I laugh as I jump along the branch trying to keep up with Kiri, Lo'ak, and Spider. I'm even behind Tuk. Neteyam is doing patrol with Jake and Neytiri.

We all hoop and holler with glee. It's moments like these I don't want to rush, I just want to take my time and enjoy my freedom and our gorgeous home.

"Go monkey boy!" Kiri cheers at Spider.

"You guys! Wait up!" Tuk shouts at them.

"It's okay Tuk," I giggle at her, "We're better than them anyways. The slower the better."

We catch up to them as we make it back into the forest. Kiri falls behind us until Tuk stops, bending down to play with a plant. I wait with her.

"Tuk, keep up!" Lo'ak yells at her.

"Okay, okay," Tuk grumbles. She takes my hand and we follow once again.

"You're no fun Lo'ak," I taunt, knowing it'll get him.

He scoffs, "Yes I am. I'm the fun brother," He gloats.

"Bro, why'd you bring her anyway?" Spider asks, gesturing at Tuk. Why'd we bring him? I hold back from asking out loud.

"She's such a crybaby," Lo'ak throws his arms up, stopping to turn to us. "I'm telling. You're not supposed to go to the battlefield. I'll tell mom if you don't let me come," He uses a voice mimicking Tuk.

"Don't pick on her," Kiri chastises as Tuk pushes her way through all of us and sticks her tongue out at her brother causing me to laugh til my lungs hurt.

We keep moving as I take in all the sounds and scents around us, itching to practice my powers. I can't believe I actually healed Neteyam! It makes me wonder what else I can do.

"Come on," Lo'ak encourages, climbing up to an old, rusted plane wrapped in vines. Kiri moves ahead of us.

"Oh, sick!" Spider joins in excitement . I feel like we shouldn't be over here...

"Are there any dead bodies up there!" Tuk shouts. My eyes widen, maybe we should've followed Kiri. Spider leaves to go find her after a few minutes.

"It's getting late," I look up to Lo'ak.

"Okay," He sighs, jumping down. We start looking for Spider and Kiri, Tuk and Lo'ak call out Kiri's name several times.

I follow the purple leaves and spot Spider crouched down beside her. Oh no. I bet she was zoned out again. "Found them!"

"Kiri!" Tuk exclaims. "We have to go back." Her and Spider nod.

We start speeding walking, no more hops and skips, and I can tell the sun is starting to disappear. I hope we make it back in time or Jake will lose it, and he's been through enough the past couple days.

Lo'ak stops up ahead, staring at something.

"Lo'ak come on," I urge.

"What is it?" Kiri huffs as he jumps down, and Spider follows. They crouch down.

"We're always supposed to be home by eclipse," Tuk reminds her brother. Yes, thank you Tuk! I give her a pat on the shoulder.

"What are you guys looking at?" I ask. Kiri swings over the branch bridge and I slide down it to see a footprint in the mud.

"It's way too big for a human," Lo'ak mumbles, looking around.

"Avatars?" Spider suggests.

"Maybe."

I hold my hand out, hovering it over the print. Spider goes to say something until Lo'ak holds up a finger for him to wait. Small droplets float up and my hand starts to shake. I let out a grunt, letting them go. That's weird. Something's not right.

"Well?" Lo'ak asks.

I frown. "Something's off."

"Definitely not ours," Lo'ak nods with the confirmation, then him and Spider start following the rest of the prints.

"What are you doing?" Kiri rushes out. I motion for Tuk and she latches onto my arm.

"Shhh, tracking," Lo'ak tells her.

"We need to get home," I stress. My spine starts to tense, making me feel uneasy. Kiri looks at me as she rolls her eyes at the boys for not listening before we begin to follow them.

We come across the forbidden part of the forest and see movement.

"We are never supposed to come here," Kiri voices my thoughts. "Dad is going to ground you."

Lo'ak shushes her. "Stop," He rolls his eyes.

"For life," She emphasizes.

"Shhh," Spider echoes.

"Bro, we have got to check this out," Lo'ak turns to him. "Let's go."

