The large arena holds hundreds of thousands of people in it all here to watch the race. 

The two-headed announcer says, "Toogi! Toogie! (Greetings) Toong mee cha kulkah du Boonta magi! tah oos azalus ooval Poddraces. (We have perfect weather today for the Boonta classic. The most hazardous of all Podraces.) , That's absolutely right. And a big turnout here, from all corners of the Outer Rim territories. I see the contestants are making their way out onto the starting grid."

Selena sees Sebulba from yesterday waving to all of his fans as the announcer announces his name and she can't help but roll her eyes.

"Be safe", Shmi tells her son as they embrace.

"I will Mom I promise", Anakin promised.

When Anakins name is announced he waves to the crowd and gets ready to race.

 Selena comes and presses a kiss to Anakin's cheek and says, "Good luck Ani". 

"I won't let you down", Anakin says and Selena moves back to stand next to Qui-Gon. 

After a few seconds, Anakin's engine starts and he speeds off and the group all lets out a breath of relief.

The group all watches Anakin race through the screens and Selena picks at her nails to help ease some of her anxiety about the safety of Anakin.

"Looks like a few Tusken Raiders have camped out on the canyon dune turn"

Selena sees Qui-Gon meditating but she just continues to watch Anakin race. She sees the Quadrinos' pod stop working 

After the pod dropped Sebulba enteres the arena followed by the other racers. Selena startes to look around for any and all signs of Anakin. 

Padme and Selena are both looking around when they catch sight of a familiar pod. 

"Is that?", Padme asks. 

Selena smiles, "Yeah that's Anakin here he comes"

"Looks like Skywalker is moving up the field"

Selena was so proud of Anakin as he reaches lap two. When the third and final lap came around Anakin was right behind Sebulba. 

Sebulba used the side of his exhaust port to try to cut through Anakin's engines. When Anakin avoided his efforts he was forced off the course.

"Skywalker's been forced onto the service ramp"

"I really hate that thing", Selena said talking about Sebulba as she clenches her fists in anger. 

Anakin quickly recovered and came upon the corner and quickly dove, taking the lead. 

"It's Skywalker! Amazing.. a quick controlled thrust and he's back on course"

Qui-Gon and Selena watched as Sebulba grew angrier and angrier and he tried to push Anakin off the course again.

"Skywalker's in trouble, Sebulba takes the lead"

Anakin and Sebulba raced side by side for the final stretch of the race making the group nervous. 

"Careful, Ani, Careful", Jar-Jar shouted at the Skywalker boy. 

The two pods managed to get stuck together as the announcer says, "That little human is out of his mind".

Anakin fought to pull away from Sebulba and was successful the release caused Sebulba to crash. 

When Anakin flew by the crowd they were all cheering the boy on, but no one cheered louder than Selena. 

When Anakin crossed over the finish line Selena and Qui-Gon cheered, Padme smiled relieved, and Shmi looked like the proudest mother in the world. 

"It's Skywalker and the crowd is going nuts!", the announcer says. 

"Mom I did it!", Anakin says running to his mother and his friends.

Selena ran to Anakin and said."Ani you did it! You were amazing out there".

The Skywalker boy wastes no time as he engulfs the padawan in a hug as she returns the gesture. 

"Thank you", Anakin exclaimed.

Jar- Jar also gave the boy a hug as Padme says, " Good job Anakin we owe you everything".

Selena and Anakin slid off the back of their shared Eopie as Selena take sight of the Naboo spacecraft. 

Selena starts to walk toward the ship but stops at the sound of Anakin's voice. 

"Selena, Master Qui-Gon Sir wait"

When Qui- Gon turns around he sees a figure in a dark cloak. 

"Selena, Anakin drop", Qui- Gon yells. 

Selena drops down and pulls Anakin with her as the cloaked figure jumps off his speeder and lunges towards the Jedi Master. 

Selena grips her lightsaber to help but Qui-Gon yells, "Go and help Anakin to ship hurry and tell them to take off". 

The two run to the ship and run immediately to Obi-Wan as Anakin announces, "Qui-Gon's in trouble. He says to take off...now!!"

"Who's this?" Captain Panaka asks. 

"He's a friend", Padme says from where she was standing next to Obi-Wan. 

When they take off and fly near Qui-Gon he jumps onto the ship leaving the cloaked figure behind. 

"Master Qui-Gon are you okay?", Selena asks being the first one by his side. 

"Yes I'm fine, That was a surprise I won't soon forget". 

"What was it?", Obi-Wan asks his master. 

"I don't know... but he was well trained in the Jedi arts. My guess is he was after the Queen...", Qui- Gon says.

Selena was relieved that Qui-Gon got away but she had this feeling that this was not the last of the figure they would see, she was right.
