You were exhausted as you opened the doors of the pizzariba the next day. You were struggling to keep your eyes opened and you had already dropped the keys. You rubbed your eyes, slowly pushed the doors open and made your way to the kitchen. You were all partied out from the previous night and you were seriously regretting it now. Speedy was visiting his family and so left you to look after the place for the time being.

You started preparing the food and you were feeling more awake now as you fixed the tables prepared yourself to take orders that day. The place was pretty much dead but you noticed someone sitting in a corner with a sorrowful expression on his face. He was a strange looking creature, not like anyone you'd ever seen before, but a customer was a customer.

"Hey! Can i take your order?" You smiled pleasantly at him as you got your notebook and pencil out. As you got closer, you noticed he was actually wearing the restaurant's uniform so you thought he must be new here.

"Uh, no, sorry i was just leaving anyway" He answered politely but not really wanting to say much more about it.

"Something wrong?" You asked.

"Not really. You don't really need to hear about it so i won't waste your time"

"Hey, if you wanna talk about something then I'm here. The place is quiet and I'm willing to listen" You sat down beside him and smiled.

"Well...alright" He sighed and began to pour it all out. His name was Marvin, he told you he was a martian and about how difficult things had been for him since moving to earth. He recalled to you a tale about how some children had bullied him just before he arrived at work and you listened intently to him as he poured out his tale. You would try to offer advice to console him if you could if listening wasn't enough.

"Aww, you poor thing" You said as he finally stopped talking. "Kids can honestly be so cruel, but don't listen to them"

"I try not to"

"There's nothing wrong with you, just because you're a martian, that doesn't make a difference. I value you" You smiled at him, making his heart melt as you got up.

"Well, thank you, i really don't know what to say, (y/n)" He said as a pink blush spread all over his cheeks.

"Wait, how did you know my name?" You asked in confusion.

"Your name tag?" He raised an eyebrow.

"Oh yeah" You giggled in embarrassment. "I'm sorry, were you ordering anything?"

"Oh no, I'm just getting up to go back to work"

"Where do you work?" You asked him. He was seriously enjoying all this good attention you were giving him.

"Actually my dear, i work here. I deliver the foods"

"Really? Wow, i can't believe I've never seen you here before"

"Well i really do hope to see you again" He waved and watched you a little as he left. Another customer you hadn't noticed had slipped in was was sitting in a corner and taking this all in as his wicked eyes watched you two from above his newspaper. A plan came together in his mind as he saw the way the little alien was instantly smitten with you. He sat there quietly cackling as an evil grinch smile formed in his face. "Excuse me, sir, what would you like to order?" You interrupted the turtles train of thought. "Oh, uh, just a pizza slice" He answered, trying not to look at you in case you recognised him.

He swiftly finished his food and slipped out again unnoticed and he saw the little Martian preparing to deliver some food, he decided that now was the time pollute his mind and watch his plan unfold.

"Say, buddy, having problems, eh?" He said smoothly as he approached his unsuspecting victim.

"Um, well yes, I was but I don't really see what concern it is of yours" He answered, quite taken aback by Cecil's boldness.

"Ah, but I see that waitress girl sorted it all out nicely, didn't she?"

" She did, what an angel" He said dreamily as he thought back at your kindness and beautiful smile.

"I bet that pleased her a lot" he said suspiciously.

"Why would it?" The alien asked, confused at what he was hearing.

"Oh, no reason why" He said and walked off.

"No wait, why would she be pleased to talk to me?" He asked as he grabbed Cecil and looked into his cold, dead eyes like a sharks with his own large eyes, demanding an answer.

"Well isn't it obvious?"

" No" He was becoming more frustrated now.

"Well anyone who's ever been to the pizzariba can see she's clearly obsessed with you" He said with an evil smirk.

"What?" His grip on his arm became tighter as he said this. "B-but, she said that she had never even seen me before"

"What she meant was that you both had never met before. Listen, this girl is clearly in love with you. As a loyal customer I should know, everyone sees the way she looks at you, she's just shy"

"Really?" His face turned red at the thought that you could like him. The very thought of it! He just meets and falls for a beautiful and sweet girl and now finds out she's in love with him? It all seemed to good to be true.

"You know what you gotta do now, kid"

"Tend to her and cater to her every whim no matter how demeaning in hope of her affection?"

The green turtle facepalmed at this simpy answer. "No! You gotta marry her!"

" isn't that a bit sudden? " He stared in confusion.

"Heck no! She's said it thousands of times, I caught her saying it on so many occasions under her breathe! "

"Goodness, this seems strange, but if it's my destiny then so be it! "

"Good" Said Cecil.

Marvin then remembered about the deliveries he had to make and quickly hurried off as Cecil just stood there, smirking wickedly, his smile almost splitting his face in half. "With the mouse's little girlfriend out of the way, he'll set off on a wild goose chase to find her, Bewgs will surely follow after and with them gone, I'll buy the restaurant and then I will have complete revenge on them! And they couldn't even charge me because i didnt do anything illegal! Oh you are brilliant, Cecil" He smirked to himself and rubbed his hands together as the martian set off to make his deliveries.

Speedy had returned by that time. He rushed into the restaurant and immediately went straight to the kitchen where you were.

"Speedy!" You exclaimed with joy to see him and put down the fries you were frying.

"Buenos dias mi amor" He smiled as you put your arms around him and kissed him. "I see you've looked after the place while i was visiting family for new year"

"You were only gone an hour" You laughed and put together an order as you prepared to deliver it.

" I know. But you're very responsible, you have the makings or a restaurant owner yourself"

"I do?" You blushed. "Oh, thanks, i think"

"Eets a compliment" He chuckled and delivered another order, quick as a flash. Business was slow that day but he wasn't. "I hope we can be together and get to know each other more this year" He smiled as you both put together another order. But boy, was he wrong! Cecil had a plan to break you two up and cause a lot of unhappiness and he planned on putting that plan to full effect very soon!
