It was the type of love that made her head spin and her heart race, no matter what her significant other did. She met him when she was 14, and he was a new student at school, a mix of Japanese and Swedish. To her, Zealand was different in a good way because the moment she met him she felt something new and something she hadn't experienced in life. Sure she had crushes here and there, but with him it was different so she took her chance and introduced herself to him, especially since he didn't have any friends. They hit it off right away because of their mutual interests and likes. They shared countless little moments, from the way he would wait for her after class to the notes they'd leave each other. It was a love that felt pure and exciting, something she could never forget.

But as they grew, they realized that they were better off as friends. Their bond had shifted into something more comfortable, more meaningful in its way. After two years, they knew that parting as a couple was the best choice. On April 29, 2020, they decided to remain close friends, understanding that their love had transformed, but that their connection was still just as important. Zealand would always be her first love, the one who taught her how it felt to truly care for someone, and though they'd grown apart in that romantic way, they knew they'd always be there for each other.

She was focused on herself, living life at her own pace and priorities. But everything changed when he came into her life. For the longest time, Nami has been an avid fan of Enhypen, ever since their debut in 2020. Little did she know, her world would be turned upside down just from a little collision in the hallway.

During an interview at HYBE/Belift, where she was being considered for a potential signing due to her covers, Nami became frustrated with the situation and stormed out. In her rush, she bumped into Yejun. Not realizing who he was, she got upset and yelled at him, but quickly realized her mistake. Feeling embarrassed, she ran off without apologizing. Their second encounter came a few weeks later when Nami, having moved to Korea in 2022 for college, bumped into Yejun during his off time. This time, she immediately recognized him and began to apologize to him profusely for their previous encounter. Her flustered apology caught the attention of nearby people who grew concerned. To avoid further embarrassment, Yejun politely pulled her aside to a private area where they could talk.

Afterward, feeling guilty for causing a scene and wanting to make things right, Nami insisted on treating him to dinner as an apology. The two spent the evening talking, and this marked the beginning of their friendship. Over the next year, they grew closer, becoming good friends by 2023. In late 2023, Nami finally confessed her feelings for Yejun. At first, Yejun hesitated because he feared that if things didn't work out, it could ruin their friendship. Upon his request, they agreed to go through a "dating trial" to see if a romantic relationship would work between them. To both of their surprise, the trial period was a success, and by March 2024, they officially started dating.
