Flashback - Evelyn's dream
She let her eyes wander the dark room, even the sound of silence had a calm feeling that had been radiating around her. It was like a place out of time, an odd feeling of sanctuary. A way to relax and forget what the real world was painfully offering to her.
She sensed him, sitting opposite her, his eyes gazing deeply into her soul as though he was reading her.
Her mysterious man.
"My love," he called her back to him.
It was Evelyn's third time meeting him and since the flame had cast an orange glow over some of his features while the rest remained in the dark, she still couldn't see his face just his blue eyes like the colour of the midwinter sky,
They were so beautiful.
"Are you ever going to tell me your name?" She asked.
He chuckled, a deep, husky one that placed a warm feeling in Evelyn. "I asked you a question first," he playfully remarked.
"Now tell me, what do you truly desire?" He murmured, his eyes darkening as he stared at the flickering light of the candle.
"Ice cream," she teased. "Wait, can I even eat in my dreams?"
He laughed, making Evelyn sink down in her seat, blushing and embarrassed of what she had just said.
After a moment, she sighed, "I don't think I'll ever get what I really want," she whispered to herself but he had caught what she said.
"And what is that, my love?"
"What it feels like to be truly happy. Peace," she mumbled.
"You'll find it," he reassured her and Evelyn laughed, shaking her head at his words.
It was impossible for her to find happiness.
She could feel him moving closer to her, his thumb tenderly stroking her cheek and she leaned further into his touch, biting on her lower lip.
He returned his attention from her lips back to her eyes again. "I answered your question now you answer mine," she demanded.
"So impatient," he murmured, a smirk on his lips.
She gasped when he grabbed her hand, lifting it to his lips to kiss her palm. "All in good time, love," she shuddered as he whispered, the heat of his breath skimming over her skin.
"Just know that I intend to give you what you want," he promised.
Evelyn frowned, shaking her head at the absurdity from his words. "You're not real."
"This is just part of my imagination. Stop!" She stressed out and pulled back away from him. "I need to get out," she murmured, trying to find a way to leave but it was rather too dark for her around.
She felt his hand on hers, tugging her back to him and she gasped, trying to keep herself steady but he had already placed his hand on her lower back and the other resting on her hip, keeping her close to him.
"For now." When he looked at her, she sensed a darkness in his eyes that threatened to consume her.
Yet at the same time his darkness complimented her innocence.

Elena woke up slowly, groaning and rubbing the back of her neck from the pain she had endured after the masked man had attacked her.
She frowned upon seeing that she was not at home but rather sitting on a sofa in an odd room with blacked-out walls. She started looking around, panic rising in her as memories of last night flooded back in her mind.
Where was Evelyn?
As she attempted to rise, a creak in the hall signalled the entrance of a man wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses with her unconscious sister in his arms, her hands and feet bound.
The man set Evelyn down on the opposite end of the couch and stared at her, taking his time to brush her curls back from her face. She was a beauty. Then his gaze was fixated on her pulsating neck, the temptation to taste her blood.
"Please don't hurt my sister," Elena pleaded.
"I won't," he murmured. "Just a taste," he tipped her head to the side and Elena gasped when his fangs bared out, ready to bite her.
"No, don't!" She cried and moved towards them, but suddenly another vampire appeared.
"Trevor! Control yourself!" The woman snapped, her tone was of a British accent.
Trevor removed himself from Evelyn's side. "Buzzkill," he muttered and left.
Evelyn stirred slightly and Elena moved to check on her. "Eve?" Elena whispered, reaching out to help her.
"What the hell?!" Evelyn jumped up to see the stranger standing inches away from her. "Elena?" She called, frantically glancing around her surroundings.
"I'm here," Elena made Evelyn face her. "It's okay, i'm here." Evelyn sighed in relief, shifting closer to Elena.
Elena wrapped an arm around Evelyn, comforting her and they looked up at the vampire still present with them in the room.
"What do you want with us?" Elena asked the woman.
The vampire looked at her, "My God, you look just like her."
"But i'm not. So, please whatever you wantβ"
"Be quiet," she snapped.
