Are you in or are you out?...

Time set: Attack Of The Clones

.

(Y/N) POV.

The sun's almost vanished from the sky by now, which caused the whole scenery in front of me turn red. The speeder was going pretty fast for it's bad condition so I was quite happy about that. Just as soon as I saw the illuminated city of Mos Espa the sun's were already gone. Darkness engulfed every inch of my surroundings.

"Okay, what could go wrong?" I muttered to myself as I parked the speeder behind a big rock.

I let out a long sigh as I stared at the lights and facepalmed myself.

"What could go wrong? Oh, I don't know. Everything?" I asked no one and threw my hands up in the air. "What am I even doing...I'm meeting with my brother, who I haven't seen since I was little, at night on a dangerous planet. Everything could go wrong and nobody could even help me."

It was weird to think about seeing him once again in real life after thirteen years. But I don't know what to expect since I was five the last time I saw him on Alderaan. He must have changed, the question was did he turn worse or stayed the same.

I suddenly stopped what I was doing once I felt a presence of another force user. Without any hesitation I ignited my lightsaber and turned around just in time to block a similar red one. With a grunt I pushed them away and stared as they got back their balance. I could see them scoff under their hood and charged at me once more.

With lots of clashes the duel once again resumed and I immeadietly recognized who it was from his fighting style. Although I knew who it was I didn't back down from the fight but continued to block his attacks. But I forgot one small detail. He also knew my style. The hooded figure suddenly stopped swinging his lightsaber which caught me off guard and swept my feet from the ground. I landed on the sand with a small thud and he quickly switched his lightsaber on, pointing it to my neck.

"Checkmate, sister."

"Checkmate, sister." He laughed as he pointed a wooden stick to my neck.

"You cheated." I pouted and grabbed his hand as he helped me up.

"Oh, come on! It's fun, (N/N)!" Jaster grinned and threw me back my own weapon. "Atleast we can fight if we need to."

"You're only eight, Jas and I'm five. We don't need to fight anytime soon." I looked at him.

"You never know when you need to! Now come on, another round!" He chuckled which made a small smile appear on my face.

"Get that away from me." I hissed glaring daggers at him.

"Oh, come on. It was fun!" Jaster smirked as he pulled off his hood.

He put away his lightsaber and held a hand out to me which I hesitantly took. He pulled me up and didn't say anything while I picked up my own weapon and dusted myself off. I looked back at him and didn't say a word to him which only made Jaster roll his now yellow eyes. He mimicked my stance and stared back at me.

I waited for him to move or do something but he never did. I knew it wouldn't take long since he wasn't a very patient person. I leaned back on the stone behind me and watched him pull his mouth into a straight line. It made me smile in my small little victory of making him irritated.

"Fine, are we going to just stand here and stare at each other?" Jaster finally spoke up.

"I don't know, I could do it all day but I know you couldn't." I told him with a small shrug.

"Jesus, when did you become this salty." He replied hesitantly obviously observing me.

"Maybe once you betrayed us!" I snapped taking a step towards him.

Jaster let out a loud sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose. He shook hid head and looked back at me with a look in his eyes that I couldn't understand.

"You know I didn't have a choice." Jaster stated pointing a finger at me.

"Of course you did! One day you were there and the next morning I couldn't find you anywhere." I answered. "It hurt to know what happened from my parents and not my own brother."

"I didn't know who they were, okay? They said they were jedi and I wouldn't want to waste an oportunity like that." He told me with anger tracing his voice.

"But why couldn't have you told mom or dad before choosing on your own." I mumbled.

"I would've but they were already asleep and you were aswell." Jaster replied looking down at the ground.

"Then why wouldn't you wake us up?"

"Are you seriously that angry about the fact that I didn't do that?" He strained a laugh. "I'm always amazed by your persona."

"Yes, I actually am." I crossed my arms.

"I left with them 'cause I thought they were jedi, alright?"

"Mother, father what's wrong?" I asked as I sat up in my bed.

"Jaster...did he say anything to you yesterday or before you went to sleep?" My mother asked with a voice filled with sorrow.

"Not that I recall, what happened?" I questioned again growing worried.

"Oh dear, he left." She replied and bursted out crying.

"Left where?"

"Remember the big bad people I told you about, with the red swords?" My father turned to me to which I nodded. "He left with them because they told him they were jedi."

"What?" I asked confused as a tear formed in my eye.

"He went away with them by his own will. He betrayed us." He answered.

I furrowed my brows and stared down at the ground.

"But father said you went away by you're own will." I muttered under my breath.

"Father was a liar." Jaster told me sitting down on a rock and motioned me to come over.

While being a little hesitant I slowly walked over to him and sat down on another rock beside him. He once again let out a sigh and turned to me.

"Either you believe his or my side of the story, I don't care but I'll tell you anyways." He let out a small chuckle. "Father always knew I wanted to be a jedi so why would some siths randomly show up trying to lure me away by saying they were jedi. After I turned eight he started acting weird around me which made me think."

Third person's POV.

The eight year old boy ran back to the house in a hurry and a big grin on his face. He just found a rare piece of stone he always wanted to see. Rushing inside he saw his father sitting by the table in deep thought.

"Father! Look what I found." Jaster smiled showing him the sparkling stone.

"Very nice, Jaster." He gave his son a side glance and turned away from him.

