Β Β  Never did Evelyn expect this to happen. Ever. But here she was, doing the one thing she promised she would never allowed herself to do.

Evelyn had sex with Klaus.

How it ended up like this? She wasn't sure. But it was one situation she for sure never wanted to be involved in and was totally never written on her bucket list. Yet, karma had it's own plans for her.

Hook up with a homicidal psychopath?
Check.
I guess?

Wiping at her eyes to remove away the tiredness that had set in after a night full of scandalous action, Evelyn slowly took a glance behind her, blinking multiple times to see if what she was seeing was true.

Hair mussed from what seemed like it had been tugged on several times, the silk duvet laying over both of them, legs tangled over hers as Klaus, who had been laying on his stomach besides Evelyn, slept peacefully with his arm around her waist and his face buried in her neck, a soft sigh escaping his lips as he tightened his hold around her.

That was one sight she never expected to ever see.

Her and Klaus. Naked. Under the sheets.

No way. Evelyn mouthed, lips parted as she stared at his face in shock, continuously blinking and even slapping her own face to see what was right in front of her.

She slowly sat up, bringing the sheets closer up to her naked chest as she heard Klaus groan trying to bring her back to his arms.

"This can't be happening," Evelyn murmured, looking around the room to see their clothes scattered everywhere on the floor, trying to remember how exactly they ended up in this situation. "What have I done?"

Her eyes grew wide as she bent to down to pick up her underwear. "He ripped it? That was one of my expensive one's," she whispered. "He's definitely an animal."

"My love," Klaus' deep yet sleepy voice reached her ears when she felt his lips brush against her bare shoulder.

Evelyn froze, staring straight ahead at the wall in front of them as Klaus kept placing kisses on her shoulder and trailing them up to her neck as his hand snaked around her hip then rested on her bare stomach, pulling her closer to him.

So, Evelyn punched Klaus on his face instead.

"What the bloody hell was that about?!" Klaus yelled, holding his nose as he looked at her with wide eyes.

Evelyn screamed in response. And this time it was not out of pleasure.

Klaus nor Evelyn expected to find themselves in a situation like this. What started as a simple, deep conversation turned to a built of sexual tension the two had carried for months now. Ever since the night Klaus and Evelyn had slowly opened up to each other, they had been dancing around the tension they had felt between each other and tonight they decided to throw away the safe card.

Evelyn hadn't expected to do this, but a little liquid courage was enough to push her to just finally do what was on her mind.

Fuck him out of her system and then move on.

Was this a bad idea?

Yes.

Yet, here she was as Klaus backed Evelyn against the wall, earning one of her giggles he loved so much before it turned into a moan as he left a trail of kisses on her neck, nibbling on her sweet spot and watching her shiver in pleasure under his touch.

Evelyn gasped as Klaus' fingers dug further into her hips, her own hands running through his hair as she tugged on it.

This couldn't be real, right?

"Tell me what you want," he whispered in her ear. "All the things you want me to do. Tell me your dirty secrets, my love."

"Nik," Evelyn breathed out, a moan escaping from her lips. The sweetest sound he'd ever heard.

She definitely needed to stop.

Or maybe not.

"You have a sweet ache between your thighs that needs to be taken care of, doesn't it?" Klaus smirked, as his fingers lazily brushed against the hem of her silk nightgown and moved further up, trailing his finger on her inner thigh.

Evelyn flushed, biting on her lower lip to resist the urge to answer his question. She felt Klaus continuing to press kisses down her throat, nipping and biting, slowly taking off the straps off her gown as his thumb caressed over her nipple, letting out a low moan from her lips.

Now, she was going to stop this.

"This– this is so wrong. We need to stop. We can't do this." She placed her palms on his chest and attempted to push him away.

"I know it is, but doesn't it feel so good?" Klaus trailed a finger down under her chin, tilting her head up as he leaned closer with his lips brushing against hers. "You want me to satisfy you, hm?"

"But what about–"

"Stefan's not here," Klaus reassured her, reminding her that they had separate rooms this time instead of a suite. Luckily, Stefan's room was farther away from Evelyn's and Klaus' which had been next to each other's.

"Now, are you going to let me take care of you?" Klaus caressed her bottom lip with his thumb, eyes boring into hers with such intense filled with desire and temptation.

"Yes," she finally said.

Klaus then pressed his lips against Evelyn's, his kiss needy and demanding as she too matched the way she was craving for him. Rough, dirty and full of pent up lust. She pressed his body closer to his as she struggled to breath but was too reluctant to break away from the kiss. She never expected to be so addicted to a kiss like his.Β

She bit on his lip and he pulled away, sensing the grimace on his face but mostly the pleasure. She felt him grow hard as he picked her up, wrapping her legs around his waist and pressed himself against her, making her desperately whimper into his mouth. Her fingers tugging on the belt loop in his pants to silently ask him to take them off.

"More," she pleaded as he placed her on the counter top.

"Look at you," he chuckled, darkly. "So needy for my cock, aren't you?"

Evelyn blushed at his crude words, continuing to kiss him as she pulled him closer and rubbed against him harder, trying to get some of the relief she so desperately craved and needed.

Klaus broke away from her lips, his hand trailing from her waist, her chest then up to her neck as he wrapped his hand around it, gently, and slightly tilted her face up. "You are my good girl, aren't you?"

She didn't respond right away, just slowly licked her bottom lip. He groaned, slightly tightening his hand around her throat, and his lips hovered right above hers.

She shyly nodded in response.

"I need words, love," he demanded. "Say it."

"I'm your good girl," she whispered.

Klaus smirked, taking the opportunity to trail rough kisses down her throat down to her chest then biting her nipple, eliciting a small gasp of pleasure from her when his fingers slightly touched against her cunt, rubbing his fingers back and forth then pushing the wet lace material against it.

"Look at that," he murmured. "My needy girl is so wet for me, huh?"

She bit her bottom lip in response, lustful eyes gleaming up at him in anticipation, broken by a moan when he pressed on to her cunt with a little more pressure.

"Answer me. You know I don't like to wait, love."

"I need it," she begged. "Please, Nik."

"I love it when you beg for me," he whispered. "Turns me on a lot."

She pressed a hand against his pants, feeling him harden at just a light touch. "So desperate," he teased. "All I want to do is spread your legs and be inside you so bad, so much you'd beg for more and you'd take every inch of it like the good girl you are for me."

Evelyn gasped when Klaus pulled her panties aside, a soft sigh leaving her lips as soon as he ran a finger up her folds, making a shiver run up her spine as he inserted a finger into her dripping cunt, working on her clit and rubbing circles on the sensitive bud with his thumb.

"You're so beautiful, my love," he murmured against her neck as she tugged on his hair, pressing herself more against his finger.

"More," she whispered. "Please," she pleaded desperately.

He started adding more pressure to her clit, thrusting his finger inside her until he felt she was ready for another, the soft moans that came out of her lips getting louder as he stretched her more.

Evelyn squirmed under his touch as he paced his thrust harder, muffling her sounds with his lips as he kissed her harder, moving his tongue in and out of her mouth, nipping and biting on her lip.

"This is too much, Nik," Evelyn cried out against his mouth.

"This is nothing compared to what I have planned for you," he murmured against her lips. "And once i'm done you'll be crying for more."

She had almost reached her end as he curled his fingers up to reach her spot, breaking the kiss to let out a moan of his name, legs starting to shake and loosen around his waist but Klaus held one arm around to keep her up.

"Nik, i'm going to–" she gasped out.

"Not yet, my sweet girl. Keep your eyes on me," he groaned out, rubbing her sensitive bud as she arched her back, doing her best to keep herself quiet.

"Please," she begged, a tear escaping her eye from the immense pleasure she was receiving.

"Go on, my love." He finally let her as a loud moan erupted from her lips, feeling her tighten around his fingers.