"But I'm not Katherine. My name is Elena Gilbert and this is my sister Evelyn. You don't have to do this," Elena pleaded as she rose up from her seat.
"I know who you are, I said be quiet," she warned Elena.
Evelyn frowned, glancing up at Elena and the furious look in the vampire's eyes, "Elenaβ" she spoke warily, asking her to sit down before something happened.
"What do you wantβ" Elena asked and the vampire slapped her, knocking her back onto the couch, unconscious.
"I want you to be quiet," she turned from Elena to Evelyn who gasped in shock, trying to move to check up on Elena but her hands and feet were still tied up.
Evelyn blinked in fear when the woman stepped forward. "Please," she pleaded, scared for her life.
The vampire then noticed that she was still tied and moved to her. Evelyn curled away, eyeing her.
"I'm not going to hurt you unless you don't listen to me. Okay?" Evelyn nodded and held still while her captor freed her wrists.
She bit her lip as she watched the woman leave and moved to check on Elena, placing her head on her lap and gently caressed her hair.
ββββββββββ
Continuing to caress Elena's hair, who was still unconscious, Evelyn looked up to see the woman had entered the room again. "Excuse me?" She softy spoke.
"What?" The woman turned around to face her.
"What's your name?" Evelyn asked and the woman furrowed her brows in confusion but decided to answer her.
"Rose."
"That's a beautiful name," Evelyn said and Rose blinked, finding it rather odd that this young girl in front of her seemed calm in a kidnapping situation.
"I'm Evelyn," she said. "But you already knew that before you slapped my sister which was very not nice of you to do by the way. She has sensitive skin and the bruise is going to take some time to heal now," Evelyn continued to ramble.
"Quiet!" Rose snapped and Evelyn slightly flinched.
"Sorry. I take back what I said," she quickly said and gave Rose a sheepish smile.
Rose shook her head, walking away when Evelyn called her again. "Umβ i'm actually very hungry," she whispered and Rose turned back to look at her. Evelyn was nervously looking down, playing with Elena's hair.
Rose sighed and left the room to return back a couple of seconds, handing Evelyn a bar of chocolate. "Thank you," Evelyn took it off her.
"Do you have ice cream?" She asked.
Rose raised a brow and shook her head, "No."
"Oh," Evelyn pouted slightly. "But thank you for the chocolate," she said, opening the packet and eating it.
Trevor walked into the room, his eyes intently fixed on Evelyn. She looked so familiar.
Evelyn noticed a pair of eyes on her and tilted her head to find Trevor staring at her. "Is there something on my face?" She asked.
"No," he said and Evelyn nodded, turning her body away from him so he could stop staring at her.
"Creep," she mumbled under her breath.
"Why do you keep staring at her like that?" Rose whispered to Trevor and he led her out of the room.
ββββββββββ
"She looks so familiar," Trevor said.
"Did Katherine have a twin sister?" Rose inquired. "I mean those two over there are twins so maybe Katherine had one too. Is she another doppelgΓ€nger?"
"No," he shook his head. "I remember seeing her somewhere else," he murmured.
"What?" Rose asked.
"She looks like the girl from the painting," he said.
"What paintings?"
"The one he has been searching for a 1000 years, his Queen," Trevor said.
Rose scoffed at that, "She was just a made up story." She shook her head. "How is he capable of loving someone or even be loved?"
Trevor shrugged, "I thought she just looked like her."
"Did you call him?" He then asked.
"No, I called one of his contacts. You know how this works," she reminded him.
"Did you or did you not get the message to Elijah?" He asked impatiently.
Elena had then woke up and sat up next to Evelyn, trying to listen in to the conversation. "Chocolate?" Evelyn offered.
Elena raised an eyebrow, "Where did you get that?"
"Rose gave it to me," Evelyn continued to eat the chocolate.
"Rose?"
"The one who slapped you," Evelyn whispered. "How do you feel by the way?" She touched the side of Elena's face, who winced a little.
"You should be quiet like me or you won't get food," Evelyn scolded and Elena rolled her eyes.
"I'm fine," Elena dismissed it.
She took hold of Evelyn's wrist tugging her towards the stairs that led to the upper floors. "Where are we going?" Evelyn asked.
