Lan Zhan charges first. Mai Yin shoots up and her blades glow. She throws them down and as they hit, I saw explosions. Mai Yin creates balls of energy and chi- and throws them out. I grip my flute. I start playing it. A giant charges at me.

"I want him alive!" He yells.

Me? Why am I always the target. I jump back. Black smoke rises. My chest lets out a cry of pain. I wince. Maybe Lan Zhan was right, I don't have the spiritual power to fight them off. One grabs my leg. I wince. He throws me into a wall. I wince.

"Wei Ying!" Lan Zhan runs over.

He helps me up.

"I'm fine." I brush myself off.

I turn and I see Mai Yin wrestling with some. Too many. I jump forward and throw the charms over her head. She ignites them in fire. I jump back. 

"Thanks." She says.

I nod at her.

"Behind you!" Lan Zhan yells.

I turn and see him smiling at me. He grabs my neck. Ow. How can this buy move so fast? Lan Zhan draws his sword. Lan Zhan throws it. Shiyo Wuxian dodges. He throws me into a wall. I wince. He creates a sword in his hand.

"Let's see how much you've improved." He charges.

"Wei Ying!" Lan Zhan yells.

I dodge the sword, but I feel the chill. I slam my flute into his weapon. I don't have time to think about what he had told me. He throws his sword forward I throw my head back. Lan Zhan's sword blocks it. He grabs my hand. I wince. Shiyo Wuxian's eyes darted at me. I pull my outer cloak back. I kick him back. He rips my outer cloak off. I let out a breath. He throws it back.

"That was a mistake for you." He says.
