The day started off as normal as any other, Bakugou was yelling, Kirishima was trying to calm him down, Todoroki was quiet and aloof as usual, Izuku and Ururaka were all lovey-dovey, Kaminari was being meme-y and single, Mineta was... well, Mineta, and Iida was trying to keep everything under control. Yep, it was exceedingly normal, if it weren't for one thing;
(Y/n) wasn't there.
The day didn't feel exactly... right when she wasn't there, yesterday didn't feel normal because she wasn't at school despite having dorms, and when today arrived, it didn't feel like it usually did either.
Aizawa walked in and cleared his throat, "Alright, everybody shut your mouth and listen up, I have an announcement to make. This morning, (L/n) (Y/n) has officially been declared as missing by police and all local authority, if any of you see her, please report to any U.A. staff or police station nearby immediately or bring her into police custody."
The atmosphere became thick with guilt, and blame, it felt like there were rocks forming in their stomachs, black and heavy like it was made of iron steel, or a heavy fog that swallowed anything in its path. Instead of whispering or talking that Aizawa expected from them, his students were quiet, some crying and held their heads in their hands, while other sat, staring blankly in disbelief, and frankly to be honest, he didn't know which reaction was worse.

Sero Hanta was just walking through the nearby park, trying to clear his head. There's no way that (Y/n) could disappear so suddenly just like that, could she? It wasn't like her to do something like that. The missing posters around school made him feel sick, like at any moment he could puke. When was the last time that he and (Y/n) had talked face to face? God, it felt like it had been months, which it probably was, and that only made him feel worse. what happened? What on earth possessed him to hurt her like that? He was her best friend, and best friends aren't supposed to hurt the other one.
God, if he could turn back time, he would stick by her side instead of hurting her like he did. He should've been there for you when you needed him. He understood now what it meant to mess up and know that you can never make it right.
*snap*
Hanta whipped around to see what made that noise, he felt anxious, paranoid. He frantically searched around, hoping that it wasn't something hostile. His eyes landed on someone, and heart stopped momentarily, he had found what made the noise, or rather who made the noise. He saw (Y/n), donning an old, traditional looking kimono and worn-out obi, as well as a kitsune mask. She giggled, "Let's play a game of tag! Catch me if you can!" (Y/n) darted off, Hanta running after her in a futile attempt to catch her and bring her back to U.A., hoping that she'll never vanish from sight ever again.
He couldn't keep up with her, she was too fast, leaving him to sulk all the way back to UA shamefully.

"Sero, are you all right? Your eyes are all red and puffy..." Ashido comforted, "I-I saw her." Hanta whispered, barely loud enough for anyone to hear. He couldn't move, his jaw ached, and he light-headed. "What's going on?" the gruff voice of their teacher inquired. "Mr. Aizawa, can I talk to you?" Hanta hesitated, "Maybe somewhere else? I, I don't feel comfortable saying it here." "That's fine, come along now."
Mr. Aizawa pulled Hanta aside, "Now what is it that you want to tell me?" Hanta gulped, suddenly feeling the weight of worlds collide on him. "I saw (Y/n), and I tried to catch her, but she just... ran away so quickly"
Aizawa drew in a shaky breath, "We're going to the police, Hanta, thank you for telling me." Aizawa said gently.

"Alright, Mr. Hanta, where did you see (L/n) (Y/n) ?" Hanta let out a shakily voiced answer, "In Oujisaki Park, near the Kitsuedono Forrest." "Did she look the same as before her going missing or different? Did she have any injuries?" "She looked different, she was wearing a kitsune mask and an old plain (f/c) colored kimono, and just that, from what I could tell at the time And no, there were no injuries from what I saw at the time." "Okay, those were the last questions, you're free to go." Hanta got out of the police department and into the dorms, immediately being bombarded by his classmates and friends. Yaoyorozu got in between him and his classmates, "Everyone please stop! He's already stressed from the interrogation, we need to give him his space right now. Besides, it's a few minutes before it's time for curfew."
Everyone quickly calmed down, and headed to their dorms for the night, feeling worried for both their missing classmate and dear friend.
