๐…๐”๐๐„๐‘๐€๐‹๐’ were a futile attempt to make the living feel less guilty for not doing enough to keep their lost loved ones alive. Supposedly, they gave you a chance to say goodbye but is it truly a farewell if the other says nothing in return.

Caitlyn didn't know the answer to that question as she stood over her mother's coffin, trying to gauge the last looks of her with small leans. Once it sealed itself her heart clenched further though she did not repute, she stayed poised and silent. No infuriated outburst or cries aloud, not in front of them, not in front of strangers.

Vi and Gabby had come to pay their respects in the shadows, Gabby doubted the Kiramman would accept her condolences or even acknowledge her presence as Caitlyn seemed to wear a most vacant expression. Vi's face was disheartened as she looked to her friend, the one who had broken her out of Stillwater and saved her numerous times. Her sister did this but whoever that was was not her sister anymore.

Mai lingered in the background, she tried to stand as tall as her wound would allow her to, Caitlyn had argued she stay on bed rest but Mai was stubborn. She wanted to show her support though Mai had to look to the floor for most the ordeal only catching a glimpse of her coffin shutting whilst her daughter dropped petal violets in with her. Mai's expression was downcast, her eyes shining with pity and lips torn from being ripped apart by her teeth.

๐‚๐€๐ˆ๐“๐‹๐˜๐ returned with her father, he was no better than half the man before her, as his shaky hands took the tea she offered.

From where Mai watched she saw the girl wasn't as inconsolable whereas her father was wrecked with emotion. She was sat almost Ladylike with her back straight, hair neatly done, clothes unsoiled and legs crossed with her hands in her lap. She appeared sad as she stared at her father but that seemed to be all she could display.

"What is she still doing here?" Caitlyn's father sneered out with his face wracked with pain. His daughter sighed whilst gently patting his back before following after Mai as she walked further down the corridor.

The sky was filled with dread and the was air thick with grief making it nearly impossible to catch a calming breath. Mai leant against the cold crisp window as she waited for Caitlyn until she heard the soft clicks of her heels.

"It doesn't feel real," the Kiramman started and Mai instantly stood straight with a few feet separating them. "I can't believe she's not here."

Mai couldn't stop the pity from coaxing her face, it wasn't her silence that made Caitlyn's wooden composure fault but her presence alone. She was that of a safety rope for her to show her true emotions, she didn't have to uphold standards in front of Mai. Caitlyn tried her best to stay poised when Mai opened her arms slightly by her side her shoulders begin to shake and her legs give out. She threw herself into Mai's embrace and the girl caught her, wrapping her arms around her and holding Caitlyn up with the strength of her heart as she cried into her shoulder with her nails digging into her back.

As Caitlyn pulled away their faces remained close with their bodies still entangled and Mai gingerly reached a hand up to cup her cheek. Her thumb soothed her skin whilst she brought their foreheads together so they would touch, a small gesture that showed how deeply their connection was to one another other.

"I'm sorry," Mai mumbled in the quiet between them before Caitlyn pulled away though remained within a hands distance of one another. "Am I able to help?"

She rummaged for something behind her back, "you can." Mai looked down with her brows raisin at the sight of the enforcer badge.

"Caitlyn," Mai started whilst already shaking her head though she was quickly cut off. She stared down at the badge with ill discontent but Caitlyn gripped onto her hand.

"Just hear me out," the girl pleaded as she held the badge in her other hand in between their space, "she has to pay for what she's done, from killing my mother to." Caitlyn paused and tenderly reached a hand up to place her cool palm against Mia's scars on her neck, "to hurting you, more than once is something, I cannot allow her to get away with, justice has to be served."

Caitlyn's eyes were that of a wide dog's, her argument, disagreeable to Mai but not her pleading gaze though as she saw her reflection in the shiny metal another grimace took over her lips. Although, Caitlyn had known Mai long enough and she certainly knew what she was doing as she stroked the side of her neck gently.

"Justice does have to be served but-"

"What is more important, your hate for the Enforcers or your affections for me?" There was so little said but it had stunned Mai into a pregnant silence as Caitlyn's words carried weight by the pound.

Mai tilted her head to the side and peered down at her, "that's not fair."

The fire in Caitlyn seemed to ease off as she breathed a heavy breath before nodding, pulling her hand off Mai's neck and holding them now at her hips.