Evelyn slumped against Klaus when she reached her climax, and with his hand tangled at the back of her hair, he yanked her head back to meet his eyes on her.

"Look at the mess you made on my fingers," he said. She slowly peeled her eyes open and watched as he sucked on his fingers, then slid his hand up to her jaw and forced her mouth open, making her taste his lips.

"Open up," he spoke against her lips and Evelyn did just what he told her to.

He took a step back as she stared with wide eyes and parted lips. "We're not done yet," he smirked, taking off his belt then took his pants off.

Evelyn gasped, taking in him from head to toe as she whispered in a daze, "Why is it so huge?"

━━━━━━━━━━

And that was how Evelyn woke up in a sweat, looking around as she realised she was in her bed all by herself. Not Klaus by her side. Clothes still on her.

It was all a dream. Again.

She had been fooled once again.

"Not another one," Evelyn cursed herself.

Running a hand through her hair, she took a deep breath as she reassured herself the dreams meant nothing.

Or did it?

Panicking, Evelyn quickly grabbed the mirror from the nightstand, moving her hair back to check if she had any marks on her neck. "It's not real," she mumbled to herself.

"At least I'm still a virgin. I didn't lose it to him."

Making her sigh in relief and lean back on her pillow, she calmed her rapid heartbeat. "This is the third dream about him in a row," she muttered, slapping a palm over her forehead. "I don't even like him."

"Where have my nightmares gone now?" She had lost count of how many of those inappropriate dreams she had now.

Each time she woke up with pent up lust, the need to be satisfied by him.

And to make matters worse she was forced to see Klaus' face everyday and the dirty thoughts would constantly run in her mind.

How it would feel to be touched by him. The words he would whisper in her ear. To be wrapped around his–

"Snap out of it," she smacked herself. "This is so wrong. He's an ancient fossil. He probably has a small crusty dick too."

Wasn't small when you dreamt about it.

"Oh God. I'm a slut," she whispered to herself.

"Don't think about it anymore. Just close your eyes and think of anything but him." Evelyn closed her eyes, removing any thoughts about him.

But, instead she was once again met with the image of Klaus gripping her thighs and his head in between her legs, and as if it's on it's own accord her hand slid down her stomach and between her legs immediately stopping when she felt a wet spot.

Gasping, she jolted up and looked under her covers. "No! How dare you betray me? And for him too? You're a poor excuse of a vagina," she mumbled curses to herself.

"No, no, no," she cried out, placing a pillow on her face to muffle out her scream. She didn't even know why she was so emotional.

"I've got to be starting my period." She checked the date on her phone. That time of month made her extremely emotional.

"It's the only explanation why i'm horny too. This has nothing got to do with Nik," she reassured herself.

"I need to take a shower again," she groaned and ran into the bathroom.

"Niko, no," Evelyn turned to face the bunny who was trailing behind her. "I need alone time. Go shit on Nik's bed or on his face. This is all his fault."

She closed the door to her bathroom, immediately taking a cold shower and quickly changing into a new set of pyjamas.

Walking back into her room, she let out a squeal when she found Klaus sitting on her bed, reading one of her books.

"My love–" Klaus began as Evelyn stared at him, not even listening to a word he was saying to her.

"Are you going to come?" Was all Evelyn managed to hear from Klaus.

"No!" Evelyn shouted. "You nasty creep."

"What?" Klaus gave her a look of confusion. He stood up, walking closer to her. "What have I done to offend you?"

Evelyn grabbed a pillow and threw it at him. "Out."

"I just wanted to watch a movie with you," he murmured.

Instead, she slammed the door on his face. "Ouch. What was that for?"

Evelyn opened the door again only to pick Niko up from the floor, who had been trying to climb up on Klaus' leg, then shut the door on Klaus' face again.

He frowned, rubbing the back of his head, "What did I do now?"

━━━━━━━━━━

It had been exactly 4 days, 3 hours, 21 minutes and 43 seconds since Klaus had been keeping count of Evelyn giving him the silent treatment.

He wasn't exactly sure why and recounted multiple times from every moment they shared the past week at what he did to make her avoid him.

He had even asked Stefan why Evelyn was quiet and in return his response was: "I don't really care what you two argued about this time but it has been the most peaceful time i've ever had in my entire life so let's leave it at that."

Stefan walked away with a huge smile on his face with Niko sitting on his shoulder, muttering words to the bunny about how happy he had been in a long time.

Klaus was very close to compelling Stefan to eat Niko.

Instead, he found Evelyn in the kitchen dancing along to the music playing softly on the radio as she ate a tub of her daily ice cream.

He couldn't last another day without hearing her voice. Even shouting at him. He just needed to hear her.

When Evelyn turned around, her eyes widened when she was met with Klaus staring down at her. "Why are you not speaking to me?" He asked.

"Hello, Nik. Bye, Nik," she quickly uttered the words and tried to make a run back to her room.

She squealed when Klaus' arm held her waist, lifting her up slightly and pulled her back in front of him. Trapping her against the counter with his arms in between her, he leaned down to level his face with hers.

Evelyn's lips almost touched his. But, she quickly moved her head back.

"I'm not letting you leave until you speak to me. Why are you ignoring me?"

Because all I could think about was us. On a bed. Your head between–

Evelyn shook the thought away. "We just did," she sassed back.

Klaus snatched the ice cream tub off her and the next thing he did was enough to make Evelyn's heart drop.

He ate a big scoop of the ice cream.

Evelyn gasped at the sight she was witnessing. "What the hell, you wrinkled puppy?!" She yelled.

"Wrinkled puppy?!" He yelled back.

"How dare you?" She whispered deadly.

Stefan ran out of his room to see what the loud commotion was about. "What happened?"

"He ate my ice cream," Evelyn pointed to Klaus.

Stefan's eyes widened, glancing at Klaus. "Why would you do that?"

"I just wanted to know what I did," Klaus shrugged. "It's not like she can kill me."

Evelyn glared at him and Stefan rubbed the back of his neck nervously, waiting for her next reaction. "Eve," he spoke softly. "I'll buy you more. Please don't fight with him."

"You told her, didn't you?" Klaus asked Stefan.

"I didn't tell her," Stefan murmured back.

Evelyn raised her brow, wondering what they were whispering about, "Stefan told me what?"

Klaus' eyes widened slightly, "Nothing."

"Then why would you say something like that," she pointed out. "Stefano. Speak. Now."

"Oh, uh–" Stefan stammered over his words.

"Stefan Salvatore," Evelyn warned.

Stefan avoided her eyes, looking at the wall behind her. "Klaus tried to flush Niko down the toilet."

A loud gasp escaped from Evelyn's lips as the ice cream tub and spoon slipped from her hand and fell down on the floor, her lips parted and face filled with shock.

Klaus wanted to snap Stefan's neck. Actually murder him now.

"He's exaggerating. I found Niko in the toilet like that. I think he was trying to swim inside it," Klaus tried to make up an excuse.

"Then why were you holding him? His head was facing the toilet," Stefan pointed out.

The atmosphere was filled with utter silence for a couple of minutes: Evelyn still in shock, staring off in space. Stefan rocking back and forth on his feet, nervously. Klaus poured himself a glass of whiskey, leaning against the counter as he waited for Evelyn to speak.

"Is she going to speak?" Klaus asked as he took a sip of his drink. "Your ice cream is on the floor by the way. Niko's eating it too."

Evelyn instead picked Niko up from the floor, quietly walked past them and into her room, locking the door.

"That's bad, right?" Klaus asked Stefan.

"Even worse than her usual lectures for you," Stefan murmured back.

They then heard Evelyn's soft voice behind the door. "Niko, be a good boy and stay in the room. Mommy has to do something."

The door opened with Evelyn walking out and shutting the door behind her. She smiled sweetly and slowly walked over to Klaus. "I know you can't be killed–" she began.

Klaus backed away from every menacing step she took.

"Why are you smiling so much now?" He asked, now feeling a little nervous.

