(Flashback)

Ozpin: "I apologize to call you up so late, Mr. Zara, especially after such a long mission."

After returning back to Beacon after the secret mission, Akito immediately received a message from Ozpin, asking him to meet him in the Headmaster's office. So tucking the crippled Setsuna to bed and saying goodnight to Team RWBY, he made his way to the headmaster office, where he was immediately taken by slight surprise from Ozpin's words. As he stared at him, Spring appeared in the room and held her hands up defensively.

Spring: "I swear I didn't say anything!" Ozpin only chuckled and shook his head.

Akito: "You know... I'm not surprised you knew about it.. I always figured you somehow have eyes all over the city."

Ozpin: "Well the multiple reports of a large Atlesian Paladin chasing some young Huntresses and Huntsmen would have also given me a clue."

Akito: "Pfft, it was totally in our control." He crossed his arms, looking away with a 'hmph', to which the Headmaster chuckled once again. "Anyways, what did you call me up here for; another mission?"

Ozpin: "Somewhat. I wouldn't call it a mission; more like an investigation. Lately A Dust Till Dawn shop was robbed in downtown Vale. I would like you to head down there and do some investigating. Considering you're extremely familiar with the White Fang, you may be able to identify whether they attacked it or not."

Akito: "Hmm... I see.. Alright, I'll take it. An investigation mission every once in a while is always a refresher." He said nodding his head as he turned to leave and Spring returned back into his mindscape. However, Winter suddenly appeared.

Winter: "Um, excuse me, Professor Ozpin?"

Ozpin: "Yes, Winter?" The blue-haired goat Faunus placed her hands behind her back.

Winter: "When my sisters and I first met you, you said something about us reminding you of some people. Exactly what did you mean by that?" She asked in a polite manner. Akito who had stopped, glanced back at the two as Ozpin seemed to be choosing his words carefully before he smiled and looked them.

Ozpin: "I did indeed said that. All five of you remind of some youngsters I used to 'teach'. I promise I will inform you all fully at a later date." The two siblings looked at each other before nodding.

Winter: "I understand."

(End of Flashback)

Walking through Vale during the night with his hoodie over his head, was Akito, still in his 'Invader' outfit from him immediately leaving Setsuna and Team RWBY back in the dorm. With his mission from Ozpin fresh in his mind, he followed the GPS route sent to his Scroll. He could hear in his head, the quiet mumbles of Spring in his head as she was fast asleep while the other three, Summer, Autumn and Winter were all wide awake and alert. Finally, he arrived at the robbed Dust Till Dawn Shop. It was taped off and due to it being so late at night, there was no one here.

Seeing that, he had arrived at his destination and that there were no one here, he put his scroll away and entered the dark shop, slipping under the police tapes.

Akito: "This should be the place... girls, mind giving me a hand?"

S.A.W: "Got it!"

With Summer, Autumn and Winter materializing next to him, the four siblings all dispersed into the shop and began to investigate. Akito in particular, made his way to the left wall, where some of the non-crystallized Dust was stored and activated Exia's interface, with the necklace around his neck glowing green in response and his red eyes glowing a bright cyan color.

Akito: "Hmm..." The interface beeped slightly picking up multiple finger prints on the dust containers. "Multiple Finger prints. Obviously some of those were from the Shop Keeper..."

He said as the picture of the Shop Keep, who owns pretty much all the shops in Vale popped up. But along with that, many masked White Fang Members also popped up.

Akito: "Tch... So the Fang really did hit this shop..."

Summer: "Big bro!" He glanced over towards the pink-haired deer Faunus, who was poking her head out from the backroom. "I found something in here!" With him calling over Winter and Autumn, the three of them made their way towards Summer's location, entering the room one by one, with Akito entering it first.

Winter: "What did you find, Summer?" In response, the sister in question handed what looked like a piece of paper to her brother who hummed and took it.

Autumn: "What is it?"

Summer: "I don't really know.. My guess is it's some form of plan concerning the Dust, but I don't really understand it. I think one of the guys that were robbing this specific room dropped it in the major rush."

As Akito looked at the paper, Exia's interface made the words a bit clearer, despite his Faunus genes allowing him to see better in the dark. As he was reading, he read out loud the word,

Akito: "Bomb..."

Autumn: "W-What!?"

