I looked at myself in the mirror, flattening out my suit. I need to look my best for her. "Oh my god, my boy looks so handsome" My mom gushed.

"Mommmm!" I said while playfully rolling my eyes. She fully walked into my room, fixing my bow tie.

"D-do you think she will like it?" I asked. She looked up into my eyes and gave me a smile.

I wanted everything to be perfect! Our first dance, our first ki-, well maybe that one won't happen but I hope.

"Sweetie, Jordan will love it! You look adorable. Now cmon, lets start heading to the car okay?" She reassured me. I nodded at her words.

I'm not allowed to drive for many reasons, so my parents or Grayson drives me where I need to go.

There we were, in front of the school. I saw all the teens with their friends and prom dates walk in all together and I turned to my mom.

"I'm s-scared." I worriedly said. She gave me pity eyes, holding onto my cheek.

"Honey, don't be. You are going to have so much fun with all your friends and your prom date." She said. I felt guilty. I felt guilty that I had to lie to her and say I had friends, and I was going to prom with Jordan so she doesn't have to worry.

My mother is a strong woman. I couldn't make her sad because her son wasn't like everyone else. And, she looked so proud of me, I couldn't tell her the truth.

I smiled at her as I kissed her on the cheek. "I Love you mom, see you later." I shouted through the car door before closing it.

"And remember, you are going to have a blast!" She waved bye to me, driving off.

I took a deep breathe, looking down at the flowers and chocolate I picked out for her. I walked into the gymnasium, seeing everyone already dancing.

But the person that really catches my eye is her. Jordan. I almost dropped the flowers and chocolates just staring at her smile. I started to smile just thinking about the thought of talking to her. I slowly walked over to her.

"U-uh h-hi Jordan." I whispered. She turned to me and looked down at the things I was holding for her.

"I g-got you these." I said with a smile on my face. Her friends behind her started to laugh. She grabbed them and quickly put it on a table. She looked back at her friends. "Uhm, guys I'll be right back." She told them.

She started to pull me out to the hallway.
"W-where are we going?" I smiled, was she going to kiss me? Was this the moment? I hope my breathe smells good. This was going to be my first kiss.

"Jordan, you look b-beautiful. The most prettiest girl out of everyone h-here." I admitted. She shook her head with a little 'thank you' before she started to speak clearly.

"Ethan, I have a prom date already." She said. I looked at her dumbfounded, I was so stupid to not think that maybe she did get asked already.

"O-oh, thats totally f-fine! I mean, I can at least have a dance with y-you..?" I said, fiddling with my fingers.

"Why don't you dance with
someone else?" She whispered.

"B-but I only want to dance with you?" I stuttered. She knew she was hurting me with each word she said.

"I'm sorry Ethan, but no." She said before walking right into the gym.

I was left there, looking around to make sure no one was around to see me cry. My eyes became teary as I walked into the bathroom.

I looked up into the mirror, seeing this boy. This lonely boy who was not capable of doing the things his twin brother could. Wanting to be like all the jocks who could talk to girls. The ones who didn't have depression and social anxiety and other messed up things.

He wished.

And I realized — that hopeless boy was me.

"Ethan?" I heard Grayson say.

"Ethan!" He said again. And my eyes opened to him shaking me.

"W-what happened?" I said looking at my surroundings.

"I think you had a nightmare, you were crying in your sleep!" He said.

"Grayson, I think I'm ready to go to school with you."
