after the passing of his late girlfriend, maeve donovan, spencer reid never really went looking for love again. he never really expected anyone in his life to stay after noticing almost everyone important in his life leaves. he didn't think it was worth it getting attached to someone who would end up leaving anyways.

which is why when supervisory special agent olivia griffins gets transferred to the behavioral analysis unit of the FBI from the counterintelligence division, spencer tries everything he can to not let himself get close to her unlike all his other coworkers.

however, his plan eventually backfires when he finds himself unexpectedly feeling adoration for the young agent.