Akito: "I'm not sure... but it seemed like a paper of objectives for this specific Dust Robbery. 1. Storm the Dust Till Dawn Shop at night. 2. Steal enough Dust that could be used to create bombs. 3. Escape and get back to Roman in the South East."

Summer: "They want to.. create b-bombs..?"

Winter: "But why? What would they get out of this?? And why are they working with Roman?"

Akito: "I don't know... but we should get this back to Ozpin as soon as possible.."

After their investigation, they made their way back to Beacon as soon as possible. After relaying the information to Ozpin and handing him the paper, Akito was dismissed to retire back into the dorm room. With his sisters all fast asleep in his mindscape, Akito yawned slightly and was making his way back towards the dorms, but for some reason, he had a sudden feeling to check the school library. So that's what he did. With his wolf ears twitching, he made his way towards the school library.

Upon entering, he immediately spotted a light in the darkness, from one of the many computers. He made his way towards it, and unsurprising to him, he spotted Blake, still in her 'Intruder' outfit as well. Her eyes were fixated on the screen which displayed multiple reports on the White Fang and Roman Torchwick. As she was searching every file she could find, the ears underneath her bow twitched.

Akito: *sigh* "Really, Blake?"

Blake: "What are you doing here, Akito? Shouldn't you be in Ozpin's office?"

Akito: "Shouldn't you be in bed getting rest?" The response the feline got was a click of her tongue. "You know I had a feeling you'd do something like this just from how your attitude was after Roman got away."

Once again, the feline didn't response. With a sigh, he walked over to her before pressing a button on the holographic keyboard, shutting off the computer completely, to which Blake did not take too kindly to.

Blake: "Why did you do that?" She snapped towards him, to which he just shrugged.

Akito: "Oh I don't know. Maybe to prevent you from depriving yourself of much needed sleep and rest?"

Blake: "You're interrupting me. I need to get back into researching what the White Fang and Roman are planning."

Akito: "And what? You're just gonna aimlessly search news articles with no chance of finding anything useful? Here's a shocking plan; drop this subject for a while, cause right now in the state you're in, you'll find nothing." She clenched her fists at that response.

Blake: "I thought you of all people would understand, Akito. The White Fang aren't going to wait until we're ready for them. Once they're plan is set, they'll attack. I mean you were there in the meeting; they've already stolen multiple of Atlas Technology and now Dust! And we had the perfect opportunity to capture Roman but he got away! And you're just telling me to drop it!?"

The two Faunus stared at each other, tired and stressed amber eyes into calm crimson ones. The wolf Faunus sighed and shook his head.

Akito: "I really thought better of you Blake.. In every mission we went into, you kept a level head and proceeded steadily and with caution. But look at you now, overly obsessive with the White Fang and Roman Torchwick. You're just as bad as Adam at this point." That final line, finally set her off.

Blake: "Don't you dare compare me to him!"

She yelled, standing up as she lunged her right fist forwards, aiming for his face, but the Wolf Faunus side stepped out of the way, grabbing Blake's arm at the same time before he slammed her against the wall and pinned her to it by her arms. The feline hissed and struggled to break herself free, but she internally knew; Akito was much stronger than her, physically, while she was the more agile of the two.

Blake: "Don't look down on me..." She muttered bitterly, avoiding eye-contact with him.

Akito was taller than Blake, but not by much as he was around Yang's height. He said nothing and removed his left hand from her right arm and gently caressed her cheek, while tilting her head so she looked at him. Hesitantly, she looked at him. However, what she didn't expect was the sudden feeling of warmth on her lips. Akito had moved in and took her lips with his own.

A kiss.

Blake felt her face heating up rapidly as a furious blush coated her face. She could taste him, his lips. Along with being surprisingly quite smooth and moist, they had the taste of coffee. She was trying to process everything; one minute they were arguing and the other, Akito kissed her. But, she knew she had to respond someway. Admittedly, she felt something towards the former Wolf of the White Fang. Slowly, she closed her eyes and relaxed her extremely tense body, slowly returning the kiss. With Akito fully freeing her arms and wrapping them around her extremely athletic figure, Blake returned that gesture and wrapped her arms around his neck, diving deeper into the kiss. Akito on the other hand, he felt the warmth and softness of Blake's lips, with a sweet taste.

