It had only been a couple of hours, but you were settling in to your new home. Lola had switched the tv on and started watching something, when you heard a knock at the door.

"Do you want me to answer it for you?" You offer.

" Sure, why not? " Lola replies, her eyes glued to the screen.

You got up off the couch and made your way to the door to answer it. "Oh, hey (y/n)" came a friendly greeting. It was Bugs. " Is Lola there? "

"Yeah, she's here" you replied as you let him in.

"Hey Bugs" she was still fixated on the tv.

"Uh, Lola"

"Mhm?"

" You didn't forget bout our date tonight, did you? " he put his hands on his hips.

She panicked. "Oh my gosh, no, I didn't! How could I forget that? How could you accuse me of something like that?!? "

"Relax Lola, no one's accusing you of anything. It's just Daffy and Tina are there and they're waiting"

"Well what are you waiting for? Let's go already! " she grabbed his hand and ran for the door. "Wait, (y/n), do you wanna come?" She asked.

" Oh no, I'll just stay here and watch tv" you refused politely.

"(y/n)! All day you've settled for the mediocre! Come on! Please?" She was practically begging. You didn't want to go cos you thought it would be awkward, but she was so insistent that you couldn't say no.

"Uh, well, if you really want me to go..." You say, getting up.

" Atta girl! You'll love this place! It's an authentic Italian restaurant! "

"Uh, Mexican actually, Lola" Bugs corrected her.

"What? Huh. Anyways, are you coming! Let's get going!" You threw your cost on and rushed out the door with them and hopped in the car. The city was really beautiful like this at night time. You could tell you were going to like it here.

You arrived at the place. "Speedys pizzariba" you read the huge sign on the building. "I'll give it a whirl"

"You'll love this place!" Lola squealed excitedly.

"Come on Lola, we don't want to be late" bugs hurried her out of the car park.

As you entered the place, you looked around at all the tables and the people who were eating there. You saw a table where Daffy was sitting with who must be Tina. She was a light feathered duck with brown hair, she was quite pretty, you thought as you went over to the table.

"What's SHE doing here?" You heard Daffy whispering. Maybe you shouldn't have come with Lola.

"Oh, it's ok! She's with me! I asked her to come with us!" Lola replied.

"Huh, and you didn't think about anyone else, did you?" He said, making you feel even more uncomfortable .

"Daffy!" Tina replied.

"What?"

" stop it! "

"Stop what?"

" No, he's right you replied. "I shouldn't have come. I'll get another table if you want"

"Huh, anythings better than this" Daffy huffed, causing Tina to give him a nudge.

There was a table for one not that far away, so you say there.

"Yeesh" you overheard Daffy complaining again. "Why do call him Speedy Gonzales when it takes him this long to take my order?"

" Daffy! Shut up! " Bugs answered him.

"Oh well excuse me for wanting to have a nice date with my girlfriend! Which she's paying for"

"What?" Replied Tina.

"Nothing dear"

Suddenly, like a flash, Speedy appeared. Notebook in hand. "I am ready to take your orders!"

" Not before time"

"Daffy!"

" What? "

Speedy ignored him. "So, what are you all having?"

Everything else from there was a blur. You kept trying to get a look at this magnificent creature that ran so fast. Was that really him? Maybe that's why they call him Speedy Gonzales. And like a blur, before you knew it, he was standing there before your eyes on your table.

He was a little brown mouse with a sombrero on, clad in white clothing with a red scarf (I think that's what that is) and had the cutest Mexican accent.

"May I take your orde..." He stopped . It seemed that he was just as amazed with you as you were with him. No, it's not because you were fast, but because he found you attractive. VERY attractive. Very beautiful.

"Uh, excuse me? Are you ok?" You ask as he just completely stopped for a few seconds.

"What?" That was when he came back to reality. "Oh, so not worry about me, I am fine! What would you like?" As you placed your order, he was completely engrossed with you, your hair, eyes, lips, everything. You were the prettiest woman that he had ever laid eyes on, and believe me, that's saying something.

He was quick with your order, they didn't call him Speedy for nothing. "Enjoy your meal" he replied , looking into your eyes. "Thanks" you replied as you tucked into your meal. After you finished, it was time for you to leave. Tina was taking Daffy home, but you were going Bugs and Lola again.

As Speedy was closing up the restaurant for the night, he couldn't stop thinking of you. He was captivated by you.

ay ay ay he thought to himself. That chica is the most beautiful I have ever laid eyes on. Polite and charming, she is like a goddess. I just hope this goes better than the last time I was "I'm love" with Kathy, who actually turned out to be Bugs. He shuddered at the thought of that now.

As you made your bed on the sofa, you began thinking about trying to get a job tomorrow. Where could you look for one? You'd think about it in the morning.
