*beep*beep*beep*

BANG!

You jolted out of bed from the loud noise.

You've accidentally knocked over your alarm clock while sleeping.

You picked it up and to your surprise; it was still working! but, your face turned pale when you saw the time-

9:00! YOU'RE LATE FOR SCHOOL!!

You hastily got dressed and grabbed everything that you needed.

It was another gloomy day. You where such in a hurry that you forgot to bring your umbrella. Luckily it wasn't raining just yet.

You arrived on campus just in time before the rain started pouring hard behind you.

Tsuchigomori-sensei was outside of your classroom staring at his watch. You rushed towards him and tilted your head downwards to apologize.

"Y/n. You're almost an hour late- But luckily for you, we wont be having classes today."-he grinned.

You looked up with surprise. "Really sensei? How come?"

"We teachers have some buissness to attend to, you students are free to do whatever you want for the day."-he continued.

You nodded in response and quickly entered the classroom.

The classroom was filled with continous loud chattering. You looked around and behind your seat; sat the mysterious young boy from yesterday.

You hung your bag beside your seat; you then notices a white envelope on top of your desk.

"To Y/n,"-it wrote. You decided to just open it later; being cautious of people who might be eavesdropping on you.

You took a quick glimpse of the boy sitting behind you. He was staring blankly at the window. His arm still covered in bruises. You managed to gather up your courage and speak.

"Hi there! I'm Y/n; I'll be sitting in front of you for the year, let's be friends!"-you tried to say cheerfully.

"..."

He didn't reply-

"Oh, umm I'm sorry if I made you uncomfortable there- you seemed like you could use a friend, thats all-"

He still stayed quiet so you just turned around.

"Amane"-you heard from behind.

"M-my names Amane" he continued.

You turned around-"Nice to meet you Amane-san! I'll be looking forward to getting to know you!"

He looked at you looking abit shocked and turned back to stare at the window.

'Well thats progress I guess... Even tho it's not that enthusiastic response I've imagined. The thought of gaining a new friend is always a fulfiling achievement.'-you said trying to keep your spirits high.
