黒執事 Chapter 1; Butler 'n' Maid, Too Skillful

In a mist covered forest, not far from London, there lies a manor. The distinguish noble family of Phantomhive morning event is started off with early tea. Nothing is better than an early breakfast tea for the master. Especially when the master is 13 years old. The usual butler, Sebastian Mechaliswho is tall, handsome adult with black hair, red eyes, and pale skin. He wears black trousers, a six-button double-breasted tailcoat, and a grey vest. The Phantomhive crest decorating the cuff and the tie. He then used his white-gloved hand to get the morning started.

"Young master, it's time to wake up now. Today's breakfast of poached salmon and mint salad has been prepared. Side dishes of toast, scones and campage have been baked. Which one would you like?" Sebastian asked as he finished pouring the tea.
The smell of the tea made the little master wake up. He groaned a little bit before groaning. He had bluish-black hair and rich, deep blue eyes. He waddled his thin arms and legs. Dragging his slim shoulder and his narrow waist. He was dressed in a huge white shirt at the moment.

"The scone..." Ceil groaned and then sniffed the air, "That scent...Is it Ceylon tea today?"
"Yes, and we'll be using the Royal Doulton dishes," Sebastian answered as he calmly helped his 13 years old master get changed to his royal clothing, "Preparations have been made with Wedgwood Blue-White tea set."
"Today's plans?"
"After breakfast, you will see the authority on Monarch Study, Professor Hugh."
"So then after is...?"

+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

A huge bong echoed through the manor. The sound was the sound of a fight between Sebastian and a weird stranger. Sebastian stood there and sighed while the stranger took a martial art like position. Two maids and two servants stood behind Ceil, who sat in a very elegant chair. Beside him was Tanaka, the former head butler. Tanaka is an elderly man with grey hair and a moustache. He wore a sophisticated suit, white gloves, and was holding an instrument that signalled a fight between the Butler and the stranger. Wind blew as a tumbleweed rolled along the ground. The women took action first.

"TAKE THIS!," the women yelled, "Flower Bird Wind Moon All Kinds of Flowers Profusion Fist!"
She then suddenly did some odd moves and ran towards Sebastian who stood there calmly. He then quickly grabbed his gloves and opened his eyes big and wide. With a sudden flash, Sebastian moved and with a flash, the strange women fell towards the ground scoffing blood on the pavement. She didn't take defeat as an answer. She was nothing but a sore loser.
"Th-that was our school last hidden technique...!! Super Tiger Dragon Gun Ten Thousand Blossom Scattering Fissure Fist... WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE  YOU!" she yelled back.

"I'm a butler of the house Phantomhive. What would you do if you couldn't use that technique?" Sebastian asked as he clapped off the blood on his gloves, "And that's how it is, young master. Because I won please do today's review and tomorrow's pre-lesson."
Ceil only clicked his tongue in response. Behind Ceil one of the maids and two of the servants were admiring Sebastian with sparkles in their eyes.
"Wow, this house's butler is amazing!" Bardroy commented.
Bardroy was the tallest out of the four servants that stood behind Ceil, his master. Bardroy has dirty blond hair and turquoise eyes. He wore a long white apron and the usual chef uniform. Bardroy usually has a cigarette dangling from his mouth and goggles hanging loosely around his neck. He still has it now.

"You were faster than lightning, Sebastian," Mey-rin said with a blush.
Mey-rin is the Phantomhive household's young maid.  She has straight, maroon-red hair, which is tied in high pigtails, and hazel eyes with extraordinary vision, which she keeps hidden behind a pair of large, thick, and overly round glasses. She wore a midnight blue dress with matching buttons and white with ruffles around the shoulders. Additionally, she wears brown, knee-high boots, a white frilly cap, and long, black stockings, which are held up by a garter belt.
"That was amazing, Sebastian!! Today's the 50th win in a row!" Finnian cheered.
Finnian is a young boy with large, turquoise eyes and pale skin. He has short, messy, strawberry-blond hair clipped back with five red bobby pins, two on his right and three on his left. He usually wears a plain top with red piping around the collar and plaid pants along with black knee-high boots. He also sometimes sports a straw hat. He adores the hat because it was given to him by his young master, Ceil.

