One Shot

You're lying down on your bed and as usual, scrolling through your Instagram feed when you see a video of Taehyung being extra as usual.

"Pfft what a dork. Sometimes I wonder what everyone sees in him." You say amusedly.

Arms wrap around your waist and fingers pinch your tummy softly.

"뭐라고? 어젯밤에 너 말한 게 아니야 ㅋ (Hmm? That's not what you were saying last night haha)" he says smugly.

You flush lightly and smack him. "...shut up Tae..."

He gently kisses you on your shoulder and you don't even fight the smile that comes to your face.

"I still can't believe you're here though... it's been almost a month since you've been traveling with the guys..." you say.

He looks up at you with a twinkle in his eye. "I promised you didn't I? Every year on your birthday I'll always be there"

You smile, reminiscing the memories of your prior birthdays. "Mm I remember... last week you called and said you wouldn't be able to make it though... you even cried on the phone. Dammit Kim Taehyung you star in a drama once and you act like you're 김수현 Kim Soo Hyun no wonder everyone always assumes you're the Xman. I should've known..."

"ㅋㅋ this year is special though, you turned 20." He says brightly.

You only shake your head. "You said that last year when I turned 19 and you booked the whole amusement park for us too... remember?"

He looks back at you dryly. "Sorry what did you say? I couldn't hear you. Did you say 'Your Tae is the most amazing boyfriend ever?'"

You pretend to think for a moment.

With a snap of your fingers you speak. "Hmm I wonder if Hobi Oppa is still single..."

Taehyung growls slightly and drags you closer to him your poker face breaks and you chuckle lightly

Lowering his voice, he whispers huskily into your ear "니가 내꺼야 Y/N" (You're mine Y/N)

You laugh lightly. "I know 오빠, you tell me almost everyday. But still you really went all out for me. You know you didn't have to right?"

"그래 내가 할 필요는 없지만 하고싶다 (You're right. I didn't have to, but I wanted to)"

You gaze into his eyes only to find that he's been watching you the whole time. Slowly he breaks into a huge smile and because everything about Tae is contagious you can't help but do the same. You start thinking about what happened before he arrived last night

A week ago

phone rings
You glance at the caller ID and eagerly pick up the phone

Y/N: 자기야? (Babe?)

Taehyung: Y/N...

He sounded extremely down and automatically you assume the worst...

Y/N: No... babe... did Kookie beat you at UNO again?...

You hear a snort of laughter on the other end and you knew messing with him first would help him, if only slightly.

Taehyung: I love you but sometimes I wonder about you Y/N... but no... I kicked his ass.

Suddenly you hear a muffled: "Y/N- he's lying!! He never wins he's just a- OUCH HYUNG SERIOUSLY?" You shake your head.

"Kids..." you muttered to yourself

Taehyung: Babe what I'm trying to say is that I don't think I can make it for your birthday this year... ever since we released 봄날 and Not Today we've had fanmeets and promotions lined up... I promised you every year I'd be there for you but I can't... I really tried but I'll make it up to you. I promise.

You hear his voice crack and can tell he's on the verge of tears. Despite being downhearted about it you understand. Every fan deserves all the love each member gives them and you could handle that much for him.

Y/N: Tae, I understand, really. Don't worry about it okay? You guys are always this busy when you drop something new so I'm fine.

Taehyung:...okay if you say so... I really have to go though... I'll call you soon okay? Love you.

"-/N... YA Y/N!..."

"Oops what?..." you say confusedly, missing out on what he said.

"You're spacing out... is this how people feel when I do that?..." he asks with his brow raised

"I wonder if I got that from you too..." you say seriously.

He laughs and drags you towards him. "You brat haha come here."

"ㅋㅋ 메롱 I was just thinking about yesterday" you tell him honestly.

He looks up haughtily and waves his hands dismissively "I know I know. I'm great you don't have to tell me"

"Hmm weird" you thought... wonder what he's up to...

BANGTANTV uploaded a video "MY LITTLE ALIEN"

"Oh god... no... Tae you little shit..." you thought panicking immensely because you never know what to expect from your strange boyfriend.

You start the video but your hands start shaking, accidentally clicking the dislike button. "Huh... so that's how BTS gets their dislikes..." you thought.

This time you successfully start the video and you see Tae with the other members as usual. They mess around for a couple minutes and then the scene changes. It's a time lapse for the whole year with Taehyung saying he loves you in various ways: writing on sand, screaming as he bungee jumped, drawing pictures for you and more. You start tearing up as a video collage of you plays, showing images from when you were a baby, until now and some memories including Taehyung. Near the end of the video Taehyung comes back on screen and says, "자기야! 너의 문을 열어야!" (Honey! Open your door!)

"No. way." You thought as you ran for your front door to see not only Taehyung but the rest of the members too.

"Tae... what?..." you say in shock.

He's decked out in a full suit with flowers in his hand and he starts serenading you with a song you've never heard of... once he finishes you're full on crying but you don't care. You're wearing your 아줌마 (ahjumma) clothes and you think you have snot running down your nose but he still looks at you like you're Beyoncé ready to take on the world. You both have a moment just looking at each other, him with love and you with disbelief until...

"I wrote the song Y/N" Yoongi speaks up.

There was a moment of silence before 5 people start smacking him around

"YOON. You just killed the mood Oh my god." Jin says, slapping his hand over Yoongi's mouth.

"Hyung. No..." Jimin adds on, shaking his head embarrassedly.

You laugh so hard and then invite them in for food.

"I knew there was a reason why we liked her..." Namjoon whispers to himself.

Hoseok perks up to what you said. "YES FOOD. LETS GOO!"

Jungkook turns towards you as everyone walks in and whispers

"You're lucky. you should've seen how much effort Hyung put into this Y/N"

He pats your back and walks in with a smile on his face.

As the night/morning goes on, each member slowly pass out until it's just you two awake.

Present

"...think so too right?" Tae finishes nodding slightly.

You look at him, caught off guard. "Wait Tae what?"

He shakes his head at you, amused. "Heh seriously babe at this rate you can just cut your hair short and replace me in the group. I said we should probably get up. You think so too right?"

Slowly you give him a languid look and give him a sultry smile. "Mm I think we can spare another hour don't you think?"

You snuggle closer to him and he growls lightly in appreciation. Flipping you over he stares down at you lovingly "That's my girl"

And the day passed on with the members being none the wiser
