OVERALL — a nice, chill elder tom who is a great storyteller. he keeps kits entertained with his humor and creativity, but often forgets what he's saying easily. he spends the time lazing around, offering to tell stories to other cats around him. he is weak-willed and easily influenced, but with his experience and age he isn't gullible. he likes gossiping and might get accidentally expose on of his clan's secrets to the other elders in the gathering, if they remember about or some other cats happens to eavesdrop. he's really calm, so whenever there's chaos or trouble in the clan he just sits cluelessly and grooms himself as if nothing's happening.

KITHOOD — he was born in a snowy leaf-bare, outside of camp with his weak siblings and a sick mother. two of his littermates didn't survive the night, and later on another caught kittencough and passed as well. his mother fell into a state of depression and refused to eat, so caterpillarkit was raised by another queen, who grumbled about raising him and his kits because her own were already made apprentices. caterpillarkit and his two other brothers, canarykit and cabbagekit, often got into trouble. sometimes his father visits but it wasn't really often.
APPRENTICESHIP — he was apprenticed to a cat called brokenwatcher, and the two had difficulty training each other. his mentor was an inexperienced young warrior and caterpillarpaw had no interest in becoming a warrior. he liked being calm and at peace, not going out hunting for blood. eventually the leader sorted them out and decided caterpillarkit would be better off being a medicine cat. he was then mentored to scorchflare, a small, senior flame-colored tom who enjoyed his company. 
WARRIORHOOD — he was made into a full medicine cat, and liked going to half-moon meetings and meeting with the other clans' medicine cats. his mother then died, believing that she took her own life. his father was heartbroken, and he and his brothers did his best to comfort him but he eventually died of a broken heart. the clan mourned two honorable warrior's deaths. he didn't know what to do, he was extremely saddened by both his parent's death until scorchflare took him aside and talked about death and starclan. he'd still have a chance to meet them at the moonstone anyway.

  scorchflare passed of old age and he was the only medicine cat, until a young windclan apprenticed joined shadowclan. she wanted to become the medicine cat, which some members of the clan opposed to but caterpillarjump accepted her anyway. they often spent time working together, since he discovered about her horrible memory, he'd always find ways to make her remember. thanks to his hard work, eiderpaw managed quite well, and was slowly earning the respect of her clanmates.

  after several long seasons of treating and curing cats, he eventually retired into the elder's den. now he hangs out with the other elders, and often tell stories to his clanmates.
