I still couldn't believe it. Twelfth lap. I had been going back and forth for half an hour . «Are you sure, Coco?», I ask again. I still have a lot of doubts about this. «Yes-coco. You're Cure Dream and you have to find eleven other girls-coco.» I sigh. Eleven people. Where the heck I found eleven. It seems like a more than easy task. I stand in the middle of the room, looking at him. «And how do I know if it's them?» Coco thinks about it for a while. Silence returns to fill the room. I was starting to feel the weight of it. I really wish I had Daisy by my side in this thing. I couldn't go back now. «The butterflies will guide you-coco. I don't know anything else-coco.» Grandiose..., I think. I had to put my life in the hands of... BUTTERFLIES. I sit down, defeated, on the bed, holding my head in my hands. I sigh for the umpteenth time. «I don't know if I can do it, Coco... We're talking about eleven people... There are only two of us at the moment.» He doesn't answer, he just bows his head. «I promised you my help and I will, but we need a hand...» I shift my gaze to him again. «I know-coco... I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner-coco...»
«I would have accepted anyway. That's not the problem. It's that this place is huge. We don't even know where to start.» I jump out of bed. «I know I told Daisy that I would help you even without her help... But we can't do it blindly.» I take Coco in my arms and go downstairs. «Hey Nozomi, I heard you had a fight.», Nina tells me, approaching me. I just nod. I didn't want to go back to the subject. «You know where she is?», I ask, getting straight to the point. «I guess she's taking a ride. Lately, humans have become very violent towards vampires. She thinks Van Helsing's behind it.» I sigh in exasperation. That guy definitely didn't know when to give up. «Thank you, Nina. I'll be back in a bit. In case you know what to do.» I see her nodding and heading towards Zero and Ichii. I smile slightly at the sight of the reunited trio and head outside. «Sorry if I got you involved in our personal war. Van can be a real jerk when he put his mind to it.», I say, walking on. «What exactly does he wants-coco?»
«Exterminate all vampires, but he himself is one.» Out of the corner of my eye I notice his gaze. «It's... Complicated.», I only answer. «Well-coco... We've got all the time in the world before we find your friend-coco.»
«All right... Basically, he... He has created an army of humans to exterminate us. His code of honor says not to touch them, only vampires. Everyone thinks it's true, but no one knows that they're actually modified vampires themselves.» I admit everything in one breath. I notice the doubt in his eyes. «They didn't become vampires because they were bitten or drank the blood of an aristocrat... They are because Van has created a kind of serum. He transforms only those who will hunt with him, he leaves the others human. Those who  are useless or are seriously injured... He feeds them to hungry or newly transformed vampires.» I notice the slight shock in his blue eyes. I sigh. «Van isn't what he wants everyone to believe. Once he exterminates us... He'll kill himself and his army.»
«But it's madness-coco...», says Coco, still shocked. «It is... The worst part is... He literally killed Daisy's mother's parents.»
«Why-coco?» I hesitate to answer. I stop on the side of the road, looking around. Just plants and trees. No one around. «Her mother was a vampire and her father a human. She was brutally murdered in front of her eyes, while he was summoned by Van. He never came back home. She was later taken to an orphanage, where her wings were clipped and she was abused. That's what Daisy knows.» I start walking again. I've never liked this story. Hearing it made me feel bad both mentally and physically. To think that a person could go through certain pains of hell made me think of him.

I pass yet another bush. We've been silent for a while now. «It shouldn't be long before we arrive at the city.» I pull aside a branch and stop to admire the view. The place of the white lilies. I hadn't been there since that time. I approach slowly. Just enough to keep them from wilting. «This place is really nice-coco.» I nod. It hasn't changed by one comma in all these years. I smile as I think back to those joyful and painful moments. I would have liked to have done something more for him, if I had known the cruel fate that awaited him. I move away from that view. It wasn't the time, I had to find Daisy. I start walking again. The less time I was out with Coco, the better. «I feel their presence-coco.» Oh no... I start running as fast as I can. «Hold on tight and don't let go for any reason in the world!», I tell him. Something bad was happening in town.

I couldn't believe my eyes. One of those monsters is destroying everything. Behind him, there's the guy from the day before. «Coco, you have to promise me you're going to stay hidden, okay?» I put it on the ground. He nods and runs away. I approach the monster and transform. It won't ruin my city. «But look who I see again.» I shift my gaze to the type, that now was staring at me. «Why are you doing this...» A loud and chilling laugh fills the place. «Oh my dear. You have something that my sovereign wants. That's why.», he answers, still smiling. «You'll never have that! You'll pass over my corpse first!»
«Satisfied. C'mon! Take her out!» I dodge the impending attack with a backward somersault. The clash would have been inevitable, but I had to get people to safety. I couldn't do both on my own. «C'mon! This way!» Daisy's voice brought me back to reality. My salvation came just in time. «Daisy! Get the people to safety, I'll take care of the monster!» I only hear a loud "okay" and a few booms every now and then.

I kick the monster, causing it to stagger. I'm breathing heavily. I wouldn't have lasted much longer. «What the heck are you doing here!», asks a voice behind me. It's Rin. «I don't have time now to explain! Get to safe-» The monster grabs me with its tentacle, as I see Rin walking away with Daisy, albeit reluctantly. I try to free myself, but I've wasted too much energy to keep it busy. «Well, well, well. Will you give me what I want now?»
«Never!», I say through gritted teeth. They wouldn't get anything from me. I'd die to keep everybody safe. «Whatever. All yours.» The monster starts crushing me harder and harder. The air starts to disappear and I can't breathe. Would I have died like this? Not that I didn't like it, but I still hadn't kept the promise I made to him. I'm starting to lose consciousness. To see slightly blurred. Suddenly I feel the grip disappear and I fall to the ground. «I told you you'd get yourself killed! We have to leave. Now.», she says, taking me as a bride. «I promised him I would help him and that's what I'm going to do!» I squirm, falling soundly to the ground. «Please Nozomi...»
«If you want to get to safety, do it. I'm staying.» I get back to my feet, holding my abdomen. It's killing me, but I wasn't going to give in. Daisy stands in front of me and the monster, as if to protect me. «What are you doing...?»
«I won't let you die!» A butterfly appears in front of us. It's a beautiful pitch black color. Coco, who had been hiding the whole time, comes running out and approaches us. «Let it rest on your wrist!», he yells at my friend. Daisy, still stunned by the situation, does as she's told to. The beautiful butterfly becomes a bracelet and she transforms into Cure Wishes . «But then you too...» I didn't know how to react. I always had a comrade-in-arms by my side and I didn't even notice it. I smile and get ready to attack along with her.
