Hyunjins birthday had arrived and the 8 of them had somehow managed to get the weekend off to spend it together.

Even though Jisung, Minho, Felix and him had to abort their "we organise something for Hyunjin" mission because of Chans break down, Felix and Jisung managed to come up with something.

This something was nothing else than going to an climbing park.

Chan wasn't sure as to why Jisung thought it was a good idea to go, because Jisung was extremely scared of heights. Probably to make Hyunjin happy, but Chan wasn't exactly sure, if Hyunjin would be happy, if he was to take care of a scared Jisung. Because, even though both were absolutely in love with each other, they had this love–hate relationship in which both of them would easily get annoyed by the other. Sometimes just as a joke, sometimes they really did, but neither of them took it too serious. It was something Chan admired. Having a relationship, but not being too serious about it.

"Hey Chan hyung, you wanna come? The others are waiting for us", Felix said and got him back to reality.

Chan had fallen a bit behind his friends, which were excitedly running towards the climbing park and hotel.

It was located in a small forest outside of Seoul. They had driven a far way to get there, but obviously had no regrets about it. The plan was to stay there over night, since the way was a bit too long to drive back at the same evening.

Changbin, Felix, Jeongin and Chan had been in one car and it had been a really loud ride. Most of the time they were just singing along the lyrics of a song that was playing.

"Chan hyung?", Felix asked again, this time a bit louder. "Oh sorry, got lost in my thoughts. I'm coming", Chan replied quickly and started walking towards the park. The others were now out of sight. Felix lightly hit him and shook his head before following him.

The others were waiting in front of the front door of the hotel for them.

"What took you so long? We want to go climbinggg", Hyunjin whined. "We all want to, but we do need to check in first or do you want to carry these bags the whole time?", Changbin said and pointed towards the bags all of them were carrying. Hyunjin rolled his eyes and started walking to the front door. After a few steps he turned around and said: "Will you come now?"

It had taken them some time to check in and get ready, but finally all of them were wearing their equipment and went through the lead-in.

"Let's go on something lower first to get into the right feeling", Chan suggested, knowing that Jisung wouldn't survive if they started on a higher level. Almost everybody agreed. Only Seungmin and Changbin looked a bit disappointed. "You guys are so lame", Seungmin said and Changbin nodded in agreement.

They just ignored them and Hyunjin pointed on his map. "How about this one? It's level 2, that's not too high and not too low." The others gathered up around him to take a look and then all agreed.

So they started walking, Hyunjin leading with Jisung at his side, who refused to let go of Hyunjins arm, even though Hyunjin would not stop complaining about it. "How am I supposed to hold this map?" "I'll just hold it for you, now let me enjoy being with you." "You're always with me, we literally live together." "Yeah and what about it?"

Chan slightly smiled. They were really cute.

He, as usual, walked in the back to keep a good overview of the other boys.

Seungmin and Minho were walking together, talking about something Chan couldn't hear, but he did see the worried expression on Minhos face.

Seeing Minho like that made Chan feel weird. He wanted to run over and hug the younger. Hold his hand. Make the worried expression go away.

But he knew he couldn't do that. It was stupid anyways. Why did he feel this way?

"Hey guys here it is", Hyunjin said and pointed with his free arm to a ladder, which was leaning on a tree, leading up to a platform.

Seungmin and Changbin excitedly ran towards it and just decided that they would be the first ones to climb it. Well, Seungmin first and then Changbin.

"You really gotta let go of me now", Hyunjin then said to Jisung, who was looking a bit scared. "But baby it's so high. Just look at that." Hyunjin shook his head, pulled his arm out of Jisungs grip and put his container into the safety catch. He then grabbed Jisungs head and kissed his forehead. "You can do it, I believe in you", he said in the softest tone Chan heard of him so far, "just go right after me and I'll look out for you, okay?" Jisung nodded and smiled softly.

"Could you hurry up? We're not the only people here", Minho decided to ruin the moment.

Hyunjin looked at him, grimaced and started climbing.

After him Jisung got up, as planned.

