Ending the year with a sweet update♥️

Annika looked at her right side as Shivaay drove them to their date spot for the night. She could notice the sudden change in his demeanor. She could spot nervousness in his eyes, the way his shoulders were tensed up and tapping fingers over the steering wheel as they were nearing the place he was taking them.

"Babe..", she called out and found him still lost in his thoughts.

"Shivaay", she called out again keeping hand on his shoulder making him glance at him coming out of his thoughts.

"Huh? You were saying something?", he asked with a smile.

"You are lost somewhere", she blinked making him shake his head.

"Nothing baby. Just some thoughts regarding Allure", he said with a smile making her blink.

"Shivaay if you have some work we can postpone our date to tomorrow. I'll be free tomorrow", she said keeping hand on his arm.

"No baby, it's nothing something important. Just random thoughts. I just want this night to be ours", he said softly bringing a smile on her face. She gently caressed his stubble who pecked her inner palm.

"So where are we going?", she asked again making him laugh and held her hand firmly.

"Just 20 minutes more baby", he said kissing her hand firmly. She pouted but then hummed.

"Okay. Just fast now! I can wait more", she said jutting her lower lip down. He slowed down car and leans in front of her pecking her lips.

"I love you. Just wait", he whispered softly making her smile softly and nod.

Annika smiled widely as Shivaay opened door for him. Giving her hand in his, she got down from the car as they stood in front of a resort. She looked towards him.

"This is where I wished to bring you today, hope you like every thing ahead baby", he said gently kissing her cheek. She smiled clasping their fingers together.

"I am loving this already", she smiled making him nod and they went ahead. They were welcomed by the manager of the resort who himself escorted them inside towards the private area which Shivaay booked.

It was a beach facing room which was decorated with candles, fairy lights with complimentary sparkling drink shots arranged in a tray kept on the bed from resort. A table for two arrangement was done outside at the beach.

The manager left after escorting them. Shivaay brought two shots from the bed giving one to her and wrapped arm around her shoulder. She had a surprised smile on her face.

"I didn't know we'll be staying here itself at night", she asked looking at him and took a sip letting the sweet water touch her throat.

"It will get quite late at night and I don't want to drive having you with me midnight, we have a forest area to cover before reaching city. Also, I thought as we have a lazy day for both of us tomorrow, we can spend some time away from the city here", he said making her nod with a smile.

"That's a nice idea. Even I just want to stay with you away from all the tensions", she said softly wrapping her arms around his torso making him smile and peck her head.

"Let's go?", he forward his hand making her nod giving in her hand in his. He took them out at the beach area towards the table.

The soft cold breeze was coming from the sea making the atmosphere pleasing. The sky was twinkling with stars and shining under the moonlight. Everything was looking beautiful but their togetherness was the main thing making Shivaay and Annika happy.

"You were planning all this while I was away for work?", she asked feeling touched by all the arrangements. He smiled kissing her cheek.

"Anything to make you happy baby. I know how much you love our simple dates. I just wanted to make this one little more beautiful", he said and went to her side pulling out chair for her.

"One second", she said with a smile and pulled out the chair of his side making him chuckle at her cuteness.

"My man also deserves special treatment", she said softly and held his hand. He kissed back of her palm making her smile more. Both settled down on their seats.

Their favourite pesto parmesan pasta, alio olio speghetti, stir fried vegetables, garlic bread were present as their dinner for the night. Shivaay opened the bottle of sparkling rosé champagne pouring it in two glasses.

"Cheers to our love", he said softly forwarding his glass. She clinked hers repeating the same words and took a sip.

"The food is so delicious", she said taking a spoonful of pasta with a pleased face. He smiled seeing her enjoy the food and nodded.

"I specially mentioned them to make food a little spicy as per your taste" he said, one of his hands still holding her another hand.

"But you don't prefer spicy food na", she said softly to which he shrugged.

"Sometimes it's fine. Besides, anything for you, my love. I know your love for spicy food", he said chuckling making her give a sheepish smile. They finished their dinner talking over random topics. Their laughs and giggles were lingering in the air showing how happy they are together.

"It was really good. A soulful meal after a tiring day", she said after wiping her mouth. He smiled and leaned forward gently removing food particles stuck in corner of her mouth. She blushed softly.

"Dessert?", he asked making her nod. Exhaling, he got up from his seat and took his chair beside her. She blinked confused but smiles having him close to her.