"Shh," Elena told her and Evelyn nodded with a shrug.
"They say he got it," Rose said.
"Wonderful. And what?"
"So that's it, Trevor. He either got it or he didn't. We just have to wait."
"Look, it's not too late. We can leave them here. We don't have to go through with this," Trevor told her.
"I'm sick of running," Rose sighed.
"Yeah? Well running keeps us from dying," Trevor snapped.
"Elijah is old school. If he accepts our deal, we're free," she shrugged.
The Gilbert sisters both took a step, but the floor creaked. "You two!" Rose snapped and blocked them from the steps.
"There is nothing around here for miles. If either of you think you're getting out of this house, you're tragically wrong understand?"
Evelyn nodded nervously, but Elena frowned at the mention of a name she heard earlier. "Who's Elijah?"
"He's your worst nightmare," Rose said.
A shiver cross through Evelyn's spine remembering something and hoping that it wasn't the man from her dream. The one who had vampire features and werewolf eyes.
It was one of the many ones that she had been having for quite a long time. Some were good, others were bad.
ββββββββββ
"Alaric just left with Jenna," Bonnie told Jeremy while he was searching for something on his phone.
"He's getting her out of the house for a while so she doesn't ask questions about EJ and Elena. Look. I pulled this up based on that spot on the map," Jeremy told her and showed her his phone. "There's nothing for miles except for this old house."
"Did you send it to Stefan?" Bonnie asked him.
"Yeah. I hate sitting here, waiting like this," Jeremy sighed.
"Hey, your sisters are gonna be fine," Bonnie assured Jeremy.
"You don't know that," Jeremy shook his head. "EJ has a lot of fears especially since the accident and her panic attacks are worse than it was before mom and dad left."
Bonnie gave him a look of sympathy, "I'm sorry."
"It's okay. I just want to protect her from all this but I can't," he mumbled and Bonnie rubbed his back.
She moved and looked through her bag, taking the grimoire out and sat back down. "What are you doing?" Jeremy asked her.
"There's something else I want to try," Bonnie said to him.
"I don't get it," Jeremy said, still confused.
"I need a candle. Grab Eve's or Elena's hairbrush," Bonnie said.
"Okay, yeah." Jeremy said while Bonnie took a paper and then wrote something on it, and he came back with Evelyn's hairbrush and a candle. "What's all this stuff for?"
"I know it's crazy but I might be able to get them a message," Bonnie said while she crumpled a paper and took it in her hand. She put her hand above the candle and opened it then closed her eyes to cast a spell while her nose started to bleed.
"Bonnie? Bonnie!" Jeremy called her while the paper was burning and he tried to stop her but she kept going and then the paper disappeared. "Bonnie!" He shouted and she blacked out.

Evelyn and Elena followed Rose as she went into a room, turning on lamps and covering the windows.
"You need to stop asking them for chocolates," Elena whispered to Evelyn.
"Here," Evelyn ignored her and fed a piece of the chocolate to Elena.
Elena rolled her eyes and turned back to face Rose. "Why are we here?" She asked for the umpteenth time.
Evelyn kept glancing around her, suddenly feeling agitated. Elena noticed this and intertwined her fingers with Evelyn, rubbing the back of her hand to help calm her nerves. They glanced at each other and Elena gave her a soft smile in reassurance.
"You keep asking me these questions like I'm gonna answer them," Rose rolled her eyes.
"Why won't you?" Elena asked again.
"That's another one," Rose said as she moved around the room.
"You have us, okay? It's not like we can go anywhere. The least you can do is tell me what you want with us," Elena demanded.
"Elena." Evelyn tugged on her hand to silence her and stop asking questions but Elena waved it off.
"I personally want nothing," Rose told her. "I'm just a delivery service," she glanced over to Evelyn. "If we hadn't seen youβ we would have left you alone."
"Oh. Thanks. I guess?" Evelyn drawled out.
"Delivery to who? Elijah?" Elena questioned.
"Two points to the eavesdropper," Rose smirked.
"Whoβ who is he? Is he a vampire?" Evelyn asked, now curious herself.