In the very corner of the crowd was Amelia, Amelia Rosewolf. Amelia is the Phantomhive's maid. Though she specialises in something different. She didn't say anything but clap very slowly. She wasn't that excited as any of the others. She rather looked emotionless.  She also wore a midnight blue dress with matching buttons and white with ruffles around the shoulders. Same with Mey-rin but she wore brown shoes, a white frilly cap and something that looked like socks. She also had gloves just like Sebastian. She had tidy straight black hair that turns to a dark brown as it reaches its tip halfway through. With that tidy hair, she never seemed to have opened her eyes. She kept her eyes closed. As the weird martial arts teacher retreated Ceil sighed and placed his chin on his hand.

"A true master of the fist technique would accompany me to unknown regions. Though, I thought I'd be able to see your kneel today," Ceil muttered.
"That is too bad," Sebastian replied with his lovely smiles.
"Humph, you did well Sebastian. Here, drink."
Ceil then passed him a cold tea that still had ice floating in them. Without hesitation, Sebastian took the glass with his gloves and gulped it down with a 'Thank you'. He then quickly finished it and placed it on the table with a click of the ice.

"By the way," Sebastian asked, "What are all of you doing here?"
The air instantly got tense and heavy. The servants sparkles in their eyes stopped.
"Finny. Have you finished weeding the garden?" Sebastian asked.
"Ah!" Finny gasped.
"May-rin. How are the shirts in the laundry?" Sebastian asked as an irk mark appeared on his forehead.
"U-ummmmmm..." awkwardly Mey-rin replied.
"Bard. Are the dinner preparations going as they should?" Sebastian asked as the second irk mark appeared on his forehead.
"Hehe...." awkwardly laughed Bardroy.
"If you do have time to loaf around, then please do your jobs!"
With a loud shriek, three of them ran into the manor with tails between their legs. Then they slammed the door shut with a big slam.
"Speaking of work, Sebastian," Ceil spoke up.
"From Sir Chlaus?" Sebastian asked.
"There was a call from him in Italy. We talked about this. Come. Amelia, you too."
"As you wish."
Amelia nodded and Ceil stood up. He then walked off towards the manor. Sebastian and Amelia followed while Tanaka did the cleaning and tidying of the chair.

  +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

Ceil sat in his chair in the study with a newspaper while Sebastian and Amelia stood in front of it. Standing very still.
"And so, Sir Chlaus is coming directly to England?" Sebastian asked.
"Yes, he got ahold of the usual goods and contacted us. It seems he had a considerable of trouble this time. He should arrive here around about 6 o'clock. We'll carry out the negotiation at my house. Do you understand what this means, Sebastian? Amelia?" Ceil asked with a slight smile.
"We are fully informed. We will surely provide Sir Chlaus with the best hospitality ."
Sebastian then slightly bowed and so did Amelia.
"We could use you for the first time," Ceil commented.
Amelia nodded. A slight smile then appeared on her face as she licked her lips.

"...By the way, young master..." Sebastian groaned, "What was in the world was in that lemonade from before? My heart feels like it's going to explode."
"It's a lemonade with Tanaka's 'special unadulterated ****' I stopped drinking it with one sip," Ceil said.
You could see a little deadly aura around Sebastian. You think of what fits in that ****.
"Anyways, master. Everything aside. Please leave it to us," Sebastian said, "I will begin the preparations and teach Amelia how to be a servant. I'll leave it at that."
"Yeah, have fun," Ceil replied monotonously as he continued to read the papers again.
As Amelia and Sebastian bowed, they exited the room and closed the door softly. Sebastian then turned to Amelia and lifted her chin.
"Now, listen and do as I say," Sebastian ordered.
With a little nod, Sebastian and Amelia went to get things ready.

