[ꜱᴜᴘᴇʀɪᴏʀ: ᴠᴏʟᴜᴍᴇ 2]: (Chapter 5: Field Trip: Part 2)
Ruby: Daddy!
All four women quickly rushed over to Superior and bombarded him with a group hug, smothering his fave with loving smooches.
Superior just chuckled, enjoying the feeling of the four eager women pushing their bodies up against him, peppering his faces with kisses. However, he had to end this so they could get started.
Superior: Alright girls, alright, that's enough. We can't get this trip started if you smother me like this
Disgruntled at this, the team or women pulled themselves away from Superior.
Superior: Now, I'm afraid those bags won't be necessary, ladies, seeing as you've opted to shadow a Huntsman on what is now essentially a reconnaissance mission. I can assure you that we will not be establishing a single base of operations; rather, we will be traversing several miles of hazardous wasteland and making camp in any defendable locations we may stumble upon. I packed all of our essentials myself, plotted our air course, and readied the airship. Let's get moving
Superior turned around, his cape blowing in the wind as he made his way to the airship.
Yang: (Watching as he walked away) So cool...
Blake: This is going to be an interesting experience
Weiss: We get to see the Number One Huntsman himself work, I'm shaking in anticipation
Yang: Or lust
Weiss: Anticipation!
Team RWBY looked at each other and smiled in excitement.
Ruby: This is great! We're teaming up with Daddy again to save the world!
Nora (Voice-only): Save the world?
Ruby's team turns around to see Nora and Team JNPR approaching.
Nora: (Being dramatic) You're going on world-saving missions without us? Amd with Superior himself, no less?! I'm hurt... sad! (Stomach rumbles) Maybe a little hungry? That last one's not your fault, though, Ren...
Lie Ren, for his part, simply crosses his arms and turns away.
Jaune: Sounds exciting. Where ya going?
Ruby: Oh, just outside the kingdom...
Nora: Hey! So are we!
Pyrrha: Ren and Nora wanted to shadow the sheriff of a nearby village
Ren: We set out tomorrow
Neptune (Voice-only): Then you can party with us tonight!
Neptune and Sun approach the two groups.
Neptune: We're shadowing a crime specialist. All inner-city detective stuff. We get junior badges
Jaune is awestruck.
Sun: We normally go to the city with you guys, which means stuff's always exploding and junk, so we thought this might be a better way to check out the kingdom when it's, you know... normal
Ruby: Well-
Superior appears from the airship to call to Team RWBY.
Superior: Four minutes, ladies!
He goes back inside as their friends smile at the girls.
Ruby: Hope you lot have fun!
Pyrrha: (Smiles politely) Same here, but not too much fun, okay?
Yang: (Smirks) No promises
With that, the friends disband, either back to Beacon Academy or towards their mission.
Ruby: Alright, ladies. It's time to show this Huntsman that we're -

The airship that Superior and Team RWBY are in is now flying over buildings and streets amid deafening turbines.
Yang: This is gonna be so much fun! We're get to see you in action, Daddy!
Weiss: I've watched every one of your fights growing up. From the common thug to Grimm that tower over buildings. It's extraordinary
Superior: *Chuckles* I've had my fair share of tussles throughout my years on this planet, yes
Ruby: (Tilting her head in confusion) Like the mushroom?
Blake: (Leaning over) Those are truffles
Ruby: (Still scratching her head in befuddlement) Like the sprout...?
Yang: (Also leaning over) Those are Brussels
Superior: Besides, I've learned many things while living on this planet, it's history being one of them as well as my dabblings in the archaeological surveys, headmaster saw fit to assign me to this particular assignment
Weiss: Not to question you, sir, but what does history have to do with this?
F/N: (Looks at Weiss, eyebrow raised) I thought you'd be the one to know why, Weiss. History is the backbone of every society. How can one learn if not for the past?
Weiss: (Blushes in embarrassment) O-Oh! Of course! Sorry for my blunder, sir...
Superior: (Smiles) No need to apologise. You're still in training, after all. Mistakes are sured to be made during your time here. No one is perfect, after all
Weiss could only smile back, her heart fluttering due to his kind words.
Superior: The southeast quadrant outside of Vale is home to wild forests and deep caves, but it is also the location to one of the kingdom's greatest failures
Ruby: Mountain Glenn...
Yang: That's right! It was an expansion of Vale... but in the end, it was overrun by Grimm and fenced off from the rest of the city
Superior: You are correct. And now it stands abandoned as a dark reminder...
Blake: ... And a likely place for a hideout
Superior: (Looks at the team with a smirk) Precisely

The airship comes in over a spot of street amidst the ruined buildings and structures of the ruined area.