-few days later-

"Father, I learned a new stunt!"

"Great job, son." He muttered not even looking at him.

-weeks later-

"Father, did I do something wrong?" The confused boy asked standing in the doorway.

"Leave, Jaster, can't you see I'm talking with someone?" His father hissed.

"Who is it?"

"No one that should concern you." Was the only answer.

-a month later-

"Jaster, I know you always wanted to become a jedi." The older man said kneeling beside the boy.

"Why are you talking to me about that now?" His son asked with a weirded out look.

"When I was talking to that person it was a jedi master. He said they can take you in and train you."

"Really?" Jaster asked a grin making it's way onto his face.

"Of course, I wouldn't lie to you my son. Now go they are waiting for you outside." His father smiled and handed him a bag with a few belongings.

"Can I say goodbye to my sister and mother?"

"I'll tell them in the morning. Now head along." His son smiled and ran out the door, which would also be the last time he ever stepped foot in that house.

"That's not true, Father would never do such a thing." I stated my thoughts swirling around like a storm.

"I told you he was a liar but you never understood my point of view. But I could atleast take my revenge once I killed him that day when the planet was attacked." He answered.

"You were there?" I asked looking up at him immeadietly.

"Of course, I saw you get away with the jedi's. I was happy for you." He smiled and stood up once he saw the horizon start to lighten up once more. "Well, I need to go."

"Wait, you're just going to leave me here all confused?" I snapped standing up to face him once more.

"We'll meet again, don't you worry." He grinned and pulled me into a hug. "My little feisty sister."

"Don't you dare hug me, I'm mad at you now." I mumbled into his chest which caused him to laugh.

"When are you not?" He raised an eyebrow and stepped back into the shadows.

"Hey, get back here you bastard!" I yelled and rushed to where he was a second ago but found no trace of him. "You've got to be kidding me..."

Dragging myelf back to the speeder I was given my mind swarmed with questions. How can he just tell me all of that then just leave me here? Was it even true or was he just tricking me? Did Father actually do that?

Getting on the speeder bike once more I started it up going back the way I came from. If I went fast enough I would get there before the sun's rose so I speeded through the long desert faster than ever. Just as I imagined I parked the speeder back at the small home and saw the sky turning a bright red with the sun's peeking up by the horizon. I stayed by the stairs since I was too worried about Anakin and wanted to make sure he was safe. A smile rose on my face when I saw the reflection of a speeder getting closer and closer. Padmé and the others joined me and watched as Anakin arrived back at the farm. My smile soon vanished when I saw his grim face and the body wrapped up on the back of the bike.

"Oh, no..."

Anakin picked up his mother and passed us all with a look of sadness and rage mixed into one. I looked at him with grief as we met eyes and watched him dissapear from our sight. Owen was about to go after him until I stopped him using the force.

"We should let him be alone for a while." I told him and went inside to a room thst was far from the place I felt his presence from.

I sat down on a chair as a tear rolled down my face. I never really knew Shmi well but I did like her when we met. She was kind to all of us. But the sadness I felt radiating off of Anakin was also overwhelming me.

---------------------

After atleast two hours of sitting in the room with the others Beru showed up with a glass and some food on a tray. She gave me a sad smile as I stood up and took it from her.

"I'll go check up on him." I said and walked away.

Rounding a few corners I felt his presence het stronger and I entered the room only to see him fixing something. Trying not to startle him I approached him slowly.

"I brought you something. Are you hungry?" I asked putting it down.

"The shifter broke. Life seems so much simpler when you're fixing things. I'm good at fixing things...always was. But I couldn't..." Anakin rambled then turned to me with tears in his eyes. "Why did she have to die? Why couldn't I save her? I know I could have!"

"Anakin...not everyone is that powerfull. We can't always fix everything." I told him watching him carefully.

"I should be! Someday I will be...I will be the most powerful Jedi ever! I promise you, I will even learn to stop people from dying." He yelled in anger making me flinch.

Anger was literally flowing off of him which made me uncomfortable.

"You don't need to promise me anything..."

"It's all Obi-Wan's fault. He's jealous! He knows I'm already more powerful than he is. He's holding me back!" Anakin shouted in fury.

He grabbed a metal piece and threw it away and I watched in shock as it clattered to a halt. Something else was bothering him aswell.

"Anakin, did something else happen?" I asked cautiosly.

"I...I killed them. I killed them all. They're dead, every single one of them..." Anakin muttered which made my eyes widen.

This is bad. This is really bad.

"Not just the men, but the women and the children too. They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals...I hate them!" He yelled as tears made their way to his eyes.

I stayed silent not wanting to interupt him. Within a second he broke down crying which made my heart shatter as I crouched down beside him.

"Why do I hate them? I didn't...I couldn't...I couldn't control myself. I...I don't want to hate them...But I just can't forgive them."

"To feel anger is normal, Anakin." I hushed him as he hugged me while crying.

"To control your anger is to be a Jedi." He muttered.

"I know, I know. But we're both human, I lose control sometimes aswell...everything will be okay." I told him combing my fingers through his hair.

"No, I'm a Jedi too. I know I'm better than this. I'm sorry, I'm so sorry!" Anakin cried out and cradled me even closer.

Not caring that my robes were nearly soaking wet on my shoulder I stayed beside him rocking him back and forth whispering positive things to him.
