The scariest part of being the minority is having your fate within the palm of the majority. In a world without provable objectivism, what is rational and what is right is completely subjective. But the minority is not only quantitative but has a blend of the qualitative. 

After all, the minority is not the rich but the poor, not the many but the few, not the substantial but intangible power.

The majority is power and power comes in many forms: money, charisma, influence, faith, physical prowess...

No matter how much we wish to deceive ourselves, this world is the survival of the fittest, we merely form a collective set of rules, laws or agreements that empower us, that symbolise our power. But that does not mean we are safe.

Alone, we are all the minority. Compared to nature, we are nothing. In the face of fear, we are malleable. When we have a taste of power, we are the weakest.

If Roosevelt did not have the backing of the American public; if he was an outcast; if he was hunted, then he wouldn't dare claim that the only thing to fear is fear itself. Indeed, fear can be conquered, but without fear, we are devoid of an aspect of humanity. If we did not fear death, did not fear being shunned, did not fear losing everything then we would not be human. And therein lies the double-edged power of the minority.

We are all born human but not all of us retain ourselves. We walk along a spectrum of power, adore it when we have it, hate it when oppressed by it. But none of us can live without it. It is Social Darwinism unveiled - life it but a mere struggle for power, but humanity is learning to wield it with compassion.

An option is not an option unless everyone is on board. If one individual disagrees, then everyone does not deserve the right to enjoy at the cost of another. This can be very difficult to achieve due to epistemic contextualism (https://www.vox.com/2018/4/28/17292244/flat-earthers-explain-philosophy), however, it is absolutely necessary.

Despite minority rights being paramount, the majority should "usually" be followed, not because they are right, but because when the majority are appeased, it is much easier to manipulate the Sheeple. The Sheeple will be placated that they were chosen over the minority, but in effect, the minority 'non-conformists' will be the true puppet masters behind society.