"You look excited for dessert", she asked narrowing eyes with a hint of smile on her lips. He shrugged.

"Maybe I am. I am waiting for dessert today", he said whispering looking in her eyes and glances at her lips before winking. She blushed seeing his eyes changing it's colour and hit his shoulder. He chuckled pecking her lips and clapped his hands.

She looked around and saw a server coming with a plate covered with steel dome-shaped cover. He kept it in front of them. Annika mumbled a thank you to which he nodded and went.

Shivaay lifted the cover making Annika go awe seeing the dessert. He chuckled seeing her face.

"Aww Shivaay! This is so cute!", she gushed at the cake kept in front of him. It was a small chocolate, lemon and strawberry crush fondant cake decorated with edible flowers & petals and macroon.

"This cake is so adorable", she chuckled making him chuckle too and pecked her head.

"I thought ice cream and pastery is usual so I asked to bake a small cake for us", she asked making her smile at the cake.

"It's really cute and hmm, it smells so good too!", she exclaimed at the end as the fruity fragrance of the cake entered her nostrils. He gave her the knife.

"Cut it", he said softly looking at her face smiling softly. She held his hand and made both of them hold the knife.

"We both will cut it together", she said and held knife firmly with him. Gently, both cut atleast half of the cake. He took the piece in his hand and forward to her mouth. She happily open her mouth taking the tasty treat to her mouth.

He made her eat it and looked at her curiously. Annika closed her eyes feeling the burst of flavours in her mouth but before she could chew it, she felt something in her mouth. Something cold and metallic. She looked at him who was smiling softly looking at her.

Taking a napkin, she took it out from her mouth and gasped seeing a shiny diamond ring on the napkin. She looked at him shocked who smiled and took the ring wiping it.

"Shiv.. Shivaay?", she muttered whispering guessing what's coming ahead. He hummed taking the ring and looked at her with soften eyes.

"Annika", he held her hands in his hands and kissed them, "when I first met, I had no plans of getting married at that point. I was slowly getting into most eligible bachelors of India and mom was behind me all the time to meet girls, talk to them so I get into relationship but I never gave attention to them because I always believed when I have to get someone, I will get her. I don't need to search her. She'll eventually come to me. And then you entered my life", he said smiling whereas she was already in tears.

"The first time I saw in that photoshoot, I won't deny I felt an urge, a pull towards you but it was so little that I didn't acknowledged it. Then we met, not a good first met", he said making her chuckle, "eventually I started seeing you, your nature, your profession in other light. I realised that I feel for you. It was more than friends and finally building up courage I asked you out. I slowly fell in love with you, I slowly got addicted to your presence in my life, I needed you around me all the time. Your voice, your touch, your smile, the sound of your laugh, all became important part of my daily life. I realised that I seriously didn't needed to search you but I always want to chase you, always want to walk with you", he said feeling emotional while she was already crying silently.

"And that's why, I can't live without you anymore Annika. You know, dadi always said to me don't marry someone without whom you can't live, marry someone with whom you want to live Annika. Baby, it's you", he said softly and kneel down making her break down into tears cupping her mouth.

"In these six to seven months of us dating, not even once I felt that I know you just frim few months. It feels like you were always present in my life. You have left your impression not only on my heart but on my soul baby. I know we love together and those cheesy lines like I want to wake up every morning seeing your face and sleep having you in my arms is reality to us so I am not going to say it. I want to say that I want to cook breakfast for you even when we turn old, I want to hold your hand when we won't be able to walk without stick. I want to grow old with you baby", he said with tears himself and forward his hand.

"Long story short", he chuckled, "will you marry me Annika?", he asked very softly as his voice felt heavy being emotional.

"Shivaay, are you sure? I mean, we can wait", she said through tears flowing down her cheeks.

"I am more sure than anything in my life Annika, I am sure I want to love you for entire life. Remember I asked you to be mine when I asked you out?", he asked softly making her nod with tears.

"Please be mine officially, Annika", he whispered softly. She sniffed hearing him, she would see tears lining in his eyes too. She nodded wiping her nose with back of her palm.

"I want to be yours officially, Shivaay", she said crying giving her hand in his hand holding it while crying. He pressed his lips feeling emotional and made her wear ring.

She kneeled down immediately and hugged him crying. He smiled letting his tears flow too and kissed her head firmly while wiping her cheeks parting a bit.

"I love you", he said softly her nod with a smile and cupped his cheeks.

"I love you so much Shivaay", she said with her crying face.

