IN THE VERY EARLY morning, Tyler, Elena, Bonnie, Ethan and Violet were in one of the many classrooms, setting up mousetraps for whoever walked in first in the morning.

The dark haired girl felt drained from the sleeping gap and was just about to set the last trap when Matt suddenly stepped inside the room.

All the mousetraps immediately snapped and Caroline let out a loud sighed, "Oh! Come on! Seriously! Do you know how long it took for us to set all this up!?"

They all gave Matt an annoyed look. "Forgot about senior prank night, huh?", Tyler questioned the blond boy with raised eyebrows.

Matt seemed kind of grumpy when he shrugged with his shoulders, "Clearly."

"How could you forget!? We've only been waiting for this since like freshman year!", Caroline exclaimed excited, while she frowned at him.

Elena nodded her head at the one boy, "Yeah, Matt. If I'm doing this, you're doing this." Matt didn't seem to comprehend this all, "I'm kind of surprised any of you are doing this."

"Caroline's making us", Bonnie answered him, seeming bored while she leaned on one of the chairs.

Caroline sighed deeply, "We're about to be seniors. These are the memories that stay with us forever, and if we don't-"

"- If we don't create these memories now, then what's the point of it all?", Elena finished the girl's sentence for her, with a big smile on her face.

"Go ahead and make fun, I don't care", the blond stated confidently before Ethan interrupted them chuckling. "You're all lame, Ty and I got two more classrooms to prank!"

He quickly placed a kiss onto Violet's lips and then made a run for the next classroom, followed closely by Tyler.

Elena immediately followed after them and Violet frowned at her in confusion, "Hey! Where are you going?"

The brunette stopped and looked at them, before she started smirking, "To superglue Alaric's desk shut."

Caroline smiled at her and Elena smiled back, "I'm making memories." The brunette then left the room and Caroline still smiled from ear to ear, "I love you!"

Violet shook her head to herself before she grabbed two rolls of toilet paper and nodded at Bonnie and Matt, "Let's go, guys! We have a swimming hall to vandalize."

It was completely silent inside the large swimming hall, almost scary. Violet could smell the chlorine and gazed at the blue water while she threw the toilet paper over the pool.

"This is fun, right?", the dark skinned girl questioned Matt and Violet, a smile plastered on her face.

"You sound like Caroline", Matt stated while he let out a quiet sight. His eyes were focused on the pool.

"Come on, I'm embracing her philosophy! You should be more into this", Bonnie told him while she pointed at the toilet paper.

Matt met her gaze nodding, "I know. Where's Jeremy tonight?"

Bonnie shrugged at them while Violet threw another roll of toilet paper. "I haven't talked to him all day. We're having- um- he, uh, he told me about seeing Vicki."

Violet forwned immediately at the dark skinned girl, "What? Jeremy is seeing Vicki!?"

Bonie nodded at her, "Yeah probably one of the consequences of bringing him back to life." Matt sighed relived, "Oh God! I'm glad that you know!"

"I'm sorry. Is it weird talking about your sister like this?", Bonnie questioned him with a forwn on her face.

Violet felt her stomach dropp immediately when she thought about what had happened to Vicki a year ago.

"No, I- I just kind of want to see her myself, you know? I mean, I never got to say good-bye to her", Matt answered the witch, while he and Violet exchanged a quick glance.

Bonnie and Violet nodded at him understanding before he exhaled deeply, "Do you realize that just last summer, you, Violet
and I were lifeguards at the pool?"

Violet let out a chuckle, Matt smiled at her before his face went back to normal. "And the only two problems I had in my life were that Elena was breaking up with me and I sucked at CPR."

"Everything was so different then", Bonnie stated calmly, thinking back to the time, while she gazed up at Matt.

Matt sighed loudly, "Yeah. Now Elena's dating a Vampire, you're a witch, my sister's a ghost and I'm- I'm just a guy who's wondering how life got so screwed up."

When Violet looked into his eyes, she could see the pain he hid inside himself. "It's crazy, Matt. I- I can't imagine what it must be like for you."

The boy looked down on them with a sad face expression, "It just, uh, kind of explaines why I'm not that into senior prank night."

Violet felt guilty, she hadn't checked up on Matt all summer, of course the two had met with their friends, but she hadn't asked him how he was.

The blond boy grabbed the box they'd brought with them up and nodded at the two girls. "I'll go grab a couple more rolls. Then we hit the gym."

He quickly left the room, leaving Bonnie and Violet behind.

