Anastasiya's eyes were as blue and large as Rose's. Funny enough, her hair was as brown as mine, but the rest was all Rose. I loved her instantly from the moment I first held her, and I didn't need to question whether the child was really mine because I felt it. I will protect them both with all my might from now on.

I seemed to have fallen asleep with Anastasiya on my chest, both of us sleeping peacefully. Until Rose grinned down at us, standing up.

"Wake up, it's already 12 o'clock," she said.

I slowly opened my eyes and sat up carefully, still holding Anastasiya, who was still asleep. I gave her a kiss and then looked up at Rose. I felt so guilty, so wrong, so miserable towards her. I had messed everything up. I had hurt her and nearly lost her because of it. I carefully placed Anastasiya on the bed, making sure she wouldn't fall off, and then stood up to hug Rose again. Her blue ocean eyes, filled with life, tore at my heart. She hugged me back, her fragile body trembling.

"Rose, I don't know how I can make up for the past months," I said.

She looked up at me, shaking her head with a smile, tears welling in her eyes.

"Please don't cry," I whispered, placing my forehead against hers.

Tears welled up in my eyes too. I missed her so much.

"Rose, you have no idea how much I love you," I confessed.

She sobbed softly, "I love you too, and all I want now is for us to be a family again."

I smiled at her, promising, "I'll make it happen, and I'll bring your mother here too."

Her eyes lit up, and I realized how much I had missed her, especially her eyes.

"I'll take care of everything from now on, don't worry. And as for Collon, he'll suffer the same fate," I said, determination in my voice.

Her eyes sparkled with a newfound fire, something defiant. I messed up her hair playfully, and she pouted at me, smiling.

"I have something prepared for Collon that you'll like"

"That bastard deserves a hefty punishment," she replied, grinning at the thought.

Anastasiya stretched in bed and started crying. I panicked, trying to calm her down.

"Hey Rose, is it normal for her to cry like this?" I asked.

Rose burst into laughter, and I stared at her in amazement at her beautiful smile. The doorbell rang, and I wondered who it could be.

"Take care of Anastasiya, I'll go answer the door".

She nodded, and I kissed her forehead before leaving the room, going down the stairs, and opening the door. It was Jin Woo. He was wearing a work suit, his hands in his pockets, grinning at me. Rose came down the stairs with Anastasiya.

Jin greeted her with a smile, "Ah, Rose and Anastasiya, there you are."

I stepped into his line of sight and looked at him seriously.

"Can I know what you're doing here?"

Rose said from behind me, "He wants  me to repay the favor he did for me."

I turned to her, confused. "Favor?"

"Yes, the favor of saving your wife and taking care of her for 12 months, essentially being Anastasiya's father," he explained.

The mention of "father" angered me. I grabbed him by the collar, furious.

"Watch what you say," I growled.

"Hey Dante, let him in first," Rose's voice sounded pleading.

I released his collar, and he walked past me into the house, provocatively saying, "Yeah, listen to your wife, Dante."

I scoffed and slammed the door shut.

We entered the living room, and Jin sat down without asking, which further strained my nerves. He spread his arms out.

"Nice villa," he remarked.

"Don't annoy me and say what you want," I replied.

He grinned and leaned forward in his seat.

"Rose," he began.

There was a brief silence before I reached for the gun at my hip and pointed it at him. The rage surged within me, and in the moment I pulled the trigger, Rose was already there, grabbing my arm just in time, and the bullet went through the vase next to Jin. Jin didn't flinch but only narrowed his eyes, looking at the vase and then at me in shock, raising his arms.

"Chill, it was just a joke," he said.

"I'll kill you," I growled, already moving towards him, but Rose shouted in annoyance

"THAT'S ENOUGH!"

We both looked at her wide-eyed, even Anastasiya looked shocked.

She sighed irritably and addressed Jin, "Shut your mouth with your stupid jokes and say what you want."

He grinned at her, but it was the kind of smile a man gives when he's interested in a woman.

"Rose, please go upstairs," I said firmly

"But-"

I was looking at her until she finally listened and went upstairs.

"The only reason I'm not killing you right now is because you helped her. Otherwise, I swear I would have killed you "

"How kind of you," he replied sarcastically.

I just stared at him, trying to control myself. I cracked my neck.

"It's about what we discussed at the company," he continued.

"The formula for the serum,"

I nodded. "Agreed,"

he looked surprised. "No objection?"

"Why would I object?" I replied.

"Because you won't be the only one selling it anymore," he said.

"Who says you'll be more successful than me?"

He scoffed and stood up.

"We'll see," he said, heading towards the door.

 I also stood up.

"Be careful not to catch a bullet accidentally at night," I warned.

 He turned around.

"Jealous?" he asked.

I didn't answer, and he left. I shook my head in annoyance.

Rose came back down the stairs and sighed, "I know, he's annoying."

It bothered me that they already knew each other so well, and that Jin had helped her during her pregnancy. I took a deep breath as I realized that Collon was to blame. I grabbed my jacket and headed for the door.

"Where are you going?" she asked.

 I turned to her.

"I'm going to take care of Collon," I replied.

She hurried down the stairs and came to me.

"I want to come with you," she said.

I looked at her confusedly.

"It will only bring back bad memories for you," I warned.

She shook her head seriously. "No, it will help me leave the past behind once and for all."

 "And what about Anastasiya?"

"The servant here will take care of her," she replied.

I thought for a moment, then looked at her, seeing determination in her eyes. I smiled at her.

"Then let's go."

I opened the door, and we both stepped out and headed for the car. I opened the car door for her, and we drove off. I noticed her nervousness. She kept biting her lip whenever something indirectly bothered her. We drove towards the bridge. She started trembling, and I stopped the car, placing a hand on her thigh.

"Rose, you don't have to do this," I said.

She breathed irregularly, shaking her head, and opened the door. I sighed worriedly, got out of the car, and saw Claus there already. We walked over, and I wrapped an arm around her, but she only looked worriedly at the spot. When we arrived, we saw Collon tied up in a junk car, screaming desperately, but his mouth was taped shut. He was bruised and battered from all the beatings. Rose took a step back, and her expression told me she was scared. I hated this place because it was the worst place for me when I found out what happened to Rose.

Every week for the past 12 months, I came here, desperate.

 "Everything's ready, Dante," Claus said.

I nodded to him, and we took a step back. Collon looked at us pleadingly, tears streaming down his face.

"Start it," I said.

Claus nodded and took out his remote control. Rose cuddled closer to me, and I kissed her forehead. Claus pressed the button, and the car started moving on its own. It picked up speed, faster and faster until it reached the same spot where Rose had been thrown off, and the car flew off. We watched the scene unfold calmly. I looked at Rose, who then smiled at me.

 "It's over," she said.

I nodded back at her with a smile. "Its really over."
