Chapter 13: Wolf and Kitty
A/N: "Soo... I won't lie, I goofed up at one point. Akito's weapon, the GN Sword was originally named Zeta. But by the end of Vol 1, I was calling it Alpha. So you know what, I'm changing it's name to that."
Emerald: "Pyrrha Nikos."
Within their Team Dorm Room, Emerald was sitting on the floor while looking at her scroll while Mercury was lying on his stomach, reading a comic as he was trying to calm himself from his encounter with Akito. However, sitting on one of the beds and sewing a black dress was the same young woman that Akito and his sisters spotted with the two, with the dark brown hair covering one of her amber colored eyes and she had a posture that screamed arrogance. She was the one Emerald referred to as, Cinder.
(Cinder Fall)
Cinder: "Ah, the invincible girl."
Mercury: "She's smart, I'd say she's invincible but..."
Cinder: "Do tell."
Emerald: "But we didn't find any more information about her.. However, we do have some useful information concerning, Akito Zara." Hearing his name caused her to hum in interest and look at them.
Cinder: "Oh? And what about him?"
Emerald: "He's the famed Wolf of the White Fang." Now that definitely caught Cinder's attention. "But, he's cautious of us. We ran into him and his little guard dog in that defector's book store."
Mercury: "Yeah. And when I fought him, he annoyingly did incredible of hiding his true abilities. And what's worse is that he remembers us. Chances are he'll tell Ozpin about us." At that, Cinder's eyes narrowed before he continued. "But, turns out he isn't as subtle as he thinks he is. I saw how his eyes changed to blue and his blade was coated in an ice aura. It didn't look like Dust nor did it look like a Semblance from the fact his Aura didn't go down the attack."
Emerald: "Are you saying he has...??" Her eyes widened in not only surprise but a bit of fear as well. Mercury only nodded.
Mercury: "It's a stretch, but not impossible. It would go with the rumors of the Wolf of the White Fang being seen shooting flames from his hands or freezing objects solid."
Cinder: "Oh my. How very interesting." She said, a grin slowly forming on her face. "Add him to the list." The green-haired teen looked at her for a while before snapping out of her small trance and quickly doing as she was told.
Mercury: "You should be able to take both of them no problem."
Cinder: "It's not about overpowering the enemy. It's about taking away what power they have. And we will, in time."
Mercury: "I hate waiting."
Cinder: "Don't worry, Mercury. We have a fun weekend ahead of us." She stated, her eyes glowing an amber color as her grin only grew more.
>Chapter 13: Wolf and Kitty<
A saddened Ruby sat behind a small table, her head resting in her hand in a depressed manner. Yang, Weiss and Setsuna were all located in the room, helping to decorate for the upcoming dance. However, neither Blake or Akito were present. Suddenly, Weiss placed two white tablecloths before her face.
Weiss: "I need you to pick a tablecloth!" She asked. Ruby took one glance at them but fell confused immediately.
Ruby: "Aren't they both the same?"
Weiss just sighed annoyingly at her.
Weiss: "I don't even know why I asked..."
She rolled her eyes before walking away. Soon, a loud bang was heard as Yang slammed a speaker onto the ground, causing both Ruby and her seat to hop in the air. As she wiped some sweat from her forehead, she looked up and spotted Setsuna climbing on one of the pillars in the room to tie a large banner to it. After that, she looked down to Yang.
Setsuna: "Like this?" the blonde gave a thumbs up.
Yang: "Perfect, Setsu!" She then looked to her sister. "So, have you picked out a dress yet?"
Ruby: "What's the point? Who cares about the dance if Blake isn't going...?" she sighed
Yang: "Oh don't worry, Blake will be going. And Akito too no doubt will be going too." She said with a confident grin before she spotted Weiss, and nearly freaked out. "Weiss! I thought we agreed no doilies!"
Weiss: "If I don't get doilies, you don't get fog machines!" She retorted, crossing her arms.
