Adrien's POV

"Adrien.....I.....I love Marinette....."

These words surprised me. It never really crossed my mind if Luka liked anyone.

"Woah dude! That's awesome! Marinette's a really sweet girl so I understand why you have feelings for her!"

"Heh yeah a--" he was trying to say before he got interrupted by an giant akuma

"LUKA! RUN!" I blocked Luka using my arms as he ran torwards a nearby table to hide

I hid behind a wall to transform

"Plagg! Claws out!"

I ran to the akumatized victim as quick as I could, I suddenly saw a girl with pigtails in the hands of the akuma

"Marinette?!"

"Chat Noir! Help me!" She screamed as her breath was slowly being taken away from her

"Marinette! Keep breathing"

I ran to this horrible creature yu free Marinette but it got a hold of me

"No!"

"Ergh, Ladybug! Where are you!"

"Yes! Snatcher; take his Miraculous" I heard hawkmoth yell through the butterfly lens

Marinette whispered: "Chat Noir, your pole, it's still in your paws! Turn it horizontally and extend it to break free"

"Great idea!"

I did as she said and "Snatcher" let go of me! I ran up his arm to his eyes and kicked his eyeballs. He got so hurt that he let go of Marinette as well.

"AHHHHHH!" She screamed

Shoot. She's falling.

I jumped down the Akuma as it was rubbing its eyes and I caught Marinette. Before we reached the ground, I extended my pole horizontally and luckily, there were walls that made my pole save us.

Marinette was in my kitty paws, hugging me tightly.

"Thanks Chat Noir...." she whispered softly

I could feel pink spread on my face so I covered my face with my banana hair

I "poled" over to her home

"Thank you so much again, kitty...." she smiled

"K-kitty?!"

Marinette's POV:

Frickfrickfrickfrick I said kitty!! No no I'm not Ladybug!!

"AH! Sorry Chat Noir! I meant to say that f-for someone e-else! yeahhh!!!"

"Wait, for who?" The curious cat questioned

Oh no, I messed up with my word again

"U-uh....m...."

"Ergh! Non of your business Mr. Curious the Cat!"

"Wow okay. You're feline a little salty" he murmured

"Don't you have an Akuma to catch?"

"AGH! You're right! The cat's late! Gotta run. But we'll be talking about this PURRfect person that you want to call kitty!" He saluted and ran off

"I sure hope he won't come back...."

-------AFTER AN AKUMA ATTACK--------

"Princess...?" Chat Noir knocked at my door

"He remembered."

"Go away Chat Noir!"

"I want to talk to you! The cat's lonely!!" He yelled through the window

"Ugh..." I groaned

I opened my window and he swooped into my room. He looked around a saw....oh no....

"That's a lot of pictures of m-- I MEAN ADRIEN AGRESTE!" Chat stuttered awkwardly for some reason

"oH YEAH THAT!! WELL I USE HIM AS MY rEfErEnCe FOOooooR DESIGNING! YES-YAS THAT!"

"Hmmmm." He looked at me suspiciously

It was my doomsday

"Cool!" He brightened up. "You must be such a good friend to this-- 'Adrien Agreste' guy!"

Oh yeah I forgot, my kitty's stupid

"Yeah...I'm just a friend...."

"Anyway....listen princess.....I was just wondering...are you interested in any guys??...." he smirked

"Chat Noir, are you hitting on me?"

"w-wHAT?! NO! THIS CAT IS THE MOST POLITE KITTEN IN TOWN!" He freaked

"I'm asking...for a friend...."

"Who then?" I deviously asked

"Ugh! Is it too wrong to ask?!" He growled

"Woah. Calm down kitty cat." I teased.

"To be honest with you.....currently...I'm......interested in 2......"

"Ooooo~ who's the lucky fellows little lady??~~" he winked

"Hey! Enough questions answered!"

"Awwww..." he frowned "But we've been friends for so long princess! C'mon! You can trust this feline!"

"Chat Noir...you're a good friend to me. I just don't know if I can trust you....."

"Fiiiine~" he fell on chair

"Oh! By the way Chat, how's your daddy issues?"

"Gotten worse." He said without any happiness

"How so?"

"He's been preventing me from going out with my friends more and more. I can see anger in his eyes whenever he sees me. As if, it was my fault that my mother disappeared...." chat teared up

"Chat Noir.....I'm so sorry.....you're story reminds me of a boy I know......"

"Oh really?" His ears stood "Who's this boy?!"

"What's with the sudden interest?"

"I've told you my daddy issues! Now tell me your 'issues'." He urged me

"Fine. And he's not an issue. He's just....a boy.....that I......"

"That you....?"

"l-like...."

He fell off the chair "WAIT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT A-- I MEAN......WHO's ThIs boy....??!"

"I've said too much......besides, you didn't tell me the name of your dad! Why should I tell you the name of the boy I like?"

"If I told you, my identity would be revealed." Chat Noir remarked

"Why? Is he popular or something?"

"I'm not answering that princess." He said in no amusement

"Ergh. Fine....."

I took my phone from my desk and saw a text from Luka

Luka: "lol! mari i almost died today!!!"

I giggled

Marinette: "Aww man and I wasn't there to see it."

Luka: "shut up i know youll miss me"

The curious cat peaked to see who I was texting

"You text Luk—. i meAN— who are you texting there, er, little lady?" Chat Noir panicked for some reason

"Nobody in particular." I blushed

"Aw, the little lady has a crush!" Chat Noir smirked

"Wh-wha! No! I mean— I guess...he was the one who comforted me when my long-time crush seemed to have been ignoring me....."