Violet immediately turned to face Bonnie, a sad look on her face. "God, I feel so bad." Bonnie gave her a look, "You're not responsible for Vickie's death or Matt's grieve."

The two dark haired girl's lokekd at each other before Matt joined them again.

They all remained silent while they walked towards the gym. Opening the door Violet let Bonnie and Matt inside before she followed.

The dark haired girl had just stepped through when she heard Elena's voice. "Bonnie, get out of here!"

Klaus was immediately behind them, staring down Bonnie, "Ah, I was wondering when you'd show up. Now we can get started."

He looked last Bonnie, at Dana, who was a girl from their year, "Ah, Dana, why don't you relax? You and Chad sit tight."

His gaze wandered back towards Bonnie, "I assume you're the reason Elena's still walking around alive?"

Bonnie didn't broke the eye contact with the original Hybrid, "That's right. If you want to blame someone, blame me."

Klaus made an annoyed face at Bonnie, "Oh, there's no need for blame, love. Just your witchy interference seems to have caused some undesirable side effects. And since you caused the problem, I'm going to have you find the fix."

In that moment the gym doors opened once more, revealing a blond girl, Tyler and Ethan. "Get off of me!"

"Hush now!", the blond girl silenced the two boy, while dragging them towards Klaus.

"I'd like you all to meet my sister Rebekah. Word of warning- she can be quiet mean", the Hybrid stated while he pointed at the blond girl besides him.

Rebekah narrowed her eyes at her brother, "Don't be an ass." She then pushed Tyler towards Klaus while Ethan remained in her grip.

"Leave him alone!", Elena exclaimed angry while she stood a few steps away from them.

Rebekah now pushed Ethan towards Klaus and the man grabbed both of the boy by their neck and took a few steps.

They all turned and followed him with their eyes while he started talking again, "I'm gonna make this very simple! Everytime I attempted to turn a werewolf into a vampire Hybrid, they die during the transition. It's quite horrible, actually."

Klaus bit into his wrist and made the two boy drink his blood. Violet balled her hands into fist while she had to watch Ethan, his eyes full of fear.

"I need you to find a way to save my hybrids, Bonnie. And for Tyler's and Ethan's sake- you better hurry." The man grabbed them by their necks once more and snapped them like a twig.

The two boys immediately went limp and fell to the ground, dead.

Violet and the other's gasped in shock, while she watched Tyler and her boyfriend fall to the ground.

After Klaus and Rebekah sat down on the benches a bit away from them, watching what they would do.

Violet quickly rushed towards the dead boy, and immediately placed Ethan's head on her lap, while Matt looked at his childhood best friends, "He killed them!"

"They're not dead. Klaus's blood will turn them into Vampires", Elena stated while she stood over Tyler.

"And if Bonnie's successful, he'll live through his transition. Go on, then. Go fetch your grimoires and enchantments and what-not. I'll hold on to Elena- for save-keeping", Klaus stated simply before he approached them and grabbed Elena by her arm harshly.

The brunnette shot him a death glare and Klaus smirked at her before she nodded at her three friends in approval.

Violet placed a soft kiss onto Ethan's forhead before she got onto her feet. After that Bonnie, Matt and Violet didn't waste any time.

"What are you gonna do?", Matt questioned Bonnie immediately, while they made their way down the school corridor.

Bonnie seemed helpless while she hurried her way down the corridor, "I have no Idea! The curse he's talking about is a thousand years old. My grimoires don't go back that far."

"Can't you ask those dead witches that helped you before?", Matt questioned her with panic in his eyes.

"I don't have contact with them anymore. They cut me off when I brought Jeremy back to life", Bonnie answered him calmly, but then she suddenly stopped walking.

"That's it! I can't contact the dead. Jeremy can", she stated and Violet's eyes immediately grew wide in realization.

Bonnie immediately started to pull out her phone and called Jeremy. But the boy didn't answer, however often she tried.

The two girs stood now outside the gym while Matt had excused himself to go get something from his locker.

Bonnie tried one last time to call Jeremy and Violet was desperate, so she tried to call Damon. Despite the fact that she was still pissed about the other night, when Damon had snapped Alarics neck, they needed him.

The dark haired girl stood outside on the parking lot, biting her lower lip nervously.

"This is Damon's voice male, leave a message after the ring, or not, I really don't care", Damon's voice came through the speaker, and Violet waited for the ring.