Neptune: "You're dance is going to have fog machines?" They turned around to see Sun and Neptune walk in, causing Weiss to immediately changed her demeanor.
Weiss: "We were thinking about it..."
Neptune: "That's pretty cool."
Sun: "You ladies all excided for dress up?" At that thought, Setsuna shuttered and rubbed her arm nervously.
Ruby: "Pfft, yeah right."
Yang: "Laugh all you want, I'll be turning heads tomorrow night. *wraps an arm around Setsuna's shoulder* And I'll make sure that she definitely breaks some necks tomorrow night!"
Setsuna: "Y-Yang...!" She stuttered with an embarrassed blush on her face.
In truth, Setsuna has never wore anything that was considered fancy and proper. Her clothes were usually revealing and gave others the impression that she was from the wild. She can't even wear shoes due to her legs having wolf paws and fur.
Weiss: "So, what are you two wearing?" She asked the two males in the room. Sun was looking at them before just gesturing to his own clothes.
Sun: "Uh... This?"
Neptune: "Ignore him, for he knows not what he says."
Sun: "Hey, I may have moved to Mistral but I grew up in Vacuo. It's not exactly the shirt and tie kinda place."
Weiss: "We've noticed." All but Setsuna deadpanned at him. Moving away from that however, Sun noticed two particular Faunus more specifically a Feline and a Canine missing from the group.
Sun: "So, uh... what does Blake think of all this? She still being... y'know... Blake-y?" he asked,
Weiss: *sighs* "Obviously."
Ruby: "I just can't think of a way to change her mind."
Yang: "Guys, trust me. Blake WILL be going to the dance. I have a plan." She assured them with a confident smile.
Sun: "And what about wolf boy?"
Yang: "Oh don't worry, he's going too. All I need is to get them in the same room and boom, mission accomplished." She said winking at them before she turned around and began to walk away, with the others looking at her in confusion.

Spring: "Big bro..? Are you okay..?"
Akito was on his way from the Headmaster's office, walking towards the dorm building silently with his arms in his pockets. After having a talk with Ozpin, he was going to head back to read. Along the way back, Spring was constantly trying to get him to talk again.
Spring: "Big bro, talk to us please..."
Winter: "It's no use Spring... He needs space. C'mon sisters, let's go help the others with the dance."
Hearing that caused the wolf to pause his movements, as his four sisters materialized in front of him.
Autumn: "Oh right! We practiced so that we can stay out at a much longer distance away from him. So long as he's on the school premisis now, we'll be able to wander about."
Summer: "Yeah." She looks at Akito. "Go take some time to yourself, Bro... But please come to the dance... we want to see you happy.." She said, with the other three nodding simultaneously before they all changed direction and began walking towards the building the dance was being prepared in.
Akito stood there for a while before sighing as he continued walking to the dooms... only to suddenly bump into a certain blonde girl.
Yang: "Hellllooo~!"
Akito: "What the fu-" She cuts him off by grabbing his arm.
Yang: "We need to talk."
With a cry of surprise, Yang sped off with the wolf in a sudden blur. A few minutes went by as Akito was leaning against a wall in Professor Port's Classroom, his eyes closed as his arms were crossed. He was trying his best to figure out what Yang was doing but that girl was so unpredictable that it was hard to pin point what her goal was. Speaking of Yang, she entered the classroom, dragging a clearly annoyed and tired Blake Belladonna, who hasn't noticed the wolf in the room just yet.
Blake: "Yang, if you're going to tell me to stop, you may as well save your breath."
Yang: "Oh, but I won't be the one doing the talking." The feline looked confused before she spotted the blonde gesturing towards where Akito was. "He is."
Blake: "I'm leaving." She said, turning around and making her way towards the door, only for Yang to stop her.
Yang: "No you're not. I'm getting sick of you two ignoring each other like this. You NEED to work things out, NOW. I won't take no for an answer." She said, gently pushing the slightly fatigued Blake towards Akito. "Good luck~!"