"I know," she muttered timidly, a sense of logic pulling at her mind. "But Vi has already agreed."

Mai snapped her eyes to Caitlyn's who wouldn't meet her, "what?" She whispered out more softly.

"She doesn't agree with what he sister did, she agrees she's too far gone so, even if you don't help me, Vi is." Mai tried to hear a lie but the words were full of truth, Vi honestly thought Powder was dead but from how she acted when Mai was shot all she saw was the little girl who she used to play hide and seek with.

"Gabby?"

Caitlyn gently shrugged her shoulders, "Vi worries for her, she doesn't want to put her in harms way, she doesn't even know."

Mai's brows stayed furrowed, her voice unusually small, "what are you going to do when you find her?"

Caitlyn's gaze hardened and she met Mai's warm, genus gaze that was riddled with skepticism, she decided she would also repent the truth. "Take her down."

๐“๐‡๐„ next morrow dawned upon them and Mai hadn't even managed to step a foot outside the Kiramman household before Caitlyn had caught her by the arm. Her eyes were wide as she caught sight of Mai's hand already preparing to hold on to her stomach, "where are you going?" There was a hidden panic beyond the waves of concern that flushed her cheeks and made her voice startled.

Mai sighed, "I wanted to attend the memorial," Caitlyn had already began to shake her head, "sweetheart, i have been under this roof for days I'll be fine." She tugged the door open but the weight of the heavy metal made her hiss slightly whilst holding her stomach. Mai sheepishly threw a look over her shoulder to see Caitlyn stood with her arms folded and expression unfazed.

The enforcer scanned over her form once more before the crease between her brows softened, "i trust that you have only good intentions, Mai." She eased off her sharper words and put her hand on the curve of her bicep, "but please stay, just for another day, at least."

Mai could hear the plea between the lines of her words, she truly wanted Mai to stay so she couldn't harm her felt further. Yet, she needed her to stay, or else it would just be her father, who could barely stand on his own two feet, and the voices inside Caitlyn's head as she aimlessly wandered about her home. She wanted security in her own home and even though Caitlyn had everything she only wanted Mai.

The zaunite looked down to her and gently exhaled, Caitlyn's gravely tone from when they spoke of Jinx had dissipated. Instead she sounded frail, terrified if Mai left her and she took pity on Caitlyn, "alright," Mai took one of her hands in her own, "I'll stay."

The topsider let out a breath of relief before their sorrowful gazes met and Caitlyn whispered out, "thank you." Her hand still rested on Mai's bicep where she stroked the muscle under her thumb, her eyes flickered down from cocoa eyes to her plump lips. Mai felt a deep breath brush against her lips and her own eyes searched for Caitlyn's but found her stare focused on her mouth.

Mai felt like a deer in headlights, she was stunned, unable to move from the leer Caitlyn had froze her with. She tensed and Caitlyn seemed to have felt it as she flickered her gaze up to Mai once more to find her peering down at her looking almost frightened, Caitlyn shook her head slightly before taking a step back, pulling her arms with her.

"The memorial is in a few hours, I should leave to prepare myself," Mai nodded seemingly dazed as she listened to Caitlyn. Their eyes met and a half smile was shared, "get some rest, Mai."

As she retreated further into the house Mai dragged a rough hand down her face that had her poking her tongue into her cheek. She hadn't seen Vi or Gabby or even breathed the air of the Undercity for nearly a week, the itch to see them made her look to the door handle. Though, she flexed her hand back till it rested by her thigh once more, Mai wouldn't go back on her word to Caitlyn. She stay.

As Caitlyn left Mai hadn't expected to grow wearisome as she lounged about Caitlyn's room, her imagination grew the better of her and the torment made her anxious.

She silently trailed down the stairs, her footsteps echoing and if she were outside she would have scaled the rooftops instead of the staircase. Mai learned that Link had been swept up by Gabby, the thought comforted but also nauseated her, she wanted to see them.

Although, Mai went to cross the drawing room and the library she stilled as she saw Caitlyn's father, he stood at the end of the corridor. Looking almost mummified as he stared across to her, she didn't meet his eye, she could feel the sneer.

Mai turned back round and kept herself looking forwards even as she heard him murmuring, "murderer."

The girl returned back to Caitlyn's room but escaped through her window and clamoured up to the rooftop. She closed her eyes whilst breathing a deep breath in at the feel of Piltover's breeze hitting her skin, replenishing it fitfully.