The first obstacle was a slack line, nothing hard, but Jisung was already scared. Hyunjin did his best to guide him from the other platform, while Chan and Minho (well actually Minho didn't really try to) cheered for him from the ground and Felix and Jeongin did the same just from the first platform.

Jeongin and Felix finished it pretty fast and it was Chans turn to do it, while Minho waited on the first platform for him to finish.

Chan didn't like slack lines, but he got through it, not as fast as Felix and Jeongin, but at least he did.

Then it was Minhos turn.

The younger looked slightly scared. He checked his snap hook a few times before actually stepping onto the slack line. He was shaking and walking slowly, while staring on his feet and grabbing the rope, that was connecting his snap hook with the belt around his hip.

"Hey Jeongin, is it possible, that Minho is scared of heights?" "Hm?", the younger turned around and mustered Minho. "Yeah seems like it. Maybe you should cheer him up a bit? I gotta go Felix's waiting for me over there."

Minho now had reached the middle of the slack line, still obviously scared and it wasn't helping, that the slack line started shaking a bit because of Minho shaking.

"Hey Minho, you need calm down. The line will shake even more, if you don't." Minho had stopped walking, when he heard Chans voice. "Yeah thanks Looser, that helps a lot. I'm not scared anyways." "Yeah, I can see that. Not scared at all." He turned around to see, if the next obstacle was free. "If you're not scared, you wouldn't mind, if I'd go and do the next thing, right?" Minho looked up, the fear clearly seeable in his eyes. "NO DON'T- uh I mean, yes just go." Chan shook his head in disbelief and stayed, where he were. "Okay, you gotta step forward a bit. Yeah, exactly. Now you continue like this." "That's what I've been doing the whole time." "You're almost here."

When Minho finally reached the platform he stumbled forward and almost fell. Chan caught him, before he could. "Yeah, you're definitely not scared, I see that now." "See, I told you." "Minho, you don't even notice me being ironic, you're definitely afraid of heights, no need to put on such an act. It's cute, I'll help you." Minho looked away, clearly trying to hide his blush, but Chan could see it. "Thanks", the younger mumbled and then pushed him forward to the next thing. "You need to move, we're blocking the way. These Korean-Canadian boys have been waiting for a really long time." Chan turned around to see the other platform and Minho was right, two boys were standing there, talking a mix of Korean and English. "I think there's no need to hurry, they're in their own bubble."

They continued this way and at some point the Korean-Canadian boys even started to also cheer on Minho.

For some reason the others in front of them also slowed down a bit. They even changed their order, so that Hyunjin and Jisung were in front of them, to make Minho feel more comfortable.

Meanwhile Chan found the whole situation cute. He always stayed at Minhos side and supported the younger as good as he could. The other had helped Chan so much in the last weeks and he just was really glad, that he got a opportunity to help the younger, even though the other still tried to play it off.

When they finally reached the end, Felix and Jeongin were long gone. Changbin and Seungmin were still there. Even though Chan didn't really get why, they had always waited for them, laughing and making fun of them.

"Min, I will kill you", Minho said, still struggling to get to the end, because the swings were swinging way too much. "I hate you too, Min hyung", Seungmin, who was standing on the ground and holding hands with Changbin, replied smiling widely.

"Hey ignore them, you're almost here", Chan said to bring Minhos attention back to the way he had to climb.

"Yeah go go go", one of the Korean-Canadian boys behind them cheered, to what Chan smiled widely. They were so nice.

He held his hand out to Minho, who took it, still shaking.

"Okay, so you sit down and I'll just pull you over here", Chan suggested. "A- Are you sure? That sounds really dangerous." "I can let go, if you want to do the last few. Just doesn't work, if you hold my hand." "A- Ah no", Minho sat down and made a screeching sound, as soon as Chan pulled him over to the platform.

They now were really close to each other.

To avoid an awkward moment, Chan just hugged the younger and gave him a small kiss on the head, since the other was still sitting and because of that smaller than him.

"Great job", he said. Minho just mumbled something not understandable.