Stefan watched with wide eyes when Evelyn walked past him and found her holding a crossbow and taser behind her back. "Not this again," he muttered to himself.

"So, I couldn't decide which one to use but then I thought why not both." She revealed the weapons in her hands.

"I thought you lost the crossbow? Where did you find it?" Klaus tried to play dumb.

"I'm glad you asked. You see, I spoke to the staff to let me check the cctv cameras and to my surprise I see you hiding it in Stefan's room," Evelyn revealed as she pointed an arrow at Klaus.

"What the hell?!" Stefan yelled.

"For someone who's lived for a 1000 years, you sure do lack a lot of brain cells in the common sense area," Evelyn snapped at Klaus.

"Do you think i'm afraid of that?" Klaus chuckled.

"Did I forget to mention the new upgrade I made. The arrows are laced with vervain and wolfsbane," Evelyn proudly explained and Klaus' smile faltered.

Stefan stood in front of Evelyn, trying to pry the weapons off her. "And you, I can't believe you didn't tell me," she snapped at Stefan.

"I mean, Niko is still alive," Stefan shrugged. "And this is the reason why I didn't want to tell. So give me the weapons."

"No, he deserves it. He keeps trying to kill Niko," Evelyn scowled.

"I should've just compelled Stefan to eat him instead," Klaus muttered to himself.

"What is wrong with you?" Stefan remarked, turning around to face him. "Why were you even trying to flush Niko down the toilet?"

"He ruined one of my paintings," Klaus said.

"And what is so special about it?"

Klaus briefly glanced over to Evelyn then looked away. "Nothing."

"I'm going to wipe that smug smile off his face," Evelyn muttered.

"Can you even reach my face?" Klaus remarked back.

"No, but my crossbow can." She pointed the crossbow at him. "Then I can taser your face."

"No!" Stefan tried to pry it off Evelyn's hands as he lifted her up from behind whilst also trying to drag her back into her room.

"Might want to move it a little bit above your head if you want to get my face," Klaus riled her up more. "Shall I get a stool for you to add more height to it?" He mocked her.

"If it was up to me, I would've sent you to the animal shelter where you belong," Evelyn snapped at him.

"I could send you to the asylum right now," Klaus threatened back. "Crazy girl."

"Could you just shut up?" Stefan asked as he turned to face Klaus.

Evelyn let out a frustrated sigh and shot the arrow towards Klaus.

Only to shoot Stefan instead. Twice. On both of his ass cheeks.

Stefan let out a painful grunt, falling to the ground and Evelyn gasped in horror. Klaus chuckled at the sight in front of him.

"Oh my God. I'm so sorry, Stefan," Evelyn knelt down besides him. "I'll take them out."

"No!" Stefan moved away from Evelyn. "You stay right there."

"You're bleeding from your ass too!" Evelyn panicked.

"Just move the crossbow away from me," Stefan winced. "How much vervain did you lace it with?"

"I'm sorry," Evelyn anxiously bit on her lip.

Klaus ran back into his room and locked the door, continuing to laugh.

"Just let me help you," Evelyn pleaded.

"No. You're not touching my ass," Stefan held his hand up to stop her.

━━━━━━━━━━

Evelyn bit on her thumb nervously as she watched Stefan step out of the bathroom, wiping his face with a towel. "Are you sure you're okay?" She asked.

Stefan sighed, "Can we not talk about my ass anymore?"

She fiddled with her fingers, nodding her head. "But you did scream when I shot you," she mumbled. "It sounded very painful."

"I'm okay, Eve," he reassured her.

"I know," she said.

"Are you going to let me sleep now? Or are you waiting to tuck me in bed?" Stefan teased to lighten up her mood.

"Do you want me to?" Evelyn asked, innocently.

Stefan chuckled, shaking his head at her. He pulled her into his arm and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. Evelyn smiled, tightening her arms around his waist.

"I want to say to stop arguing with Klaus but that will never happen, but can you at least stay away from him tonight? I need a decent sleep for once," he pleaded.

Evelyn giggled, looking up at him. "I will."

Stefan flicked her forehead, and she pouted, smacking his finger away from her.

"Okay, i'll let you sleep now," she said.

"About time," he joked.

Evelyn rolled her eyes, smiling as she walked out of his room and into the kitchen to make herself a snack.

From the corner of her eye she spotted Klaus walking into the kitchen and turned around to face him.

Klaus stopped, slowly looking at Evelyn. "What are you hiding behind your back now?"

"Nothing."

"I don't believe you. Turn around before I do it myself," he told her.

Evelyn let out an exaggerated sigh and gave him a twirl. "See? Nothing. You're so paranoid all the time."

"I would be when you're always pulling out weapons from nowhere," he remarked back.

"A girl's gotta defend herself," she shrugged.

Klaus rolled his eyes, and she spoke, "Are you going to apologise to Niko?"

"Why would I want to apologise to a bunny? He's just an animal," he scoffed.

"So are you," she remarked back.

Klaus shot a glare at her now and Evelyn smiled at him. "I'm just stating a fact. No need to feel like I bruised your ego."

He rolled his eyes at her, having nothing to say.

"I'm going out. I'll be back in a couple of hours," he said.

"Again? Where are you going?"

Klaus forced himself not to get too happy that Evelyn noticed this and kept a note of it too.

"Out." Was all he said.

"Okay," she drawled out.

Klaus gave her one last look before he left. Once the door clicked close, a mischievous smile crept on Evelyn's lips as she returned back to what she was planning to do.

━━━━━━━━━━

When Klaus returned back, the first thing that captured his attention was Evelyn still sat on the kitchen stool, but this time he noticed she had a look of sadness in her eyes as she stared off in space.

"What's wrong, my love?" He asked.

"Oh," Evelyn jumped up in surprise, wiping at her face and shook her head. "It's nothing."

"Have you been crying?"

She felt Klaus move closer then took a seat besides her as he spun her chair around to make her face him. He tilted her chin up, caressing the skin with his thumb.

"I'm fine," she muttered.

"Let's set our differences aside for a moment and tell me what's upsetting you?"

"I baked a cake for Stefan and he won't even try it." She fiddled with her fingers. "It took me forever to perfect my family recipe and he ignored me."

"That's why you're crying?" Klaus asked with a raise brow.

Evelyn gave him a side eye. "It's a family recipe. It means a lot to me if someone would at least take a bite of it."

"I'll try it then."

"Really?" Evelyn's face lit up.

"Yes, love," he nodded.

She jumped out of her seat, happily skipping over to bring her cake and placed it in front of Klaus as she cut up a slice and placed it on a plate for him. "I hope you like it."

Evelyn smiled as she watched Klaus take a bite, nodding. "It tastes great."

"I actually added a secret ingredient to it. Want to know? But you better not tell anyone."

"I won't," he gave her a shrug.

"It's Niko's poop."

If Klaus could throw up, it would've been at this moment, but instead he clenched his fist around the spoon, clearing his throat as he kept in the anger threatening to rise out of him.

"Tell me you're joking."

"Hey, you said the cake tasted great," she shrugged.

"You weren't crying at all, were you? You planned this," he stated.

He was such a fool when it came to doing anything for her.

"Do you need to wash it down? Here you go." She gave him a glass of water.

"No. I don't trust you with that," he said and walked over to the fridge, grabbing himself a bottle of water.

As he drank it, she spoke, "Actually that one, Niko pissed in it. Thought you should know how a toilet tastes like just like how you tried to shove him inside it."

Klaus choked then spat out the water, coughing repeatedly as he turned around to glare at her. "Are you happy now?"

"Yes," she smiled.

Klaus chuckled bitterly, and walked up to her. Evelyn eyed him and raised her chin up. "I'm not afraid of you."

"I know," Klaus smirked, and dunk the water all over Evelyn's head and face. "Taste's nice doesn't it?"

