"This is stupid."

"You're stupid."

Kai grunted, shoving his sister to the side ever so slightly. She chirped before steadying herself, sending a playful glare his way. It was the morning of the sports festival and Kai had taken the day off from work and school to be there. His sister was going to be there, so he sure as hell wasn't going to miss watching her kickass.

That didn't mean he wouldn't complain about it though.

They were walking between stalls, Adaliah in her gym uniform beside him. Last minute nerves had her shaking, so Kai decided to take her for a walk.  Vendors lined up and down the walkway, each with some sort of hero merch available; Hawks, Mirko, Endeavor, All might, you name it. The bright colors were an easy distraction for his sister's goldfish attention span, as she soon began chirping away in excitement.

"If I don't get one of those cinnamon sugar donuts by the end of the day I'll chuck myself off of the top of U.A.. " Adaliah teased, watching as they walked past a donut stall.

Kai huffed, making a mental note of the treat. She couldn't eat this close to the festival-- or else she'd get sick-- but, Kai would more likely than not treat her to one at the end of the festival.

"You know, she'll most likely show up today." Kai grumbled, ruining the once nice atmosphere between them.

Adaliah swallowed, eyes downcast. "I know. Tsunagi texted me he'll try to show up as well."

Kai gave her a subtle pat to her back, a silent promise to keep them far away from her to the best of his ability. "You don't have to talk to them. No one is forcing you to do anything, but yourself."

"I know."

"Angel!"

Looking up, Adaliah waved at the blond trotting their way, the alpha waving back as he closed in on them.

He was sent to look for the omega, since the festival was starting soon, and was more then happy to look for her. When he found her with the tall brunet male, his inner alpha panicked. How was he? Why was he touching his omega?! What did he do to her?!

Why was she letting him touch her?!

She didn't let anyone other than Bakugo, Kirishima and Midoriya on occasion touch her. Denki knew they only were allowed because of personal reasons. But he's never seen this man with Adaliah before. He didn't look old enough to be her dad, so that was out.

"Hiya, Denki!" His omega preened brightly, a great contrast to the male beside her. The male Denki was trying to read. He was stone though. "Kai, this is Denki Kaminari, one of my classmates, Denki this is my older brother Kai."

Brother. That would explain it. Brother was okay. Brother was no threat to him. Plastering on a smile, Denki held a hand for Kai to shake (Which he did with a gloved hand). His grip was tight, an unsaid threat from one alpha  to another.

Denki made a show to swallow tightly.

When he let go, he watched Adaliah hug her brother tightly, slipping him her student ID so he could visit her between breaks if he so wished. After they separated, she smiled at him, walking back to the class meet-up room.

The two were quiet as they walked, Denki breaking it.

"Thank you."

"For?"

"Back in class a few days ago. When you stuck up for me. I meant to say thank you then, but you seemed so occupied with training and all-" He rambled, Adaliah giggling before she placed a hand on his shoulder, stopping completely.

"It's okay, Denki. Like I said, everyone deserves to have someone believe in them, and I'm more than happy to fill that spot for anyone."

He smiled down at her before rubbing the back of his neck. His heart was beating wildly in his chest, breathing speeding up wildly as he looked down at her wide eyes.

"Hey, I was wondering if-"

"Kaminari, Chisaki! What are you both doing out here?! We have to be prepared to go onto the field in five minutes!" Hands cut between them, pushing them apart as Iida stood between them, his back towards Adaliah as he snarled down at Denki.

Denki had a half a mind to snarl back. He would've but, Adaliah quickly peeked around Iida, offering an apology with a bashful smile. Though she may have failed to see it, Denki zoned in on the soft smile Iida gave her, dismissing her with a tense wave.

Shame really. Denki didn't want to have an enemy with Iida, but if he had too, he would do anything for the win.

Walking into the room their class was in, the trio was hit with an immediate waft of straight up alpha. The domineering effect of Alpha pheromones' hit them straight in the face.

Someone was trying to assert dominance over the class.

True to their second genders, the alpha's felt their fangs drop and the hairs on the back of their neck (Hackles) raise as their alphas pushed to the surface. They didn't snarl but they did growl lowly. Adaliah was behind them, already shrinking in on herself as her head angled in a way her neck was easily accessible. Jirou and Uraraka were in similar stances, the inner omegas more likely than not, laying on their stomachs.

Fighting the males in their class was so much different than fighting an alpha of any gender. When alpha's took over, reason and causation were thrown out the window. They focused on winning and nothing else. Omegas naturally showed their weak points, giving into the alpha. It took a lot to get an omega aggressive, especially against alphas. They normally chose to instead stand next to an alpha they trusted, hiding behind them.

Speaking of...

A small chirp sounded behind them, a responding one echoing right after, Adaliah pushing past them and rushing to one of the alphas on the sidelines. The smell-bomb was erupting from Todoroki and Midoriya as they stood in the middle, only amplifying when the white-ette ran to her best friend.

Bakugo pulled her in tightly, keeping her behind him and growling when anyone dared to look at them.

Todoroki huffed through his nose at the sight, shaking his head and raising his voice. "I'm not just better than you Midoriya. Looking at it objectively, I'm better than everyone here.  You, that blond over there, even the timid little thing behind him. You all seem to be more focused on making friends when the sports festival is more than that. "

"Can all class 1-A students make their way to the field, all class 1-A students?"

Nobody moved until Bakugo stomped out with Adaliah on his heels.

The lights were to bright and the crowd was much to loud for her. Her stomach was tightening with every step, and with Katsuki's hand on her back, she was stuck in her spot.

She wanted to turn and flee, tuck herself away in her nest where no one would dare bother her. She knew she was out there. Watching and waiting for her to step out. It's what she did. She watched over Adaliah's every move, only caring if she mis-stepped or stumbled. Then, and only then would she act.

She never hit Adaliah, but her mean words had Adaliah cowering away no matter what. Tsunagi was always in charge of the physical punishments.

That didn't mean her mother didn't scare the ever living shit out of her. Maybe it was because he mother was one of the few quirks that hers just couldn't beat. Her mother, whom she didn't consider her mother, more of an egg donor, was always one step ahead. Between her and Tsunagi, she was always behind. When she thought she had a way out, they were always four steps ahead.

Hell, it took her and Kai put together to get away from them.

Kai took her and ran when he found out her handler was clipping her wings, renting them an apartment with money he saved over the years.  Funny enough, they still lived in that apartment. It was small but they loved it. Adaliah loved it especially. It wasn't big.

It gave her her own room to be herself.

Not like the field.

The field was big and had everyone looking at her; People who she can't see could see her.

"Hey," Katsuki forced her to look at him as other classes walked out. "Tsunagi wouldn't try anything with so many people around."

"Katsuki, he has connections. The commission is everywhere." Bright vermillion feathers caught the corners of her eye as she stepped closer. "He doesn't need to do anything. Someone else will get to me first if he wants something done."

He didn't say anything after that.

Katsuki: You know when I tell you not to do something-

Adaliah: And I ignore you, yeah.

-

Adaliah: Shoto does not have a crush on me!

Ochako: Yes he does.

Hagakure: Yes he does.

Shoto: Yes I do.

-

Katsuki: *Smiles*

Adaliah: Who's hurt.

Katsuki: Why does someone have to get hurt for me to smile?

Katsuki: Can't I just smile?

Denki: Midoriya tripped in the parking lot.
