The Bet That Backfired- TakiMaki

It started as a simple bet. The loser had to do whatever the winner said for an entire day. Maki lost. And Taki? He took full advantage. Unfortunately for him, karma had a good memory.

I'm never making another bet with you again

One simple bet. One brutal consequence. Maki loses and is stuck obeying Taki's ridiculous demands for a whole day.

Maki stood frozen as Taki leaned in with a Cheshire cat grin. "Alright, let's begin."

Maki sighed. "I'm going to regret this."

"Oh, absolutely," Taki said, already pulling out his phone. "First order of business—when you introduce yourself today, I want you to say you're my biggest fan."

Maki blinked. "You're joking."

"I never joke about bets."

Maki gritted his teeth as the team captain approached. "Morning, guys."

Taki nudged him.

Maki inhaled sharply. "Hi, I'm Maki... Taki's biggest fan."

The silence was deafening. The members eyebrow lifted.

"He's so talented and handsome and inspirational," Maki continued, voice dripping with pain.

Taki smirked. "Don't be shy. Say more."

Maki clenched his fist. "I physically cannot."

EJ patted his shoulder. "You'll get through this."

Maki wasn't so sure.

Taki held out his arms. "Maki, carry me to practice."

Maki stared. "I am not carrying you."

Taki smiled sweetly. "A bet's a bet."

Two minutes later, Taki was draped over Maki's shoulder like a sack of rice.

"This isn't exactly how I imagined it," Taki mused, waving at passersby. "But I'll allow it."

Maki adjusted his grip—roughly. "Hope you enjoy bruises."

Maki knew Taki was creative, but this was evil.

Matching neon tracksuits.

"You planned this," Maki accused as Taki tossed him one.

Taki shrugged. "Gotta be prepared."

Maki sighed as he pulled it on. The moment they stepped outside, Nicholas whistled. "Looking sharp, gentlemen."

"I want to die," Maki muttered.

"Not before tomorrow. You still owe me a full day," Taki reminded him cheerfully.

"Maki, act like my bodyguard."

Maki crossed his arms and stood behind Taki all day, glaring at anyone who got too close.

"Sir, I'm gonna have to ask you to back up," he deadpanned when their coach walked by.
Taki nearly choked trying not to laugh.

"Maki, feed me."

"You have hands."

"I don't make the rules. Oh wait—I do."

Maki shoved a spoonful of rice into Taki's mouth with zero patience.

Unfortunately for Taki, the very next day, the tables turned.

Taki stared at the cards in front of him. Then at Maki's smug expression.

"No," he whispered.

"Oh yes," Maki said, folding his arms. "I won this time."

Taki leaned back in horror. "You wouldn't."

Maki cracked his knuckles. "Oh, but I would."

First order of business? Taki, carry my bag all day.

"WHAT DO YOU EVEN HAVE IN HERE?" Taki groaned under the weight of Maki's ridiculously overpacked sports bag.

"Regret," Maki answered. "Yours

Next up? Tell everyone I'm cooler than you.

Taki dragged his feet up to a group of teammates. "Maki is..." He exhaled like it physically hurt. "...cooler than me."

"Yeah, we know," Yuma said without looking up.

Taki clutched his chest. "This hurts more than it should."

By lunchtime, Maki ordered: Taki, buy me snacks. With your money.

"Okay, but just one thing," Taki said, trying to set limits.

Ten minutes later, he was carrying three bags of chips, two sodas, and an overpriced dessert.

"You planned this," Taki muttered.

Maki smirked. "Gotta be prepared."

Then came the worst one. Taki, introduce yourself as my biggest fan today.

Taki's eye twitched. "You copied me."

"Poetic justice," Maki said.

So there Taki stood, forcing out the cursed words.

"I'm Taki, and I'm Maki's biggest fan," he said, forcing a smile.

Maki leaned in. "Say I'm talented."

Taki's fists clenched. "Maki is so talented and cool and strong and—" He gagged mid-sentence. "I CAN'T DO THIS."

Maki patted his head. "You did your best."

Taki collapsed onto the table. "I'm never making another bet with you again."

Maki smirked. "Sure you won't."

And just like that, the cycle continued