Evelyn laughed, not giving him the satisfaction to get a buzz out of it. "I think you missed a spot." She then grabbed the rest of the cake and smothered it all over Klaus' face.

"Eat shit." She gave him a pat on the cheek.

As Evelyn moved past him, Klaus lifted his leg in front and made her trip over on the floor. "You should really be careful when you're walking. So clumsy," he tutted.

Evelyn stood up and smoothed her dress down, swiftly getting her wolfsbane and vervain spray out then spraying them over his face. "Perfect."

Stefan, who had been watching it all happen, picked up the bunny and walked back into his room. "Come on, Niko. You don't need to see this."

━━━━━━━━━━

The next day

"I don't understand why you're exaggerating, Nik. I only scratched your car and a tiny one of that. Didn't have to get us a driver," Evelyn mumbled, keeping her eyes trained on the window, then moving back to the driver who Klaus compelled to drive them instead.

"A scratch?!" Klaus scowled at her. "It was more than just a scratch. Do you want me to list of all the damages you did to my car?"

"What did you expect me to do? Run the herd of sheep's over? Make me a murderer?" She remarked.

"Well, you were ready to shoot me with a crossbow again," he rebuked.

"I didn't though. Poor Stefan was the victim because of you," Evelyn defended herself.

"How is that my fault? You're the one who has terrible aim."

Stefan sighed, taking it upon himself to sit on the passenger seat this time whilst Klaus and Evelyn were sat at the back. He took this opportunity to turn the volume up on the radio, loud enough so it could block out their argument.

Should've bought my headphones with me. He thought.

Klaus pinched the bridge of his nose, turning away from Evelyn. She stubbornly crossed her arms over her chest. Giving each other a quick side glance, they scoffed and refused to look at one another for the rest of the journey.

She had returned back to her book, continuing to read it. Klaus noticed the book she was reading and nudged her, an arrogant smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he spoiled it. "She dies in the end."

She clenched her jaws, slamming the book shut and taking a deep breath.

"Kevin, you ancient old hybrid puppy creep!"

"I can't do this anymore." Stefan buried his face in his hands.

Klaus reached out to snap Stefan's neck. Again.

Evelyn harshly smacked the book on Klaus' face before he could. "Don't touch Stefano!"

━━━━━━━━━━

"I'm only going away for a couple of minutes. Are you both able to follow a simple instruction and not talk to each other?" Stefan rubbed at his temple.

Klaus glared at him, "What gives you the impression that I will listen to you?"

Evelyn waved him off. "Ignore him just like I will. Just go. We won't talk," she reassured Stefan.

"Thanks," Stefan rolled his eyes and left the two alone amongst the busy crowd surrounding them.

Not even a minute passed by before Klaus spoke up, "I need a favour."

"Nope," Evelyn stared down at her phone, not even sparing him a glance.

"You owe me this much after making me eat a cake and drink water that was filled with a bunny's faeces."

"And you got me back by spoiling my book for me. We're even now."

"Love–" Klaus took a deep breath, rubbing at his temple. "We had a deal."

"Deals over. Mr Driver, do you think I should be his girlfriend after what he did?" Evelyn asked the driver.

The driver remained quiet and didn't even look at Evelyn. "Did you compel him to not speak to me as well?"

"Yeah," Klaus shrugged. He didn't want the driver to speak to Evelyn anymore.

"You're so–" She tried to think of a word.

"I'm still waiting," he said.

"Urgh!" She groaned in frustration.

"Come on, love. I apologised for it."

"I don't want your apology."

"Then what do you want?"

"You know what I want."

Klaus' eye's widened, moving closer to her and whispering harshly, "I will never be your pet."

"I completely forgot about that, but now that you've mentioned it." She clapped her hands, an excited smile on her face.

"No!" Klaus exclaimed and she pouted. Don't fall for it this time. He reminded himself.

"Fine. It will happen one day but for now, I want to go to PetSmart."

"We just went yesterday to get Niko's food. Why do you need to go again?"

"For you obviously," she smiled.

"You–" Klaus pinched the bridge of his nose.

"I'm kidding," Evelyn laughed. "I want to buy some toys for him."

"Fine. Now, are you still–"

"Yes," she finished for him.

"Okay," Klaus nodded. "So–"

"You should answer your phone first."

"I'm talking to you. I'll answer it later," he said.

"Just answer it. It's been ringing non stop now," she told him.

Klaus let out a frustrated sigh, as he picked up the call and moved a little further away from Evelyn. She glanced around her surroundings, taking pictures on her polaroid at whatever caught her attention.

That was when Evelyn froze when she noticed a figure facing directly opposite her from a distance. Like the person was staring at her. "What in the horror movie is this now?"

She squinted her eyes, trying to get a better vision of the person. It wasn't Grace for sure. Nor was it Katherine stalking them as usual.

All she could make out was they had raven hair and standing in all dark clothes.

So, Evelyn instead waved at them to get a reaction back.

"Who are you waving at?" Klaus asked, standing in front of her.

"No one," she quickly replied back, pretending to run a hand through her hair.

Evelyn looked over Klaus' shoulder still finding the figure standing opposite them. "Nik, can you pinch me?"

"Do what?"

"Pinch me."

"No."

"Just do it," she told him.

Klaus pinched her on the cheek then on her hip. "Ouch! I only said once and not that hard," she rubbed her cheek and hip.

"You told me to," he shrugged.

Evelyn looked back over his shoulder, only this time there was no one there. I'm slowly losing it.

"Is there something you're not telling me, love?"

"What?" Evelyn turned to Klaus with a look of suspicion on his face. "There's nothing to tell."

"You've been acting odd than your usual self lately. You zone out for a period of time and your hands been shaking a lot too. What's happening?"

Was he paying attention to me? Evelyn wondered.

"That's just a habit," she laughed nervously. "And what do you class as my usual self?" She placed her hands on her hips.

"Do you really want me to list it all?" Klaus gave her a look. "It's a long one too."

"No," she mumbled. "Let's go."

And just like that Evelyn avoided Klaus' questions of curiosity and concerns again.

━━━━━━━━━━

"Shall I order more desserts for you, Eve?" Stefan asked.

"What?" Evelyn blinked. She zoned out again.

He gestured to her plate. "Oh no. I'm full now. I'm feeling tired now. It's been a long day."

"Okay." Stefan placed the plates back on the trolley. "Goodnight, Evie."

"Goodnight, Stefano," she smiled as she laid down on the bed, hearing him close the door.

20 minutes had passed by when Evelyn suddenly jolted up, her eyes moving around the room. "Niko," she sighed when he wasn't around. "You need to stop running away."

She ran out of her room, calling out the bunny's name as she searched for him. A look of relief swept across of her face when she found his tail peeking out from a corner.

Only for Niko to run into Klaus' room. "No," she whispered. "Not his room."

Evelyn tiptoed quietly, peeking her head in to check if Klaus was inside but only the sound of the shower running was all she could hear. She was thankful for that.

"Niko. Get back here," she whispered softly, looking under Klaus' bed to find where the bunny was hiding. "What is your obsession with always going to his room?"

Her search to find him was now distracted from the few sketchbooks and papers scattered on Klaus' bed, and couldn't help but move closer to them. Curious, she picked up one of the sketchbooks and flicked through the pages.

"So he does have talent besides having a dreadful ego," she murmured to herself.

"Oh? Who are you?" She questioned, looking at one in particular that caught her attention.

It was the only that had colour on it. A brunette woman who seemed like she was walking through a gorgeous field of flowers.

Evelyn never asked Klaus much about his personal life, never wanting to step into his space, but the sketch itself told her it had a lot of meaning to it.

She wondered who this faceless girl was.

"What are you doing?"

Evelyn jumped up at the sudden sound of Klaus' voice, throwing the book back on the bed and turned around to look at him.