After what felt like forever, the two Faunus slowly ended the kiss, with Blake having a heavy blush as her amber eyes looked into the crimson eyes of the wolf before her.

Blake: "A-Akito...?" There was a few seconds of silence as his face displayed a look of worry and slight regret.

Akito: "I'm sorry."

Before she could even have a chance to say anything, a gasp escaped Blake's lips as she felt a heavy impact along her neck, from Akito karate chopping her. Immediately after, she lost consciousness within his arms.

Akito: "I'm sorry Blake.. but this was the only way to get you to rest... You're hurting yourself by pushing yourself so far.. and I care about you too much to have you collapse on me... So rest and leave the heavy lifting to me... Kitty."

>Chapter 12: Extracurricular<

Within Glynda's Combat class, everyone was treated to a glorious display put on by Pyrrha Nikos, who single handedly defeated all of Team CRDL in a 1V4. The fight only lasted for what felt like a minute or two before all of Team CRDL were down for the count and Pyrrha was announced the victor.

Glynda: "Well done Ms. Nikos. You should have no problem qualifying for the tournament."

Pyrrha: "Thank you Professor."

Glynda: "Alright, now I know that's a tough act to follow but we have time for one more sparring match. Any volunteers?" She looked around the stands were the students were sat. Akito, who was sitting between Setsuna and Yang was about to raise his hand, only for Glynda to point to Blake, who was half asleep. "Ms. Belladonna? You've been rather docile for the past few classes... Why don't you-"

Blake was slowly falling asleep with an open book before her, practically jumped awake with her slamming the book shut in the process. With a disappointed but worried sigh, Akito shook his head. Despite his efforts that night, Blake still haven't stopped. As Blake was trying to stammer up an excuse, the silver haired boy named Mercury Black rose his hand. And sitting next to him was Emerald Sustrai. The duo were the same two who attacked Tukson at his book shop.

Mercury: "I'll do it." Everyone looked towards him, with Akito and Setsuna narrowing their eyes at him.

Glynda: "Mercury, is it? Very well, let's find you an opponent."

Mercury: "Actually... I wanna fight... him." He pointed towards Akito who only scoffed as he crossed his arms.

Akito: "Fine. Let's dance." Mercury only responded with a smirk. With both combatants entering the arena, with Akito equipping Alpha in blade form, the match began.

It started off with Mercury charging towards the Wolf Faunus at impressively quick speeds. With a leap into the air, he immediately threw a drop kick towards Akito who rose his right arm and blocked it with the shield segment of Alpha, creating a large clanging noise that took him by surprise. It sounded as if, a metallic object collided with his weapon. With a swift motion, Akito knocked the silver-haired kicker off, forcing him to backflip continuously away from him. Akito took this chance to charge ahead, with Mercury landing on his feet. He immediately sent a flurry of kicks towards the black wolf Faunus, who seemed to have been moving twice as fast as he perfectly dodged each kick and made a sweeping slash towards the male, who barely dodged the large blade of Alpha by leaping back.

Mercury's thoughts: "Fast. He definitely isn't called 'The Wolf of the White Fang' for nothing. So besides that and that sword and the shield he doesn't have out, let's see what truly makes him 'The Wolf of the White Fang'."

With Akito backing away, Alpha's blade flipped to the back, revealing the gun barrel. He aimed and fired multiple beams towards Mercury, who proceeded to kick the beams, which was causing them to dissipate. Soon after, he charged forwards and sent an overhead kick towards the Wolf, who rose his right arm and blocked with Alpha's guard once again.

Ruby: "Hey, you're friend's doing pretty good." She said, looking back towards Emerald who smiled back before rolling her eyes, upon Ruby looking away.

With a grin on Mercury's face, Akito faced him and reverted Alpha to Sword form, before blasting towards Mercury. He thrusts Alpha forwards, but the silver-haired teen slid to the side, dodging the attack and grabbing hold of the wolf's sword arm before flipping him over his shoulder. Akito grunted as he hit the ground but looked up, spotting Mercury bringing his boot down on his face. At the last second, Akito fired a stray shot from Alpha, the recoil sending him flying from right under Mercury's foot, which took him by surprise. Looking up, Mercury spotted Akito in midair, his eyes glowing an icy blue as his blade coated in a frosty aura before he dashed down and struck one of Mercury's legs, which was left with a frosty aura around it as well that went unnoticed by everyone in the stands. Taking notice of this, Mercury looked back at the Wolf before raising his hands with s slight smirk.