It hovers right above the ground as Yang, Blake, Superior, Weiss, and Ruby all jump out of the craft with weapons drawn (minus the Number One Huntsman) before the ship flies away from the destruction.
Superior: (Calls the attention of RWBY) Ladies! You still may be students, but as of this moment, your first mission as Huntresses has begun! From this point forward, you need to do exactly as I say! Do you understand? (The girls nod, but he suddenly looks at Ruby, startling her.) Ruby! I thought I told you to leave all of your bags back at school.
Ruby: But, uh, you hadn't told us to listen to you yet, Daddy. So I didn't...
Superior: ... Touché. Very well, Ruby; leave your bag here, and we can pick it up upon our return
Ruby: But I, well, uh-
Superior: Ruby L/N, what in the world could you possibly have in that bag that could be so important to bring it with...
He stops himself as the bag's zipper opens and out pops Zwei's head, causing everyone to stare at the uninvited guest.
Ruby: (Whispering to her dog through the side of her mouth) Get back in the bag!
Superior: Is that Zwei? Why is he here? (To Yang) Why is here?
Yang: Mom and Mama Summer had to leave Patch for a bit, so we have to look after him
Zwei merely barks in response.
Superior: We're here to investigate an abandoned urban jungle teeming with death and hostility, and you brought... Zwei?
Ruby: I, uh...
Superior: Genius, Ruby!
Ruby gave her father a confused look before Superior walked over and took Zwei from Ruby, a smile on his face as Zwei barked in joy when seeing him.
Superior: Canines are historically known for their perceptive nose and heightened sense of sound, making them excellent companions for a hunt such as ours! Excellent thinking, Ruby
Zwei barks happily in his hands.
Ruby: Th-That's exactly why I brought him! Yes! I'm a genius!
Weiss and Yang both facepalm at their grinning leader.
Blake: So, what are your orders, sir?
Superior: Ah, yes, straight to the chase; I like it (He puts Zwei down as the corgi sat down next his owner while Superior put his hands behind his back for a serious pose.) As you've been informed, the southeast area has been marked as a recent hot spot for Grimm activity. Now, there are several possible explanations for this behaviour, one of which is... Grimm.
Ruby: (Just as confused as her teammates for the redundancy) Uh, what?
Superior: Grimm. A creature of Grimm approximately one hundred yards from us at this very moment
Yang: What?!
She turns to look like the other girls at the lone Beowolf wandering into the street, joining them in unleashing their weapons.
Superior: Stop!
Blake: Huh?
Blake lowers her Gambol Shroud like everyone else to listen.
Superior: There are a number of reasons why Grimm will congregate in this particular area, the most likely of which will be their attraction to negativity: sadness, envy, loneliness, hatred. All qualities that are likely held by our hidden group harbouring ill intent
Ruby: So... what now?
Superior: We wait. We track. If this specimen leads us to its pack, that pack may subsequently lead us to our prey
Blake: How long do we wait?
Superior: It's uncertain. Hours, days, weeks. Why, lone Grimm have been known to stay isolated from the pack for months - and there's the whole pack
His sudden realization is true: Five Beowolves are already following the first.
Weiss: What?
Superior: (Continuing to state the obvious) And now they've seen us
Weiss: (Louder) What?!
Superior: (Coming right up to Weiss' ear to shout) AND NOW THEY'VE SEEN US!
Weiss: Ah, got it. Thank you
Superior: You're welcome
Ruby: I take it tracking them is out of the question?
Superior: An accurate assumption, yes
Yang: What's the plan, then, Daddy?
The team turns to their teacher as the creatures close in, black bars converging dramatically over the approaching animals.
Superior: Show me what you're capable of
Ruby: (Swings Crescent Rose to prepare it for shooting) Cover your ears, Zwei!
The dog does so, curling up into a ball.
Black lines race across the screen as a single Beowolf and smiling Yang run towards one another, ending with the blonde knocking it out in one fiery punch as they pass.
Several stop chasing after the party girl to focus on Blake, who stands and waits with hand on her hilt until one of the enemy swipes at her afterimage, the real deal slicing her would-be attacker in half before slashing through another and cutting down on one more.
Behind the Faunus, Weiss runs from several black-coated beasts before jumping in the air and taking one down with Myrtenaster.
She dashes towards them with rapier held high and slays four of them in a straight line until she stops. A wave of Beowolves are converging on Ruby, but the scythe wielder shoots multiple bullets at the oncoming force... while Zwei is busy chasing his own tail.
He stops to watch his owner fire forward and, after a dramatic mid-air stare-off, cut the single remaining Grimm in two.
Ruby: (To her father, lifting her weapon) Heh. Piece of cake!
Superior: Do not celebrate yet, for I am certain this is the first bout of many. Shall we continue?