The sun reflected against her body and Mai watched as it slowly lowered itself though her eyes swept over the many buildings. She squinted as she caught sight of a house in the distance, it was the very apartment block that Powder had blew up. Mai would never forget that, it baffled her how it was only a few blocks down the road from Caitlyn's home.

She turned on her side to gaze to Piltover, her eyes softening as they landed on the darkened city, the difference between the two hitting Mai so plainly. The smoke from several factories or burning piles of rubbish, the ambient lighting that would brighten entirely when nightfall hit. It made her yearn to feel the roughening metal scraping against the bottom of her boot.

Mai traced her fingers against the grooves on the roof with a wash of calmness relaxing her, she always preferred the outdoors.

๐ƒ๐Ž๐Ž๐‘๐’ being swung open before banging shut made Mai look up from the bed, she felt the chill of the cold air nip at her unclothed shoulders as she wore a tank top and loose pants. She sat up in the bed and rose her brows as Caitlyn stormed in with her fingers barring into the rifle in her hands that she aggressively fiddled with before throwing herself into a desk chair.

Though, it wasn't her mannerisms that made Mai sit in her own worry but her attire, she had a few cuts with dried blood and the stench on her clothes was that of gunpowder and suite.

Mai silently rose from the bed and meandered her steps until she stood behind Caitlyn before placing a hand on her shoulder. She squeezed gently, Csitlyn seemed to stiffen under her touch. "Cait?"

"A memorial," Mai was taken aback as Caitlyn snarled gravely before standing a flurry, leaving the gun discarded on her desk. "What animals?"

Mai furrowed her brows, "what happened?"

She watched as Caitlyn's shoulders rose and fall as she breathed heavy breaths whilst her hands were pinched at her waist. "They ruined everything!" Mai took a weary step forwards, "she just dies and leaves this giant whole and I'm just supposed to fill it!"

Caitlyn's voice rose with every word she said and spun round to face Mai who now stood still as she carefully watched the girl.

"Like she was never there to begin with," Caitlyn looked to the floor with her jaw clenched and eyes stinging.

Mai gingerly reached her fingers out still they hooked under her chin, Caitlyn looked up clearly fatigued as a rouge tear fell. Mai swiped it away as she spoke lowly, "you never quite fill it," Caitlyn seemed to realise who she was talking to, what Mai had truly lost.

The enforcer leaned into her hand and physically relaxed before pulling away, a silence installed upon them and Caitlyn rounded Mai to sit on the edge of her bed.

Mai dragged her feet, shuffling to the edge of the bed before keeping a space between them, Caitlyn leaned to the side until her head lay on her shoulder. Mai didn't expect the contact but welcomed it, Caitlyn spoke up again, "there is a planned attack tomorrow."

The news was unsurprising to Mai but she still felt a twinge in her stomach that made her wince, "is Vi?" She felt a small nod against her shoulder and Mai tried to appear unfazed but the idea of Violet in enforcer armour made her lip upturn.

"We'll be okay, won't we?" Caitlyn asked timidly into the silence as she stared forwards.

Mai put an arm around her shoulders and said nothing whilst resting her head atop of Caitlyn's the silence enveloping them, relinquishing their defences when around one another.

๐“๐ˆ๐Œ๐„ could not sway Mai's decision as she crossed the bridge and walked through the streets of Zaun. Only a few days had passed since the explosion and more enforcers piled in the streets, some blockades but as she treaded further in the more rampant it became. There were several men and women, even young children all with blue hair and punk featuring clothes, oddly enough matching Jinx's.

She came across several posters all featuring the face of Jinx, she took one from the wall and stared at it in disgust. They made her appear terrifying, wide crazed eyes and a wild hairdo that screamed bloody murderer, there was a bounty below it. Mai scoffed and balled it in her fist before throwing it in the murky puddles.

They all seemed celebratory and courageously loud as they pranced about the streets but then she saw the artwork. It made Mai stop in her tracks as she looked at the murals painted along the walls that covered the entirety of the surface.

It was Jinx except she didn't appear savage as she was made out to be in the posters but she looked like a hero, a saviour. Her hand held a flag in her air whilst the colours of oranges, pinks and green appeared like clouds around her. Her face was serene and hair neatly done in a bright blue pigmentation.