"What, no!" My eyes widen. They start slowly creeping closer, Lo'ak's hand on his bow, ready. "No, get back here!" I whisper-shout. I drop my head down with a sigh. I'm the oldest one here which means I have to be responsible for everyone. I feel like I'm failing Jake.

They rejoin us after a couple minutes and Lo'ak reaches for his neck piece to contact Jake.

"Dog, Double Dog, this is Eagle Eye, over," He uses their code names.

"Eagle Eye, send your traffic," Jake responds right away.

"I got eyes on some guys," He starts and Kiri quickly pulls out her earpiece to stick in her ear as I readjust mine. "They look like Avatar's, but they're in full camo and carrying AR's. There's... six of them," He describes. "Over."

"What's your pos? Over," Jake asks.

"Uh-ooh," Lo'ak hesitates, knowing he'll get in trouble. "We're at the old shack."

Jake takes a second. "Who's we?"

I sigh. So does Lo'ak.

"Me, Spider, Kamari, Kiri," He glances over at us and Kiri gives him a pointed look to finish. "And Tuk." Tuk frowns. Kiri wraps her arm around Tuk's torso to comfort her.

"Son, you listen to me very carefully," Jake speaks slowly, "You pull back right now. Do not make a sound. And get the hell out of there." Lo'ak nods as he makes eye contact with Kiri and I. I nod. "Move, do you copy?" We all start shuffling backward, slowly and quietly.

"Yes sir. Moving out."

"See!" Kiri seethes at him. "Told you."

"Go, go," Lo'ak whispers to us.

"Dad! I know a quick way," Neteyam yells, nodding his head to the right. Neytiri lets out a battle cry.

Neteyam's whole body filled with extra adrenaline and fear the minute Lo'ak said Kamari was with them. He has to get to her. Now.

The three Sully's shift their Ikrans towards Neteyam's shortcut.

โœฌ

We start hurrying through the forest once again, extra urgency than before, as Kiri is still harping at Lo'ak.

"You're going to be in so much trouble."

"Shh, Kiri, stop," He snaps at her.

"Ah, you two!" I speak up. We don't have time for this.

"Guys, come on," Spider gets on to them.

"It's almost Eclipse! Come on," Tuk looks back at us worried.

As she turns back around someone jumps out of the tree and grabs her causing her to scream. I gasp.

"Tuk!" Kiri and I yell.

I go to reach for her but Lo'ak pulls me back by the tail as him and Spider raise their bows up.

The rest of the Avatar's we just saw moments ago slowly emerge from the tree's with their guns.

"Get down! Now!" They shout at us. "Put it down or I'll shoot you!"

"With me," One of the men says.

"Drop it! Right now!"

Fear floods through my whole body as my eyes start to well up with tears. Spider grunts and hisses at the men.

Lo'ak drops his bow. "Spider."

"Spider!" Kiri shouts at him. "Down."

They grab our arms, forcing them behind our backs. Kiri hisses as I try to thrash free.

"Ow! Ow!" Kiri yells as her hair is pulled. They kick her and I's legs out from under us, shoving us down to our knees.

"Stop fighting," The man holding Kiri demands. Spider starts hissing again.

I keep struggling. "Quit moving!" The man hold me jerks my hair too. I bite back my pain. I've learned from my years of torture to not give these kind of people the satisfaction.

"Kiri!" Tuk cries out.

"Calma," Kiri tries to sooth her and continues to speak to her calmingly in our language to avoid the men hearing.

"Shut up! Don't move!"

"What have we here?" The only man not holding one of us speaks. He pauses to look at Spider. I'm guessing he's the one in charge.

They shove the gun up closer to Lo'ak's head.

"Lo'ak!" I yell out.

He holds up his hand to me gesturing 'it's okay' before reaching out for Kiri as the man moves over to her.

"Colonel," The one with Kiri lifts her hand, "Four fingers. We got a half breed."

"Shit," Spider mutters.

The man pulls her up and yanks her head back as 'Colonel' eyes her.