"First is to, pick and polish matching tableware, from glasses to platters. The silverware must be clean without a single spot, like a mirror. The tablecloths are to be brand-new and without a stain," Sebastian explained as he started to clean.
Amelia followed in the same inhuman speed. Everything looked perfect under a minute. Every corner of the room was sparkling. Then both of them went outside.
"Young master's favourite Sterling Silver roses must have the rotten flowers trimmed. Once the porch's weeds are pulled, the lawns green stature must be arranged like velvet," he continued.
Amelia was doing a really good job for a beginner and was doing a good job following Sebastian's lead. When they were finished they headed towards the kitchen.
"A vital point of hospitality is the dinner, having the best ingredients," Sebastian explained
as he started to cook, "The beef is of course, something to be fussed over like the vegetables and rice. The salt is something picked directly from an extravagant market. That is Phantomhive's hospitality!"
Before they could finish, a bell on the wall rang. Sebastian and Amelia stopped in their tracks.
"Those bells on the wall shows when someone is needing something in that room," Sebastian explained, "We will get this finished after we take care of the young master."
'During such a busy time, young master is... I wonder what it is.' Sebastian thought as he stopped what he was doing and put his coat back on.
Amelia just stared at Sebastian then followed him together towards Ceil's study room. From behind the walls, three heads poked out. Maroon red and two blonde heads poked out and watched as the disappeared as they went upstairs.

"Sebastian's way of getting fighting spirit... There's no doubt about it," Bardroy grumbled by then went cheerfully as he said, "It's different from when a guest is coming!"
"There is absolutely no doubt!" Mey-rin cheered.
"Ya~y! It'll be a feast!" Finnian cheered too.
"Idiot! That's not it!" Bardroy sighed as he poked Finnian said.
Sudden;y, Finnian went blank.
"Eh?" Finnian asked confused.
"This is our chance," Bardroy said with excitement, "This is our opportunity to show our skill. Wouldn't you say?"
"I see! Then I can show our guest a beautiful garden, better than any of the garden he has seen!"
"Then I will make the tea sets shine so they won't lose to the new products!"Mey-rin whispered.
"And then I, the great Bard, will make an amazing dish that will make the guest's jaw drop!" Bardroy added.

They raised there hands in the air.
"Alright! Let's carry out our plan!" Finnian cheered.
"Let's goo~ Bardroy added on.
Meanwhile, Sebastian and Amelia needed to deal with the young master's mouth.
"Did you need something?" Sebastian asked.

"I'm hungry, I want something sweet. Like parfait,"  Ceil ordered.
"I can't do that, young master. If you eat that, there will be dinner left over."
"It's fine. So, make some."
"No."

    +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

"...AND?"  Sebastian asked, "How in the world did any of this happen? Everything is dead in the garden, the plates and tea sets seemed to be broken and even the meat I prepared is burnt crispy black."
A deadly smile was seen from Sebastian as he leaned over towards the servants. The three poor servants then quickly ran into the corner and huddled together. Bard now has an afro, Finnian is crying and Mey-rin now has broken glasses. Amelia couldn't stop her laugh to come out before Sebastian glared at her too. Finnian started to explain first.

"After I finished killing the weeds, I tried to sprinkle the weed killer. But the weed killer's lid was open so instead killed all the plants and not the weeds I was aiming for," Finnian explained as snot dripped from his nose.
"I-i brought out and p-placed the g-guest's tea set on the p-pushcart. B-but I tripped and p-pushed the pushcart into a tea shelf,"  Mey-rin stuttered.
"I was trying to cook the raw meat but it wasn't cooking fast enough so I thought that using a flamethrower would make the process faster,"  Bardroy explained as he scratched the back of his neck.

