the holy mountain is as beautiful as it is terrifying. deep underneath the top lays a palace, made out of despair and darkness, locked beneath layer and layers of stone. It is the place were the fae came down to earth all those millenia ago. It was their place of punishment, the very symbol of their imprisonment.

Nowadays it's the only natural ground in all of the world, and the only place all high lords and ladies can meet without a fight breaking out. The palace itself is cursed with magic older than fae themselves, rumoured to have been there long before the fae were cast down. The magic prevents fights of breaking out, no ruler can attack another ruler without consequences. No one would be brave enough to face those consequences. Magic has a cruel way of taking what it is owed, death isn't the worst way to suffer.

The holy mountain is usually a quiet place, the door only opened by the blood of a ruler of a court. Now the usually quiet hall are filled with whispers and gossip. The courts have settled down deep inside the mountain. Every court has it own domain suited to fit the preferences of it's ruler. The courts are separated from each other, only able to contact each other through the gigantic hall that lies in the heart of the mountain. It's like even the mountain knows to keep them separated. The only other connections are the small halls meant for servants, occupied by only humans. Even the most ambitious fae would not dare set foot in those halls, there is no greater shame than to be compared to humans.

Seven doors end in gigantic hall in the heart of the mountain. Each door leads to another domain. Many have spilled from the doors, members of each court filling the hall. Their voices fill the infinite space, whispers of schemes, soft laughs and muttered threats spin around in their own twisted version of music.

The hall was gigantic, the roof was so high that it was hidden in shadows, or maybe the shadows were a remain of the old magic that still filled the whole mountain. Every fae could feel it. The tingling in the air, the magic in their blood, it was alive like it had never before.

Gold covered everything, from the doors to the 7 thrones of the high lords and ladies to the marble floor. Everything was made of pure gold. The mountain itself was worth more than all of the earth, yet none would dare to steal a piece of it, as the magic of the mountain would take back what it's owed ten times harder. gold was the only colour that wasn't assigned to any court, none of them were supposed to be worth the purity of gold.

Magic filled the air, as did music. Magical violins, pianos and flutes were enchanted to play the music so beautiful it could bring one to tears. Fae dressed in the most magical of clothes, dresses sparkling in the candle light, suits adorned with diamond, everything in the colour of their own court of course. Laugher and whispers filled the air. Fae were mingling with other courts, something that rarely happened, especially with enemy courts.

If one looked over the beauty and magic from the whole spectacle, they could have notice an other less visible group. The humans. Hidden in darkness they stood, making sure nothing was missing from the ball. Serving the fae, bowing their head and hoping desperately that they won't end up being the amusement for the night.

A few pair of eyes watch it all with amusement. All the fear, the mind games everything is watched from above, from the seven thrones that stand in a half circle on a podium at the end of the hall, no one dares to even set step on the podium without permission of one of the high lords sitting. Their high generals are either close by, guarding their ruler or keeping eyes on the hall, making sure there is not any threat. Only a few high lords have arrived yet. The high lord of winter, night and the high lady of the dawn court have yet to appear.

Tension hangs heavy in the air, despite all the festivities. Everyone with even a little magic in their blood can feel it, the darkness. It's just out of reach, but close enough to feel, like a thousand eyes in your back. That very darkness is why so many fae have crowed in the magical hall this very night.

It's the first night in 5000 years that all the courts have been called for a meeting. The high lord of the night court was the one to call the meeting, being the very first to feel the darkness hidden underneath the surface. The 7 rulers of earth have decided to meet underneath their holy mountain to come up with a solution for this inconvenience. The first night of their meeting is celebrated with a ball in the honour of the 7 rulers, and that is exactly why every living creature underneath the mountain is here in the hall.

The meeting can start later, this night it's time for some fun. Lets just hope that the night doesn't end in bloodshed. For the 7 rulers are not know for their peaceful nature and a hall filled with the most ambitious high fae might be the perfect place for some chaos.

Ahhh I'm so excited we are finally starting! This chapter won't get too deep into the plot yet, but somethings that happen in this chapter will be very important for the next few chapters. And of course, there will be some hints on what is to come. Moreover, this chapter is mainly meant for all OCs to interact, to have fun and make a base for the coming chapters. All OCs are currently in this ballroom, either partying, scheming or serving. Feel free to let them interact with each other as you wish.

Your oc can leave the hall, but they might get into trouble if their high lady/lord notices. Try to keep the role of your oc in mind. I will make a main chain which means there won't be any side chains until I say so. I also recommend you trying to let your oc react on what is happening around them, so if a high lord enters, have them bow to them. If a fight breaks out, let them react. This will help to keep the rp going.

Last but not least, I am still keeping the roles open, so if you have a really good idea for an oc, feel free to ask for another role. Everyone is welcome, including those who haven't joined yet