"He's one of the vampires, the Originals," Rose replied to her.
"What do you mean the Originals?" Elena asked.
"Again with the questions. Haven't the Salvatore's been teaching you your vampire history?"
"You know Damon and Stefan?" Evelyn asked.
"I know of them," Rose corrected. "A hundred years back, a friend of mine tried to set me up with Stefan."
"Oh my God, Lexi?!" Evelyn beamed. "I miss her so much." The smile was now replaced with a sigh filled with sadness.
She glanced over to Elena and Rose looking at her and gave them a tight lipped smile. "I got carried away again, sorry. Carry on please."
"She said he was one of the good ones. I'm more of a sucker for the bad boys though but I digress," Rose continued.
"Then Damon is the one," Evelyn piped in and Elena sent her a glare. "What? He is a bad boy." She shrugged and Rose smiled in amusement.
"Who are the Originals?" Elena spoke this time, changing the subject but Rose dodged the question.
Closing the book, she turned to face them. "Trevor and I have been running for 500 years. We're tired, we want it over. We're using you, Elena, to negotiate ourselves out of an old mess." Rose explained.
"But why Elena?" Evelyn frowned.
"Because she's a Petrova doppelgΓ€nger. She's the key to breaking the curse," Rose said.
"The curse?" Elena repeated. "The Sun and the Moon curse?" She asked.
"Oh, you do know your history," Rose scoffed sarcastically.
"What do you mean I'm the key? The moonstone is what breaks the curse," Elena said.
Rose shook her head. "No. The moonstone is what binds the curse. The sacrifice is what breaks it."
"Sacrifice?" Evelyn gasped, feeling terrified. "What sacrifice?"
"The blood of the doppelgΓ€nger. Elena is the doppelgΓ€nger. Which means in order to break the curse, you're the one who has to die," Rose said and the sisters eyes widened.
Evelyn began to play with her fingers nervously and Elena spoke. "Tell us more."
"Please," Evelyn added with a soft tone and Rose sent her a small smile.
"Captivity has made her pushy, eh?" Trevor smirked, hearing Elena. "What do you want to know doppelicious?"
"Who are you running from?" Elena asked.
"The Originals," he answered as his eyes kept flickering back to Evelyn every now and then, curious and trying to figure out the question that refused to leave his mind.
"Yeah, she said that. What does it mean?"
"The first family. The old world. Rose and I pissed 'em off," Trevor explained and Rose sent him a look. "Correction, I pissed them off. Rose had my back and for over half a millennium, they've wanted us dead."
"Why?" Evelyn asked. "What did you do?"
"He made the same mistake countless others did. He trusted Katerina Petrova," Rose answered.
"Kit Kat?" Evelyn asked and they sent her a confused look.
"Katherine," Elena corrected.
"The one and only, the first Petrova doppelganger."
"I helped her escape her fate. And I'veβ sorry, we've been marked ever since," Trevor told them, adding Rose in.
"You're a terrible friend," Evelyn mumbled as she gave Trevor a quick glance.
"Which is why we are not going to make the same mistake again," Rose told them before leaving with Trevor.
Evelyn eyed him as he walked past her. "He keeps staring at me," she told Elena.
"Ignore him," Elena dismissed it.
"But he keeps giving me this look, like he's thinking about something," Evelyn murmured.
They walked back into the room they had woken up in and sat down on the couch.
"How many do you think they are of them?" Evelyn asked.
"Of what?" Elena asked.
"The Originals," she replied back. "They sound like royalty."
"They sound dangerous," Elena pointed out.
She began to fidget and Evelyn took notice of it. "What's wrong?"
"I don't know." She picked up a piece of paper from the couch and opened it, reading it and smiling before handing it to Evelyn.
She took it and a smile also spread across her face too.

Rose was shoving things into a bag when Evelyn glanced up at her.
She tilted her head and then whispered in Elena's ear, "She looks like Alice Cullen or does Alice look like her?" She mused. "Oh well, they look like each other."
Elena signalled her to be quiet and Evelyn nodded quickly, mumbling an apology.
Trevor ran into the room. "He's here!"
