辛努的故事 (The Story of Shin Nu)

"Lan Zhan, what is the Shin Nu dagger?" I ask.

He looks at me in surprise.

"You don't know it?" He asks.

I look down.

"I was an orphan and a tramp. I kind of didn't have the schoolings most other kids do." I shrug.

It wasn't the proudest moment of my life, that I did not have proper schooling education, but hey... I turned out just fine. Lan Zhan sits me down. I look at him. Is this going to be like that one time he tried to school me? It did not work.

"The Shin Lu dagger is half of an immortal Shin Lu." Lan Zhan asks.

"Immortal?" I raise an eyebrow.

Lan Zhan nods.

"He was once a powerful God, but he pushed the divine gate too much. He pushed the boundaries of good and evil." He says.

I look down.

"Just like me." I mutter.

He looks at me. I look up at him.

"Nothing. Continue." I quickly say.

"He was thrown out of heaven and split himself in too because of a spell that went wrong. It was the consequence of his desire." He says.

When he said that, I thought of my use of sinister charms. He was split into two, divided himself, because of his own spells. What if Lan Zhan is right? I grip my chest. It burns still. Lan Zhan shows me an image of the dagger. It had the end of the headed lion. It looks evil itself. Its blade looked jagged. I start coughing.

"Wei Ying." Lan Zhan grabs my arm.

"I'm fine." I say.

"There's a meeting going on. Come on." Lan Zhan takes my arm.
