{Third Person | Focus ~ Alexander}

Thomas walked back out into the hallway, and seeing that Alex was about to ask a question, he answered it for him. "And no, I'm not gonna make you breakfast, you lost your 'ability to eat my cooking' privileges." Alexander giggled, making Thomas cover his mouth to suppressed his own laughter. "Lost my ability to eat your cooking my ass."

"I can't believe you actually didn't make me breakfast." Alexander stated in disbelief as they walked down stairs. "Don't act surprised, you heard exactly what I said." His stomach growled, aching in pain; he already felt a bit of fatigue as a result. "I didn't eat so I guess I'll be dragging myself around all day." Alex sighed, though he was smiling on the inside, knowing that playing the sympathy card would get him at least a little bit of something. Persuasion has been something that he's always been good at, though he did feel a bit of guilt for using his friend. Thomas frowned at Alexander's uneasy face, shaking his backpack off his back. "Well..I have some trail mix if you want some.." He pulled out the ziplock bag and handed it to him, closing his backpack. "Thank yoouuu!" Thomas smiled at his joyful face and just like this morning, that pulsating feeling in his wrist, returned once again. He kept it to himself, being mindful of it though.

"Sooo, are you excited about seeing everyone again?" Alexander began to fiddle with his fingers, the thought of seeing his friends again had excited him, however, not knowing how the other's would take it is what scared him. "I dunno.. What if-" "Noooo, we're not gonna start with the what if bullshit. They're all gonna be so happy to see you, I promise." "I really hope your right." Thomas ruffled his hair and slung his arm around him. "You'll be fine. Now c'mon, let's go start our wonderful journey!" "Down the stairs?" Thomas pursed his lips. "No, I meant college. Let's just go." Alexander snickered. He took a step outside and looked at the unseen yet familiar surroundings. People loitering around trying to act cool, groups of people already gossiping about others, and few people just minding their business. The loud chatter around the campus along of the hundreds of unknown people in sight, wrecked his nerves.

"Not much different from high school, eh?" "No.." He spoke quietly, his voice not as steady as it was before. It was like his voice was a small, fragile vase. Thomas looked down at his uneasy facial expression. He grabbed Alex's shoulders and whirled him around, looking at him straight in his eyes. "I know that face..look, I gotcha back. I'm right here with ya." Alex took a deep breath and smiled. "You ready for this?" "I'm ready." "Louder." He commanded. Alexander looked around and raised his voice slightly. "I'm ready..!" "Louder!" Alex pulled on his pointer finger and furrowed his eyebrows. "I'm not sure we should-" "Do it." He interrupted, looking him straight in the eyes. "I-I'm ready!" "One more time!"

"I'M READY!" He screamed, stealing the words of people's mouthes and grabbing the attention the people closest to him. Everyone turned their heads towards the commotion. Alexander's eyes widened and he covered his mouth as he realized how loud he was. But Thomas clapped his hands, smiling. Everyone went back to talking and doing their own thing. Their snickering became full on laughing, tears pricking the edges of their eyes. "Now that's the Alex I wanna see." "Thanks, that actually made me feel better." "That's my specialty." Then, out of nowhere, someone slapped their hands on Alexander's shoulders and shouted. "Boo!" "AH!" He yelled, turning himself around and putting his hands in a boxing stance, his face looked fanatical. Thomas jumped back a bit himself.

But their heightened senses lowered when they saw it was only John. "Hey Alexander!" "John!" Alex embraced his best friend, exhaling. "Shit! You scared me." "Yeah, maybe I shouldn't do that again, don't wanna give you a heart attack." Alexander let him go and gave him a glare with a downward smile. "Wassup Thomas?!" "Hey John!" {Wtf is another term for dapping people up?? Yeah, just pretend they did that-} "How's it been?" Thomas went ahead and answered the question first. "Oh, nothing much really, just went back home for the summer to spend time with the fam. I also took some summer dance intensives and courses to master my craft. And the family said hey." John smile sweetly, his white pearls shining in the sun. "Tell em' I said hello. What about you Alex? Anything or anyone special?" John nudged Thomas a bit, smirking at him. Thomas side eyed him, John knowing exactly what he wanted to say, gave a mischievous look towards him.

Alexander rubbed his left arm and looked off to the side. He didn't do anything interesting over the past couple of years. "Uh..no. Just taking time to sharpen my skills for my personal hobbies, went to go see my Aunt upstate and that's about it.." John groaned. "Oh c'mon! That can't be two years worth of activities." "Yeah, believe it or not, it is. There's no place like home." "Well, I for one, volunteered to be a camp counselor at Hacketts Quarry sleep away camp. The kids were adorable and sweet. Also, I met a couple of new friends there too. And I've been traveling, went to Japan and Hawaii and had a ball." "Ooh! You gotta show me some pictures." John whipped out his phone and went to his camera roll. "I got you."