She didn't care how she looked, whether her make up was fine, her eyeliner was smudged or not. She felt happy from her heart the moment Shivaay asked her hand. Deep down in her heart, she knew she was more than ready to marry him. She knew he is her one and she would love to become officially his but wanted to wait as long as he want. He was the one whom she needed in her darkest night, her greyest days. He is the one whom she wants to celebrate her smallest to biggest happiness. His smile is like a warm sweater which warms her heart.

"You don't know how happy I am right now", she said kissing his forehead firmly cupping his cheeks. He held her waist himself crying in happiness.

Having woman like Annika in his life was nothing less than blessing to him. In small span of time, she became his best friend, his confidant, his peace, everything he ever needed. She was both his weakness and strength, she was both the reason of his heart being restless and calm. She was the anchor to his ship, mirage to his desert, first drop of rain on his parched land. She's the nightingale to his dense forest.

"I am happiest man on the planet right now, pumpkin. Maybe not only of this planet, Mars, Venus Mercury, I don't know but I am luckiest to have you", he said making her giggle hugging him again. He hugged her tightly kissing her hair.

She blinked and parted from him suddenly making him confused. She bit her lower lip and he could see the questions in her eyes.

"Before you think I proposed you because of your mom's words, it is nothing like that baby", he said cupping her cheeks.

"You promise?", she asked softly with worried eyes. She did not wanted him to take such special step in their life just because of her mother's wish.

"Yes baby. I promise. See I won't deny I gave light to this topic after your mom's wish but then proposing you, planning all this was my idea. I realised she is not wrong Annika, even if we are dating from few months, I think we are ready to take this step in our life. I know you are all ready to marry", he said softly at end making her look at him.

"Are you ready?", she asked softly caressing his stubble.

"Trust me, if you ask me to marry you right now, I'll marry you", he said making her chuckle and hit his chest gently.

"What? I am serious. Anyways, your dad knows I am proposing you today", he said shrugging making her eyes widen.

"What? You planned it with him?", she asked confused.

"I won't say I planned with him but I asked his permission, your hand from him before proposing you. Though, I have to still formally ask him again tomorrow", he muttered at last making her go awe and kissed his cheek firmly.

"You are so adorable Shiv! I didn't know my boyfriend is so obedient, asking my dad and all huh?", she said teasing by end. He chuckled.

"Though idea of marrying you without telling anyone and then surprising sounds tempting, I know both of us want everything to go through order and our culture", he said making her smile and nod.

"Also, I am your fiance now", he said smiling making her blush softly and looked down at the diamond shining on her ring finger.

Annika came out after changing in the satin shorts- tee set provided by the resort. She saw Shivaay already laying on the bed in a pair of pants, of course his upper body being bare, going to his phone probably checking his e-mails.

She got inside the bed and scooted closer to him. He smiled seeing her and kept the phone away and pecked her head.

"Hey fiancé", she said kissing his chest as he wrapped arms around her pulling her body closer to his. He chuckled kissing her head.

"Hello to my beautiful fiancée too. You are looking more beautiful today", he said making her smile at him.

"It is your love that is making me glow", she replied caressing his chest, "and being your fiancée is making me feel more happy", she whispered looking at her ring. He held her hand and gently kissed her finger over ring.

"This looks made for you", he muttered caressing her finger. She looked at him and pecks his lips.

"I am sure it is custom made for me, Mr. Oberoi", she said giggling making him give a sheepish smile.

"My pumpkin deserves everything best", he said and cupped her cheeks gently caressing them. She moved closer and joined their lips kissing him.

His hand moved back at her nape pulling her closer deepening the kiss making her open up her mouth. She moaned moving her fingers in his hair clutching them kissing him with same passion as hers.

"You are so addicting Annika", he groaned moving down kissing her neck making her arch back, moaning his name. She hissed as he bit her crook before sucking there giving her a hickey. He nuzzled there wrapping arms around her waist.

"I love you Shivaay", she whispers calming her breath and looked down at him. He smiled keeping head on her chest and looked at her.

"I love you too pumpkin", he whispered coming up and pecked her lips.

"Now you are officially mine, there's no going back as you are stuck with me", he said making her giggle.

"I am happy stuck with you, Mr. Oberoi", she said rubbing their nose together feeling his breath fanning on her face.

"Now, it's you and me forever, future Mrs. Oberoi", he whispered before taking her into another soul searing kiss making her smile and wrap arms around his neck.