All she could notice was the state he was in, breath catching in her throat as she shamelessly eyed him up and down. The upper part of his body was covered with a slight sheen, and a pair of sweatpants hanging low around his waist as she watched him place his necklace around his neck and slipped in the rings on his fingers, gulping as she watched how his back and arm muscles flexed before he turned back to her.

Why does he have to be so annoyingly sexy? She thought.

"I don't like repeating myself," his deep voice brought her back as she found him walking closer to her.

Suddenly feeling intimidated by him, Evelyn stumbled on her feet when she tried to move back but regained her balance as she looked at him, trying her best to not feel anything for him. "I was, um–"

"You was what?" Klaus asked, raising a brow.

"Can you please put on a shirt first?" Evelyn whispered, looking at anywhere but him.

A smirk lifted on his lips when he finally stood in front of her, tilting her chin up as he made sure she looked into his eyes. "Now, why would I do that? Am I distracting you?"

"Because I asked you to. Nicely," she said.

"And I asked you what you are doing in my room? Answer me," he demanded. "Hm?" He kept a firm grip on her chin so she was directly staring at him.

Evelyn's legs suddenly felt like jelly. And this time her heart wasn't the only part of her that was throbbing.

"I was looking for Niko," she answered immediately.

Klaus looked around. "He's not here."

"He was just right there–" She pointed to where Niko was, but he was nowhere in sight.

"How could you use the bunny as an excuse to see me? You finally miss me, huh?" Klaus teased.

He for sure missed spending the nights with her.

"No–"

"You're the one that barged in uninvited, love. You're lucky I'm dressed or were you expecting me not to be?"

Evelyn gasped, eyes widening. "I was doing no such thing," she fired back. "Niko ran into your room. I swear he did."

"Then why were you lying on my bed then? Unless you had other ideas to stay in my room tonight instead of yours?"

"I told you this so many times. I don't want to sleep with you! We're never happening."

"Then why is your heart beating fast?"

"Heart palpitations," she gulped.

Klaus nodded, "Yet, you were lying on my bed."

"You know what? If you're that desperate for a release how about you do yourself a fucking favour instead and go fuck yourself," she gave him a sweet smile and walked past him.

Klaus grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him, her chest hitting his as he kept her hands behind her back and gently kept a grip on her jaw. His gaze intensely boring into hers.

"Such filthy words should not be coming out of this pretty little mouth."

Evelyn gulped before mustering up the courage to speak, "Well, I just did. What are you going to do about it?"

"Put that mouth to better use." He caressed her bottom lip. "And then you'll thank me for it," he whispered, eyes flickering down to her lips then back to her eyes.

Evelyn's breath hitched, her voice coming out a little shaky. "Let–" She couldn't even finish.

"Now, would you look at that? Cat got your tongue," his voice was taunting. His body towered over hers, lips just inches away from hers.

Her eyes too flickered down to his lips and then back to him, instantly feeling intimidated by his dominance. And for the first time Evelyn couldn't give him back a sassy remark. Too stunned to speak.

"Go back to your room before I do something you'll hate me more for." He let go of her and took a step back.

Evelyn took a deep breath and walked away. "My love?" He called her.

"W– What?" She cleared her throat.

"Take Niko with you then," he smirked.

Evelyn kept in her frustration, picking up the bunny. "Jerk," she muttered to herself as she left.

"I heard that."

"Wrinkled puppy."

"That too."

"Dusty fossil."

━━━━━━━━━━

The next morning, Klaus knocked on Evelyn's room, waiting for her to answer him. "Are you decent?"

Evelyn took a deep breath, before answering him. There was no way she was able to avoid him after last night and it seemed like Klaus didn't care what he said. Moving on from it like nothing happened between them.

Does he speak like that to others? She wondered.

"Yep. You can come in."

"We're leaving now," he said.

"I can't go," she responded back.

Klaus noticed she was still in her pyjamas, a face mask on as she painted her nails. "You are going. If you think for a second that i'm going to leave you here so you can kidnap another animal. The chances are very unlikely."

"I'm not going to kidnap an animal. Intentionally," she rolled her eyes.

"My love–" Klaus sighed.

"I got invited to a party."

"Who the bloody hell invited you?"

"You know Cassie and Jake," she began. Klaus raised his brows in question. "The receptionist downstairs and the bell boy. I told them I had no plans tonight so they invited me."

"But you do have plans," he said.

"We've been searching for Ray for weeks now. That is not a plan anymore. It's more like a job and you're not even paying me for it as well!" Evelyn exasperated.

"You spent over 50k this month alone on my card that you stole from me."

"Technically not. I actually donated the money to charities that need it and also because you are Niko's financial provider and my baby needs to be fed and pampered."

"But did you buy yourself anything?" Klaus asked.

"Yes."

"You're lying," he said

"I'm not," she laughed.

"You bite on your fingernail's when you lie," he stated.

"No, I don't," Evelyn frowned, putting her hand down.

"You also touch your nose," he pointed out.

"Doesn't matter if I didn't spend it," she said.

"You're not going to the party."

"From what I remember, I buried both my biological father and adopted father and you do not look like any of them unless you resurrected as one of them from the dead."

"I do not wish to be your father," Klaus gave a look of disgust. "Ever."

"Look, the party is at a bar down the road from this hotel. I'll be fine and Stefan is already okay with me going," Evelyn said as she held up two dresses against her chest and glanced at the mirror.

Klaus knew Evelyn was too stubborn to ever listen to him and would most likely run away from him if he dragged her with him. He felt defeated at that. "Fine."

"Yay!" She cheered. "Okay. Shoo. I need to get changed. Bye."

Before he left, Klaus turned back around to Evelyn. "The red dress. It brings out your eyes." He immediately left after saying that.

"Oh."

━━━━━━━━━━

It hadn't even been an hour when Klaus and Stefan left to find the wolf. Klaus' only reason was that he was given the wrong information, but really all he could think about was a certain brunette possibly making out with a stranger and that bothered him a lot.

So, here Klaus was, leaving Stefan to babysit Niko while he walked into the bar in search of Evelyn.

Immediately, he spotted her near the bar, wearing the red dress he chose for her. And it truly did make her stand out. She always did to him.

His mood was then dampened when he noticed she was laughing with another man, who was too close to her much to his liking.

Walking over to them, he wrapped an arm around Evelyn's waist and stood behind her. "There you are, my love. Sorry, i'm late."

Evelyn tilted her head back to the side and looked up at Klaus, narrowing her eyes at him.

"I don't even know him," she quickly told the stranger she had been speaking to.

Klaus tugged Evelyn back to him. "She's just a little upset with me."

"I'm Andrew," the stranger introduced himself to Klaus.

Klaus moved closer, blocking Evelyn from their view as he shook the man's hand. "And i'm going to kill you," he smiled menacingly.

"W– What?"

"Did you think no one would notice about the drug slip you put in my girl's drink?"

"Nik–" Evelyn tried to get his attention over the loud music, slapping his back to move him away.

Klaus ignored her, beginning to compel the man. "I'm assuming you've done this before and as much as I would like to kill you myself, I don't want to leave her alone. So, you're going to take this drink for yourself and then you're going to go home and stab yourself until you bleed out and die. Get out of my sight," he gritted.

Evelyn shoved Klaus away. "Whatever he said is a lie. He's not my–" Evelyn sighed when the stranger walked away. "Boyfriend."

She stomped on Klaus' foot, turning around to face him. "Ouch! That actually hurt," he complained.

"I don't care. What the hell are you doing here? You said you'll be back later. Way later," she pointed a finger on his chest.

"Didn't find him," he said.

Evelyn rubbed at her temple, "Do you have seperation anxiety, Nik?"

"What? No," he scoffed at that.

"Then why are you always up my ass everywhere we go?"

Klaus chuckled, "You shouldn't have said that, love." It was a tempting offer though.

"Why?" Evelyn realised a moment later. "I didn't mean it like that. Get your mind out of the gutter. You're disgusting–" She continued to scold him. "What?" She caught him staring at her.