"Run!" A manly shout came from her right and she turned to see several people running from a dark green smoke. She looked on in confusion as it enveloped the buildings and swallowed the streets up in a murky colour so deep she couldn't see it anymore.

Mai let the gas hit her though she regretted it almost instantly as a breathy cough came out of her, it felt as if it was strangling her. It scorched her throat and made her cough more, her eyes stung and she covered her mouth and nose with her elbow.

She used the shimmer still in her veins and managed to put a few feet of distance but the smoke was still coming. Mai began to run, potentially searching for some tightly zipped shelter but her eyes caught sight of something. Mai sighed in frustration, she looked back at the fog and the small girl who skimmed her knee.

She mumbled in annoyance before picking the girl up by the armpits and covering her face with her chest. Mai held onto her tightly before she used the shimmer to run up a stairwell, it was above ground level and the smoke couldn't reach that high. She set the child down though hovered her arms around her small form whilst she rubbed her eyes. "Where is your mother?"

The little girl only came up to Mai's waist and she had to tilt her head far back so she could look up at her. The whites of her eyes were red that matched both of her knees, big hazel eyes stared up at her with brightness and innocence. To answer her question she just shrugged and went to reach down so she could touch the smoke with her hand.

Mai grabbed her and snatched it back, "no." Her voice was stern though as she looked back down at the smoke itself her heart sank. A group of enforcers trudge through the thick smoke with gas masks and weapons at the ready, though it wasn't them that created a sick feeling in her stomach but rather who. Vi appeared unfazed as she walked through the polluted air, gauntlets in hand whilst Caitlyn appeared to lead the team that consisted of a large man and a ginger haired girl.

She was frozen in her stance as she watched them walk past her and further into the Undercity, the grip she had on the girls forearm gripping tighter. She made a noise of pain and Mai quickly dropped her before bringing her hand to her side, eyes apologetic though quickly hardening.

"Stay," she was assertive, as if talking to a soldier before she faced the smoke. The girl with the hat leaned over the edge as she watched Mai's figure disappear.

She peered through cracks in the disheveled roof of the arcade to catch a glimpse of the enforcers, if they found Jinx or not. She watched Caitlyn closely as she scanned the area with sharpness in her footing, gun raised in every direction she turned.

Mai whipped her body round to look at the alleyway to the building and felt her mouth dropping, Jinx stood heaving heavily as she tried to catch her breath. The smoke had slowly began to dissipate outside as she covered her mouth, eyes tearing up and a large package with a bow in her hands. The image didn't last long before she ran off and Mai instinctively took a step forwards though a gunshot rang from below her feet.

If Mai warned Jinx then she would not forgive her but if she allowed the events to play themselves out then Jinx could end up in prison or worse. Mai kissed her teeth harshly and looked below her feet before jumping down, the smoke only discoloured the air though her throat still became scratchy as she breathed it in.

The doors were forced open and Caitlyn's tense form seemed to deflate at the sight of Mai stood with her hands folded and a stern expression on her face. The fog that followed their forms made Mai's eyes water though she was compelled to stand as still as possible.

Vi shuffled the large gauntlets behind her back as if trying to hide them, the ginger enforcer stepped forward with her gun at hand. "I suggest you return back to your home, civilian." Her tone was accusing.

Mai arched a brow, face deadpan, though Caitlyn held her hand out and forced the girl a step back in her original position. A sigh left her lips, sounding almost mechanical behind the gas mask she wore, "give me a minute."

Vi lingered slightly behind but when Mai's disapproving gaze landed on her she looked down, incapable of meeting her eye and walked past her.

"You shouldn't be here," Caitlyn started as she walked down the steps whilst holding the gun in one hand by her side, the rifle pointing upwards.

"No," Mai snarked in a voice that reminded the girl of when they had first met, "you shouldn't be here, what was that? Was that you?" Caitlyn clenched her jaw, removing the mask as she did so and Mai shook her head disappointedly, "I can't believe you," she muttered spitefully whilst looking over her shoulder to catch a glimpse of Vi but she was nowhere to be seen. The gas had started nipping at Mia's airways once more and she began to cough, Caitlyn stepped forwards to place a hand on her back but Mai stepped away, hurt flashed in the enforcers eyes.