They all started to panic and started to beg for mercy. They were spamming sorry's and Sebastian and pleaded for forgiveness.
"I understand. I will finish setting up here. Even I have faults," Sebastian said to calm them down, "It's fine so please, calm down."
Inside he was mad, all the work that he prepared was done and demolished in a second.
'..The garden that had the green extracted, the smashed-to-bits tea set, the main dish that turned to charcoal...Sir Clause will arrive after 6:00...We have a little less than two hours until his arrival. The high-quality meat and the tea set are both unusable. What should we do...'  Sebastian thought with closed eyes.
When Sebastian was thinking, Amelia tugged on his coat. Since Amelia is about half the size of Sebastian. Sebastian then looked at Amelia who was pointing at Tanaka.
"Yes, they all should follow Tanaka's example and act a little more adul-" Sebastian paused then looked at Amelia.
Amelia just nodded and then pointed at the burning meat and then herself.
"Living a long life do give advantages," Sebastian sighed and started to talk, "Please be quiet, everyone. From now on, listen closely to what I have to say, and then carry out the plan. This is what we will do."
He then showed everyone the tea that Tanaka that was holding. Everyone was quite confused but after Sebastian's orders, everyone nodded and headed to their places.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

"Hey, Sebastian. I-is this really okay?" Bardroy asked.
Amelia started to scrape off all of the black charcoal meat with a knife, still in her gloves. Sebastian then hurried on and cleaned the kitchen around her.
"Sebastiaaaaannnnn!" Mey-rin said as she carried a box, "I got it! Kya!"
Mey-rin tripped and nearly fell to the ground. Sebastian instantly noticed and rushed before every single one of them crashed to the ground. Sebastian caught three in one hand Meyrin in the other and one on the leg.
"You are... how many times have I told you not to run inside the mansion?" Sebastian sighed.
"S-s-s-s-sorry, my glasses are broken from before so I couldn't see very well..." Mey-rin muttered.
"But I am here so it's ok."
He then kicked the box that was on his leg to the top of the pile that he had.

"Sebastiaan!! I bought gravel and the other things you mentioned at the gardening store!" Finnian's voice echoed.
"..Is that so? Good work. I will do the final touches, then. After this, please leave things to me and all of you please rest. And please, sincerely act calm and great. CALM AND GREAT." Sebastian thanked and talked.
'Just now, he said it twice,' Finnian thought.
'He said it twice,'  Bardroy thought.

    +-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

"My, my. Well isn't England far? Really," Sir Chlaus said as he got out of his cart, "It has been a while since I came here."
"You came, Sir Chlaus," Ceil said monotonously.
"Buona sera, Ceil! Are you well? Perhaps you've grown a bit?"
"Too bad, it hasn't changed."
"That was rude. You're the same as ever, nothing less."
"You too are the same as always."
They talked as they entered the manor. All of the servants greeted him as they both entered the front door.
"Welcome, Sir Chlaus," all of them bowed in the same angel.
Of course, the girl didn't speak.

"Oh... this is.. You've made this mansion to something beautiful," Sir Chlaus mutter.
"We've been awaiting you, Sir Chlaus," Sebastian bowed.
"Sebastian! It has been awhile! It appears there are more faces in this house too."
Sir Chlaus then placed his hat on Finnian who stood beside Amelia.
"Wouldn't you like to talk to my lord? Because I must do the dinner preparations. Please enter the courtyard," Sebastian said as he stood in front of the door to the courtyard.
"The courtyard?" Sir Chlaus asked.
"This time, it is a counterbalancing entertainment ordered by my lord. We hope to please you."
The door then opened with a little squeak, revealing the Japanese garden that was made by the gravel that was prepared and brought by Finnian.
"Here please, relax," Sebastian said as he fully opened the door.