Continue they do, as it cuts to Ruby cutting through the scene change, Blake slicing the previous shift, and a random slash going to the view of Superior is playing with Zwei as Grimm parts fall around him. He is centred on the faces of tired Huntresses.
Superior: (As the newest batch of slain monster corpses start smoking, he smiles) Excellent work, ladies. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any signs of criminal operations in this sector. Oh, well! Moving on
Yang: (As they follow Superior, with Ruby sheathing her scythe and beckoning Zwei to follow) Hey, Daddy, y'know, I was actually looking forward to seeing you fight in action. Like, fighting, or at least, helping us fight?
Superior: (Over his shoulder) Ah, but I am in action, Yang. Scouring the ruins of this once-great city for any signs of irregularity! (Fully turns to the team.) Not every mission is filled with daring and heroism, ladies. Sometimes, it's just a heightened form of extermination (Yang nods in understanding at Superior's serious rebuttal). Remember, this is a job, and you all signed up for it. I do hope you understand that
Yang: I... I understand, Daddy. Sorry for questioning you like that...
F/N nods before turning around and continues walking while Yang looks down in shame. Her teammates pat her back in comfort.
...
...
...
The scene changes to the view of another victory for RWBY and their mentor amid the noise of fired shots but switches again to Superior and Yang away from the group.
Superior: Tell me, Yang: Why did you choose this line of work?
Yang: Huh? (Under Superior's gaze, she answers) shouldn't you already know the answer to that, Daddy? It's to fight monsters and save people like you do. To be a Huntre -
Superior: (Cutting her off) No, that is what you do. I want to know why you do it. The honest reason as to why you want to be a Huntress
Yang: (Considers this, then answers) The honest reason...? I'm a thrill-seeker. I want to travel around the world and get wrapped up in as many crazy adventures as I can. And if I help people along the way, then that's even better. It's a win-win, y'know? You helped open my eyes to such possibilities
Superior: I see...
...
...
...
One claw-scratch transition later, Superior is sitting on a high windowsill writing in his journal while Weiss fights off Beowolves below.
Superior: And you, Miss Schnee? A girl born into fame and fortune such as yourself certainly doesn't need the extra work. So... why choose this over a cushy job in Atlas?
Weiss: (After she impales the last foe on her blade and drops the body) It's exactly as you said: I'm a Schnee. I have a legacy of honour to uphold. Once I realized I was capable of fighting, there was no longer a question of what I would do with my life. It was my duty
Superior: (Nodding) Interesting...
...
...
...
Superior jumps down into the next scene, where Blake slashes a door down and releases a swarm of small Nevermores from the building, which she back-flips under before she shoots them all with her blade's pistol form.
Superior: (As he examines the inside of the doorway) And what about you, Blake? You seem to carry yourself with a sense of purpose
Blake: There's too much wrong in this world to just stand by and do nothing. Inequality, corruption... someone has to stop it
Superior: Very well. How?
Blake: (Suddenly, she cannot answer) I, Uh...
Superior "Hmm's" to himself, then walks away, leaving Blake to bow her head in troubled thought.
...
...
...
Later, Ruby is using her weapon in the most practical fashion and lifting a whole turkey on the sharp end of her gun to tease a jumping and flipping Zwei with.
That is, until she spots her father's watching, quickly sheathing Crescent Rose.
Ruby: Daddy! I'm sorry! Uh... are we ready to keep going?
Superior: No. I believe that will have to do for today. It's going to be dark soon. (Throws his bag over to Yang, who makes a sound when she catches it.) You three, set up camp in that building. Oh, and please do make sure there are no more of those... creatures. Your leader and I are going to secure the perimeter. Come, Ruby
They start walking away from the rest of RWBY, who each look at their leader, knowing what she'll be asked.
As Superior and Ruby round the corner of a building, she sees something that makes her say:
Ruby: Whaaaa...
Ruby looks upon a wide forest stretching below the ruin, and in the midst of it, a line of giant elephants with the black and white features of animals of darkness marching through the trees.
Ruby: What is that? It looks awesome!
Superior: That, my dear Rosebud, is a Grimm
She stares at the lumbering mass of monsters in amazement and awe before pulling out her gun.
Ruby: Let's kill it
Superior: I'm afraid your sniper rifle will do nothing more than agitate a Grimm of that size
Ruby: But you should have no problem dealing with them, right, Daddy? What if it attacks us?
Superior: Don't worry, Ruby; those Goliaths are not concerned with us... Ruby, not every Grimm is mindless, or rather not every Grimm is still mindless. You see, the Grimm you see before you are so powerful, so superior to the Grimm you fought, that they've undoubtedly lived hundreds of years, and in that time between killing humans and attacking our borders, they have done one important thing: They've learned. They've learned that when they attack our borders, they're likely to die, and what we lack in strength, we make up for in will, and that killing one human will only bring more
As he says this, one Goliath swivels its thick neck to look at the figures watching their procession, eyes glowing as fiery red as any other Grimm.