Mercury: "I forfeit."

Akito: "Huh..?" His eyes reverted to red as he looked at him confused.

Mercury: "What's the point? You clearly outclassed me at the end there. We're obviously leagues apart." The wolf stare only grew more suspicious as Mercury's grin grew to have more smugness in it.

Autumn: "I really don't like his smug ass..."

Summer: "You're not the only one.."

Winter: "What is their game plan..."

Glynda: "In that case... Akito Zara is the victor of this match. Next time, you may want to think a little harder before choosing an opponent."

Mercury: "I'll be sure to do that." And with that, the bell rung, with Blake jolting back awake.

Glynda: "This is all for today. And remember, the dance is this weekend. But you first year students all have your first missions on Monday. I will not accept any excuses."

As Mercury was making his way past Akito, he was stopped as the Wolf grabbed the human teen's forearm.

Akito: "You and your little green haired buddy think you're smart, but you're not. I know what you two did with and know you're both up to no good. Try something and I'll end up breaking a bone or two on both of you. Once this wolf has his prey in his sights, you better sleep with one eye open."

Mercury's smirk vanished as Akito walked away from him, exiting the classroom where he was joined by Setsuna and Team RWBY. As they walked away, Setsuna and Akito noticed Emerald and Mercury hurriedly waking away. With a silent gesture towards Setsuna, he told her to follow them, to which she nodded and did so discretely. However when she turned the corner, there was nothing. She sniffed the area and caught a whiff of their scent but couldn't see them. So she ended the search with that they were here and got away.

Setsuna: "Damnit..." She muttered before looking back to her partner, who gestured her to follow after seeing her signs, to which she did.

Turns out Emerald and Mercury were standing there, but some illusion casted by the former, masked them from Setsuna's eyes, but not their scent.

Emerald: "Shit... They're really on to us.. We need to tell Cinder."

With the others, they were walking through the school, heading towards their dorms for the day, with Blake in the front leading, though with her slightly hunched forwards. Akito had his eyes on her but said nothing. Since that night, the two have been... a bit distance.. no thanks to Blake choosing to ignore everyone.

Sun: "Hey Blake!" Everyone paused and looked around to see Sun and Neptune approaching. "You uh... doing okay?"

Blake: "I'm fine."

Sun: "So I hear there's this dance going on this weekend... ah, sounds pretty lame but you and me, I'm thinking, not as lame, huh?" Akito's eye twitched slightly as Blake was looking at him with a bored expression.

Blake: "What?"

Sun: "The dance! This weekend! You wanna go or what?"

Blake: "I don't have time for a stupid dance. I thought you of all people would get that." And with that, she swiftly walked away, leaving a dejected Sun looking down as everyone else besides Akito looked surprised.

Yang: "Woah... I was gonna say why Akito didn't ask her out already but, damn.." Is all she said, breaking the silence.

Akito's thoughts: "This was why I didn't ask her, cause I knew that was going to be her answer either way..."

Blake: "You what?"

Ruby: "We want you to go to the dance."

In the team's dorm room, Ruby, Yang, Weiss and Setsuna were trying to convince Blake to put her investigation on hold. Akito was also there, but he was just sitting on his bed in silence, reading one of his books. He had already tried to convince her and she completely chose to forget his words.

Blake: "That's ridiculous."

Yang: "Blake, we're worried about you. This investigation is starting to mess with your head."

Weiss: "You can't sleep, you hardly eat and to be honest, your grades have been suffering."

Blake: "You think I care about grades!? People's lives are at sake!"

Yang: "We know, and we're all still trying to figure out what Torchwick is up to."

Ruby: "Thanks to you, Akito and Sun, we know they're operating somewhere outside South-East Vale."

Weiss: "And, the Schnee Company records singled out Vale as the primary target for Dust robberies over the last few months."

Yang: "Don't forget about their missing military tech too."

Blake: "But there're still unanswered questions!"

Setsuna: "But what's the point on trying to answer them if you'll collapse doing it?? You're killing yourself, Blake."

Yang: "All we're asking is that you take it easy for one day."