"You look so beautiful," he murmured softly.

All thoughts to shout at him removed away when Evelyn kept in the smile threatening to form on her lips. "Well, you weren't the only to tell me that tonight," she sassed back instead.

"Hm," Klaus hummed, backing Evelyn against the counter as he caged her in between his arms. He brought a hand towards her face and a twirled a curl of her hair around his finger before letting his thumb caress her jaw.

"Pretty girl," he whispered as the other hand rubbed her hip.

"Oh," Evelyn was at loss for words, her cheeks tinting. "Uh–"

She even pressed her legs together.

"Thank you," she shyly spoke, turning her head away to hide her blush.

Yep, she needed another drink. So, she turned away from him, but still felt Klaus' chest pressed up against her back, a hand still rubbing her hip while the other rested on the counter next to her hand.

"Your hand is on my hip," she said.

"I know." She felt Klaus' lip brush against her ear, daring her to do something.

She didn't. She should move away but she never wanted to. His hands felt too good on her whenever he touched her.

"I thought you don't drink," Klaus said.

"You thought wrong," Evelyn shrugged.

"Wow. This is a new Evelyn i'm seeing."

"Maybe i'm not always a good girl." She took a sip of her drink, making eye contact with Klaus as he watched with an amused look.

A small smirk tugged at Klaus' lips when she placed the glass down, his thumb caressed her bottom lip and then licked off the droplet of the alcohol.

"Tastes even better," he hummed.

Evelyn's lips parted, eyes slightly darkening before she composed herself. It felt like a deja vu.

It can't be.

Turning in front of the bar, Evelyn motioned for the bartender over to her. "Can I have another one? A little stronger as well."

"No more," Klaus said.

"Don't listen to him," Evelyn waved him off.

"How many did you drink, love?" Klaus asked her.

"This is only my 2nd one," she rolled her eyes. "Stop being a party pooper."

"You're starting to get intoxicated already," he shook his head with a sigh.

And it was the reason why Evelyn barely drank alcohol. Because of her low tolerance for it and also because drunk Evelyn was a tad little crazier than she already was.

"Last one," Klaus told her.

"Last one," she mimicked his accent and an amused smile curved on his lips.

30 minutes later

The smile on Klaus' face kept growing as he watched Evelyn sway to the music in the middle of the crowd with a group of ladies dancing with her, being the centre of attention like she was to him.

Evelyn now was on her fourth drink and quite tipsy, but nevertheless she hadn't felt so carefree in a long time as she twirled around under one of the girl's arms and laughed as they all cheered her on.

"Nik!" Her words came out more of a slur as she pushed herself out of the crowd and almost fell, but Klaus quickly caught her, letting her lean against him.

"No more drinks for you," he said as he made her sit down on the barstool.

"Nik." She tugged on the collar of his jacket, pulling him down to her. "Dance with me."

"I don't dance," Klaus shook his head.

Evelyn pouted, "Not even with me."

"Not with everyone around us," he said.

"Or maybe you're just afraid everyone will make fun of your grandpa moves," she teased. "Come on. It'll be fun. Don't be shy."

"No."

"Fine," she sighed.

"What are you doing?" He asked when she attempted to stand up.

"Checking to see if one of the guys in the corner will want to dance with me since you're too much of a wuss," she shrugged with a giggle.

"I want to dance now," Klaus held Evelyn's hand and dragged her to the floor. No way was he going to let another man touch her.

"Yay!" Evelyn cheered, twirling under Klaus' arm as he moved her in front of him.

Evelyn faced Klaus, excitedly bouncing on her toes as she swayed her hips and danced along to rhythm of the loud music. He couldn't help but laugh at the sight he was lucky enough to see. She was so happy. Not giving a damn about anything around her.

"You're not even dancing!" Evelyn waved her arms in the air. "Loosen up!"

"Standing here with you is enough for me," he said.

Evelyn shifted closer to him, her body brushing against his. Klaus felt her take both of his hands and intertwined her fingers with his as she moved them around, trying to get him to move. "Just keep your eyes on me," she told him with a smile. "Ignore them all."

Klaus' gaze was now fixated on her drunken yet adorable state, as she danced. A laugh escaping her lips when she attempted to make him move his hips.

Yet, he couldn't help but feel as though they were being watched. And not because of the way they were dancing. Taking a thorough glance around him, he didn't catch a pair of eyes looking at them at all.

"What's wrong, Nik?" Evelyn asked, tilting his chin to make him look at her.

"Nothing," he reassured her.

Evelyn shrugged, giggling when Klaus twirled her around. Taking her by surprise when he placed a hand on her lower back and pressed her against him.

"Watch it," he scowled at the group of people who almost hit Evelyn.

"The bitch should watch it," one of them snarled back.

Klaus' jaw tightened, "I'll be back, love."

"No! It's okay," Evelyn told Klaus.Β

"They almost knocked you down!"

"I'm fine. You're here with me," she told him.

Klaus sighed, his gaze softening when he looked down at Evelyn who had been lazily smiling at him. All thoughts about wanting to murder the stranger who disrespected her faded away as she gave him just one look. He was shocked when she wrapped her arms around his neck, feeling her move her hips when he placed his hands down on them.

"These stupid heels still don't even make me tall," she pouted. "And they even hurt too."

As she continued to ramble, Klaus admired her with such fondness and desire as he tucked a loose strand of curl behind her ear and felt Evelyn move closer to him, making his lips brush against her forehead.

"I've missed your rambling so much," he murmured lowly to himself.

"Hey," Evelyn smiled widely, moving her head to look at him better.

"Hi," Klaus smiled back, his hand caressing her back while the other was running through her hair as he heard her sigh in content, eyes closed and making them both slowly move to the music.

"I need another drink," she murmured.

"No," he chuckled.

And when Evelyn stared at him, he stared back, tuning everyone out around them as she gave him a gentle, breathtaking smile that made him feel warm. She was happiness in the form of a person. His happiness.

And Evelyn had no idea of the power she held over him.

"My love?"

"Nik?" She teased back.

"I–" Klaus began.

"Stefano is here!" Evelyn exclaimed happily, waving her arms in the air to get him to notice her. "Oh, i'll just have to go get him. Stay here. We'll all dance together."

Klaus cleared his throat, watching as Evelyn stumbled her way through the crowd to get to Stefan. Sighing, he walked away from the dance floor and sat near the bar.

"Stefano!" Evelyn screamed. "I'm here!"

"Hey," Stefan laughed, catching her in his arm when she almost tripped over her own feet. "Are you drunk?"

"No," she let out a small hiccup. "I had like 4 lemonades. No alcohol. I pinky swear."

"Evelyn," Stefan warned. "Do you remember what happened last time?"

"I'm fine. I'm not even that drunk," she scoffed and he shook his head at her. "You need a drink though. Plenty of it."

"Just one drink. I'm not planning to get drunk with you," he smiled.

━━━━━━━━━━

"I'm so drunk!" Stefan slammed down his whatever this glass was. He lost count.

"Woohoo! So am I. Drunk buddies for life," Evelyn gave him a high five and Stefan smiled like an idiot.

"Wait, wait. How many fingers am I holding?" Evelyn giggled, showing him 3 fingers.

"I know the answer!" Stefan exclaimed excitedly, counting the fingers she was holding. "Why do you have 4 hands?" He scratched the back of his neck.

"You silly man," she tutted. "I'm holding 6 fingers. I think? Wait, when did I have an extra thumb?"

Klaus shook his head, being the only sober one from them all as he rubbed at his temple.
Hearing his phone buzz, he took it out and sighed, looking back at them he yanked Stefan by his collar and spoke, "Make sure she doesn't leave your sight."

"Yes, dad," Stefan saluted him and Evelyn giggled, saluting Klaus too.

He rolled his eyes, walking away from the two as he took the call outside whilst keeping his eyes on them in case Evelyn did something reckless.