Evelyn and Elena shared a nervous look. "This was a mistake," he said.
"No, I told you I would get us out of this. You have to trust me," Rose told him.
"No! He wants me dead, Rose!" Trevor panicked.
"He wants them more," she pointed to Evelyn and Elena.
"I can't do this! You give them to him, he'll have mercy on you, but I need to get out of here."
Rose took his arms and turned him to face her. "Hey! What are we?" She asked him, trying to calm him down.
"We're family. Forever," Trevor murmured.
A knock came from the door above and both of the vampires froze. "You're afraid," Evelyn took notice of them and frowned when she felt uneasy with herself again.
Rose sighed. "Stay here with them and don't make a sound," she told him and disappeared.
For a few tense moments there was silence and then footsteps approached, standing at the top of the stairs. Evelyn and Elena looked up to see a handsome man in a suit. He stared at Elena, not noticing Evelyn yet.
Elena was trying not to shake in fear as he zoomed over to her and leaned down to sniff her. "Human. It's impossible," he mumbled and then smiled at Elena. "Hello there."
"Stop sniffing my sister!" Evelyn blurted out, her eyes quickly widening and covered a hand over her mouth. "Shit," she mumbled.
"Who isβ" Elijah turned and paused, seeing Evelyn for the first time as she played with her fingers and quietly and repeatedly cursed herself.
His eyes widened, taking in what he was actually seeing. "It really is you," he whispered.

Late 1800s - New Orleans
Elijah entered Klaus' art studio in their home to find him drawing yet again of the beautiful woman that had invaded his brother's mind and heart.
"I must say brother, she is quite the beauty," Elijah mused with a smile on his face.
The woman held a pure and innocent demeanour. There was kindness in her smile, and her eyes had a gentleness to it with a hint of mischief in them.
But she looked like a goddess.
"And she's mine," Klaus scowled making Elijah chuckle.
"Not if I find her first," Kol, their younger brother strode into the room with a smirk plastered on his face and Klaus turned to glare at him.
"Do you want to be put back in a box?" He threatened and Kol raised his hands up in surrender, laughing.
"She's all yours," he said and Klaus turned back to his painting. "But have you even found her yet?"
"No," Klaus sighed.
"Perhaps she's only a figment of your imagination," Elijah voiced out.
"No. She's real!" Klaus raised his voice.
It had been nearly 900 years and still no appearance of her in the real world. Yet to his siblings shock, he was patient when it came around her and Klaus was never a patient man.
"There's so many other people around us who are in line to get your attention, but instead she manages to allure you and she's not even here." Kol threw his hands in the air dramatically as he laid down on the couch.
"How could you possibly believe she is waiting for you?" Elijah asked and Klaus glanced over at the canvas.
"I just know," he shrugged.
"Why are you making this hard for me, my little dove," he muttered under his breath and his brothers smiled with amusement.
"He's completely enamoured with her." Kol teased.
ββββββββββ
"Hey." The soft voice broke Elijah out his own thoughts and Evelyn awkwardly waved whilst rocking back and forth on her feet.
Now that she had seen the man in front of her, he didn't seem as frightening as Rose described him to be.
"Hello." His eyes glistened with surprise as he nodded at her. He gently took her hand in his, offering his own to her in a gentlemanly way. "And, what is your name, sweetheart?"
"Evelyn," she gulped and nodded at him. "You have soft hands," she nervously laughed. "I'm sorry. Ignore what I said."
Evelyn glanced over her shoulder to look at Elena. 'Sorry' Evelyn mouthed but Elena understood she would act like this when she was anxious.
"He will be thrilled," Elijah murmured ever so quietly, his plans now changing when he now met Evelyn.
There was a pureness, a light in those sweet eyes. She was indeed beautiful, even more in person. He was enthralled by her mere presence and believed his brother would feel the same, if not more, if he were here.
"Do not be afraid. I won't harm you," he noticed her shaking and she slowly nodded, unexpectedly believing the man wasn't lying.
Evelyn suddenly gasped when an image appeared in her mind as a result of his touch, and she was unable to control what she saw. She closed her eyes shut tightly and saw visions of people running around in a wooded forest.
