Chapter XX
Dabi was quick to notice the warp gate, not too far away. Only problem was his feet were stuck in the mud. Maybe if he got the girl to get her vines out of the ground, he'd be able to make it. But then he'd have the hit on him. Though he was struggling to even stay conscious as he stood there, eyes locked onto Dabi.
Unfortunately, it was too quick for Shimazaki to stop. Knowing that he would be slower, Dabi had suddenly shot fire at Tasaka but not at her specifically but her vines, the fire quickly spreading across the vegetation. Retracting her vines, that allowed Dabi to start running.
"No!" Shimazaki cried out, going to try and run after Dabi.
Unfortunately, he was too injured and the sudden rush only made things worse. He didn't make it too far before the full extent of his injuries hit him full force and he collapsed, the sudden pain too much for his body to handle.
"Shimazaki!" Tasaka cried out as she ran to his aid as Dabi escaped through the warp gate, it closing behind him.
He wasn't the only one to escape. Each villain in their zone managed to make it out. Hasumi had tried his best to stop Toga but his injuries made him weaker and she had easily got him off. As he ran after her, he stumbled and then the world went black.

"Deku, get the hell out of here! You're the reason they attacked!" Bakugou barked as he tried to fight off the Nomu on him. "They're after you!"
"We can handle this, bro! Just get out of here!" Kirishima added as he fought his own Nomu.
Deku only shook his head. He wouldn't run, even if he was faced with a gun. If they wanted him, they'd have to come get him. Then, a gunshot rang out, the bullet whizzing past his ear.
"I missed," Shigaraki grumbled taking aim but didn't shoot just yet.
"Shigaraki, remember to use them sparingly. We have a limited amount," Kurogiri says calmly, earning a scoff from the male.
"I have two more shots. I'll land one," Shigaraki hisses back as he kept aim but he gaze was on Kurogiri as he spoke.
So he only had three bullets. Alright, if Izuku could make sure when he shot he missed again, things would be fine. And even if he got shot, as long as is wasn't somewhere fatal, he would be fine. Or so he thought.
Seeing as he was distracted, Izuku took this time to attack, throwing a Detroit Smash towards Shigaraki. Unfortunately, Kurogiri noticed and used a warp gate to teleport behind the villain, much to Izuku's dismay. He was smart though and used the momentum to turn himself around and decided to try and get the gun out of Shigaraki's hand by using an old tactic of his.
Using his quirk and a flick of his finger to create air pressure, he aimed it at Shigaraki, the sudden burst of strong wind jolting him forward. But he kept a strong grip on the gun in hand. As Shigaraki turned and aimed, Izuku began to move around like Gran Torino had when he trained oh so many years ago. He couldn't leave an opening and he couldn't let himself get caught by one of Kurogiri's warp gates.
"You aren't going to win today, Symbol of Peace," Shigaraki said before he took aim where he Izuku would go next and pulled the trigger.
"I don't know what you have planned but I won't let you win!" Izuku shouts before he landed a punch, sending Shigaraki flying, skidding on the ground as he dropped the gun nearby.
As Kurogiri went to help, he felt himself suddenly pinned down. Glancing back, he was met with a battered and beat Bakugou, having him pinned by his only physical spot. He must have remembered where it was from last time.
"Tch, you guys actually thought you had a chance against us? You're even stupider than last time," Bakugou sneered. "Now, where are the students."
"Where were you when we invaded last time?" Kurogiri asked cryptically.
It took Bakugou a moment. At first, his anger quickly boiled over and he was ready to snap at the villain before realization hit him. The zones. They were all scattered. Izuku heard this and turned his attention to the different areas then to Bakugou.
"Kacchan, if you can keep Kurogiri at bay, I can go get the students. Kirishima, Uraraka, if you could help, that would be great! That way we-" Izuku was cut off as a gunshot rang out and he screamed in pain as a bullet struck his arm.
Izuku went wide eyed soon after and paled. This was bad. Very very bad. That was no ordinary bullet. It couldn't have been. After all.
Why couldn't Izuku feel his quirk anymore?
