Katsuki didn't necessarily agree with Adaliah going back to school, especially after the mall incident, but she was adamant. She whined about missing class, and missing work, all while shaking and trying to buckle Aspen's vest around her.
He rolled his eyes, trying to get Kai on his side, but the brunet was useless. He shrugged, simply giving Katsuki his phone number as a just in case before heading off to his residency.
"Look, Katsuki, it was scary, yea, but if I'm going to be a hero, I can't- I can't let things like that run my life. " Adaliah huffed, clipping on Aspen's leash and slipping on her backpack. Her hands were shaky, and her breathing was never quite consistent.
She was on guard since he came over this morning-- to walk to school-- and just seemed...off. For instance, he went to pass her her bento while she was packing her bag, and she had flinched. She never flinched from him. Ever. His alpha felt hurt at the action, but he had to remind himself on how he found her at the mall.
He still couldn't believe what had happened at the mall. He wasn't even sure what happened, period. Truth be told, it didn't matter to him.
Adaliah looked terrible when he went to go look for her, a broken shell. It was obvious she was done with the mall trip after that, and so was he. He had snapped on anyone who tried stopping him, almost trying starting a fight with fucking Icy-hot when he tried saying he could call a cab for him and Adaliah to get her home sooner.
He wasn't letting her out of his sight any time soon and if Icy-hot was willing to lose a hand for him to prove it? Katsuki wasn't against it.
He grumbled nonetheless, turning and leaving the apartment with the white-ette duo behind him. He took Aspen while Adaliah locked the door before giving her back, the two making their way to U.A..
___
Adaliah was thankful for Principal Nezu. He was one of the first ones to convince her to bring Aspen to school with her and signed the permission slip for his go ahead. Right now though, she was cursing his name.
She could feel the glances her way as she tried completing her math work. Eyes watching her every move. Maybe Aspen's too.
The pooch whined as the grip on her pencil tightened, already standing and laying her head in Adaliah's lap. Adaliah dropped her pencil, massaging the dog's ears as she tried regulating her breathing. She was wearing a scent blocking collar so she didn't need to worry about that. Just her breathing and her work.
She could focus on that.
Not the red eyes watching her.
It wasn't creepy. Not at all! He was being manly, okay! Watching to make sure she was okay! It was what men do! That was what Kirishima told himself at least. He wasn't creepy.
He grumbled to himself at his inner battle, almost missing the piece of paper being thrown at him. Denki grinned, even if it looked a little forced, gesturing for him to open the letter. When he did, he almost groaned at the absolute mess that was Denki and Sero's writing.
So, guess what I heard from Mineta?? >:D
God, I'm not even sure I wanna know.
Well, you do. It involves the girls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Oh Dios. Fine what.
The girls are planning on going to the pool before we have to leave for I-Expo.
And why do we care?
Why do we- SIR- GIRLS?! BATHING SUITS?!?
Tu asqueroso
GOD YOU ARE NO FUN >^<
I'm gonna ask Kirishima then >:(((
Your funeral.
Heyyyyy KIRRIII-
You down for some...Training later? Endurance training?
Kirishima rolled his eyes, quickly jotting down his response and making sure Aizawa was too busy at the board to notice before passing it back to Denki.
I can read everything before this, Kaminari.
The response came back within seconds.
Is that a no?
I don't know...
Can't believe your making me pull out my ace card ;^;
Imagine, if you will, Chisaki in a bikini.
Kirishima hated that his cheeks heated up at the traitorous part of his brain that conjured up the image. Just imagining her flushed cheeks as she kept her head down, refusing to meet anyones eyes. Maybe she'd wear a red one? Or a black one, keep it classy. Maybe a white one to keep her angelic features true.
Fuck. No, not the time. Shaking his head, Kirishima sighed through his nose, rolling his shoulders before writing his response.
I'll go, but not for that. It's for training.
I think you've been hanging around Mineta too much.
YESSS!
And don't lie to me. I saw the blush ;)
And I don't really hang out with him. He just sticks around like a parasite >:(((
Parasite? Kirishima could think of a few parasites around him that he wouldn't mind getting rid of. Midoriya, Iida, that new kid. He growled at the thought of all the people around him that could get in his way.
"Having issues, Kirishima?" Aizawa's eyes were cold as they glared down at him, making the red-head shrivel up.
"No, Aizawa-sensei, just...stuck."
The raven nodded, turning back around before going on about parabolic expressions.
He needed to calm down if he wanted to think about how to take down the parasites around him.
____
Black, school provided, one piece.
That was what Adaliah would wear. That and a plain black towel wrapped around her like a safety blanket. She would sit on the sidelines, on another towel, Aspen laying beside her, simply reading as the girls played volleyball in the other pool. The shade of the bleachers protected her, giving a small sense of relief, but with how tight she held herself that was gone right away.
"Isn't that book about murder?"
"Yep."
Hitoshi chuckled, sitting beside Adaliah, and patting Aspen. Though he was a cat person, Aspen was still a good dog. The alpha himself was wearing the school provided swim trunks with a black swim shirt, nothing flashy.
He watched her bookmark her place before setting the book down, pulling her towel tighter. Her eyes were half-lidded as she yawned, watching the boys slowly settle in. They already agreed on having races, which Momo was judging, splitting into groups.
"It reeks of testosterone." Adaliah giggled, watching with a careful eye. Katsuki won his race, smirking triumphantly at those he beat.
Hitoshi barked out a laugh, "Oh my god, yeah it totally does."
The two laughed about random things that point on, barely paying attention to the races, unaware of the glares directed their way.
(Adaliah is the densest bitch I swear-)
"Hey- Shitty tits!"
Both looked up at the nickname, Hitoshi grimacing at the fact that Adaliah responded to such a horrid nickname.
"Yes, Katsuki?"
"FUCKING PAY ATTENTION TO THIS, GOT IT?!"
She nodded, watching the race a little more closely. Truth be told, she didn't really care about the race, but Katsuki cared and she cared for him.
She was glad she ended up watching long enough for the three to face plant in the water, making her burst out in laughter.