"Oh my God, Stefan!"

"What?" His words were slurred.

"You have two heads!" Evelyn pointed to him.

"Really?" Stefan touched his head.

"Hey." A group of ladies came over to them, giggling.

"Nuh uh. He's taken," Evelyn shook her head. "Sorry ladies, but he's loyal." She patted Stefan on his chest.

"I am," Stefan raised his glass at that and took another shot.

"We don't mind you and your boyfriend joining us," one of them said.

Evelyn and Stefan looked at each other with horrified eyes. "Ew! No! That is the most disgusting thing we've ever heard."

"He's my future brother in law," Evelyn wrapped an arm around Stefan.

"I'm going to be the flower boy at her wedding," Stefan declared proudly.

"Ooh. Can I be your best woman then?" Evelyn asked. "Not Damon. Tell him to bugger off."

"Sure."

"She's single though," Stefan turned to the group of ladies, pointing to Evelyn.

"I'm not," Evelyn shook her head, hiccuping at the same time.

"You're not?" Stefan looked confused.

"I don't think I am," she thought for a moment. "I forgot his name."

"This is so confusing," he murmured.

"Yes, but I will dance with you gorgeous girls," Evelyn pointed to them.

They nodded and two of them held Evelyn's hand taking her to the dance floor, she took a glance over her shoulder to see Stefan giving her a thumbs up and a cheer of "get them all!"

One thing led to another when Klaus walked back into the bar to find Evelyn dancing on the bar counter, spraying a bottle of drink in the air and cheering along with everyone else who chanted her name.

"Evelyn! Evelyn! Evelyn!"

Her eyes met Klaus' and her grin widened. "Everybody let's hear it for the man of the hour, Kevin!" She pointed to him.

"Kevin! Kevin! Kevin!" All eyes were on Klaus now.

Even Stefan in his drunken state was cheering for Klaus. "Kevin!"

"Bloody hell. This can't be happening," Klaus muttered, pushing his way through the crowd whilst knocking people down along the way.

"It's my old man," Evelyn laughed, waving to Klaus. "Make way for him," she told the crowd.

Before Evelyn could speak any further, Klaus threw her over his shoulder.

"Hey!" Evelyn squealed, giggling and kicking her feet when Klaus walked away from the hurdle of drunken fools who kept cheering Evelyn and Kevin.

"Everybody gets a free drink from yours truly!" Evelyn yelled. "Mr Bartender, put it on this generous man's tab. I'm broke." She patted Klaus on the back.

"Guys! Wait for me!" Stefan tried to walk with them but was too tipsy to even move. "Maybe not," he mumbled when Klaus already left with Evelyn.

━━━━━━━━━━

"Am I flying?" Klaus rolled his eyes when Evelyn poked on his back. "I'm a superhero," she giggled.

"Wow," she whispered. "Hey?"

"What is it, love?"

"That is one fine ass," she complimented. "Can I touch it?"

"No."

"Pretty please. Just a little squeeze," she pleaded. "I'll be gentle."

"No."

"Killjoy, you can put me down now," Evelyn said. "Oi. You." She gave him a pat on his ass. "Put me down."

Klaus settled Evelyn down, quickly holding her against him before she could fall backwards. "You're so drunk."

"You have a twin, Nik?" Evelyn asked, looking baffled and confused. "Why didn't you tell me? I'm a twin too," she gasped.

Evelyn cupped his face, tilting it from one side to the other. "Your brother looks just like you. Wow. What's his name?"

"As much as I enjoy seeing you like this, you need to sober up. Let's go back to the hotel," Klaus said, fighting off the smile that was threatening to show.

"Nope. You'll have to catch me first," she giggled as she ran away from him.

Klaus rubbed a hand down his face, watching as Evelyn ran around him in circles instead.

"Actually can you pick me up now? My feet are killing me," she groaned.

Klaus nodded, bending down to carry her in his arm. "No. I want a piggy back." He stood in front of her as she jumped on his back and smiled in content as he walked them back to the hotel.

"He's carrying me because he's my bitch," Evelyn told the people walking past them. "Literally," she laughed at her own joke.

"Did you get it, Nik?" She asked. Klaus was quiet. "Nik?" She poked his cheek.

"Mhm," he reluctantly agreed to her.

"Because you know, you're a dog," she whispered in his ear as though she was telling him a secret.

Klaus now decided he didn't like drunk Evelyn.

Evelyn wrapped her arms around his neck, laying her head on his shoulder. "This is nice," she sighed, happily.

"Of course it is. You're getting the bloody princess treatment," he muttered. And he would do anything for her.

"Hey!" Evelyn slapped him on the forehead. "I'm actually a queen."

"That you are, my love," he murmured.

"Say, I love Eve," Evelyn held her phone towards them, smiling but Klaus snatched her phone off her.

"Give it back!"

"Shush."

"I'm sad now," she mumbled.

Returning back to the hotel, Klaus entered inside Evelyn's room, setting her back down but she didn't move, still clinging on to his back. "You need to get down, love."

"So warm," she whispered, burying her face in his neck. "Soft."

"Eve," he sighed. Evelyn groaned and reluctantly let him put her down.

She dramatically fell down on her bed, "I can't believe he did that." Klaus was baffled by her 360 mood change.

"Who did what?"

"Kevin. That stupid, annoying fart stopped me from getting laid tonight. I was so close," she cried out.

Klaus suppressed in his laughter.

"When you find Kevin. Bring him to me. I want to kick his ass," she told Klaus. "Okay?"

"Okay," he nodded with a smile.

"Oh, Niko!" Evelyn ran towards the bunny, who had been laying on his own little bed, bending down to pick him up.

"Mommy and Daddy are back. We missed you," she smothered kisses all over his head.

Evelyn shoved Niko towards Klaus' face. "What?" He asked.

"Give our baby kisses," Evelyn tilted her head, smiling at him.

"No."

"Now," she demanded.

Klaus gave a quick kiss on top of Niko's head then wiping his lips with his hand when Evelyn looked away.

Evelyn mumbled an "i love you" to Niko before giving him one last kiss and stood up from the floor. Leaning against the wall, she attempted to take off her heels, but instead almost fell face forward. "Careful, love."

"My heels," she mumbled, leaning against him. "Off."

Klaus knelt down in front of her, beginning to take her heels off for her.

Evelyn smiled, caressing his hair as he took them off. "You look so sexy on your knees for me."

Klaus didn't dare to look up at her, forcing himself not to blush at her words.

Once he had taken them off, he stood up to look at her. "You need to change." He motioned to her dress, giving her a set of pyjamas he picked up from her bag.

"Turn around then, perv," she giggled. "I'm not giving you a free show."

Klaus turned around. "No peeking, okay?"

"I won't."

"Nik?"

"What is it?"

"Can you unzip me?"

Klaus faced her back, unzipping her as she quickly took the straps off and let the dress pool around her feet. His eyes widened when he caught a glimpse of the red lace set on her body. His gaze slowly moving down to her chest, but he quickly looked away, clearing his throat.

Not the time.

Only to be met with a mirror facing opposite him where he saw Evelyn changing. "Bloody hell," he muttered, almost in pain as he shut his eyes closed and a fist over his mouth to stop himself.

That was until he felt a soft material land on top of his head. Picking it up, he gulped when it was Evelyn's bra that she threw at him by accident.

"I can't do this anymore," he whispered under his breath.

He quickly threw it in the basket in the corner of her room, praying it was only just that she took off. Or he just might faint if it was more.

"Done!" Evelyn happily announced.

Klaus walked her over to the bed, making her sit down on the edge of the bed as he rummaged through her vanity desk. "What are you doing, Nik?"

"To take your makeup off." Klaus once again knelt in front of Evelyn, taking a wipe out and carefully wiped off the makeup from her face.

"Makeup makes me look beautiful," Evelyn gave him a lazy smile.