Ruby: Then why are they still so close to the city? What are they doing?
Superior: Waiting...
As he says this, the Goliath turns its head forward again and moves on with its kin. Superior turns around and walks away as well, and Ruby puts away her weapon, not moving.
Ruby: Daddy?
Superior: Hmm?
Ruby: I was wondering...
Superior: (Stops walking and turns back to her) Wondering why I've been interrogating your teammates all day?
Ruby: A-Actually, I was wondering... Why did you want to become a Huntsman? You told me that you were chosen to be this planet's protector by your people. That it was your duty you were born into... but is this what you really want?
Superior was silent for a moment as he stared at his daughter while Ruby didn't look at him until she did.
Ruby: Daddy?
Superior: Look around and tell me what you see, Ruby
Ruby takes a look around.
Ruby: Lots of old buildings, uh, empty streets...
Superior: I see lives that could have been saved. (Continues walking with Ruby beside him and Zwei at their heels) As a Huntsman, it is my job to protect the people, and although I am capable of doing it with ease because of my Viltrumite abilities, I believe I can make also make an impact if I do it with my mind. As a teacher, I'm able to take knowledge, the most powerful weapon of them all, and place it in the hands of every student that passes through my classroom. I look at this wasteland, and I see lives that could have been saved, but I also see an opportunity; an opportunity to study these ruins and learn from this tragedy, and therefore become stronger. (Stops for his final answer) This life is all I've ever known. Like you said, Ruby, I was born into it. It is all I'll ever be...
Back at the building, the team has done as instructed, building a fire in the centre of the room and huddling around it or standing up.
Yang: I can't believe we didn't find anything...
Blake: We've always been fortunate enough to be in the right place at the right time. I guess we can't always have luck on our side. Even if we have Superior himself with us...
Weiss: (Off-topic) That's not what I meant
Blake: Huh?
Weiss: Earlier, about... upholding the legacy. There's more to it than that
Yang: Yeah... no, me too. I mean... I don't know
Blake: I don't know, either. I know what I want to do, but I figured I'd always take things one step at a time
Yang: Well, it doesn't matter. We know why we're here. Right?
The girls merely stare in silence.
Superior: (Walks into the room) Ah, wonderful; a textbook campfire
Ruby: Fire! (Comes in behind Superior and immediately sits next to the blaze alongside Zwei) So... warm...
Superior: Very good. Eat your dinners and relax for now. We have a lot of ground to cover tomorrow, and we'll need you to take turns keeping watch over our temporary abode. Are there any volunteers for the first watch?
Ruby: (Lifts an arm while still looking into the fire, simply answering) Yo
Superior nods and walks off, and Ruby gets up to go over to her lookout point.
Yang: (As her sister passes, stopping Ruby) Hey, did Daddy ask you why you wanted to be a Huntress? I mean... what did you tell him?
Ruby: Hmm... no, he didn't. Weird. Oh, well; good night, guys!
Without a second carefree thought, she continues on her way.
Yang looks disappointed in the lack of an answer. Blake is similarly troubled as she unrolls her mat, Weiss tries lying down but fails to sleep, Yang half-heatedly eats her dinner of bread rolls.
Soon, all three Huntresses are on their backs around the fire, weapons within easy access, wondering why they are there.
Ruby, meanwhile, is sitting in the vacant windowsill of the room as Zwei goes over to her upon hearing the howling of Beowolves. She pets her pooch on the back.
Ruby: Don't worry. Things will be better tomorrow
Master and pet look out onto the rubble and stare in silence.
Meanwhile, with Superior, he stood on the edge of a building as he stood off into the darkness of night. Deep in thought, as his talk with Ruby reminded him of the same one he had with Summer back in the day.
It was a night like this that he'll never forget.

___________[Flashback: Start]___________
It was now the night of Beacon Dance as F/N entered in wearing a formal suit where students and teachers were either dancing, eating, chatting, or drinking.
He immediately noticed that Raven was sitting at one of the four corners of the room. A scowl on her face that fit along with her dress. It was night black and covered her top half modestly but had concealed slits down the sides.
F/N: Typical of Raven. She probably has those on the off chance that she needed to fight in a dress. Admirable
He wouldn't be surprised if he pattered her down to feel a dozen or so knives hidden on her person. Maybe even find her dress to be dust-embedded.
A lot of people came around to give her compliments, men and women, but more often than not dud Raven give them the "piss off" face followed by a wave of her hand in a dismissive manner.
