Mum showed up early and ordered Fiona to cook some snacks for the Scorpions, and for the lovely guests whom I was looking forward to meet. Especially Barron.

40 Minutes Later :

The door knocked.
I got up from my bed as I heard my mum's footsteps heading towards the door.
I knew Rajwan wasn't here, so I sent him a quick text.
Hey, Where are you ? Sent at 3:40 pm.

Then I headed out of my room, slightly rolling my eyes.
As I was walking slowly downstairs, I got a text from Rajwan.
I'm in the car, heading to the airport to pick dad up. Recieved 3:41 pm.

Barron called me. He told me that their limo wasn't coming for another hour and they told me to go pick them up.
Received 3:41 pm.

The Scorpions has JUST arrived. Try to be late.
Sent 3:42 pm.
LOL, ok. Received 3:42 pm.
Gotta go meet them. Wish me luck.
Sent 3:43 pm.

Good luck, sis. Received 3:43 pm.
I put my phone in my front pocket, and walked towards the living room.
My youngest aunt, Marwa, who was in her early forties, greeted me with a bone crushing hug.
I patted her back slightly.

I was always awkward about hugging adults, especially with people I don't like. But with people I like, I can be very delighted with it.

Then I did an awkward cheek-kissing salute with my eldest aunt, Sahar, and my cousins Judy and Fayrouz (who were Marwa's daughters, Sahar didn't have any) , But then I noticed someone else.

"Miss Wafaa..?"
She got up and hugged me, I barely hugged her back as I was shocked to see her here.

Wafaa is my biological dad's cousin.
When my dad died, her brother asked us to take care of their 83-year-old mother, and everything was okay at first. I really liked Wafaa, since she was a really nice person who lives in America. But the second time she came to see us, things didn't go well.

We had a fight, and left their house. Then I realized that trusting people was hard enough for me, and everyone didn't care about us so I had a hard time trusting people, and I thought everyone was like Wafaa.

Anyway, Me and Allison sat down across from our dear guests, while mum sat next to Wafaa, and the Scorpion sisters and their daughters sat next to each other.

Then Sahar spoke in Arabic.

"How are you three ? That's a very nice villa you bought ! I didn't think it will ever happen !"
That's just plain rude.

My mum laughed, and that seemed uncomfortable to me.
"well, we saved up. Right, girls ?"
Look who's looking for support.
"right, what she said."

Allison said, wishing she would kill them and end the misery.
"well, what would you like to drink ?"
Mum asked, and Wafaa spoke next.
"well, do you have any coffee ?"

Mum nodded her head.
"Yes, of course. What about you ? And the girls, what would you like to drink ?"
At the end, they all wanted coffee, and the dearest cousins asked for orange juice.
