From Fake to Fate - KTaki
Here's a continuation where K and Taki reluctantly (or not so reluctantly) decide to "fake date" to keep up the act... only to realize they might not be faking at all.

"I think we should kiss."
*****
Taki wasn't sure how he got here. One minute, he was minding his business, and the next, K was sliding his hand into his like it was the most natural thing in the world.
The entire situation was spiraling.
After their viral moment, teasing had evolved into full-on chaos. Their management even suggested they play along for a bit—fan engagement, they said. Not that Taki had much say when K shrugged and went, "Might as well."
Now they were "fake dating," except no one told his heart that.
Day 1: The Beginning of the End
"Smile, boyfriend," K teased, nudging Taki as they posed for a quick photo.
Taki tried. Really, he did. But K had this infuriating, effortless way of making everything feel real. His arm draped lazily around Taki's shoulder. The soft way he spoke his name. The way he looked at him with eyes that lingered a little too long.
And the worst part? It was working.
Comments flooded in. "They're so cute together." "The chemistry is insane." "K has never looked at anyone like that before."
That one made Taki's stomach flip.
Day 2: PDA Training
"So, what's the plan?" Taki asked, sitting cross-legged on the couch.
K smirked. "Simple. We act couple-y in public."
Taki narrowed his eyes. "Define 'couple-y.'"
K shrugged. "Holding hands, cute stares, maybe a little—" He tapped his cheek.
Taki shot up. "We are not kissing!"
K laughed, clearly enjoying his reaction. "Relax, I was kidding."
Taki crossed his arms. "Good."
K leaned in slightly, smirking. "Unless... you want to?"
Taki smacked his arm. "Shut up."
Day 4: The Hand-Holding Incident
It was supposed to be just another day out—get coffee, take a few fake-dating-approved photos, go home.
But then Taki reached for his drink at the same time as K, and their hands brushed.
Electricity. Actual, physical sparks.
Taki yanked his hand away like he'd touched fire. K just tilted his head, amused. "Dramatic."
Taki scowled. "I wasn't—"
"Then why are you blushing?"
Taki swore he wasn't. Until he saw his reflection in the café window. Oh, this was bad.
Day 5: The Grocery Store Incident
They had a free day and ended up at the store, pretending to shop like a totally normal, totally not fake couple.
K casually grabbed Taki's wrist. "Hold the basket."
Taki huffed but complied, trailing behind as K inspected different snacks. Then K turned, holding up a box of chocolates.
"This is couple-y, right?" K teased.
Taki rolled his eyes. "Buying chocolate? Wow, how romantic."
K smirked and—without warning—unwrapped a piece and popped it into Taki's mouth.
Taki nearly choked. "WHAT—"
"Good, right?" K asked, grinning.
Taki had no response. Just heat creeping up his neck. This was dangerous
Day 7: The "Fake" Date
It was meant to be a show for the cameras. Nothing more.
But K held the door open for him. Pulled out his chair. Listened intently whenever Taki spoke, nodding along with that small, genuine smile. And at some point, Taki forgot the cameras were even there.
He laughed too easily. Fell into K's touch too naturally.
And when K casually wiped a crumb from his lip, Taki's brain short-circuited completely.
K must've noticed. "Relax," he murmured. "We have to sell it, right?"
Taki nodded. Right. Selling it. Just acting.
So why did it feel so real?
Day 8: The "Jealousy" Prank
Nicholas had been teasing them all week, so Taki had an idea. A terrible idea.
During dinner, he casually sat next to Nicholas instead of K.
And—just to sell it—he laughed a little too much at Nicholas's jokes, leaned in a little too close.
Then he felt it.
K's eyes.
Dark, unreadable. And locked directly on him.
Taki smirked. Gotcha.
"What's up with you?" Nicholas asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Nothing," K said smoothly, taking a bite of his food. But his grip on his fork? Tight.
Taki tried not to laugh. That is—until K stood up, walked over, and stole Taki's chair.
"What the—" Taki started, only for K to yank him down onto his lap.
"Sit here instead," K said casually.
Taki.exe stopped working.
Nicholas? Cackling.
Mission failed.
Day 10: The Moment It All Fell Apart
They were watching a movie with the rest of the members, sitting closer than necessary, when K did it.
He reached over, rested his head on Taki's shoulder like it was nothing.
And Taki... melted.
Heart racing, stomach flipping, face burning—he was done for.
His fingers twitched against the couch. Slowly, hesitantly, he let himself lean into K's warmth.
Maybe—just maybe—this wasn't fake anymore.
Day 11: Sleepy Confessions
Taki swore he'd sleep in his own bed.
But after a long day, he somehow ended up dozing off in the living room, curled up next to K.
At some point in the night, a blanket appeared over him. A soft voice murmured, "You're really cute when you sleep, you know that?"
Taki was almost unconscious, barely registering the words. But something warm settled in his chest before sleep fully took over.
Day 12: The Almost Kiss
It was after practice. They were the last ones in the studio, exhausted but too lazy to move.
K turned to him suddenly. "Hey, Taki."
"Hm?"
"I think we should kiss."
Taki nearly choked on air. "EXCUSE ME?!"
K laughed. "Not like that. Just—" He hesitated. "If we do it once, we won't be awkward if someone catches us."
Taki's brain went into full shutdown mode. "That's the dumbest excuse I've ever heard."
"Yeah, but you didn't say no," K pointed out.
Taki opened his mouth—then closed it.
K just grinned.
"...We are not kissing," Taki muttered, looking away.
K hummed. "We'll see."
Taki was doomed.
Day 14: Confession
"Taki."
K's voice was quieter than usual. Serious.
Taki turned, trying not to get lost in the intensity of his gaze. "Yeah?"
"This... it's not fake for you, is it?"
Taki's heart stopped. His mouth opened, closed, then opened again. "I—"
Before he could finish, K reached for his hand, fingers curling around his own.
"Good," K said, a small smile playing on his lips. "Because it's not fake for me either."
Taki exhaled. And then he laughed—giddy, relieved, overwhelmed all at once.
"What?" K asked, amused.
Taki squeezed his hand. "I can't believe I fell for my fake boyfriend."
K smirked. "Correction: real boyfriend."
And just like that, their "fake" dating experiment had officially ended.
Or, really, just begun.