She sang before she left the room, closing the door behind them. An awkward yet tense silence filled the room before it was broken by a sigh from the Wolf Faunus, who leaned off the wall.
Akito: "Welp, it was gonna happen sooner or later. I don't know what I can talk about to change your mind considering... but let me ask this first.. The reason you're avoiding me.. it's because of what I did, huh?"
Blake: "I don't know what you're talking about." She lied, but he saw right through her.
Akito: "Yes you do. Actually no it was deeper... It wasn't what I did that hurt you.. it's what I said. I compared you to 'him'." In response, Blake flinched and looked away immediately. A sigh came from Akito. "Yeah... I'll admit I went too far there... I know how much you dislike Adam's views and methods. Me comparing you to him definitely reopened some deep emotional scars, and I'm sorry for that.."
Blake: "Don't apologize..." She muttered as she slowly looked back at him. Her tiered eyes seemed to be glistening a bit, showing that there were tears threatening to reveal themselves.
It was true, that comment deeply hurt her. It made her feel like she really was no better than Adam, when all she was trying to do was the complete opposite of him. But... internally, she couldn't blame Akito for comparing her to him. The way she acted towards him, it was in a similar fashion to Adam.
Akito: "Let's just sit down and talk.. I figured out something I want to tell you.. Is that okay with you?"
He asked as he slowly sat down in one of the benches, with him patting seat next to him. Blake, although still hesitant, nodded slowly and sat beside him.
Blake: "Okay.."
Once again the slightly awkward silence returned but was soon removed when Akito began to talk.
Akito: "You already know of my past... of how I was a slave for the Schnee Dust Company, how Adam and I escaped and how I rescued Setsuna."
Blake: "Yeah.. I couldn't forget that story even if I wanted to."
Akito: "Well... there's more to my story. More particularly after I left, which wasn't long after Ghira stepped down." At the mention of her father's name, Blake flinched but continued to listen. "When Setsuna and I left, we traveled around the world, looking for a new purpose. But we ended up in the most unfortunate location for Faunus..." Blake immediately caught on to what he was saying.
Blake: "Mistral.."
Akito: "That's right. Mistral never liked the Faunus, despite the headmaster of Haven Academy being a Faunus himself. I had told Setsuna to stay in the little cheap motel room we rented because I wanted her to do as least amount of work as possible. I tried to do anything to find some form of payment method, I was rejected. So I took up another job, 'more fitting of a killer like me' some would say. I became a Bounty Hunter. Thankfully, 99% of the time, my targets were Grimm spotted near the Kingdom. I was able to make enough to keep paying the rent of our room. But every time I came back, I was battered, tired and just completely drained of energy. It didn't help that Exia drained a lot of my energy every time I put it on back then, because of my poor maintenance of it. Setsuna saw how my condition was worsening, so she practically forced me to take her along on the missions. It was a good decision as it was much easier... but, we both eventually hit our limits."
A roughed up Akito and Setsuna were panting heavily as they stood before a Geist Grimm that had used rocks to form a Golem. They have been fighting it for well over 10 minutes now, but due to their already worsening condition, they were falling behind. A desperate Akito gritted his teeth as he pulled his life-long partner into his chest, ready to take the final impact for her.
"I was sure we were going to die.. but I mustered enough strength to protect Setsuna with my life. I was ready to pay the price... but it never came. When I looked up, the Grimm was dead... And standing before us, was 'him'."
Blake: "Him...?"
Akito and Setsuna both looked up, their eyes widening in both surprise and amazement as the white-haired man stood before them, a black and white pair of M1911-styled Handguns in his hands and a large sword on his back.
Akito: "He was... no matter how cringy this sounds.. our savor. He looked human and had an extremely powerful aura, so we were on the defensive. But his personality surprised us. He was like me... When he saw us, I assumed he took pity on us because he brought us to his house and nursed us back to our full strength. I had to ask him..."