Caitlyn's outstretched hand clenched back into a fist, "look, it was just a precaution," she took a subtle step forwards before outstretching her fingers slightly so they brushed against Mai's who's eyes were still narrowed and stony. "It narrowed down Jinx's whereabouts," Mai had her lips pulled into a deep line and Caitlyn grabbed her hand entirely whilst staring up into Mai's eyes with wide Bambi ones, "please understand."

"It was wrong what you did," Mai had to turn her head so she could not look down at the enforcer but Caitlyn attacked at her weakness and dropped her rifle to the floor as she cupped the side of her scarred neck. The tips of her fingers rubbing soothingly up and down the scarred skin, Mai shut her eyes tightly with a low groan escaping her as she lulled her head back to look to Caitlyn, "but no one's died."ย

The defiance, the loyalty to the Undercity raged within her as she allowed Caitlyn a pass from her wrath. Though, she had to figure out where Jinx was or rather she had to prevent the inevitable, so she bit her tongue and appeased the enforcer.

Caitlyn smiled up at her before it slowly fell and Mai saw her eyes flickering down to her lips, her heart began to race. Mai's nerves in her stomach bubbled up and she cleared her throat softly before stepping back, she heard Caitlyn sigh softly. She knew of Mai's closed off nature, from the fact that it had took saving her life and possibly a week spent together before she had even allowed her to touch her. Caitlyn wouldn't pressure her but allow her to adjust to the sentimentality however, her mission was at stake and at this very moment nothing else seemed to matter.

"You should go home," the enforcer flicked her gun up with her foot. "I wouldn't want you getting hurt."

Mai still had her gaze to the floor and felt a frown pull at her lips, lying, though she said nothing of it. The zaunite glanced up at her and realised that she couldn't recognise her Caitlyn, the sweetheart who radiated charisma and warmth except it seemed to have almost dimmed.

Mai just nodded and Caitlyn was taken slightly aback at the compliance before nodding, gently brushing their shoulders together as she walked past her. Mai looked over her shoulder with narrowed eyes before she tsked, "home my ass."

Mai followed their trail closely whilst keeping a good distance between them though, as she followed them she saw Caitlyn's commanding persona envelop her surroundings. She used sharp juts of her head to navigate the people by her side who followed her effortlessly.

From first glance Mai would have imagined her to be some uptight enforcer but from her long, slender clothed legs and maroon blue hair she knew.

Mai pondered with a stern look as she watched them descend down the sewers and only followed once she was sure they were down there.

Mai neared the edge of the large sewer system she felt eyes on her back, she scanned all her surroundings and tightened her hands on the gun whilst the other held one of Vander's knives, Jinx had the other. She halted in her step and fully turned whilst she began to walk away from the system. She could hear the surrounding clutter of clumsy bodies but the slightest scraping of a heavy foot on pavement made Mai become alerted.

She followed the sound with teetering steps forwards until she rounded a corner to be met with the sight of nothing. Though, her suspicion only further increased, or perhaps her paranoia, Mai saw in the reflection of a puddle a figure stalking behind her.

With an intense quickness she spun behind her whilst flicking the knife towards the large shadow, sharp end pointing outwards.

The weapon he used to deflect the blade was unlike any she had seen, a long cerated edge to appear that of a wraith. The rocks with green tuned glowed hotly from what she could see as he held it in a tight grip before he struck.

Mai let out a grunt of surprise, he was faster than expected and as she averted him with slickness she saw armour underneath his robes. She fired wildly at him but the bullets seemed to reflect off of him, he used the glaives edge to smack the gun from her hands.

She began to sweat, she had never faced an advisory like this before, Mai ducked under a blow and weaved her way in between before uppercutting him. She rolled out from under his legs, grabbing her gun in the process whilst she breathed heavily with her fists raised, she'd managed to knock his hood back.

He turned round whilst holding his chin in one hand as he adjusted it though a glint of mirth shone in his eyes. "You fight well, little one."

His voice was deep and seemingly amused, this immensely frustrated Mai, she didn't want him to laugh she wanted him to bleed.

"Who are you?" She sneered at the tall man, he was muscled all over, some scars on his arms with chestnut brown hair, prominent features and dark eyes.

He said nothing but have a bemused expression, the runes grew more intense in colour before Mai shot at him again. He seemed to dodge or anticipate every bullet or punch she threw and Mai gaped as he punched her squared in the ribs, where her wound was.