A gush of wind pushed through, revealing a Japanese garden. Sir Chlaus was surprised and amazed at what he was seeing.
"Oh~! Prodigioso! It's a rock garden straight from Japan!" Sir Chlaus said amazed.
"The tea preparations are completed. Over there please," calmly Sebastian said as he led the way.
Sebastian helped Sir Chlaus to get to the seat while Ameilia helped Ceil get to his seat on the other side.
"The irises are truly beautiful. The dead tree and the flowers it's like wabi-sabi!" Sir Chlaus commented, "Even green tea. You also seem to have an enthusiasm for Japanese style."
Sebastian then finished pouring the green tea for Sir Chlaus and then smiled.
"I'm unworthy of those kind words," Sebastian smiled.
'Thank you, Tanaka,' Sebastian thought.
"I also look forward to the evening meal," Sir Chlaus then laughed.

In the bushes behind them, poked out 3 little heads admiring the maid and butler.
"A...amazing, that Sebastian..." Mey-rin muttered.
"Amelia and Sebastian are struggling through it skillfully and elegantly," Finnian whispered.
"It's only because of the teacups," Bardroy muttered in disgust.

On the other end, Ceil smile at his butler doing the job.
"By the way Chlaus, about the usual goods," Ceil spoke up.
"Yes,I came keeping my promise," Sir Chlaus said as he pulled out a game.
He then placed it on the table. 'MOUSE3' it said.
"It wasn't released in Italy. It was difficult to obtain," Sir Chlaus sighed.

"Difficult, huh? You emphasized that on the phone," Ceil said.
"Aha, that's true. The prince gave you the "reward" that corresponds to the attendant, yes?"
"It's fine if the "reward" corresponds to the game. But recently, clearing it hasn't been an interesting ending."
"My, my, if it's a game and such that "kids can handle, then it will be effortless. At any rate, you're telling me to send the next one soon?"
"Yes, 'kids' have greed for games."

A very dark smile appeared on Ceil's face. Sir Chlaus then rubbed his eyes and looked back at him again. Seemed peaceful.
"Since you're you, at the age you were forced into developing the country's best game-maker," Sir Chlaus as he sighed, "Really, that's very ominous."
"Please pardon the interruption," Sebastian interrupted, "The evening meal's preparations have been arranged, so please pardon the wait. Today's menu is the family chef, Bardroy's Beef Donburi."
Sir Chlaus and Ceil were very confused.
'Don?' they both thought.
"Is this the evening meal?" Sir Chlaus asked.
"Yes," Sebastian answered.
"Surely in 10 quadrillion meals..."
"Sir Chlaus, you have no knowledge of this...?"

Sebastian then gave a warm smile and started some explanation. While Amelia was placing the 'Beef Donburi' in front of Ceil.
"We have labourers from ancient Japan to thank for Donburi, a feast that serves many purposes. The contributor to society who has finished his task put his feelings of thanks and gratitude into this food," Sebastian explained with passion, "That is Donburi! The former peasant for court food, 'lavish food', is said to be Donburi's inventor. And then I thought that Sir Chlaus would have grown tired of stuffy food. So that you could simply savour the flavour of the highest quality meat, I devoted myself to this idea."
"You're so adept, Sebastian!" Finnian whispered.
"Nice follow!" Bardroy added.
"Next is my job! I can't mess up!" Mey-rin whispered to her self.
After the great Sebastian's explanation, Sir Chlaus seemed to be very confused.

"HAHAHAHA!! Ceil! This is the best! You never cease to surprise me!" Sir Chlaus laughed, "In this industry, I have a lot of colleagues without a sense of humor, but with you, it's a lot of fun."
"That's an honor," Sebastian said.
"Yes! IT'S-A SUCCESS!" the other servants that were looking at the scene were cheered, "After that is..."
"May the wine suit your taste,"  Sebastian said as he showed the wine in front of Mey-rin, "The wine that we have prepared is a product from Italy."