F/N just simply walked over to her and extended his hand.
F/N: May I have this dance?
Raven: (Narrows her eyes at him) You know I don't dance, my love
F/N: (Smirks slightly) Really now? Or perhaps you simply don't know how to dance
Raven: Vexing me won't start getting me to dance. I'll just be stepping on your feet
F/N: You talk as if that would hurt me? I'll lead the dance and help you along the way
Taking her hand, F/N brought Raven to her feet as she stared at him with a blank expression.
Raven: You're impossible...
F/N: (Pulls her closer to him) But you love me for it
Raven placed her left hand onto his shoulder and her right hand on his right side.
F/N: Very good, now just follow my lead
He placed his left hand on her waist as he began to dance with her.
Watching the two from a distance was none other than Summer Rose; who looked mildly disheartened and envious.
It was no secret that F/N was her crush. She did a poor job of hiding that fact, something that F/N seemed oblivious of.
Ozpin: (Walking up to his student) Not enjoying yourself?
Summer: Huh? Oh, no... everything's fine
She sees Raven get twirled by F/N, then Branwen resting her head comfortably on his chest once the slow dance starts.
Summer: I never knew F/N was such a great dancer. He dances as well as he fights to be honest
Ozpin: When you think about it, fighting and dancing aren't so different. Two partners interlocked *chuckles* although one wrong move on ballroom merely leads to a swollen foot
Summer: Or a twisted ankle
Ozpin: Though I am surprised, Mr. L/N can dance so well. From what he told me, all he knows is being on the battlefield
Summer's eyes sway from her teammates to look at her teacher. Curiosity is all too evident, Ozpin picks up on it immediately.
Ozpin: As you know, F/N is an alien from another planet, Viltrum. He was born and raised to become a keeper of the peace. Always ready to lead others, step up when others have already fallen, move forward when others have retreated, train when others slept, study when others played... sacrifice when no one would
Ozpin paused to take a sip.
Ozpin: He was trained to be the strongest of them all, maybe too strong for his own good. Everyone is beneath him, no rival. He's fought people who could destroy Remnant ten times over. It truly can be lonely when you're the only one at the top...
Summer could only stare at Ozpin when hearing all of this. She knew F/N was amazing, but this? Just... wow...
Ozpin: Miss. Rose. It isn't every day that people are able to come together like this. Time has a way of testing our bonds, but there are nights like this that can help make them stronger than ever. Nights like are ones we never forget
After giving Summer his last piece of advice, he left Summer to her own devices.
Summer thought over his words and worked up the courage to do what would mark this night as unforgettable.
Back to the couple. Unsurprisingly, Raven was a fast learner when she cooperated, which made their dance a lot more seamless than it needed to be.
Raven didn't know how long they were dancing for, but she was too relaxed to even give a damn at this point. Throughout her entire first year at Beacon, F/N was the only person to make her feel at ease; to make her feel happy.
This was arguably the most fun she had in a long time, and she didn't need to drive her sword into anybody's heart.
F/N: Hey Raven, can I ask you a question?
Raven keeps her head rested on his chest and hums a yes in response.
F/N: Where do you see us once we graduate Beacon?
Raven: What do you mean by that?
F/N: We've already exceeded the expectations and skills required for a professional Huntsman and Huntress in just our first year at Beacon, Summer, and Qrow also. Ozpin already has us doing missions in other kingdoms, and our team has made a name for itself
Raven: Especially you, my love, but regardless, I never treated those topics with much thought... but I'd really love to settle down somewhere with you
Revealing this, Raven lifted her head to lock eyes with him.
F/N: Summer says she knows a few scheduled places in Patch... maybe we could start a family
Raven blushed slightly when hearing this, adorned by the idea as she gave him one of her rare smiles.
Raven: I wouldn't be against that idea...
F/N smiled back as the song that was currently playing was about to come to an end, and before F/N could ask for a second dance, his attention was taken away.
*Tap, tap*
F/N: Hm?
F/N turned ever so slightly and was greeted by the second female of his team. Her hand extended in a nervous manner, and her cheeks caked in a red hue.
F/N: Sum-?
Summer: SorrytointerduptbutmayIpleasehavethisdancewithyou?!
Her speech was rushed, so much so Raven had to do a double-take while F/N tilted his head slightly. He seemed to understand her, however.
F/N: Of course, if Raven allows it
Raven: Allow what?
Summer: U-Uuuuh...
F/N: To dance with me
Raven glanced at her tomato-red teammate and blinked her eyes twice at what was being asked of her. Summer was great with combat but not with her social skills. Not to mention, she really needed to develop a poker face. She was way too easy to read.
Raven: Sure (separates from her lover). I'll allow it
Summer: Wait, really?! You will?!
