Eva's POV...

Currently, I was sitting in the car going back. I was in deep thought and my so-called mother was happy as hell.
I didn't utter a single word after Mr knight's confession.

I don't know how to react. I mean how will you react when you will come to know you are going to be married and will be a mother of an almost 3-year-old child!

I didn't hate the kid it's just I am nervous as hell You can't blame me I have never been with children.

I wanted to back off from this marriage but I can't. My mother already had said yes from my side. And if I say no she will taunt me by saying she did many things for me, she gave me food, shelter which I never deserved, and all. And I don't want to experience the horrible incident again.

I just want to go to my room and cry my heart out. I don't want to get married but I have to!

Mr. Knight told me that he will let me
Achieve my dream and will support me but one of my dreams is to be loved too. I want a family who will love me and a husband who will cherish me.
But I don't know if I will get it or not!

I took a deep breath as we came to a halt. I immediately came out and made my way toward my room but my mother grabbed my arms and stopped me.

"Eva Isabella will be here in a few hours to meet you" she informed me.

ISABELLA is Mr. Knight's daughter's name.

I nodded at her not wanting to talk more. I just went inside my room and buried my face in the pillow to cry.

I wasn't able to digest the fact about my marriage and here his daughter is coming to meet me.

I don't know for how long I cried. But when I was tired I slipped into my sleep.

I woke up to a loud thud voice.
At first, I was scared about who would be. but then I remember ... it's my mother, she always knocks on my door like this.

I sat up and went to open it. As I open it. She said
"Be ready Isabella is here!!"

Emergency was clear in the voice as to why wouldn't. She was Knight's princess.

I nodded at my mother and went to the bathroom. I splashed water on my face.
I don't know how the child was.

Was She a brat??

Or a disciplined girl!!

She was Knight's princess so most probably she will be a brat!!

I went out to see my mother with a woman I don't know and I could see something or someone was hiding behind the woman's leg.

"Miss Williams I am Lily Isabella's caretaker."

She greeted me and informed me.
She was around her forties. She seems a gentlewoman. I smile a bit at her. She gently pulled the small girl wrapped in a red frock.

Can she look cuter?

Oh my god!

She was so cute.

The small girl timidly looked up at me and then again clutched Lily's dress.

Is she scared??

"Hey... baby come here"

I can't control myself. She was scared of the new surroundings and I didn't want the angel to be scared.

"Wanna this"

I asked her showing her my shiny pins. She again looked up and then smiled a bit. God!! Her smile. My heart skipped a beat.

I motioned her to come near me and she looked up at Lily probably to ask permission.

Awww...

Lili nodded her head and then she came near me and took them from my hand. She started to play with them.

I smile seeing her but then I hear my mom's voice.

"Eva spent some time with her"

she said and warned me with her eyes.

"Come Lily let's have s cup of tea"

Lily smiled at my mother and then turned her heel and went back. I returned my gaze to the princess who was playing with my pins and more.

Aww... she isn't any brat or anything she is an angel. How wrong was I about her!!

I approached her with a smile that came automatically.

"Hey you like it "

I asked her with a smile and she nodded.

Why Isn't She talking??

I played her with to make her comfortable with me and eventually, I think she became. I wanted her to take so I again asked a question but I didn't want to scare her so I started saying something while playing with her.
She laughed at my act and then again started playing.

When she laughed I became sure she was quite comfortable and I asked something. I asked the simplest questions to her.

"Baby, what's your name?"

I ask her settling her on my lap. I know her name but I want her to introduce herself.

"Isabella"

she said in her baby voice and looked up with questions-filled eyes.

"What happened?"

I asked her as she stopped playing suddenly and looked down. She didn't say anything to them I again ask.

"You want to ask something?"

I asked her lifting her face to me. She nodded her head yes.

"Go ahead"

I told her with an assuring smile. Encouraging her to go ahead. She was silent for a few seconds but then she asked something I also don't know.

"Are you my mommy?"

I was a whisper but I heard it. I don't know how to answer her.

Am I??

I gulped at her question. I couldn't stay silent she was looking at me with her hopeful green eyes.

What do I do??

She was looking at me with her eyes continuously and I don't know what to do. Then I decided to ask her what she wanted!

My marriage with Mr knight was fixed as my mother wasn't looking like she would back off so as Mr knight!

"Can I ask you something?"

She seemed disappointed but then nodded.

"Do you want me to be your mommy?"

I asked her. And this time I was hopeful.
I already love her.

She looked like she was thinking hard which made me feel sad but then she said something that lifted my mood.

"Yes"

she chirped and gave me her toothy smile. She threw her hand around my neck and hugged me. She started singing a song in her baby voice. Then she said something which made my heart skip a heat.

"You are my mommy"
