He shook his head silently, for whatever reason, this character of her's got him enthusiastic. Smoothing down his white shirt and adjusting the braces, he sighed a little bit tucking his hands into the pocket of his favorite snug green jacket, turning his face skyward before messing up the soft tresses of his fluffy hair.
The now amused man held his stomach, his back slouching down moderately as he chortled his heart out. Yeji's eyes fluttered open as she was exposed to those crescent eyes she knew so well. He was naturally charming, could steal a heart by a simple giggle of his. her torturous
Whatever may be his charm, she couldn't stop being uncomfortable around him. She kept scratching the nape of her neck time and again, sweat cloaking her forehead, teeth gnawing at her lips, her hands fidgeted with her rose gold ring. The crescent haired boy had gifted her the ring.
This feeling of nerves wasn't anything new to her, she felt it at least thrice a day at some point. But today just so happened to be different. From the corner of her eye, she saw a man still staring at her, for the past ten minutes now.
For that split second, her smile evanescence, dipping lower into a darker expression than her former one. She was going to make sure that she, only she will be the death of him.
He smiled, gleefully, sunset meeting Vanilla dipped in Freesia.
"Ok, ok, go on ." The smile snaked its way back to her lips the second he stood back; his back now kept upstanding and erect. The male further teased, voice playful and naive at the same time ."Jimin's at your service lovely Yeji", the brunette bowed down while being cheesily prince-like.
"I'm the only cutie, sexy, lovely."
He stepped closer to her decreasing the distance between him and her, patting her cheeks lightly before continuing. "So I assume you know who to call when you want holes to be filled tigh-"
"I-"She was about to complete her sentence before acknowledging the fact that she was at a loss for words. She wouldn't get an answer now, even if she wanted to bicker with him about how he caught her off guard suddenly or, simply jab him in the eye.
Her thoughtful grey eyes spotted him jogging hurriedly towards the crowd away from her, his honey-colored hair once perfectly styled now, all windswept because of the swaying wind. The air around her suddenly felt heavy. Bitter would be a better adjective.
Once alone, she felt her body wash with worry. Intertwisted. She could sense it. Everything she planned turned out to be fucking intertwisted. Twigs of hesitance along with the sticky honeydew here being irritation— wrapped around her. Holy fuck! She held her palm against her forehead sighing. She needed a plan B now.

The sky held silver hues, molten as though swirling and withering in silver ripples. The weather was surprisingly at its boldest. The rain determined, in a wind that moved as a well-run locomotive.
Droplets of cold water thrashed onto his rubescent skin, some of them further disintegrating as the minuscule ones splattered onto the silver handle his veiny hands held onto.
He bit his lip and hugged his arms tighter around his shoulders before looking disgustingly at himself. His eyes burned with ashamed tears. He was fine with the mess he was. Didn't mind it much. After all, that's what he's been doing all this while.
Accepting himself as he is. No one could lash at him with anything. He knew he was insignificant and he wasn't going to let anyone argue with him about it.
All he wanted was to make something out of his life. Anything that would not have him disgustingly begging for money. He knew poverty way too well. Many people never understood what it meant.
It was not having an answer as to why he wasn't coming to their college camp when his friends questioned his absence. It was not having the money to buy clothes to keep him warm even. He remembered the words printed on it very well. The camping form read :
"We're delighted to announce that once again we have exclusively planned a small 3-day camping trip to Gwengan palace for the students of Junior high !"
Now, this wasn't what got Jeungguk fidgeting with his fingers. It was the line that he read next.
" We request the parents of Junior High to pay the following amount on time so that we can make the hotel room bookings as soon as possible."
His expression starkly changed in a matter of heartbeats.
Just when he thought he would finally enjoy his life, Be around the big, famous guys in his section, his poverty just had to recast him back to his misery filled life. He snaps his eyes closed, fighting hard to rein the tears burning his eyes, forcing him to tear his eyes open. They were begging to be released just like Jeungguk.
Sympathy for himself unleashed the control he had on the salty liquid. He gave up, let them flow out. Perhaps it's fine. Perhaps he'll just live on. He was brooding over everything so hard, that he didn't quite realize he had been tapping his nails on the metal rod he was leaning on.
He felt shame conquer his insides under one spell of its fiery blaze. "Why would you attempt to think that even Jeungguk? "he questions himself. The One fact that he accepted was " the world's unfair ".
One day you'd make all the preparation for tomorrow in high hopes of having a good day the next day and somehow end up forgetting to slip your house keys into your pocket. There, boom your day ain't the way you wanted it to be. He knew life, he was no fool .despite having problems with self-love, he knew this fact very fuckin well.
It wasn't like he was allowed to be obnoxious over forcing himself to be a fan of soul searching. He loved it, it kept him tied back to reality; forced him to stay alive.
But could he blame himself for the high hopes he had been developing? A nice relationship with someone he felt warm around was all he asked for. He should've known, it had all been working out too well for everything to be turn out good.
Just behind him, a young girl of about 5 called out to him, innocence blazing through her."Oppa ?". The young girl moved to and fro as if her knees were just hinges.
Around her shoulder was a colorless raincoat, worn as a cape might be -scarlet roses were printed on it as if all the memories of her with flowers gave her superpowers. Jungkook inwardly taunted himself, perhaps she thought he had a loose screw up there too.
Maybe she is here to kidnap him. Who knows — hell she could even rape him-
He was glad he didn't let a smile paint his face. He asked out, silently scolding himself "You are losing your marbles Guk, thinking of a poor soul in such a ruthless manner. It's just a child Guk! no big monster! But still, his thoughts wouldn't let him trust his way into her soft features.
Ever since he was born, He'd been losing everything he liked and considered nice. He had his pack of secrets too and his greatest fear was that someone, anyone for that matter would discover it.
The young girl stood still despite his lack of reaction. She didn't look affected by his stare in the least bit. Her body stood still as though hooked eyes following his slightest movements as though watching a bird in flight.
Her hands looked tiny, delicate, and chubby as she held out an ocean blue colored umbrella, those indicative eyes suggesting him to take it. The shade of the object she held out was the kind you see at beaches.Sea blue.
Her eyes scrutinized the male as he turned around lazily. The former scene which unwrapped was way too tiring for him despite whatever he solaced himself for.
"Oh ", was all that he could muster out. His body surprised himself as he let out a breath he didn't realize he'd been holding all this while. He curled his toes beneath the muddy wet layer of his shoes, they felt tacky under the meager shelter and protection the thin material could give.
The kissing scene tore his innermost insides. His thoughts were still hell-bent on stealing his sanity and propelling himself to dissipate.
So he smiled, even if he didn't feel like it. He'd smile for seconds. Then minutes, which would then melt away into hours. Soon they'd paint their way into days. It would all be okay if he smiled perhaps.
With a small expression of exhilaration, he accepted her offer. He was already dripping wet because of the rain. He just felt a little worse and nodded dumbly taking the umbrella from her hand, stooping his head low, and thanking her.
In that fraction, of a second he stared right into her eyes, his red ones capturing her turquoise ones in the most interestingly alien way possible.
Perhaps this rain brought him a new friend.
Or he just ended up giving his new enemy free access into his life.