Then another was of two people. Was it Elijah and someone else? A woman? However, the expressions were hazy and she couldn't decipher it.
"Ow." She let go of him and clenched her fists around her head. Elena took a step forward but Elijah used his speed and caught her in his arms immediately.
"Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes filled with worry and concern.
She looked up, not knowing what to say at what she saw. "Um, yβ yeah," she nodded and hugged herself, shivering, since she was still in her dress.
"You're cold." He noticed and took off his jacket, placing it around her.
"Thank you," she whispered.
"Well, we have a long journey ahead of us. We should be going," Elijah murmured to the sisters. Evelyn held onto Elena's hand, hugging each other, now fearing for their lives.
"Please," Elena begged. "Don't let him take us."
Rose looked away from Evelyn's pleading, soft eyes.
"One last piece of business. Then we're done." Elijah turned to face Trevor who was trembling slightly.
"I've waited so long for this day, Elijah," he said as the Original walked towards him. "I'm truly very sorry."
"Oh, no. Your apology's not necessary."
"Yes. Yes it is. You trusted me with Katerina and I failed you."
"Oh, yes, you are the guilty one and Rose aided you because she was loyal to you. That, I honour." He faced Trevor. "Where was your loyalty?"
"I beg your forgiveness."
"So granted," he murmured and Trevor smiled in relief.
Quicker than a blink of an eye, Elijah smacked Trevor's head clean off his shoulders. Rose gasped and Evelyn shrieked, hiding her face behind Elena's shoulder who held onto her tighter and grimaced herself.
"Youβ" Rose began, but Elijah cut her off.
"Don't, Rose. Now that you are free."
He turned to the girls. "I apologise for that." His eyes softening when he saw the tears brimming in Evelyn's eyes, her form shaking.
"What about the moonstone?!" Elena blurted out.
"Elena," Evelyn hissed quietly and Elena gave her hand a tug to reassure her what she was doing.
Elijah paused, glaring at Elena. "What do you know about the moonstone?"
"My sister and I know that you need it and we know where it is," Elena said.
"Yes," he nodded, urging for her to carry on.
"And we can help you get it," she said.
"Tell me where it is," Elijah demanded.
"It doesn't work that way." Elena shook her head.
Evelyn mentally cursed her for challenging this man who could potentially chop their heads off like Trevor's.
"Are you negotiating with me?" He smirked and turned to Rose.
"It's the first I've heard of it," she retorted.
Elijah turned back around and eyed Elena. "What is this vervain doing around your neck?" He harshly ripped off her vervain necklace.
"No!" Evelyn moved between them, facing Elijah. "Please, don't hurt my sister." She took off her bracelet off that was laced with vervain and tossed it away. "I promise to tell the truth. Don't hurt her."
Elijah looked at her. Her eyes were full of fear but also truthfulness. "Very well," he nodded. "Where is the moonstone?"
"In a tomb, underneath the church ruins," Evelyn answered.
"What's it doing there?"
"It's with Kitβ I mean Katherine," she shook her head at herself.
For a brief moment, he was deafeningly quiet. She didn't lie and her courage for taking off her vervain bracelet and standing up for her sister proved how very exceptional this girl was.
"Please don't chop my head off like Trevor's," Evelyn pleaded, her doe eyes begging him.
"I won't," he smiled at her. "Thank you for telling me the truth."
"You're welcome," Evelyn told him then turned to Elena. "Come on, Elena. We can go now," she extended her hand to Elena and Elijah raised a brow at her, confused at what she was doing.
"Where do you think you're going?" He asked.
"I thought we could go since I told you the truth," Evelyn told him.
"You aren't going away," Elijah shook his head.
Her eyes turned into a glare as she stared up at him. "That's very rude of you, mister," she scolded him. "I told you the truth!"
"Evelyn," Elena whispered to her sister to be quiet.
Now Elena mentally cursed Evelyn for standing up to this man who could chop their heads off like Trevor's within seconds.
"Take your ugly jacket back." Evelyn stepped forward, taking off his jacket and shoved it against his chest. Elijah glanced down at her hand then back at her with an amused smile.