Weiss: "It will be fun! Yang and I will make sure of it."

Yang: "Yeah! We're planning the whole event!" The feline looked at them with her brows furrowed.

Blake: "Excuse me?"

Weiss: "Yakumo and Team CFVY's away mission lasted longer than expected."

Yang: "So, Weiss and I were asked to pick up where they left off. And now, we can make sure you have a perfect night."

Weiss: "And once it's all over, we'll return for our search, rested and ready."

Ruby: "So, what do you think?" There was a brief silence with everyone besides Akito looking towards the feline Faunus, who said nothing before sighing slightly.

Blake: "...I think this is a colossal waste of time. I'll be in the library." She got up and briskly left. Yang sighed as Ruby looked on in worry and Weiss and Setsuna exchanged worried expressions.

Yang: "Great."

Weiss: "She can't keep going like this..." There was a knock on the door causing the four girls in the room to look at each other. Weiss was the one to answer the door, only to be sorely disappointed with who it was; Jaune with a guitar

Jaune: "WEISS~!" The Heiress immediately slammed the door in his face. "Oh come on, open the door! I promise won't sing!" With a deep sigh, she reluctantly opened the door and as everyone inside expected, he began singing... "I lied! Weiss Schu-nee, will you accompany me, to the dance on... Sunday!?"

Weiss: "...Are you done?"

Jaune: "...Yes?"

Weiss: "No." She then slammed the door in his face before turning to look at the others who were all looking at her, besides Akito. "What?"

Yang: "And that is why they call you the Ice Queen!" Immediately, Ruby and Setsuna fell off of the bed.

Setsuna and Ruby: "Oof!"

Weiss: "All my life, boys have only cared about the perks of my last name. Besides, I already have a date in mind."

Akito: "Neptune, I presume." He finally spoke, catching the now flustered heiress off guard who began fiddling with her hands.

Weiss: "N-No. Whatever do you mean!" In an instant, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter manifested in front of her, with her shaking her head.

Winter: "Trust us Weiss, he's not worth it."

Autumn: "That blue-haired asshole is just a playboy and doesn't care about love!"

Summer: "Once he lays his eyes on a cute girl, he'll immediately snap to her"

Spring: "Yeah! Please we just don't want you to end up hurting, Weiss."

Not only was Weiss flabbergasted, but was quite a overwhelmed. She didn't expect for all four of them to express their worries towards her. Part of her was agreeing with them, but she didn't want to believe it. She shook her head and smiled with a slight nervous chuckle.

Weiss: "I-I'll be fine girls, hehe..."

The four of them just looked at her, with worried expressions, especially the eldest of the four Winter. As Yang sighed and Setsuna just looked confused, Ruby looked at Akito, noticing that he was much quieter than usual. She had also taken notice to the fact that both him and Blake haven't talked since their special mission was over.

Ruby: "Akito? Did something happened between you and Blake?"

Yang: "Now that you mentioned it, you two seem to be avoiding each other lately. You two fight or something?" In response he closed his book, and picked up another with a bored expression.

Akito: "You could say that. I don't care, though. You girls go finish preparations for the dance. I'm gonna continue reading here." The three girls of team RWBY along with Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, who were asleep during that night, all gave concerning glances to each other as Setsuna slowly walked to him. She extended her hand to him and placed it on his.

Setsuna: "Akito..?"

Akito: "I'm fine, Setsu. I want you to have as much fun at the dance. Don't let me bring you down."

He gave her a slightly forced smile before getting up with his books and leaving the room, though his four sisters vanished back into his head. With the dance coming up, he was feeling a bit stressed, mainly with Blake's whole attitude lately. But despite how much he tried to help her, she still wouldn't just quit. So Akito could only ask himself...

If she wasn't willing to listen to him, then what point would it be to keep trying?

Akito: "If Roman Torchwick walked through that door, what would you do?"

Blake: "I'd fight him!"  She stated as she stood up as well, coming closer to the wolf who simply shoved her shoulder, causing her to stumble back slightly.

Akito: "You'd lose!"

Blake: "I can stop him!"  She retorted as she attempted to push him, but came off being extremely weak from her exhaustion so he didn't even budge.

Akito: "Oh really!? You can't even stop me and I've fought the fucker twice now!"
