山脊 (The Ridge)

"There it is." I point.

Shara. My father often told me stories about the Temple of Shara. I pull the map out. It must be done. We have to stop this wrath. My father gave me this map and I will protect it at all costs. I hear him coughing behind me.

"How's the wound?" I ask Wuxian.

"Eh... would you believe me if I said I was fine?" He asks.

I shake my head. Lan Wangji looks up.

"That could be a problem." I say.

It was a lot bigger than I thought. It was taller than I had expected. There was ice making it slick. I put my hand on it. It's really slick. I look up and I see the jagged rocks. It looks like teeth. Lan Wangji walks forward.

"Well, the only one way is up." I pull up my skirt

"Wait." Lan Wangji says.

"What? We're almost there." I say.

"He won't be able to go up it." Lan Wangji says.

"And how is that your choice?" I ask.

He glares at me.

"He'll exhaust his spiritual power." Lan Wangji says.

"We don't have time for arguing. They might be right on our tails." I say.

"He can't make it." Lan Wangji says.

I turn and realize...

"Uh, Lan Wangji, where is he?" I ask.

He turns and his eyes widen. I look up.

"Wuxian!" I call.

"Hi!" He calls.

"What are you doing?" Lan Wangji says.

"Climbing." He hisses.

 I look at Lan Wangji.

"Told you." I shoot up.