Raven: Want me to change my mi- ophm!
She's cut off when Summer glomped her with her hug, a massive grin of happiness on her face.
Summer: Thanks, Raven! You're the best!
Raven sighed before patting her hyperactive teammate on the back. F/N smirked slightly in amusement at this. Especially when Summer surprised Raven by giving her cheek a kiss
Raven: Y-Yes... *clears throat* yes. I know (Summer let's her go) don't mention it. Besides, I need to find my foolish brother. Do you know where he is?
Summer: I think I saw him by the punch bowl. I don't recommend drinking it, though. I think it might've been spiked...
The trio looked over and immediately saw that Qrow was passed out, face first, in the punch bowl.
F/N: Alcohol has no effect on me, I tried. It would appear the opposite for your brother
Raven: Tch! That idiot brother of mine...
She then walked over to retrieve her brother, who had unconsciously come to an epiphany.
F/N and Summer then get situated. F/N quickly but gently intertwines his right hand with Summer's left hand; his left hand was lying on her waist while her right hand was on his shoulder. The next song began, giving F/N the signal to lead Summer in the dance.
As the two danced in the waltz, Summer broke the silence, her voice barely being heard over the music.
Summer: F/N?
F/N: Yes, Summer?
Summer: Why did you become a peace keeper for Remnant when it only gives you all the things that you don't want?
This question caught F/N by surprise, yet the two didn't stop dancing.
F/N: What's made you reach this conclusion?
Summer: The way you act and carry yourself. It's endearing, but it also helps me to have a basic understanding of you...
F/N: ...
Summer: Your personality is quite tricky to understand, but if I were to guess... you hate this position you've been put in, you hate being the centre of attention, you hate how people look up to you and you also hate how people expect big things from you; it angers you and irritates you to no end. Yet you embrace it... why is that?
F/N remained silent as he stared at the girl in front of him with a tense expression. Summer immediately felt like she said something that she shouldn't, but her curiosity about him overcame her.
A sigh then escaped F/N's lips before he smiled slightly at her.
F/N: It doesn't matter whether I like the situation I was born into or not. I embrace it because it is all I know. It's all I've ever known. Ozpin trusted me with this secret for that reason. You, Raven, and Qrow are another case
Summer: But we don't know the reason...
F/N: The reason isn't important as long as we put a stop to her... then I would have achieved what I was born for. I'll be happy in just knowing that
Summer: You've put a lot of trust in Ozpin...
F/N: I had to if I wanted him to gain mine. He wasn't as trusting towards me when we first met, but he's done a lot of good for me since I earned it
Summer: (Tilts her head) Really? Like what?
F/N: Because of him, I was able to meet you
Summer: (Blushes and looks away) Wh-What does that mean?
Gently cupping her chin, F/N made Summer look up at him since he was taller.
F/N: You know exactly what I mean. I'm not going to sugar-coat anything either. Meeting someone like you is an once in a lifetime experience
As for Summer, she felt electricity make its way through her body, especially when he started to stare into her eyes. That and the warmth of his hand against her cheek accompanied the chorus of the song enlivening her senses and mood.
Her chest tightened as F/N leaned forward, causing the two to press their foreheads together, their noses merely inches apart.
F/N: I'm always here for you, Summer. Like me, you have the problems of the world on your shoulders, but I'm here to lessen and maybe even save you from it...
Hearing all of this, Summer couldn't take it anymore. Reaching up and cupping his cheeks with the palm of her hands, she captured his lips with her own. Summer's face burned with an intense feeling of F/N's soft, tender lips as he kissed her sweetly. The two can't help but moan at the feeling of kissing the other. They then broke the kiss, savouring the moment.
The weight of what she just did suddenly dawned on Summmer.
Summer: A-Ah! No! I'm sorry! I'm sorry... I didn't mean... argh! Sorry! Please, F/N! I... I'm so sorry!
Summer turned to quickly leave, but F/N immediately stopped her with his strong grip.
F/N: Summer. It's okay
Summer: No! It's not! I know you and Raven are together, and I just - I just -...!
F/N: I'm not just seeing Raven, Summer
She immediately stopped her panic and looked at him.
Summer: Wait, you're not? Wait... are you seeing multiple women?!
F/N: Correct. It's a normal custom upon my people to have multiple mates of they wish. It helps keep our people's numbers high. It may seem unethical for you, but that's just one of my people's customs
Summer: Oh...
Summer stilled herself. If her crush was dating multiple women and he didn't reject her advances, then that would make him... available.
She practically nearly jumped and latched onto him like a Koala Faunus at the prospect of dating him. To Summer, everything felt so much better than it did a moment ago.
