The next evening, it was decided. Bugs had made some investigations and found out where the two criminals were staying and was going to see if he could find it anywhere. That would make this whole ugly mess a lot easier to clear up if you knew who it was exactly rather than getting the police to look first.

"Now (y/n), you can stay here and wait with Speedy" said Bugs as he put his coat on, ready to go out.

"Alright. I hope that's where it is, I'm really worried" you responded. You were trying to keep yourself calm but couldn't help but feeling a bit unsettled. It was kind of Bugs to look for it for you and let you sit in his place till he was sure it was there.

"I'm sure that's where eet ees, (y/n), it'll be alright" Said Speedy as he tried to comfort you.

" it will" replied Bugs. "Alright, I'm off. Just keep the house clean for me and ignore Daffy if he's being annoying"

"Will do" you smiled, trying to hide your fear.

"There's no need for you to worry" Speedy said softly. "You'll get your purse back"

" I do hope so"

It was silent for a moment after that before Speedy spoke up. "Would you like something to eat?"

" In Bugs house? " you asked, thinking it was strange of him to offer you someone else's food.

"I live here too you know!" he retorted.

" What? Really? " you turned and looked at him in surprise.

"Si! Een this hole in the wall here!" He said as he proudly showed you to his humble abode.

You took a peak inside the place. "Ooh, certainly very nice!" You smiled as you took a look around.

"Gracias."

whilst you were busy observing his house, Bugs had found the place. He chose the late evening so that no one would see him. "That looks like the place" he muttered to himself as he began to climb up the drainpipe. "I know this feels kinds wrong to break into someones flat, but I'm just gonna check to make sure it was these clowns that stole her purse. That would make this mess a whole lot easier to clear up"

He caught sight of the pair. They were talking and so Bugs started to listen, In hope of them leaving.

"Alright, Mugsy, the jobs tonight so we better make a move on" said Rocky to his dimwitted partner in crime.

"Duh! Right, boss!" And so they both left and now Bugs had his chance.

"Just wait a second, wait...now!" It was lucky for him they left a window half-open and he climbed inside.

" tsk, tsk" Bugs shook his head as he looked around. "This place could really do with a clean, and I'm not just talking dirt, look at the money!" He said to himself as he took in his hands the wads of cash they had stolen.

H dropped the money and kept looking around and eventually came across a purse which he assumed to be yours. "Ah, this must be it" Bugs was an intelligent rabbit. He wasn't just gonna rush off with it. He opened it and took a good look at the contents. "Is this her phone?' He asked himself as he switched it on. "It is" he smiled before putting it back and leaving for home where Speedy and (y/n) were anxiously waiting.

You jumped from your seat as you heard the door open and you ran to greet Bugs. "Bugs! Was it there? Did you get it back?" You asked excitedly.

"Si! Did you?" Asked Speedy.

"Well it was there"

" Yes! "

"Awesome! Now let (y/n) have it back!" Cried Speedy.

"Actually, I didn't bring it back with me"

You were both astonished. "What? Why?" Asked Speedy.

"Well listen. Tomorrow we'll head down to the police station, tell em you recognised who robbed you and that you also know where they're hiding out. There's plenty more stolen goods there along with your purse, (y/n), I can guarantee the police will be more than happy"

"Oh Bugs! That's genius!" Replied Speedy.

"It's just common sense. Come on, want to play some board games or watch tv or something before you go home, (y/n)?" Bugs offered and you couldn't say no. You were glad you had such great friends who helped you like this in times of need. Speedy took out a board game and Bugs made some snacks and you all enjoyed yourself and forgot all about your purse until tomorrow.
