"Things have gotten worse. Really worse. I'm trying my best, but I'm failing. We're losing money rapidly. Unfortunately, this will affect us all." Mom said.

"Mom, please tell me I can still by that new phone I've been begging for, for months." Lilla said.

"I'm sorry sweetie nobody gets new things." Mom said.

"What? Mom, I'll literally die if I cannot get that new phone. My life will officially be over." Lilla said.

"Don't be so dramatic." I say.

"Naru, shut up." Lilla said shoving me.

She looked like she was about to cry. I've had a really hard time controlling my emotions, but still, I wouldn't cry over this. Her cheeks were getting redder.

"I need all of us to pitch in. Think of ways how to get money. Even you Henry." Mom said looking at Dad.

He put his hand over hers.

"Of course, honey."

I wanted to tell her, but I couldn't. I needed to find this out for myself. I needed to know.
