you think I deserve a little return gift? Or maybe Iโ€™ll just take it myself."

He pulled her even closer, making Pihuโ€™s breath hitch. She nervously closed her eyes, her hand resting on his chest as her heart raced.

Raghav smirked at her shy reaction but chose not to tease her further. Instead, he gently held her neck and pressed a soft kiss on her forehead.

"Iโ€™d never do anything to make you uncomfortable. You know that, right?" he whispered softly, his voice full of warmth.

Pihu opened her eyes and looked into his, her heart swelling with affection. She hugged him tightly and whispered,

"Yes, I know, Raghav." Then, with a shy smile, she pulled away slightly.

"Now go and freshen up. Iโ€™ll head downstairs," she said, quickly making her escape.

In kitchen,

Pihu, having dressed up in her saree, entered the kitchen to find her mother-in-law, Reema, instructing the cook about the lunch menu.

Spotting Pihu, Reemaโ€™s face lit up with a smile.

"Ah, Pihu beta, youโ€™re already up! Did you sleep well, dear? Why so early?" Reema asked with a hint of surprise.

Pihu, ever polite, responded with a smile, "Maa, Iโ€™m used to waking up early. And yes, I slept very well."

Reema nodded approvingly, "Thatโ€™s a good habit. Today is your 'pehli rasoi'โ€”your first cooking in this house. You can prepare anything you like for breakfast. If you need help, Iโ€™m right here."

Pihu thought for a moment before saying, "Maa, I know how to make gajar ka halwa really well. Can I make that?"

Reema's eyes softened with affection.

"Of course, beta! Make whatever you feel like. That sounds delicious."

With a nod, Pihu set to work in the kitchen, gathering the ingredients and starting to prepare the dish that held a special place in her heart.

The sweet aroma of carrots cooking with ghee soon filled the air.

At the dining table, the family began to gather. Rahul, Pihuโ€™s father-in-law, sat reading the newspaper, while Ritu, was discussing something ta with her brother.

Reema and Pihu began serving breakfast, the anticipation of the 'first dish' evident on everyoneโ€™s face.

Ritu, always quick to find a way out of her commitments, looked at Raghav and said, "Bhaiyaa, I donโ€™t feel like going to college today. I promise Iโ€™ll start from next week."

Raghav raised an eyebrow at her, his tone playful yet stern, "Chutki, youโ€™ve already missed too many classes because of the wedding. Everything is over now, so why donโ€™t you want to go back?"

Ritu shifted uncomfortably, avoiding his gaze.

"Classes havenโ€™t been that great recently... but fine, Iโ€™ll go," she muttered reluctantly.

Pihu observed the conversation closely. There was something hidden in Rituโ€™s eyes, a hint of unease that didnโ€™t sit right with Pihu.

She made a mental note to talk to Ritu later, sensing there was more to her reluctance than she was letting on.

Reema, eager to change the subject, announced with a smile,

"Today, Pihu has made gajar ka halwa for us all. Letโ€™s see how itโ€™s turned out."

Rahul, always the excited one when it came to food, immediately piped up,

"Since Iโ€™m the head of the family, Iโ€™ll be the first to taste it!"

But Reema was quick to remind him, "You canโ€™t have this one, Rahul . Your have sugar levels, remember?"

Pihu, always thoughtful, chimed in softly, "Donโ€™t worry, Papa. Iโ€™ve made a special sugar-free version just for you. Iโ€™ll bring it from the kitchen."

With that, everyone began to dig into the halwa. Pihu stood nervously, watching their reactions, hoping the dish would be to their liking.

Rahul was the first to speak, beaming as he took a bite.

"This is fantastic, beta! Itโ€™s been a while since Iโ€™ve had halwa this good!"

Ritu quickly added with a grin, "Yes, bhabhi, itโ€™s delicious! What do you think, Bhai?"

Raghav, who had been quietly enjoying his meal, finally looked up at Pihu with a smile.

"Itโ€™s perfect, Pihu. Really well done."

Pihu blushed at the compliment, murmuring a shy, "Thank you," her heart swelling with happiness at their kind words.

After a while, Raghav glanced at the clock and stood up.

"Maa, Papa, I need to head to the office now. Thereโ€™s an important meeting I canโ€™t miss."

Rahul nodded approvingly

"Go ahead, son. But make sure you come back home early."

As Raghav prepared to leave, Pihu followed him to the entrance, holding his lunchbox. She handed it to him with a soft smile, her fingers brushing against his as he took it.

Raghav smiled, his eyes filled with warmth as he leaned in and kissed her forehead.

"Take care of yourself, alright?" he whispered.

Pihu, blushing slightly, nodded. "Bye, Raghav. Come home early, okay?"

Raghav grinned at her, his eyes twinkling with affection.

"I will," he promised before stepping out of the door and heading off to work.