I swallow as the one holding me grabs my hand to examine me next. "What the hell kinda half breed is this?" He shoves my hand in the air, showing off my glowing fingers.

The Colonel walks up me with a look in his eyes I've seen far too many times, that makes me want to puke. He turns to Lo'ak. "Show me your fingers."

Lo'ak slowly raises his two middle fingers, flipping him off. I can't help but let out a small, strained chuckles.

The Colonel laughs slowly, "You're his. Aren't you?" Lo'ak hisses at him. "You're his alright," He smirks. I gulp, knowing right away he means Jake. He grabs Lo'ak by the neck and jerks him up, causing him to winces. "Where is he?" He jerks him again.

"Nรฌkeftxo plltxe le'รŒnglรฌsรฌ, kurkung," Lo'ak smarts off to him.

"Peseng fko syaw sempul?" The Colonel spits out a horrible version of Na'vi right back at him, yanking his head harder. Loak grunts in pain.

"No!" Tuk hollers.

Lo'ak tries hissing again, failing to do so this time.

"Really? You wanna play it this way?" The Colonel asks him before pulling out a large knife. I look over to Kiri and she yells out to Lo'ak. The Colonel throws Lo'ak down, moving over to her.

"Hey! Hey don't touch her!" Spider screams, pulling to break free. "Don't hurt her, please."

"Plltxe 'ampi lefnele!" I shout. The man holding onto me forcefully yanks my neck back. "Ow!"ย  I try to move my hand to a position where I can burn him.

The Colonel stops, turning to Spider, "What's your name kid?"

"Spider. Socorro."

Colonel's ears move back as his face changes to shock. He motions for the Avatar holding Spider to release him as he walks over and bends down to Spider's level. "Miles?"

Spider looks disgusted, "Nobody calls me that."

"Well, all be damned. I figured they sent you back to Earth," He says.

"Can't put babies in cryo dipshit," Spider snaps. Colonel motions once again and the man places his hands back on Spider's shoulder.

"What are we doing boss?" He asks.

The Colonel grabs his neck piece, similar to the one we use. "Iron Sky, blue on actual." He pauses a second. "We're standing by on extract. Over. Be advised we're brining in high value prisoners." Please all mother, please let Jake and Neytiri get here soon.

"Let us go!" Kiri demands as they start to move us.

"Shut up!" One yells as they start strapping our hands together. Now's my chance! I quickly grab the man's wrist and burn.

"Ow! You little!" He back hands me. I grunt in pain, falling to the ground.

"Kamari!" Lo'ak yells.

The man jerks me back to my feet and ties my hands extra tight, cutting into my skin, and they throw us onto the ground.

"That one burned me," He tells the Colonel.

"Interesting," He smiles eagerly.

I gulp as my eyes start to sting.

"Are you okay?" Kiri whispers to me, scooting closer before one of them kicks her legs.

"Shut your mouth."

"Lyle, get me some audio on this," Colonel barks out. "That's Sully's woman."

I perk up. Then I hear Jake's voice. "Give it up Quaritch."

"Sully."

"It's all over," Jake says.

"Nothing's over while I'm breathing," The Colonel barks out, but it's all coming from the device.

"I'd kinda hoped you say that," Jake taunts. It's a recording. I look over to Spider gawk at what's playing with an uneasy look since he has a better view. I lean my head back on a tree as I screw my eyes shut, it hurts from being yanked on so much.

โœฌ

Neytiri, Jake, and Neteyam land their Ikrans on some tree branches before all three quickly hop off.

"No no, you stay with the Ikrans," Jake orders Neteyam.

"Dad, I'm a warrior like you. I'm supposed to fight!" Neteyam stresses.

"Neteyam," Neytiri intervenes.

"They have Kamari!" He raises his voice.

Neytiri looks to Jake. He nods subtlety, confirming her unspoken question.

"I'm not gonna say it again," Jake puts his foot down.

Neteyam sighs, "Yes sir." He walks back to his Ikran as his parents turn away before he swivels back around with a fiercely determined look. They have Kamari.