F/N: I understand if this makes you see me differently, but I assure you that
Summer: (Puts her finger to his lips) I won't judge you and your people's customs. After all, I want in
F/N: (Raises an eyebrow) Really now?
Summer: Can you blame me? You just look so... yummy
F/N: *Chuckles* Yummy? Now that's a new one. Though it feels appropriate since it's coming from you...
Summer: Eh? What's that supposed to mean, huh?!
F/N: It's a compliment, I promise you
Summer: Hmph! It better be... I just ask that I see the others, I've already met Raven
F/N: Of course. Now then (holds his hand out) shall we continue our dance?
Summer: (Giggles while taking it) We shall
The next song had played, causing the lovely new couple to dance in a waltz once again. This would be an enjoyable night for the two of them, enjoyable, entertaining, and unforgettable.

Superior: (Looks up at the moon) You truly are like your mother, Ruby...
...
...
...
The full moon is shining over the ruined buildings of Mountain Glenn, and a lone Beowolf is searching through the rubble.
It looks up briefly at the young girl who has it in her red crosshair scope, but Ruby just lowers Crescent Rose and sighs in tiredness at she keeps lookout over the destruction.
The rest of her team is lying down on their sleeping mats around the fire with weapons nearby, and Superior is higher up, slumped down against the wall next to the hole in the ceiling/floor.
The three members of RWBY have their eyes closed, but Yang is the first to stop pretending.
Yang: Blake, are you awake?
Blake: Yeah...
Yang: Why do you think he asked us about being a Huntress? Like, what was he trying to say?
Blake: Maybe he was just curious?
Yang: You think?
Blake: No...
Yang: Weiss, are you awake?
Weiss: Of course I'm awake! You two are talking. And I think he... when I said I wanted to honour my family's name, I meant it. But, it's not what you think. I'm not stupid. I'm fully aware of what my father has done with Schnee Dust Company. Since he took control, our business has operated in a... moral grey area
Blake: That's putting it lightly
Weiss: This is why I feel the need to make things right. If I had taken a job in Atlas, it wouldn't have changed anything. My father was not the start of our name, and I refused to let him be the end of it
Blake: All my life, I fought for what I thought was right. I had a partner named Adam. More of a mentor, actually. He always assured me that what we were doing would make the world a better place. But of course, his idea of a perfect future turned out to be not perfect for everyone... and Ilia, the woman who I loved, the one who dragged into that life, chose to remain by his side
Yang: So that's why you're so fixated on her?
Blake: Yeah... I joined the Academy because I knew that Huntsmen and Huntresses were regarded as the most noble warriors in the world, with Superior being the one that everyone should strive to become. Always fighting for good. But I never really thought past that. When I leave the Academy, what will I - how can I undo so many years of hate?
Yang: I'm sure you'd figure it out. You're not one to back down from a challenge, Blake
Blake: But I am! I do it all the time! When you learned I was a Faunus, I didn't know what to do, so I ran! When I realized my oldest partner had become a monster, I ran! Even my Semblance! I was born with the ability to leave behind a shadow of myself; an empty copy that takes the hit while I run away!
Yang: At least you two have something that drives you. I've just kinda of always gone with the flow, y'know? And that's fine, I mean, that's who I am. But how long can I really do that for? I wanna be a Huntress, not really because I want to be a hero, but because I want the adventure. I want a life where I won't know what tomorrow will bring. And that'll be a good thing. Being a Huntress just happens to line up with that. I'm not like Ruby. She's always wanted to be a Huntress. It's like she said, ever since she was a kid, she'd dreamt about being the heroes in the books. Helping people and saving the day, and never asking for anything else in return. Even when she couldn't fight, she knew that's what she wanted to do. That's why she trained so hard to get where she is today
Weiss: With who your father is, I'm not surprised
Yang: But she's the one that's more dedicated to this than I am. Our daddy is more to us than just a father
Blake: He's more to us than we realised. He's always been in our lives if we've realised it or not
Yang: And now look where we are! In the middle of a warzone and armed to the teeth
Blake: It's the life we chose
Weiss: It's a job. We all had this romanticized vision of being a Huntress in our heads! But at the end of the day, it's a job to protect the people! And whatever we want, we will have to come second
Superior gains a small smile when she finishes.
Yang has taken up watch, allowing for Ruby and Zwei to sleep on the sleeping bag Yang had been lying on.
Zwei suddenly wakes and stands up, causing Ruby to wake up.
Ruby: Huh? Zwei, it's late. Go back to bed. (Zwei runs off) Zwei! Zwei! Ugh!
Ruby wanders out of the building, looking for Zwei.
Ruby: Zwei! Zwei, where are you? Zwei! Huh?
Ruby spots Zwei urinating on some ruins.
Ruby: Zwei, this is a wasteland! You literally could have done that anywhere!