"Damon, I can't believe I'm saying this, but we need you. I'm in school for prank night, but Klaus is here and he has Elena." The tears started rolling down her cheek as she thought about Tyler and Ethan's bodies, laying on the floor.

"He gave Tyler and Ethan his blood and he killed them. They're transitioning-If Bonnie doesn't find a spell they are dead." She was sobbing loudly.

The girl then quickly hung up after that and joined Bonnie, who as now speaking with Matt on the phone.

"I called him 20 times!", the dark skinned girl exclaimed helplessly while she walked up and down nervously.

"Okay, we'll meet you by your truck", Bonnie stated while Violet nodded at her. The two girls' remained by Matt's truck, waiting for the boy to come back when Bonnie's phone rung.

The girl immediately answered, turning on the loud speaker, "What is taking so long?"

"This is gonna sound crazy, but I think Vicki's trying to reach out to me", Matt answered them immediately, sounding out of breath.

Violet frowned at Bonnie, "What?"

"I think she can help us save Tyler", the blond boy stated convinced. "No, Jeremy can help us save Tyler."

"We can't find Jeremy. We need to try something else. I have an idea but I'm going to need yours and Violet's help. Meet me at the pool", Matt stated quickly and Bonnie frowned deeply. "I don't understand."

Matt's voice could be heard loud and clear, "Jeremy can see ghost because you brought him back from the dead. I need you to do that for me."

Violet immediately frowned and her eyes widened, "What!? No, Matt. That's crazy!"

The boy assured her, "This is gonna work, trust me."

"No, Matt, I can't do that kind off magic anymore", Bonnie told him, desperately trying to convince him of not doing what he was planning to do.

For a moment there was silence between them, "You don't need magic. You just have to be better than I was at CPR."

After that Matt hung up, the two girl exchanged a look before they immediately made a run for it.

Violet was infront of Bonnie, storming down the corridors towards the pool. The girl was breathing uncontrollably while she hurried through the doors, immediately spotting Matt on the ground of the pool.

Throwing their phones to the side the two jumped into the pool. Diving for Matt, Violet felt like her heart was going to explode, but the girl ignore the feeling.

Freeing the boy from his weight belt the two immediately brought him to the surface and pushed him out onto the dry ground.

Violet was out if the water first, so she immediately started CPR on Matt. The girl let out a grunt as she pressed down on her friends rip cage.

After giving him mouth to mouth she proceeded to do CPR, Bonnie kneeled down beside them, her eyes watering up. "Matt, please! Don't do this to me!"

Violet started crying while she proceeded to do CPR, the girl had nearly lost hope when Matt suddenly started coughing and sat up, spitting out water.

"It's okay! You're okay!" The boy looked at the girl besides him, breathing heavily before she embraced him into a hug. "Don't ever do this to me again, Matt."

The dark haired girl let go of her friend and helped him get onto his feet before they quickly made their way outside.

"As soon as you're feeling better, I'm gonna kill you", Bonnie shot Matt a sorrowful look as soon as they entered the hall way.

Matt ignored her statement before he suddenly stepped infront of the two girls, "It worked. I saw her, I saw Vickie."

Violet was shocked that it had really worked, "You did?"

The blond boy nodded his head, "She said she had a message for you, Bonnie." Bonnie immediately frowned, "For me?"

"From the witch that put the hybrid curse on Klaus. She said that Elena shouldn't have survived Klaus' ritual. The hybrids can't transition because Elena's still alive."

Violet let out a breath she didn't know she was holding while she folded her hands over her head. She felt like she was going to be sick, "Oh God. Ethan and Tyler-"

"They're going to die, aren't they?", Matt questioned the two girls with a troubled face expression.

Violet jumped slightly when Klaus appeared by the door, looking at them with a dark glare. "I wouldn't be too sure about that. Given the choice, doppelganger or a hybrid, I go hybrid every time."

Klaus then suddenly vanished as soon as he had appeared, leaving the three teenagers behind in the hallway.

Violet didn't waste anytime after that and quickly dashed down the hallway. After a couple of minutes she had reached the cafeteria and when she dashed around the corner she collided with Caroline.

The blond stummbled back before she immediately grabbed Violet by her arm, "Thank God, I found you!"

"Caroline, is he okay? Please tell me he's okay", she immediately begged her friend desperately. Caroline immediately nodded her head at her, "He's okay. They both transitioned."

Violet felt her heart feeling lighter than before but then she suddenly realized what that must mean for Elena, "But Elena she-"

"The witch lied- Elena, well Elena's blood is actually the key to create Hybrids", Caroline explained to her while she lead her through the corridors'.

