( Hatori POV ) chapter 1

"Miyuki! Wait up." I was trying to catch up to her as fast as I could, but my feet weren't on the ground anymore. I kept kicking them back in forth trying to catch up, but it was then when I knew I might die. I looked around and saw that I was underwater but I couldn't even breathe anymore. I kept getting sucked in more and more and I tried reaching up to the surface but I was already too deep in...

-15 years later-

"Hatori come on we'll be late for school if you don't get up soon." Emi let out a sigh as I giggled and hid under the blankets. "Come on hehe its no time to play around." She pulled the blankets off me. "Nuuu!" "Yes you better hurry and get ready." She smiled and swam up to the surface. "She's silly." I put on my school uniform and swam up to the surface. "Let's hurry." "Okay." Emi was one of my friends, my closest friend actually and she went to the same highschool as me.

Once we got to school we went to class and sat at our desks. "I'm really nervous emi this is our first time going to school and not being in water.." Emi smiled. "Don't worry alright. I'm here with you and I'm nervous too, but don't worry so much, nothing bad will happen." "Okay." I smiled and looked around the room until I saw people coming in. "E-e-emi who are all these people >~<" "hehe there students don't worry nothing bad is going on." "Okay."

When class started me and emi had to introduce ourselves before we did any work. No one but me and Emi knew that we were from the sea.

"Awww don't leave ;--;" "I have a different class don't worry I'll see you at lunch okay?" She smiled before she walked to her class. "Now im lonely ;--;" I walked to my next and saw there was only one person in there. I didn't know what to do so I sat at a random desk and waited. I looked over at the boy and he wasn't really doing anything but listening to music. People started coming in the room and class started.

The bell rang so fast I had no idea where I had to go next. I put my stuff in my bag about to leave until I almost tripped. But someone caught me. So I turned to look and see it was the boy I saw earlier. My cheeks were turning red so I quickly said thank you and ran out of the room. At lunch I finally got to see Emi again but she was talking to someone. She was so short I don't think she's in highschool o.o "Emi~" I sat next to her smiling. "Hi this is my new friend lilly." Lilly looked at me and smiled. "Hi its nice to meet you." "Nice to meet you too." I blushed and smiled back. "Hatori is a bit shy so maybe you guys should get to know each other." "Okay." Lilly sat next to me and started asking questions. She's really sweet and cute.

After school me and Emi had to hurry and walk home since our skin couldn't handle not being in water for so long. It was getting dark outside and I could see stars. "Wow.." "Um Hatori?" "Just go without me okay. I'll be behind you." I smiled. "Alright."
I stood there looking at the sky while walking to the sea. Once I got to the sea I was about ready to jump in until I saw someone standing there watching the stars. >.< it was him again...what should I do I can't let him find out the real me. "Why are you going to jump in? Your clothes will get wet and you'll be cold." "I-i um..I can't tell you."

"Why?" He looked at me with a confused look. "Because um...its a secret." "Um okay. What's your name?" "Hatori.. What about you?" I felt myself blushing again. "Chase." "Oh okay. Thank you for catching me today.." "No problem, and I'm guessing you like stars since I see you look at them a lot." "W-wait really? You've seen me before.." "yeah sometimes. I come here before I walk home." "O...oh. Yeah I do like them.." I looked at him smiling a bit. "Well I gotta go. I'll talk to you later, Hatori." He smiled before walking away and I waited until he left.

I jumped in the water and looked at the shining stars above the surface. Maybe..this world is not a bad and scary place..