"Meowch." Chat Noir tried to joke around.

Narrator's POV:

To no amusement, Marinette did not respond to this pun. She was too deep in thought. Conflicted, on who she really loved. She became a little teary-eyed.

"Chaton, the guy I'm texting is 16 years old. He might not like me back....and the other guy I like....doesn't even notice me...." Marinette covered her face as she sobbed

The kitten felt pity for his 2nd lady. He's never really seen her like this, not even in his civilian form

"Look, princess..if it makes you feel better...Ladybug doesn't notice me either. Whatever I do, whatever I try to do..she brushes me off like a fly. And I'm not even a bug!" Chat tried to cheer up Marinette

"Chat Noir...I'm sure Ladybug doesn't think of you like that. She might just be, conflicted as well....." Marinette answered

"What do you mean?"

"Maybe she's also gaining feelings for you. But she's been crushing on to many guys that, she doesn't want to hurt you. You're her partner she could never dream of breaking the relationship and bond that you 2 have...." Marinette softly said, feeling her heart shatter as she continued to think about what she was saying. It was true. She just indirectly confessed to Chat Noir

Chat's eyes shimmered at what Marinette said. His heart pounding in his chest. He could feel his face turning bright red because of how sincere and sweet Marinette tried to comfort him. It felt so sincere, it felt as if..Ladybug was the one confessing to him

Chat Noir shook the thought from his head: "Well that's a really wild guess."

"Oh! Yeah...hah! You know us girls~! We could really feel what each other feels" Marinette tried to save herself from her identity being revealed

"Oh...yeah..." Chat Noir's ears drooped

"Yeah...." they said at the same time

"Well, anyways princess, your knight and shining kitten needs to flee now! Adios Amiga!" Chat Noir winked

Marinette waved awkwardly. She went back to her room and sighed

"How was your night with Chat Noir Mari!" Tikki flew to me

"I think I lied to him Tikki...." Marinette sighed

"Lie to him about what?" Tikki asked

"I told him I only liked 2 people...but I think....

...I think.....

...I like 3..."

Adrien swooped through his window

"Plagg...claws in...." he said in a broken voice

"Kid you alright?" Plagg asked, worried

"Ugh...I wanted help out Luka with Marinette....but it seems as if can't anymore..." Adrien sighed, disappointed in himself

"You teenagers. Always confused about their feelings. You should be like me! All I'm confused about is if I should eat the 100 year old cheese first or the 101 year old cheese first." Plagg scoffed

Adrien looked at Plagg, annoyed.

A week after this incident, Adrien felt as if he should tell Marinette about his little crush on her.

He entered the classroom to see Luka kissing Marinette on the cheek

"I'll see you later cinnamon bun!" Luka said in a love struck voice

"You too blueberry!" Marinette reacted back, also lovestruck

"W-WHA?" Adrien was confused

"Yo dude! Mari's got a new -B-F-!" Nino laughed

"You guys are so cute together Marinette!" Rose said in her usual, happy-go-lucky tone

"Yeah. I'm so glad that you'll be my future sister-in-law Marinette" Juleka smiled

"Aw Juleka! Stop!" Marinette blushed

Chloe scoffed: "Why does a cute-punk looking guy have to go out with someone like Marinette!"

Marinette didn't react to Chloe's offensive statement. She was just staring into the distance, love filled her whole world.

"If you don't mind me asking girl, when did he ask ya? I've never really seen you guys ever date."

"Well...we sorta did actually....but I thought it was just a friend-date. A week ago, he confessed to me when I was feeling down in the dumps. And the way he said it, I just couldn't say no~! We didn't want to say it to anyone, well, I didn't want to. But Luka kept insisting so we did. Today." Marinette said enthusiastically

Adrien could feel his heart break into a million pieces. He didn't know why, he still had Ladybug. But it felt as if, even she had disconnected from him as well

--------AFTER CLASS AND AFTER THE USUAL PATROL--------

"I'll see ya later Bugaboo." Chat Noir flirted

"Chat Noir. We need to talk." Ladybug said in a serious tone

"What is it Lovebug? You seem so serious that it's freaking meowt!"

"I'm....in a relationship now......"

Chat's heart's pieces dropped (A/N: cuz it was broken already. i hope that made sense lol)

"I don't think you should call me Bugaboo anymore. It would really upset him...." Ladybug continued

"I'm sorry, Chat Noir."

Ladybug flew off.

Chat was so broken. He needed to know who it was.

He followed Ladybug to see where she would detransform..it was Marinette's balcony

"Tikki! Spots off!" Marinette chanted

It was Marinette

She was his love bug
His bugaboo
His counterpart

She was taken away....

Chat Noir wept by a roof top.

flutter flutter

The sounds of butterfly wings filled the air

It was an akuma

It entered his pole

"Hello Chat Noir. I'm willing to give you the power to destroy the person who took your princess...... Make sure you destroy every single bone in that lady-stealer using your Cataclysm. And your Lady with be all yours. The only price here will be yours Miraculous and hers. Then I'll leave you 2 alone, peacefully."

It was tempting. The anger and jealousy was rising up. Everything was leading to this. The voices of Ladybug/Marinette were echoing. Darkness filled every inch of his body, infecting his blood cells.

"Yes Hawkmoth"

"RISE! CHAT BLANC!"