Alexander sighed. It seemed like everyone was busy doing something to better themselves, or having some fun while he was stuck in place. It was like everyone was two steps ahead of him. If only he had those types of privileges, what he would do. "Alexander!" Someone shouted from a distance. He squinted at the blobs of people running towards him. Shit, my glasses.. He had the revelation, remembering what he was forgetting. As the two people got closer, he was able to make out their faces, his eyes widening. He opened up arms for the incoming hug. "Eliza, Angelica!" Eliza quickly rushed to hug Alexander, her positive energy brought a smile to his face. "Hey Alexander." Alex waved at Angelica, just by taking a good look at her stance, she radiates the energy of a strong person. That was one of the things Alexander admired most about her.

John and Thomas looked up from the phone and the both of them grinned. Thomas tightly embraced Eliza, picking her up and spinning her around a few times before setting her back onto the ground, the two of them laughing like no tomorrow. "Hey Liza!" She nuzzled the side of her face into his chest. "Hey Tom!" "How's my favorite girl been?" She looked up at him, smiling. "Nothing much, I had to deal with that crazy women for months, forcing me to go all these places with her. It's for the future she says.." Eliza muttered. "I heard that!" Angelica snapped. "Good!" She snapped back, her face written with irritation. "Well Angelicas' smart, I'm pretty sure she knows what she's doing. But if you get tired of her, just come over to my dorm alright?" He whispered. She giggled and nodded.

Alexander stared at the two of them, feeling slightly aggravated at this display, and it was was evident on his face. He folded his arms and looked down. Angelica rested her elbow on his shoulder and smirked. "I see that face..your jealous, aren't you?" He flinched at the word 'jealous', scoffing. "Please, I-I'm not jealous.." "Uh-huh. Just don't come cryin' to me when someone steals your man from you. He is a sweet treat." Angelica teased, walking over to Thomas. Alexander huffed and rolled his eyes. "I'm not jealous.." He mumbled. "Hey Angie!" "Hey Thomas! How's your mom doing?" "Oh she's fine, still trying to gain her bearings after the incident." She jumped up in the air and patted him on the shoulder. "That's good, you make sure you take care of her alright?" Thomas playfully stood at attention, looking straight forward with a serious face. "Yes ma'am!" She laughed quietly and shook her head, and that was satisfying enough for him.

"Hey girls!" John sounded like an old father. "Hey John!" The ladies exclaimed, both of them hugging the Carolinian. "How have you two been?" "Great!" "Bored!" They responded, their voices overlapping each other. "Well at least your not dead. Wait.." He looked at the two of them and realized that something was missing. "Where's Peggy?" "Yeah?" Thomas joined in, Alexander looked at them inquisitively. Eliza gasped. "Oh! She's off in a school over seas, 'Royal College Of Art' was it?" John stuttered with from disbelief before speaking clearly. "Isn't that a prestigious fashion school in London!?" "Yeah! She there for an internship! I'm so proud of her." Angelica nodded excitedly in agreement. "That's amazing!" Thomas and Alexander shouted in unison. They both looked at each other and smiled. Angelica searched around, and realized that someone else was missing too. She looked at Alexander, getting a sweet idea.

"Speaking of missing people, where's your boyfriend Thomas?" Alexander's head whipped around, he stared straight at Angelica. He looked bewildered and baffled. She tried her hardest to suppress her laugher, getting a kick out of his expression. Thomas raised his eyebrow, confused. It took him a moment, but he soon realized who the person in question was. "Ohh, you mean James? I dunno." He shrugged. "I didn't uhm..I didn't know you two were together.." Alexander spoke, his voice a bit wavery. Angelica turned around, it was getting harder for her to refrain for laughing. Thomas blew raspberries. "Oh please, he's not even close to an option for dating." He stated to Alexander's delight. Alex didn't even understand why he was so relieved and joyful to hear such a thing. His eyes fixated on Angelica, glaring at her. She bursted with laughter, everyone around her confused. But Alex knew just what she was laughing about.

"Ah! That was wonderful.." She said, slowly coming down from her high. "Anyway..shouldn't we try to get to our classes.. it's.." Eliza trailed off, reaching for her phone, but John beat her to it. "Seven-sixteen." "Right." She finished. "Let's roll!" Thomas said, leading the group to the double doors in the front of the school building.
