Stopping by the lodge floor, Evelyn walked past the quiet room, but as she kept closing the kitchen, the sounds of someone cooking and the sweet heavenly smell reached her.

Her steps aren't faint, but to focus on the tasks in her hands, Pepper didn't realize that she was no longer alone in the room, making her jump upon turning to pour another batch of pancake in the pan and finally noticing the girl.

"Good morning." Evelyn softly greeted, corner of her lip tugging upward as she held her laugh at the older woman jumpiness.

"Jesus Christ." She put down the pan that she didn't know she held tight as if a defence from an intruder. "Good morning, but please—don't do that again." She let out shaky breaths with her left pam pressing her thundering heart.

"Sorry. Didn't notice that didn't hear me coming." Eve state truthfully.

"No worries—Nat and Clint are the worse. You hardly hear them at all. Surprise the living hell of me." She shakes her head playfully with eyes like saucers before offering a plate with stacks of pancake. "Pancakes?"

"Are they belong to anyone?"

"I make enough for everyone. You can have those." Pepper reassured the brunette, already continuing cooking.

Humming in response. Evelyn pours some honey and decorates them with blueberries and chocolate chips.

"Is he awake?"

Pepper raises her eyebrows, silently asking the girl to elaborate further before eyes fall on the tray in her hands. Finally, the expression softens but with a hint of amusement. "He is still in his room. He was still asleep when I woke up. Had a rough night."

The young brunette nods with a smile before walking away, leaving the older woman to stare silently until her lover's daughter disappears.

Not long after that, Steve arrived from his usual morning jogs, followed by the twins, Vision, Clint and Natasha, who had just finished their training. Bruce came the last, but unlike others, his hair disarray from waking up from his short nap after spending all night in the lab.

"We saw Eve earlier. Was she holding Loki's breakfast?" Steve asked, walking straight to the fridge and taking out the orange juice.

"I swear if that moose thinks that he still a prince here—Hey!" Clint mutters while pouring his coffee before Natasha steals it away and offers it to Bruce.

The pioneer in gamma radiation gives her a sheepish thank and flashes an innocent look at the archer, who is already begrudgingly as he mutters 'the audacity of some people' and pours into another mug ends up taken once more by the same person.

"Oh, come on!"

"That smells heaven!" Pietro cheers, speeding off by his sister and starts filling his plate.

"Manners Pietro."

"Bwat?" The older Maximoff asks, mouth full of food.

Wanda grimaced, smacking her brother in the shoulder, knowing that he purposely did it to annoy her.

"I think that plate wasn't for Loki." Pepper warmly speak, eyes gleaming knowingly.

"Then who's?" Steve's eyebrows furrow, questioning her words.

"Guess again."

Arriving at Tony's private floor. Evelyn looked around, noticing the simple yet styles that scream his name all around. Of course, gold, white and soft wooden colours scheme make everything feel more luxurious, but he managed to make it more subtle in the eyes. Still, Evelyn assumes those are mostly Pepper ideas given how extravagance his lab and his house in Malibu are.

Overall, it was empty, but since this tower is his temporary house, it wasn't a surprise that he kept it simple.

Trailing her eyes on the elegant painting of cherry blossom with birds perching on the thin branches.

Her eyes were glued on the two birds facing each other. The kind of bird that she found off.

"Sparrow." She whispers, the tip of her fingers trailing the paint.

Feeling the hand supporting the plate grow heavy, she steps backwards and continues her way to Tony's bedroom but not before glancing at the painting.

"How can I help you, Miss Dyne?" A female robotic voice greets the young Stark when she reaches for the doorknob.

"Is Stark awake?"

"Mr Stark is just woken up, but he didn't wish to see anyone at th—"

Eve blinks after the voice turns silent. "The answer should be yes or no—" She speaks to herself before pushing the door open, revealing Tony, who faceplant on his bed ungracefully like a starfish.

The brunette remained unbothered and thankful that he hadn't decided to go commando.

"I smell something good—" Tony mumbled from his face still on the pillow, making his voice sounds muffled. Then, slowly peeling himself off the bed and just like Pepper, Tony jumped at the sight of his daughter standing by the end of the bed holding a tray of steaming coffee and a plate of pancakes.

"Jesus—"

"Now that's a déjà vu," Evelyn states, watching the billionaire trying to calm his fast-beating heart and let out a few coughs.

"W-w-what are you doing here? In, in my room?" He honestly doesn't know what to say at the moment. Of course, he wanted to apologize to her, but he wasn't someone who could readily admit his mistake, and yes, he did feel guilty, but from the short time he spent with his daughter, one thing he did know was that she was quite a headache.

Seeking for her with no context or reasons will be like walking naked on the battlefield. You need to be prepared for her, good or worse. So, Tony decided to spend some time alone with herself until she was entirely calm, and then he will give her a visit.

Not in a million thoughts of his did he imagine she coming first at him.

"Here—my arms getting tired." Instead of answering him, she walks near Tony and offers him the tray that he quickly took before he can even process the situation.

Still stunned by the suddenness, he watches in silence as Evelyn sits on his bed beside him. Finally, looking down at the tray, his eyes widen before letting out soft chuckles.

Word 'MORON' made of chocolate chip decorated the top of the stack.

"This doesn't change anything between us—" Eve states, eyes staring at the small frame on top of the dresser by the other side of the room.

A woman who looks in her 40s kneeling with a boy holding a paper Eve assumes is Tony, and a man resembled the billionaire so much standing behind them. A big smile on their bright and youth face. The picture was a bit faded, but it was good enough to see without much detail.

"It was taken when I visited my father's company. I managed to score all subjects at school, and your grandmother took a picture of us as a memory of my earliest achievement. My father hardly smiles at me, but I guess that he was a bit proud of me in that picture."

"Sounds like a bundle of joy."

Tony breathed out a chuckle. "Thank you—for this." He lifts the mug, taking a sip of the warm beverage. "And—and I'm sorry. For what I said, for what I did. I understand that it was easier to say and what I did was horrible—"

"I will think about it." Eve cut his speech off, taking the man off guard once again. She looks straight at him in the eyes. "I can't promise you when, but I will try too."

"Thank you, I guess—" A genuine smile form over the older Stark's lips. "And I will do whatever I need to obtain the forgiveness from you."

"Good luck—" The girl stole a blueberry and launched it into her mouth. "I'm quite hard-headed."
