I drop them off at her ledge. Lan Zhan catches the old man. He was shaking to the bone.

"Mother Mountain!" I call.

She looks down at me and smiles.

"I knew you would eventually talk." She smiles.

She looks down.

"Hello again old friend." She says to the Old Man.

I look down in surprise. Lan Zhan turns.

"You two know each other?" I ask.

"Of course, I know everyone on this earth. I have seen so many travelers." She answers.

"Okay..." I shrug.

"What stories have you brought me old friend?" She asks.

"I was hoping you could tell us one." He says.

"Wei Ying, come down." Lan Zhan says.

I nod and fly down behind him.

"Oh? I'm afraid I don't have much." She says.

"The fire on Dules Day." He says.

She stops.

"Few who live to this very day know those words." Her eyes narrow.

"It was in a dream, memory." He points at me.

I jump. I look up at her. This was the first time I had seen the sternness in her eyes. I had seen fear. I never thought a mountain could show fear. Yet... right before my eyes I saw her fear. I bite my lip. Lan Zhan nods at me. This is making me nervous.

"You want to know about that demon?" She asks.

"Yes." I nod.