She then opened a door and when Violent spotted Ethan, sitting on one of the tables, she immediately rushed inside and fell into his arms.

The girl couldn't hold herself back and immediately started crying while she pressed the boy desperately against her body. "I thought I lost you."

She felt the familiar warmth of his body against her's while she was sobbing heavily. Ethan's hand was rubbing over her back when she heard his voice, "It's okay - I'm here. I'm not going anywhere, V."

It took Violet a couple of moments to calm herself down, but after that she was finally ready to release Ethan from her hug. For someone who had been dead a couple of minutes ago, he seemed pretty okay to her.

The girl slowly placed her hand into his before she pulled him along and out onto the corridor, "Let's get out of here, okay?"

Ethan nodded silently while he followed after the girl and when they had reached the swimming hall, where she left Bonnie behind she saw them.

Bonnie was standing besides him and when the two joined them, Bonnie immediately hugged Ethan, "Oh, thank God!"

She let go of him and stepped backwards before her eyes widened slightly, "But that means-"

Ethan gave her a small smile, "Elena's okay- it's only a bit of her blood he needed for the transformation."

Bonnie sigehd deeply, the tension falling away before she glanced over at Matt, "You ready? I could still really use a ride over to Jeremy's."

Matt was still sitting on one of the benches. "Yeah just a second."

Bonnie and Violet exchanged a look before Violet nodded into the direction of Matt.

Bonnie gave her one last look before she slowly made her way over to him, "Listen to me. I know you want to help, and I know you miss your sister
But what you did was reckless and stupid-"

The two sat besides each other when Matt interrupted her, "I know. Bonnie. I know. But it worked. It was worth it."

"You don't want to be a part of all this, Matt. You are the only one of us who actually get to live your life like a normal person, no matter how lost you feel. Don't forget that", the dark skinned girl eyed Matt with a sad and small smile on her face.

Matt's eyes started to tear up slightly, "I get it, Bonnie. I'll be out in a minute, okay?"

He broke their eye contact before he continued, "Vickie's here. Watching me, and I just, uh, I just need a minute to say good-bye, okay?"

The girl nodded her head before her and Violet made their way outside towards the parking lot.

After a couple of minutes Matt came out of the school, dropping first Bonnie, Ethan and then Violet off by their home.

Violet gave Matt one last hug before she quickly jumped out of the car, hurrying inside her house.

The girl took a turn left, entering the living room, where her brother was sitting on the couch, watching TV.

"How was prank night?", Adrian questioned her, an exciting expression on his face while he met her gaze.

Violet put her school bag on the empty chair by the table while she sighed exhausted, "Well, -it was great. Until Klaus appeared in gym class."

Adrian's smile immediately dropped when he heard the name, turning in his sitting position to face her completely. "What?"

"He found out that Elena is still alive and wanted Bonnie to find a spell that helps him create hybrids", Violet informed her little brother, who was in complete shock. "Is she okay?"

Violet nodded her head,"Yeah, she's okay - For now."

The dark haired girl scratched her neck while she let out another exhausted sighed, "I think I'll go to bed. I tell you all the details in the morning, okay?- Night, hermanito."

Adrian gave her a little nodd, "Night." Violet gave him a small smile before she went upstairs.

She quickly shrugged off her jacked, before she entered her dark room.

After turning on the light, her heart nearly stopped for a moment, when she spotted Damon, sitting on the edge of her bed.

The girl jumped in surprise, but Damon didn't seem to care. Instead he immediately got onto his feet, his eyes scanning over her entired body while he took a couple of steps towards her.

The two stared into each other's eyes before Damon quickly pulled her into a hug. His right hand immediately went to her hip while his left wandered to the back of her head.

Violet wanted to pull herself together but as soon as she felt his warmth surround her, the tears rolled down her cheeks.

She didn't hug him back, but she needed that kind of comfort right now.

After a small moment she took a step back, freeing herself from his grip, whipping her tears away she looked up into his eyes, "Where were you, Damon?"

His eyes showed the regret he was feeling. Eyeing her with his blue eyes, he said, "I shouldn't have left."

The dark haired girl looked down onto the floor a couple of her hair strands falling into her face.

Damon carefully pushed them behind her ear, making her look up at him while he cupped her face, "I promise you- I will never leave you again."

Violet gazed up into his eyes, feeling like she could trust the promise he was making.
