⋆｡𖦹°‧ ⸝ ᴀɴ ᴏᴠᴇʀᴠɪᴇᴡ ᰔᩚ › ⠀Growing up as an only child, Nami was really close to her parents and often got away with a lot. But being the only kid also came with pressure—especially from her dad, who wanted her to do something "good" with her life, like becoming a doctor or a nurse, just like him and her mom. She didn't want to disappoint him, so she went along with it, even helping out at the hospital as an assistant, hoping maybe she'd eventually feel that same spark. By the time she was 15, though, she knew she had to be honest. One night, she sat her dad down and told him that medicine wasn't what she wanted. She didn't know what her dream was yet, but she just needed time to figure it out on her own.

Her father was a bit disappointed at first that Nami wouldn't be following in his footsteps, but he still held onto the hope that maybe in a few years, she'd come around and end up in nursing school. However, he was surprised when Nami's mother sat him down later and explained that Nami's real passion was music. Nami had been exploring music on her own, and her mom could see how much it genuinely made her happy. Over time, her dad started to understand that even if Nami chose a different path, she could still make a meaningful impact. He realized that what mattered most was supporting her dreams, whatever they might be. Gradually, he accepted that she was carving out her own journey, one that reflected who she truly was.

She noticed how Nanami would spend hours humming tunes, tapping out rhythms, or completely immersing herself in songs. It was clear that music brought her a joy and sense of freedom that nothing else did. Remembering her promise, Himeya encouraged Nanami's passion, making sure to provide her with opportunities to explore music fully, whether through lessons, performances, or simply the freedom to create. Himeya knew that allowing her daughter to pursue her own dreams was the best gift she could give her.

However, supporting Nanami's passion wasn't always easy, especially when it clashed with her husband's hopes. He believed that a career in music was uncertain and impractical, and he hoped Nanami might eventually follow a more stable path. But Himeya stood firm in her promise, reminding him that their daughter's happiness mattered most. Together, they gradually learned to balance their dreams for Nanami with her own, realizing that her path, though different from theirs, could be just as meaningful and fulfilling.
