跑步! (Run!)

"After them!" A soldier yells.

"This was not what I thought would happen." Mai Yin says.

I hiss. Lan Zhan has been acting very strange, and that's saying something. Why was he in the water? What is he not telling me? And why is the ache of the dagger burning me. It burns. It screams. I can hear the calls of the sword. It burns. I can barely see straight.

"Lan Zhan..." I mutter.

"Be strong." He says.

I hear an arrow fly past us. It cuts my cheek. I wince.

"Wei Ying." Lan Zhan says.

"I'm fine." I wipe my cheek.

"Guys! We really need to run!" Mai Yin says.

Fight.

Fight.

Fight.

I feel the dagger being dragged to the earth. I fall to my knees. I grip my chest. I feel blood squeezing out. I try to stand up the dagger is weighing me down. Blood coughs up from my throat.

"Wei Ying!" Lan Zhan grabs me.

"What is happening?" Mai Yin asks.

"The dagger..." I pant.

I see the torches. Arrows fly past us. May Yin takes out her blades.

"Wei Ying, stay down." He says.

"I was..." I pant.

"It's okay. We'll take care of them." He says.

"Hate to bring bad news, but they out number us ten to one." Mai Yin says.

"No, they don't." He takes out his sword.