Zwei: Bark!
WF Guard 1: What was that?
Having heard the WF Guard, Ruby hides behind some ruins.
WF Guard 2: What was what?
WF Guard 1: I thought I heard a Beowolf or something
WF Guard 2: Hmph. Let's just finish our patrol and get back to base. This place gives me the creeps...
As the WF Guards walk away, Ruby and Zwei sneak around in the background, following them.
They eventually reach a ruined building with a pair of metal doors, and Ruby hides behind a corner, holding Zwei out to watch them.
Ruby: Did they go in yet? One bark means yes
The sound of the door closing echoes out.
Zwei: Bark!
Ruby: Oh! This is it! This is it!
She brings out a small scroll and tries to call her teammates. However, the screen says "Low Signal."
Ruby: Aw man! Come on, we gotta get the others!
Ruby and Zwei hurry off down the street. However, the asphalt beneath them suddenly sinks before caving in. Ruby grabs onto a ledge and catches Zwei.
She tosses him up out of the hole and begins to attempt to pull herself up. However, the ledge she is holding onto breaks off, and she plummets into a huge cave filled with ruined buildings, far below the surface.
She lands on a building up against a cavern wall, and as she gets up, a nearby door bursts open to reveal two other WF Guards, one of whom is Perry.
WF Guard: Freeze!
WF Guard: Where did she come from?
As the WF Guards walk forward, Ruby backs away only to end up on the very edge of the platform.
WF Guard: You're a long way from home, lady...
Ruby reaches back for her scythe, only to realize that she doesn't have it. Both guards approach her, and one of them grabs her arm.
Ruby: Hey! Hands off!
Ruby jerks her arm out of the guard's hand and starts punching him. It has very little effect, and he punches her in the face hard enough to knock her down.
Ruby: Why won't you hurry up and awaken Viltrumite powers...
WF Guard: The boss is gonna want to see this one...
The guard kicks her in the head hard enough to knock her out.
...
...
...
Yang: Hey Weiss, it's your... Ruby? Hey, where's Ruby?
Superior:What?
Zwei comes running into the room, barking.
Yang: Zwei?
Blake: What's going on?
Superior: Grab your weapons! Ruby may be in trouble
...
...
...
Ruby awakes to the two WF Guards who caught her dragging her by both arms through the underground city.
All around her, White Fang members are at work, doing various things such as piloting a Paladin to carry large shipping containers.
There is a loud sound nearby as one of the White Fang members drops a large device.
WF Guard 3: Hey, be careful! What are you trying to do, blow us to the moon?
WF Guard 4: Sorry, sir!
Perry: Hey boss! Found something you might want to see!
Ilia: (Inside of a railcar) Is it good or bad, Perry? Because let me tell ya, I have had a day...
Perry: Uh, it's a human woman?
Ilia: (She leans out through the doorway and sees Ruby) That would be bad...
...
...
...
Zwei leads Superior and Ruby's teammates to the hole that Ruby falls into, and Yang spots Crescent Rose next to the hole.
Yang: Ruby's scythe!
Blake: Oh no...
Weiss: Do you think she fell?
Superior: (Looks up) Fell?
Weiss: Down there
Superior: (Looks down at the hole) Oh my. Of course!
Blake: What is it?
Superior: How could I be so stupid?!
Yang: Daddy, what's wrong?
Superior: Mountain Glenn! Yes, an expansion of Vale that was inevitably destroyed by creatures of Grimm! Previously home to thousands of people! Working people commuting to the city, the main city! Developed a subway system to the inner city! Grimm attacks increased! Population in danger, now desperately searching for shelter! City evacuates into the metro tunnels, and what do they find? The southeast quadrant of Vale is known for wild forests and deep caves
Yang: Daddy, what are you saying?
Superior: Ladies, we're not just looking for an underground crime network. We're looking for an UNDERGROUND crime network!
Blake: They've been working in caves?
Superior: No, no, Mountain Glenn was Vale's first serious attempt at expansion. It worked for a short period of time, thanks to an aggressive perimeter defence and unique transportation; the city developed an elaborate subway system to carry citizens safely from the new territory into the main Kingdom! Sadly, without the many natural barriers Vale had to protect its borders, Mountain Glenn was doomed from the start! As the end drew near, the citizens of the territory made one last attempt at survival: They took up shelter beneath the city! In massive caves that they had cleared out for the subway. And they had cut themselves off from the surface
Yang: An underground village?
Superior: In a matter of speaking, yes. A safe haven. Until... an explosion opened the mouth of another cavern, filled with subterranean Grimm. After that, the Kingdom officially sealed off the tunnels, creating the world's largest tomb. If Ruby is down there (Looks down the hole the whole with a serious expression), we must find her...
