Overview:

Ash Spectre, otherwise known as the dark dragon Chaos or the executioner Chaol Graves, is the protagonist of The Asnian Executioner Chronicles.

Description:

In his dragon form, Ash has black and silver scales, with red eyes and a silver horn. He is described as being several stories tall, with Xerina mentioning that he is easily over 50 stories tall.

Backstory:

Hundreds of years ago, Ash was born to dragons Light and Shadow as the dragon Chaos, and was raised by them in the dragon culture. He had a younger sister named Melody that he cared for deeply. Initially, he grew up, and was indifferent to humans, preferring the culture of dragons. He was described as bored and apathetic, but nevertheless was well regarded among dragons.

Initially, Chaos was described as a sadistic and ruthless dragon, enjoying spreading chaos and terror in his path, only caring for his family. After being cursed into human form, he was resentful and vengeful, declaring revenge against Caecilius Grendel for cursing him into mortal form.

~ Shadow Magic - Instead of breathing fire, Ash was able to breath and manipulate darkness without allowing his soul to corrupt. 

~ Shapeshifting - Ash, as Chaos, was able to switch from dragon form into any animal he desired.