"You look beautiful without it too, my love."

Once he was done, Evelyn placed both palms on the side of his face, staring at him as she caressed his cheeks. "You're cute," she giggled.

Klaus chuckled, "And you need to sleep."

"With you?" She tilted her head to the side.

"No. You'll shoot me when you're sober," he said.

"I won't! I promise. Please stay," she repeatedly murmured, as she tugged on his hand. "Please."

"Okay. Fine," he lied. "Let me change first."

"Yes!" She smiled. "I'll be waiting for you." Klaus decided to play along with it and nodded, taking one glance over his shoulder when he saw her laying her head against the headboard, arms crossed over her chest as she waited for him. She would fall asleep by then. Hopefully.

When he closed the door, he leaned his head against it and took a deep breath before making his way to his room, but he skidded to a halt when he found Stefan standing near the front door.

Stefan laughed, waving at Klaus. "I'm back."

Stefan then collapsed to the ground, making Klaus roll his eyes.

He contemplated if he should leave Stefan like that, but knew if Evelyn saw this in the morning he wouldn't have the energy to deal with her wrath.

So, Klaus grabbed on to Stefan's leg and dragged him from the across the floor all the way to his room and left him laying there.

"Finally," Klaus told himself as he made his way back to his bedroom. Closing the door, he took off his jacket and laid it on the chair next to him.

"Hi, Nik," Evelyn's voice made him jump in surprise when he turned around to find her sitting on his bed.

"My love," Klaus sighed.

"You were taking forever so we came here instead," she smiled.

"We?"

Niko's head popped out from under Evelyn's sweatshirt.

Klaus rubbed at his temple, knowing there was no way he would be able to convince Evelyn that it was best if she goes back to her room.

"I'm so hot," she complained as she proceeded to take off her sweatshirt.

Klaus then remembered she had no bra underneath and practically dived on to the bed, pulling the shirt back down on her. "No! Don't take it off."

"But it's boiling hot in here," she whined.

"I'll turn the AC on. Just don't take your shirt off."

"Okay," she chirped. Klaus did just that but she still complained. "I still don't want to wear this."

"Please don't do this to me," he mumbled. Quickly grabbing one of his shirt, he gave it to her. "Here. Wear this."

"Thank you." He turned around letting her change.

Klaus didn't expect to end up in a situation like this.

He was now leaning against the headboard whilst Evelyn's back was leaning on his chest, sitting in between his legs as she drank her lemonade and ate ice cream she made him get for her.

She just refused to be away from him.

"Would you like some?" Evelyn turned her body to the side to look at him.

"You're sharing your food with me?" Being shocked about this was an understatement.

"Mhm." She brought her straw towards his lips.

"I'm not thirsty," he shook his head.

Evelyn shrugged, resting her head back on his chest as she drank whilst Klaus caressed her hair and the other rested on her stomach, rubbing circles on it.

When she finished drinking, Klaus set the glass down on the nightstand as Evelyn moved to face opposite him, sitting on her knees as she stared at him.

"Can you sleep now?" Klaus asked.

Evelyn didn't respond, instead she straddled his waist and wrapped her arms around his neck, laughing as she wiggled her hips against his lap to make herself comfortable.

"This is torture," Klaus muttered.

"Why are you moving me? Are you in pain? Did I hurt you?"

"No, love. It's just–" Klaus sighed out in frustration. "It's okay."

Drunk Evelyn was so clingy and touchy.

Now, she was playing with the ends of his hair, and Klaus noticed the way she was staring at him. It felt different this time. Like she was admiring him?

This was the only opportunity Klaus would ever get to have Evelyn's attention on him. And he knew it was selfish of him taking it.

Evelyn then laid her head against his shoulder, fiddling with his necklace as he rested his back against the headboard, holding her whilst rubbing her back. She moved his hair back, running her hand through his curls. "Nik?"

"Mhm?"

"Did you really mean it when you said I was beautiful?" She asked.

"You're perfect, my love."

A couple minutes passed by when he heard a sniffle from her. "I don't think I am," she mumbled.

Klaus frowned, tilting her chin to make her look at him. "Why?"

Evelyn cried softly, shrugging, "I haven't felt beautiful in a long time," she said. "I don't even know who I am anymore. I don't see myself."

"I see you," he softly spoke.

"Nope. You don't," she shook her head. "Nobody does," she sniffled.

"Look at me, love," Klaus said, but Evelyn shook her head, sobbing quietly.

"What makes you say that, love? Anyone would notice you. I do."

"Really?"

"Yes," he nodded, wiping the tears away from her eyes. "Don't waste your tears on those who don't believe that."

Evelyn cupped Klaus' face, her thumbs caressing his cheek, and the next thing he wasn't prepared for was Evelyn nuzzling her nose against his then resting her forehead on his.

Klaus for a second just allowed himself to take in this moment even if Evelyn would never mean to do that.

"You have really pretty eyes, has anyone told you that?" Evelyn asked.

Klaus chuckled, "No. They haven't."

"You remind me so much of him," she mumbled as she trailed a finger down his face, tracing his lips with her finger.

"Who?"

"I'm so tired." She closed her eyes.

Before Klaus could ask any further, Evelyn buried her face in his neck and he heard a soft sigh escape her lips. When he felt her fall asleep, he tried to get up and move her back to her room, but she rested her body on top of his, her head on his chest and her arms wrapping around him.

A soft jump landed on his chest too and Klaus looked down to see Niko getting comfortable himself as he laid his head against Evelyn's.

"Not you," he said, carefully lifting Niko up and placing him down on the floor with a pillow for him to sleep on instead. "I hate you so much," he whispered to the bunny.

Klaus wrapped his arms around Evelyn. And as much as he wanted to hold Evelyn for the rest of the night, he knew he would eventually have to move her back to her room.

But, for the first time in a thousand years Klaus Mikaelson had lived. He finally fell asleep peacefully with his soulmate in his arms.

A couple hours ago

Her eyes wandered around her surroundings she walked in. Quiet. Just how she liked it. She blended in with the shadows, just how she was usually perceived as to be, a nightmare.

She leant against the wall, plucking out one of the addiction from it's box, and placing the end of it between her lips as she lit it up, inhaling the tobacco in her lungs then let it blow out in the air, watching as it faded away above her.

The sound of a feminine laughter caught her attention, watching from the corner as the girl, intoxicated and full of energy, was wrapped in the arms of the man who was smiling down at her.

She rolled her eyes at that. Lovesick fools.

A buzz vibrated against her body as she pulled out her phone, pressing it to her ear. "Found her."

"Good. I'll be there tomorrow."

"He's found her too." She watched as the couple disappeared into the corner.

"The Hybrid?"

"Mhm. He's always with her." She heard a sigh of annoyance from the other side.

"We need to get her alone."

"I've got it."

"Just don't do anything stupid, okay? I'll be there as soon as I can."

"Whatever." She hung up the call.

With one final drag, she threw the cigarette on the floor and pressed on to it with the heel of her black boots before making her ways towards the direction they had left. She glanced up at the sign in front of her, taking a step inside the building, as she approached the front desk.

"Room for one," she answered the woman's question, fingers impatiently tapping on the wooden surface, and head constantly turning around to glance at her surroundings.

"Can I have your name, please?"

"Valentina Diaz."

Happy Black History Month!!

Can't believe I've finally updated after 4 months and now I can finally breathe. It's not my best chapter though but I hope you all enjoyed it.

I decided to be mean and not give you a full smut scene even if it's Evelyn's dream because i'm that bitch that wants you all to suffer until it really happens haha.

Anyways the main plot is slowly starting and introducing Valentina who's faceclaim is Ana De Armas. Check the extended cast / my oc's chapter to see how she looks.

But a warning for you all that Valentina will come across as a shady, quiet, grumpy character and not many might like her at first. She's a morally grey character.

Hope you all have/had a great day.
Love you horny bitches <3