There was an awkward silence before Sebastian called for Mey-rin.
"Mey-rin!" Sebastian called.
"Y-yes?"Mey-rin replied.
"It's not 'yes?'. Don't just stand there. Pour the wine into the glass."
Sebastian whispered into Mey-rin's ear. They were so close all of a sudden Mey-rin blushed to crimson red. Her glasses cracked a little more.
"...Say." Bardroy said as he peeped through the door.
"Yes?"  Finnian replied.
"She's acting strange, don'tcha think?"

Mey-rin was shivering right beside Sir Chlaus who was enjoying the meal peacefully. Mey-rin's mind repeated the same sentence over and over again.
'Don't spill... Don't spill...Can't disappoint Sebastian!' Mey-rin repeated in her head.
She then carefully tried to pour it into the glass. But instead of pouring it into the glass it got poured right beside the glass. Her broken glasses weren't helping.
"Ah...AAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!! MEY-RIN! THE WINE IS SPILLING!" Bardroy and Finnian mentally screamed, "All the effort put into making things, as they are before, are RUINED!!"
Surprisingly, Sir Chlaus was looking at the wabi-sabi garden. He didn't notice the wine spreading on the table. Sebastian and Ceil had their eyes wide in shock. Without a single thought, Amelia and Sebastian acted.  Sebastian pulled the cloth with a lot of force while Amelia stopped Mey-rin from pouring more wine on the table and passed Mey-rin to Finnian and bardroy so they could take her away. Wind gushed into Ceil's face and everything stopped. Amelia then replaced Mey-rin and poured the wine properly.

"Where'd the tablecloth go?!" Sir Chlaus said as he finally noticed, "Where is the other maid?"
Ceil's slightly chuckled.
"The cloth got a little dirty, so it was removed. Don't let it worry you," Ceil said calmly as he took a bite, "Also, I don't know what your talking about?"
"Excuse the big interruption. Please continue to enjoy the meal at your leisure," Sebastian apologised, "If you do have anything else please ask the maid beside you. Amelia would be doing my job while I take this cloth away."
Sebastian then dismissed himself and went into the manor. Over there Sebastian was greeted with cheers.
"Amazing! That was amazing, Sebastian!" Finnian said as he cried, "You were like mach*ki!"
"Yeah, yeah, it was a hero's come back!"  Bardroy said as he wrapped his arm around his neck, "In my country, there's a guy like you called Superman."
"...I'm not 'Superman' or anything... it's because I am..one hell of a butler," Sebastian smirked.

+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-+-

They finished eating dinner and Amelia just cleaned the table. Not a single fingerprint could be seen on the table. Amelia then bowed to go and get the dessert.
"Your butler is quite skillful. So is that maid too. What was their name again? Sebastian and Amelia?" Sir Chlaus asked.
"...Skillful?" Ceil asked in a mocking manner, "Since Sebastian and Amelia are my servants, it's natural for him to be able to do sort of thing."
"That's very strict. But surely in England, even if you're strict to that extent, the extraordinary talent they possess should certainly still be there, correct?"
"Naturally. But I didn't hire them just for the food. I still haven't tasted sweets more delicious than Sebastian's."
"...Heh. Ha ha ha! That's a really important reason to you, isn't it?!"
"I look forward today's dessert."

Meanwhile, Sebastian was creating a dessert. A Japanese dessert, apricot and green tea mille-feuille. As Sebastian was making the cake, Finnian and Bardroy were staring at Sebastian create the dish.
"It smells good!" Finnian said.
"If after you're good kids and act a little more adult like I'll let you have some as a prize," Sebastian sighed.
"Yay!" Finnian and Bardroy cheered.
After they cheered, Finnian thought about the things Finnian brought.
'...That reminds me... The things I bought were iris seeds...How did they bloom so quickly?" Finnian thought, 'Well, whatever~! 'Cause I'm getting a reward.'
Amelia then entered the courtyard with two desserts on the pushcart with Sebastian following her from behind.
"The after-dinner dessert is ready," Sebastian greeted.
