Hi guys, I'm so sorry for being inactive for a loooongg time. I've just been busy and enjoying my last bits of summer vacation. :((

Please forgive me and onto the story!!

Free de la Hoya was pretty much just your average prince. You know, eat, train, royal duties, repeat. His kingdom wasn't the most popular, but it was well-known enough for people from other kingdoms to recognize him and his family. He was never much of a person with many interests. He likes animals (preferably deer), sleeping, and a good amount of training. He may seem like a person that has absolutely no care in the world, but that's where people are wrong. He aspires to become a great king, ruler, and leader one day. Just like his father. 

FLASHBACK:

Prince Free, being the curious five-year old he is, was wandering around the castle when he spotted a large meeting room with muffled conversation coming from there. He put his ear to the door and listened very carefully. 

"But Your Highness, that man was caught stealing from the food reserve! With all due respect, why would you spare him?!"

"As King of this kingdom, it is my duty to pay attention to my people and their well-being. It was my fault that I was unaware that a certain town was left without any food because of the critters eating them. I shall personally take care of that situation and spare that man and his family."

"But Your Highness-"

"No buts. I will fix this problem myself and that is my final decision. End of discussion."

Free smiled to himself, listening to that now-finished conversation between his father and the royal advisor. From that day on, he vowed to himself to be a king worthy of this kingdom and a son that makes his parents proud.

END OF FLASHBACK

He was walking down the hallway and was about to grab his gear for training in the dorm room, but he then hear some heavy breathing and words of comfort coming from the room. He peeked inside and saw a dazed Yuna being comforted by Shu. Now don't get me wrong, Free is great friends with both of them, but Free has feelings for Yuna and Shu is in the middle of that.

Ever since the moment he laid eyes on her, his heart gave a flutter but ignored it. He wanted the best for her but he also want to be with her. 

He peeked in the room and unknowingly listened to their conversation. He felt happy the two are getting along, but with their destinies intertwined and practically decided, his heart knows that deep inside that they are meant to be together.  He walks back to the dining hall and wonders what to do with his situation. His friends spot him and wave him over.

He sits on the table while his friends bombard him with questions. 

"Hey Free, where have you been?"

"What were you doing?"

"What took you man?"

He pays attention to every one of their questions and answers them casually, as if nothing ever happened. "I was going to get my gear but Yuna was sleeping and I didn't want to wake her up."  (A/N I know, I know. It's a horrible excuse and Free always has smarter answers than that, but pls have mercy on me.)

Everyone just nodded in agreement while Wakiya saw it differently. He can see through those lies and knew he wasn't being honest. He gathered up the facts and thought that he saw Shu and Yuna talking in the room and didn't want to interrupt them. This little love triangle of theirs sure oughta'  make this school year interesting. Wakiya thought to himself. A few minutes later, Shu returned with a tray filled with cold barely-touched food. 

"So Shu, how did it go? Did she eat anything?" Honcho asked. The whole table (except Lui being the ice-cold prince he is) asked those questions while She was trying to answer all their questions.

"She was fine at first, but when she brought the food up her mouth, she started getting queasy. She's still a bit shaken up and confused. But she's gonna be okay, I hope..." She mumbled the last part, but said it loud enough for the others to hear. After that news, Shu and the rest of the table became silent. they eventually just shook it off and went to class.

Class wasn't the same without Yuna trying to get the others to quiet down or chat with us when the lesson gets boring. When they got back to the room, Yuna was just reading a book.

"Hi guys how was your day without me?" Yuna asked with a sneaky smile.

"It was good, but it wasn't the same without you." Valt said to the young princess which made her smile.

"Aww thanks Valt, your so sweet." the girl replied. The others said similar things and soon went to bed.

Shu was getting ready to go to bed as the others were already asleep except for him and Yuna. She was still reading while Shu was tired from the training. He walked over to Yuna and hugged her which surprised her. The hug lasted a couple of minutes and then Shu finally said a silent goodnight. He leaned in and gave a small and quick peck on her cheek and then immediately ran off to his own bed and drew his curtains back, leaving a happy and dazed Princess.

Yuna couldn't believe what happened. Her crush, and the prince of her rival-kingdom, kissed her on her cheek. Many thoughts were racing in her mind but one of them kept popping up.  Some not-so-positive, but that wasn't on the front of her mind. Does he like me back??

She asked herself. She then went to sleep hoping the next day would give her her answers.