Past Akito: "Why..? Why help us?"
???: "You two are good kids, willing to help up these higher up ass-hats despite the shit they put you through. But, I can see that fire still left in you two. I couldn't let that bright of a flame burn out so easily."
Akito: "That's what he said... despite how hopeless everything looked, I refused to let my flame burn out. From that point, he cared for me and Setsuna, as if we were his own children... Well, if you remember what happened to me and Setsuna in Vale, then you should know what happened..." Blake remained silent for a while before her eyes had widened slightly.
Blake: "What... happened to him..?"
Akito: "We don't know. The last thing he said to us, was that he was gonna take care of a mission... but he never came back from it. I didn't want to believe he died, I was determined to find him. So that's what I did. I set out to find out what happened to him and Setsuna joined me. Eventually, our nonstop search brought us to Vale. However, my body couldn't take it anymore and I collapsed, right in the center of the street, with police on our tails. If it wasn't for Ozpin, my stubbornness would have had me and Setsuna in that jail cell for much longer... And if they found out my true identity, we could have very well lost our lives that night..."
He closed his eyes and lowered his head. He could hear them, the desperate cries from Setsuna and his four sisters when he collapsed in the middle of the street, along with the distant sound of sirens which were nearly drowned out by the heavy downpour.
Blake: "Akito... I'm sorry that happened to you, and I understand what you're trying to tell me... but this is different. I'm not being tracked down by the police and this isn't just a search for answers! I can't just-"
Akito cuts her off, with him clenching his fists as his raven-black hair hid his eyes from her view.
Akito: "I never said to stop damnit! And I haven't gotten my answers yet! I don't know where he... my father is nor do I know what that mission he went on was! But, after what happened that night, I will NEVER let that control me. We're going to find the answers we're looking for, Blake. But if we destroy ourselves in the process, what good are we?"
Blake: "You don't understand! I'm the only one who can do this!"
Akito: "No, you don't understand!" he got up abruptly and glared down at her, his red eyes now glowing a fiery blazing color as the atmosphere around them began to get more and more tense. "If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?"
Blake: "I'd fight him!" She stated as she stood up as well, coming closer to the wolf who simply shoved her shoulder, causing her to stumble back slightly.
Akito: "You'd lose!"
Blake: "I can stop him!" She retorted as she attempted to push him, but came off being extremely weak from her exhaustion so he didn't even budge.
Akito: "Oh really!? You can't even stop me and I've fought the fucker twice now!"
He once again pushed her. He wasn't using much strength, in fact it was very weak, but due to how tired she was, Blake fell over instantly. Akito approached her as she slowly struggled to stand but as she flinched, expecting something else, she gasped. She found him hugging her tightly, his eyes reverting to normal.
Akito: "Please Blake... I'm not asking you to stop.. none of us are... But get some rest, please? Not just for you, but for the people you care about. You're worrying me kitty... I already lost a man I considered my father... I don't want to lose you too."
She could hear it in his voice, a tone that she never heard before; he was pleading with her... no, he was practically begging her. She felt multiple strings pull on her heart just from hearing his tone.
Blake: "Akito..."
The wolf slowly broke the embrace and gave her a slight smile. He gently squeezed her shoulders before walking past her and towards the door. However, he stopped and glanced over his shoulder back at her.
Akito: "And if you feel like coming out tomorrow, my dancing skills haven't gotten rusty just yet."
He said with a slight smile as he gave her a thumbs up, before exiting the room. Blake watched him go, a small pink hue on her cheeks as she slowly touched her lips, remembering that kiss before she sighed heavily.
Blake: "You idiot..." She said, but slowly her lips curved upwards into a smile.

Blake: "You like what you see, don't you~?" She taunted, much to his surprise as he blushed and looked away.
Akito: "Hmph. Shut it pussy cat..."
Blake: "Make me, Wolfie~"