After a few moments Chan let go. "Let's get down, yeah?", he said and helped the younger stand up.

As soon as they got down Minho ran over to Seungmin and hit the other. "I hate you Min, you were supposed to help me and not make it obvious." Seungmin put on a fake pout and said: "Aww sorry Min hyung, I think I forgot." Another hit.

Chan giggled. How could he ever dislike Minhos and Seungmins friendship. They were so cute. Minho was cute.

No he needed to stop that.

"You guys are really slow." Without him noticing the two Korean-Canadian boys arrived on the ground. "Yeah sorry 'bout that, I didn't know my friend was that scared of heights", Chan apologised. "HUH? FRIEND?", the black haired of them exclaimed. "Kevin", the other said in a lower voice. "Sorry, but you really look like a couple." Chan looked surprised and the other boy sighed. "I'm Jacob and this is Kevin." "And together we're Moonbae", Kevin excitedly said. "It's really nice to meet you", Chan smiled. "Wanna exchange numbers?" "Oh yes siiirrrr. I'm guessing you guys didn't take your phones with you, so just tell me your number, Cha- Do I need to call you hyung?" "Uuuh October 3rd 97?" "Yeah I do, but Jacob hyung's older than you hyung." "Oh sorry then Jacob hyung." "Oh it's fine, don't worry." "Now give me your number, Chan hyung." "Okay so it's [insert number here]."

They continued to talk for a bit, when Minho came running over to them.

"Hey Chan hyung, Jisung, Hyunjin, Min and Changbin want to go climb another one. You want to come or", he mustered Jacob and Kevin with a weird expression, "stay with them." "I'm sure they can join us", he turned to check Kevins and Jacobs reaction and both of them nodded enthusiastically. Minho did not look excited. He grabbed Chans hand, gave both of them a weird look and walked off. Chan turned around once again, to gesture them to follow.

"What's wrong with them coming along? They're really nice", Chan asked, still weirded out by Minhos reaction.

Hyunjin and Jisung led the way again and Seungmin and Changbin talked to the newcomers.

"They give me bad vibes." "Minho, you don't even know their names. How can you judge them without having any knowledge about them?" "I just can." "That's not how it works. Are you even sure, you want to climb another one? The first one took us really long, how are you gonna survive on a higher one?" Minho just shrugged to that. "It's not that bad."

It was in fact that bad.

They did the same order as the first time, meaning Changbin and Seungmin first, after that Hyunjin and Jisung, followed by Minho and Chan and lastly Kevin and Jacob. Felix and Jeongin were even higher, than they were, but none of them knew where exactly.

Minho and also Jisung did struggle a lot more because of the height and it was really hard for all of them, except for Seungmin and Changbin. They were busy playing small pranks on Hyunjin, who was right behind them.

They somehow managed to get through it, but it did take them even longer, than the first one.

"I'm never going climbing with you again. Sorry not sorry, Ji", Hyunjin said. Jisung once again clinged onto his arm. "But you were so excited?" "It was fun, but you take way too long." "Hwang Hyunjin, that's more hurtful, than you think it is", Jisung had let go of Hyunjins arm and turned to talk to Kevin and Jacob.

Meanwhile Minho did not stop shaking. Chan hugged him the whole time, but it did not help. Maybe the cable railway at the end was a bit too much for Minho. Chan had to do a lot of convincing to get Minho to do it.

Hyunjin and him exchanged a look and both silently agreed on wrapping the thing up. At least for Minho, Chan, Jisung and Hyunjin. Even Seungmin and Changbin got a bit bored by them being so slow. Just Jacob and Kevin stayed for whatever reason. Chan didn't complain though. They were a lot of help, when it came to cheering on Minho.

"We'll get going now", he said to them, "I think these two", he pointed to Minho and Jisung, "won't survive another one. It was nice meeting you. You have my number, so text me and we can make a group chat or something like that."

So they left and spent the rest of the evening in one of their rooms just talking and taking turns in playing games on the switch one of them brought along.

All in all it was fun for all of them, even though there were some difficulties.