She hardened her stare, she didn't want him to know he brought her such pain. Mai felt as if she'd been hit by a train and doubled over whilst clutching her stomach, catching her breath as she did so.

She saw his feet by her face as he towered over her, she gritted her teeth, hand balling into a fist before she lunged at him. He grabbed her wrist and threw her to the wall making her crash onto the floor, Mai groaned in pain but silenced herself as she felt cold metal pressing against her neck.

He now kneeled down to her hight and she snarled to him but his attention was on her arm, specifically her wrist. He roughly grabbed it and as Mai went to pull away he pressed the blade further into her jugular, forcing her head into the bricks.

Her sleeve was pulled up and the grip he had on her seemed to tighten entirely whilst the metal slowly eased off.

"Release me!" She barked to him as he hovered the blade over her neck.

"On the contrary, you are not going anywhere." He dragged her by the arm and Mai punched and kicked at his legs before as she was being dragged her eyes locked on the knife. She allowed him to pull her along before she reached down to pick up the knife and sliced at the back of his shins.

He hissed in pain, releasing her wrist and swung his weapon to her which she ducked under before slicing across his belly that was stopped by the armour. He went to advance once more before loud shots rang out, Mai looked behind her and felt relief hitting her.

Caitlyn cocked her gun back before relentlessly firing upon the large man, the bullets only made him cover his face. It was clear he could have fought them off but as he caught sight of Caitlyn's armour he huffed and turned on his heel.

Mai sighed a breath of exhaustion, "Caitlyn-"

"I thought I told you to go back home," her gaze was as cold as her voice. Her state alarmed Mai the most, her commanders hat had been removed from her head completely, hair messy and untamed. Cuts and dirt on her lip and cheeks whilst her uniform was scruffy, her shoulders were pinched back and eyes narrowed, she looked emotionless.

"Caitlyn," Mai started slowly, "what happened? Where's Vi?" She took note of the amount of members Caitlyn had left with only to return with herself.

The enforcer's face hardened all the more, "she chose her side," she gruffly added. She took a step forwards looking up at Mai with conviction to which she was returned with a confused look, "what do you choose?"

Mai looked to the floor before flickering her gaze to meet the icy stare, "what did you do?" The worst thoughts tore at her insides and that question seemed to solidify Caitlyn's mind. Mai didn't trust her so, Caitlyn couldn't trust Mai, she couldn't believe that her loyalty would be to her. With that Caitlyn went to turn around but Mai boldly reached out to gently grasp at her hand that held her rifle, "Cait-"

She had hit her, the woman who swore she would never, who promised that Mai was always safe in her arms had hurt her. The realisation of what Caitlyn had done to her struck her harder than the force of the blow she sustained moments before. Mai fell to her knees, clutching her stomach whilst her breaths quickened, her eyes teared up and small whimpers left her mouth.

Caitlyn stared down at her, her grip on the gun tightening before she turned. Her head subconsciously shaking as she heard Mai's cries echo through the empty street.

Mai looked up through her lashes, eyes red and teeth barring as she said the words, "I hate you."

Caitlyn halted in her steps entirely and her eyes widened, she turned back round but found the space to be empty and lowered her gaze to the ground. The monotone look engrossed her features once more before she statically walked back to the tower.

Mai's chest heaved with every aggravated breath she took, her eyes squinting as bled tears down her cheeks. She backed herself against the wall to an alley way and slid her back down against it, she was distraught her breaths so shallow she started to hyperventilate. Caitlyn had betrayed her, the singular time she let someone in and she broke her heart.

She no longer clutched her stomach but held both her hands over her heart, it hurts, the acknowledgment that there was no longer anyone she could confide in pained her more than anything. Mai rocked herself back and forth with her cries almost silent as she endured the pain. She let out small outbursting shouts as she did so though it was as if a hand was around her throat, silencing her voice box and nearly her ability to breathe.

It was the most distraught piece of emotion that Mai had ever showed before and it was because of her.

Mai was not aware of pink hues staring across to her from the darkness, a singular tear slipping down their cheek.

Mai didn't know how long she spent down that dirt filled alley but the sky was orange and she had ran out of tears to cry. Her eyes bloodshot and cheeks stained with the tracks in which the water fell, the look in her eyes vacuous. She would never forget the anguish Caitlyn inflicted upon her, it felt as if she had been stabbed through the heart except as the knife had been pulled from her chest it took a piece of the organ with it.