Oh how much of a surprise Klaus would receive when he meets her.
The sound of glass breaking down stairs, caught their attention. "What is that? Who else is in this house?" Elijah demanded to Rose.
She shook her head, her eyes widening. "I don't know."
Elijah held Evelyn's hand in a gentle grip and took her towards the stairs as they approached the front door and he looked around, keeping his grip on Evelyn.
Rose followed, holding Elena's arm. Something blurred by them and Elijah lightly pushed Evelyn towards Rose. Elena quickly hugged her close to her.
"Rose," Elijah warned as another blur went by.
"I don't know who it is," Rose said truthfully.
"Up here," Stefan's voice came from up the stairs.
"Stefano is here," Evelyn whispered to Elena with a beaming smile.
"Down here." Damon's voice called teasingly from nearby and Evelyn hid the smile when Elijah turned to look at her.
Elijah looked down to see a mini stake stuck in his hand. He pulled it out and tossed it aside. When he looked up, Evelyn, Elena and Rose were gone.
Damon pressed a finger against Evelyn's lips to keep her from speaking and kept a steady hand on Rose's arm to keep her from running off.
"Excuse me," Elijah called out. "To whom it may concern, you're making a great mistake if you think that you can beat me. You can't. You hear that?" He pulled a wooded coat rack out near him.
"I repeat." They heard the sound of something breaking. "You cannot beat me. So I want the girls. On the count to three or heads will roll. Do we understand each other?"
"I'll come with you," Elena called out. "Just please don't hurt my friends, they just wanted to help me out." Damon shook his head at Evelyn when she tried to make a move.
Elijah was slightly disappointed when Evelyn hadn't came out.
He vamp sped up the stairs to face Elena. "What game are you playing with me?"
Elena removed a hidden vervain grenade from behind her back, pulling the pin out and throwing it at Elijah. It exploded when it touched him and he cried out when it burnt his face. Growling, he started towards Elena, who huddled against the wall. Before he could reach her, Stefan jumped out and began shooting him with wooden bullets from the compressed air crossbow that Alaric had let him borrow. Elijah didn't look fazed and so Stefan just tackled him down the steps.
Damon let go of Evelyn and she took his arm. 'Be careful,' she mouthed and he pressed a light kiss to her forehead before zooming off.
He jumped out when he saw Elijah standing over Stefan and grabbed the makeshift weapon that Elijah had made from the coat rack and stabbed him, moving him back against the door, pinning him there. Elijah gasped and turned grey slowly, before going limp.
Rose came out to see Elijah dead and Damon took a step towards her but she immediately left.
"Just let her go," Elena called out and Stefan got up from the floor, hugging her.
"Damon!" Evelyn ran to him and he quickly wrapped his arms around her, hugging her tightly against him.
"Did any of them hurt you?" Damon asked, taking her face in his hands and checking for any injuries.
"No, I'm okay. I just want to go home. I'm so tired," Evelyn sighed, leaning further into his touch when he kept her close to him.
"Me too," Elena agreed.
"And i'm hungry too. I want a burger and pizza and mac and cheese andβ" Evelyn listed.
Damon nodded, caressing her hair. "You can have all of that, and ice cream too," he smiled and she wrapped her arms around him again.
Evelyn's eyes met Elijah's dead body and felt a bit of sadness for him. Though he had been a dangerous vampire, she felt oddly comfortable around him.
"Umβ so has anyone seen my heels?" Evelyn looked around for them.
She squealed when Damon lifted her up into his arms. "Damon!" He sped out of the building and she laughed, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck.
ββββββββββ
"EJ? Elena?" Jeremy called out when he heard the front door closing. He got up and went to see if it was them. Bonnie rushed to the door as well and saw Elena going upstairs. She first ran and embraced her in a hug.
"Are you okay?" Jeremy asked his sister when Elena embraced him.
"We're okay." Elena nodded.
"Where's EJ?" Jeremy looked behind Elena.
Elena laughed, pointing downstairs. "Eating,"
Jeremy quickly ran downstairs and into the kitchen to find Evelyn unpacking the food and eating a slice of pizza, smiling to herself. "EJ," he sighed out in relief.