He can't just stay here and do nothing. He feels this pull towards her, his mind and body screaming at him to get to her now. It's the same way he felt the night the Sky People returned, but stronger.

As the eclipse sets and darkness settles around us, they now have us standing under one of the tree's as it rains, yanking us back if we lean too far forward. Kiri and Spider get jerked back. The Colonel whispers something to the man holding them and he pulls them off to the side with him. All the Avatar's have their guns ready to fire.

I sigh defeatedly before a familiar signal echo's in the distance. I gasp quietly as Tuk jerks her head up. Kiri's ear twitches as she and Lo'ak turn their heads. It repeats, louder this time, closer. Oh, thank you great mother! The signal continues to ring out through the forest.

Spider turns to Lo'ak and Lo'ak gives him a small nod of confirmation before Spider is yanked back again. Kiri mutters something about Eywa and her braid is jerked. She lets out a holler of pain. She continues until the man holding her is shot in the face with an arrow.

The rest of the men start yelling and rush in front of us, shoving Kiri and Spider down as they start firing away.

"Lo'ak!" Neytiri yells out. He pulls the grenade off the man's vest that's standing beside him and green gas spews out, then he grabs the one that's barely holding onto him and bites his arm. Tuk follows her brother, biting the one that has an arm around her.

I burn the arm of the one lightly holding me and stumble backwards, quickly closing my eyes. A tree branch snaps and comes tumbling down. I open them again, smiling in satisfaction.

"Lo'ak!" Tuk yells.

"Get back here!" One of them reaches out for her as Kiri grabs her.

"Run!" Lo'ak yells. I rush back up to my feet. Spider and Kiri grab each other and begin to run until one of the men grab Kiri's braid. Another arrow is shot at the Avatar, taking him down.

"Come on!" Spider grabs Kiri.

"Lo'ak, let's go!" I yell before hurrying to catch up. The Colonel yells out to Neytiri and she shouts back.

I scream as one of them wraps his arm around my throat. "You're sparkle fingers, aren't ya?" He squeezes on my throat to the point I can't breathe. Darkness starts to overcome me until an arrow swishes past my head and I'm released.

I fall forward, gasping for air. I look up blinking. "Teyam?" I choke out. What is he doing here?! He rushes to set up another arrow as one of the men yell something. I look behind me to see him start to shoot and scramble to dive forward to Neteyam before Jake flies out of nowhere, tackling him to the ground.

I rush to my feet and Jake grabs my arm, hauling me forward, and the three of us run behind a tree as bullets start firing off again.

"You okay boy? Kamari?" Jake rushes out. "Ready? Ready?" Everything's moving so fast I can't comprehend anything.

"Yes sir," Neteyam heaves. Jake quickly steps around the tree and shoots a couple times. "Move!" Neteyam pulls my arm this time as the three of us start running again.

We jump down in front of Lo'ak and Tuk causing her to scream before she realizes it's us.

"Are you hurt?" Jakes asks. "Are you okay? Tuk, Tuk," He bends down to her and she rushes into his arms.

"Daddy," She starts crying.

Everything starts spinning. I lean into Neteyam.

"Are you okay?" He rushes out, his voice sounding muffled. "Kamari? Kamari answer me!" I bury my face into his neck, letting out a whimper, and he begins to stroke my sore head.

"Okay, we're clear," Jake says once the Avatar's plane begins to take off.

Neytiri and Kiri coming rushing up to us and Tuk rushes into her mothers arms.

"Tuk," She whispers as she starts to cry.

"Everyone okay?" Jake asks them. He pulls Neteyam, me, and Lo'ak closer. "It's okay."

"Thank you Great Mother! Thank you!" Neytiri cries out.

"Where's Spider?" Lo'ak asks, noticing his absence.

"They took him," Kiri's words tremble. "They took him," She repeats in tears.

"It's alright baby girl," Jake pulls her in for a hug. "Shh, he's a strong kid. Alright, shhh." She starts sobbing into Jake's chest, causing my heart to break. I clutch harder onto Neteyam. "He's gonna be okay. We're all gonna be okay."
