WHO DID IT?!
*****

Taki woke up with a mission.

His stomach grumbled as he stretched, already dreaming about the snacks he had strategically hidden in the bottom drawer of his suitcase. The others could be menaces when it came to food, so he had taken precautions.

Yawning, he shuffled over, crouched down, and pulled open the drawer.

Empty.

Taki froze.

No. No way.

He dug through his clothes, patting down every inch of the suitcase. He checked under the bed. He even sniffed his hoodie, just in case the scent of stolen chips lingered.

His secret snack stash was gone.

Silence filled the room before—

"WHO DID IT?!"

The group gathered in the living area, some still in pajamas, some too tired to care about whatever ridiculous drama Taki had cooked up this time.

Maki leaned against the couch, arms crossed. "You dragged us all out here because your snacks are missing?"

"Not just snacks! MY snacks!" Taki pointed an accusing finger at the group. "Someone in this room is a thief."

K sighed. "Can this wait until after breakfast?"

"NO!" Taki slammed his hands on the table. "Justice must be served!"

Yuma grinned. "Well, if it's a case we're solving..." He suddenly pulled out a pair of sunglasses from who-knows-where and slid them on. "Detective Yuma is on the case."

Fuma groaned. "Oh no."

"Yes." Yuma adjusted his imaginary detective hat. "We'll start with questioning the suspects." He turned dramatically toward Harua. "Where were you at 2 AM last night?"

Harua blinked. "Practicing."

Yuma narrowed his eyes. "Suspicious."

EJ rolled his eyes. "That's the least suspicious thing anyone could be doing."

Nicholas smirked. "Unless he was practicing how to steal snacks undetected."

Harua sighed. "I don't even like Taki's snacks."

Taki gasped. "How dare you."

Jo sighed, rubbing his temples. "Can we hurry this up?"

Yuma nodded. "Fine. Next suspect: K."

K blinked. "Why am I a suspect?"

"You're the oldest. You know everything."

"That's not how this works."

"Sounds like something a guilty person would say."

K exhaled through his nose, already regretting his life choices.

Taki turned to Fuma. "What about you?"

Fuma raised an eyebrow. "You think I stole from you? My snacks are better than yours."

"Okay, first of all? Rude."

Maki, who had been silent until now, suddenly spoke. "Maybe it was Nicholas."

Nicholas scoffed. "Excuse me?"

Maki shrugged. "You're always eating. Seems logical."

Nicholas put a hand on his chest, looking deeply offended. "How dare you profile me like that?"

EJ smirked. "Because it's true?"

"Okay, but if I had stolen them," Nicholas said, leaning forward, "there would've been no evidence left."

Taki clapped his hands. "EXACTLY—Wait, what?"

Maki groaned, flopping onto the couch. "Can we just check the security cameras or something?"

Yuma gasped. "Genius. The truth will reveal itself."

K pulled up the security footage on his phone, fast-forwarding through the night. The group huddled around him, watching the screen closely.

"There! That's when I went to bed!" Taki pointed.

A few minutes later, a shadowy figure appeared near Taki's suitcase.

Everyone leaned in.

The figure crouched, opened the drawer... and started eating.

Taki gasped. "I KNEW IT! A THIEF!"

Jo squinted. "Wait..."

The figure turned toward the camera.

K sighed disapprovingly

Nicholas choked. "Oh my god."

Fuma covered his mouth.

Maki stared.

EJ snorted.

Harua looked away.

Yuma dramatically removed his sunglasses.

The thief was... Taki.

Silence.

Taki stared at the screen, watching past-Taki munching away, completely zoned out. Half-asleep.

He had stolen his own snacks.

"No," he whispered.

"Yes," Fuma said, barely holding back laughter.

"No way."

"Oh, way," Nicholas said, grinning.

Jo smirked. "How does it feel to be the culprit and the victim?"

Taki buried his face in his hands. "I hate everything."

Yuma patted his shoulder. "Case closed."

K shook his head. "I'm never waking up for one of your 'emergencies' again."

The others laughed as they left, while Taki sat there, mourning his own stupidity.

"I can't believe I robbed myself," he mumbled.

EJ clapped him on the back. "Hey, at least we know you have good taste."

Taki groaned. He was never living this down.