Evelyn turned around, now smiling at him, "Oh hi, it's been a crazy day. Me and Lena were kidnapped by this woman, Rose who looks like Alice Cullen, oh and then this guy called Elijah bitch slapped our other kidnapper, Trevor's head off which was cool but really gross but we're okay now and look how much food Damon got me," she casually spoke, pointing to the food on the table with excitement.
She stumbled back a little when Jeremy lifted her up slightly and embraced her in a tight hug. "I was so scared," he whispered in her ear while caressing her hair and repeatedly kissed the top of her head.
Evelyn found herself starting to tear up and held back in the tears when she looked up at him. "I'm okay, i'm not going to leave you. Ever," she promised him and he nodded.
"Did you getβ"
"No panic attacks. I'm fine, Jemmie. Don't worry," Evelyn reassured him.
"But I'm starving," she laughed and he chuckled, reaching out to take her burger.
"Hands off," Evelyn slapped his hand away.
"Come on!" Jeremy complained.
ββββββββββ
"Are you sure you don't want to eat anything else?" Jeremy followed Evelyn into her room. "More ice cream?"
Evelyn turned around and laughed, "I'm fine. Go to sleep."
"Are you sure?" He asked again.
"For the 100th time, i'm great and not hungry anymore. Now shoo," she gently pushed him back towards his room.
"Okay," he sighed, murmuring a 'good night' and kissing her cheek.
Evelyn leaned against the doorframe, watching him when he looked back, feeling skeptical. "Sleep," she giggled and he smiled, shutting the door to his bedroom and she did the same, leaning her head against it and blew out a breath.
She heard a buzz and glanced down at her phone to see Caroline calling her. "Hey."
"Oh my God! You're okay. Are you okay? I was so worried about you. I think i'm going to cry." Caroline rambled.
"Calm down. I'm fine. Please don't cry," Evelyn laughed.
"Okay," Caroline sighed and the two continued to talk.
Evelyn then walked over to the windows of her room, closing the curtains, and missing the figure that was staring up at her from outside.
She walked away, now tuning out Caroline's voice when she slowly turned back to the window and opened them slightly, peeking to look out.
I am feeling a lot paranoid lately for nothing. She shook her head.
"Eve?" Caroline called.
"Yeah?" Evelyn closed back the curtains and ignored the feeling, continuing to talk to Caroline.
As time passed by, Evelyn had ended her call with Caroline and entered the bathroom.
Humming a song to herself, she washed her face and patted her face dry with the towel as she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. "Ew," she grimaced.
Turning away, she paused and looked back at the mirror.
Suddenly jumping up in surprise when she noticed her eyes had flickered to a purple glow. She blinked again, only to be greeted by her original eye colour.
"What?" She leaned further so she got a closer look of herself in the mirror but nothing happened to her eyes.
"Yup. I am definitely going off the rails today," she mumbled as she made her way back to her bed.
She sat down, momentarily thinking back to Elijah and what had happened earlier.
The Original's. She wondered how many of them were.
Shrugging it off, she slipped under the covers as she used her right hand to turn off the lamp. The light had reflected on her palm, missing the sudden glow that had illuminated on her skin like a switch, on and off, and unbeknownst that her eyes once again flickered to a purple glow in the dark and closed them as soon as sleep took over her exhausted body.
Unaware that the beauty behind this gift was in fact the beginning of a chaotic life.
Hey horny hoes, how are you all?
So I want to change something and explain the reason why.
Evelyn and Elena are already 18 in this book because I feel more comfortable writing Evelyn as 18 before she meets Klaus. To make it sense, the twins were held back a year due to them having been homeschooled for a year because Evelyn had really extreme anxiety as a child (which will be explained later on in the book) and Elena would always stick by her sister for support. So when the birthday episode arrives, it will be their 19th birthday instead.
I hope you respect and understand this decision I made, if not and you're going to say some shit I advise you click off this book now because i'm not in the mood to argue with anyone in the comment section.
Sorry if I sound rude but I'm just really tired with certain people on this orange app.
stay safe and i love you!
